The causes for longitudinal crack on high strength steel of wide and thick plate of Baotou Steel are found out through analyzing the chemical composition of high strength steel, water quantity and cone angle of crystallizer, casting powder and production organization combining with the casting machine and technological characteristics for wide plate of Baotou Steel. Moreover, such control measures as optimizing the production organization, properly increasing cone angle of crystallizer, decreasing water quantity of crystallizer and optimizing operation of changing ladle between heats are established so that the longitudinal crack on high strength steel is reduced obviously. The results showed that strict quality control measure was the key factor to eliminate longitudinal crack on high strength steel.

结合包钢宽板铸机设备和工艺特点，通过对高强钢化学成分、结晶器水量、结晶器锥度、保护渣和生产组织的分析，找出了包钢宽厚板高强钢纵裂产生的原因，并制定了优化生产组织、适当加大结晶器锥度、减少结晶器水量和优化炉次间换包操作等控制措施，从而使高强钢纵裂情况有了明显改善。结果表明，严格的质量控制措施是克服高强钢纵向裂纹的关键因素。
