In this paper, the life cycle assessment (LCA) results for U76CrRE rail produced by Baotou Steel were calculated and obtained by carrying out its LCA study. The distribution of its environmental influencing factors at each stage was analyzed as well as the energy consumption of each production process and the composition for carbon emission of outsourced products are further analyzed. The study results provide the scientific data support for the ecological design and green manufacturing of U76CrRE rail.
