The ultra-deep perforation for all kinds of lithology in the main stope of Bayan Obo Iron Mine is optimized through a large number of experiments in the blast area based on the blasting work experiences for many years aiming at the unreasonable ultra-deep perforation, especially the problem of larger ultra-deep perforation. As a result, the crushing effect on the top of the blast area and linear meter of perforation are improved, the unit consumption of explosive is reduced, the damages of blast vibration are weakened, the flatness of floor for steps of stope is improved as well as the standardization and quantification of blasting design and construction are perfected to ensure the efficient, high-quality and low-cost operations of each production process in the stope.
