In the paper, it is introduced the exploratory study on low temperature reagent is carried out in view of the mineral characteristics and climatic conditions of Bayan Obo Iron Mine. Compared with the original flotation reagent, the flotation temperature can reduce to about 30 ℃ with the new low temperature reagent, the grade of iron concentrate increases by 0.22 percentage points and the recovery rate increases by 1.26 percentage points.
