In this paper, the loads of harmful elements such as the alkali metal, zinc, sulfur and phosphorus in blast furnace of Iron-making Plant of Baotou Steel are calculated and analyzed in detail. Besides, their main sources and proportion in each blast furnace are found out. The influences of them on blast furnace process are expounded theoretically and the corresponding control measures for them are put forward according to the raw material condition of Baotou Steel, which could provide the technical guidance for controlling them in iron making process of Baotou Steel.
