The two methods for measuring magnetic properties of non-oriented electrical steel include the Epstein frame method and uniwafer method. In the paper, it is introduced their equipment, sampling method, specimen size, amount and detection method as well as mianly analyzed the testing data results measured with them. The results showed that the range value and standard deviation of iron loss and magnetic polarization intensity measured with the Epstein frame method were all smaller and more accurate than those measured with uniwafer method, however, the sample size is large and requirements of specimen size are strict with the Epstein frame method, while the sample size is small and deviation is within permissible range with the uniwafer method, so the uniwafer method could replace the Epstein frame method to measure the magnetic properties of non-oriented electrical steel.
