To investigate the damage evolution and failure mechanism of fiber-reinforced concrete under action of earthquake, a series of monotonic and reciprocating axial compression tests were conducted on steel fiber reinforced concrete to analyze the influence of fiber addition on the stress-strain behavior of concrete. The focus was on exploring the relationship between the mechanical behavior degradation and internal damage accumulation of concrete under cyclic axial compression, including plastic strain, stiffness degradation, and energy dissipation. The results indicate that the monotonic loading curve is close to the envelope of the reciprocating axial compression curve. The addition of steel fibers significantly improves the post peak ductility of concrete and increases residual stress. Due to the crack resistance and toughening effect of steel fibers, the failure mode of concrete after adding fibers has evolved from brittle failure of a single vertical main crack to ductile failure mode of multi crack cracking. Steel fibers can effectively improve the seismic mechanical behavior of concrete. After adding fibers, the degradation of elastic stiffness and plastic strain development of concrete are effectively controlled, and the energy dissipation performance is enhanced.

为探究地震作用下纤维混凝土的损伤演化和失效机制,开展了一系列钢纤维混凝土单调和往复轴压试验,分析纤维掺入对混凝土应力应变行为的影响,重点探讨循环轴压下混凝土塑性应变、刚度退化及能量耗散等力学行为衰退与内部损伤累积的关系。结果表明,单调加载曲线接近于往复轴压曲线的包络线。钢纤维的掺入显著改善混凝土峰后延性,并提高残余应力。由于钢纤维的阻裂增韧作用,掺入纤维后混凝土破坏形态由单个竖向主裂缝的脆性破坏演变为多缝开裂的延性破坏模式。钢纤维还能有效改善混凝土抗震力学行为,掺入纤维后混凝土弹性刚度退化和塑性应变发展均得到有效控制,能量耗散性能增强。

为探究地震作用下纤维混凝土的损伤演化和失效机制,开展了一系列钢纤维混凝土单调和往复轴压试验,分析纤维掺入对混凝土应力应变行为的影响,重点探讨循环轴压下混凝土塑性应变、刚度退化及能量耗散等力学行为衰退与内部损伤累积的关系。结果表明,单调加载曲线接近于往复轴压曲线的包络线。钢纤维的掺入显著改善混凝土峰后延性,并提高残余应力。由于钢纤维的阻裂增韧作用,掺入纤维后混凝土破坏形态由单个竖向主裂缝的脆性破坏演变为多缝开裂的延性破坏模式。钢纤维还能有效改善混凝土抗震力学行为,掺入纤维后混凝土弹性刚度退化和塑性应变发展均得到有效控制,能量耗散性能增强。

To investigate the damage evolution and failure mechanism of fiber-reinforced concrete under action of earthquake, a series of monotonic and reciprocating axial compression tests were conducted on steel fiber reinforced concrete to analyze the influence of fiber addition on the stress-strain behavior of concrete. The focus was on exploring the relationship between the mechanical behavior degradation and internal damage accumulation of concrete under cyclic axial compression, including plastic strain, stiffness degradation, and energy dissipation. The results indicate that the monotonic loading curve is close to the envelope of the reciprocating axial compression curve. The addition of steel fibers significantly improves the post peak ductility of concrete and increases residual stress. Due to the crack resistance and toughening effect of steel fibers, the failure mode of concrete after adding fibers has evolved from brittle failure of a single vertical main crack to ductile failure mode of multi crack cracking. Steel fibers can effectively improve the seismic mechanical behavior of concrete. After adding fibers, the degradation of elastic stiffness and plastic strain development of concrete are effectively controlled, and the energy dissipation performance is enhanced.

随着西部大开发的深入推进,西南山区的交通、水利工程建设如火如荼[1]。作为高烈度地区,地震作用在工程设计和结构安全评估中均须充分考虑。地震作用具有不可预知性、巨大破坏性及循环往复的施荷特点,使得混凝土材料的非线性特性表现愈发明显[2-3]。往复荷载作用实际上就是对混凝土材料周期性地施加荷载、卸载以及重新加载的过程,材料在响应中存在显著滞回效应,这是因为混凝土通过耗散能量在内部萌生了裂纹和累积了损伤,循环加载过程导致其整体力学性能衰退,表现为刚度退化、塑性变形增加及应力重分布等,这又反过来加剧了混凝土的非线性力学行为[4-5]。为弥补混凝土抗拉、抗断裂及抗变形能力差的短板,可通过掺入纤维来改善其力学性能。由于抗拉强度高、与混凝土兼容性好等优点,钢纤维被广泛应用于实际混凝土工程中,大幅提高材料阻裂增韧、吸能耗能、韧性和延性等力学指标[6]。然而现有研究多针对静态荷载,对于承受地震引发的往复荷载作用对纤维混凝土材料力学响应及退化演进的影响研究尚不多见。为此,本文以钢纤维混凝土为研究对象,通过开展一系列单调和往复轴压试验,重点分析纤维掺入对混凝土应力—应变响应的影响,探究纤维混凝土力学退化、塑性变形、能量耗散与动态损伤累积的内在联系,并揭示往复轴压下纤维发挥阻裂增韧的机制。研究成果可为地震区纤维混凝土材料推广和结构设计提供试验和理论基础。
胶凝材料为P. O 42.5型普通硅酸盐水泥,天然粗骨料为粒径5~20 mm、级配良好的碎石,细骨料为细度模数为2.5的天然河沙,拌合水为城市自来水,减水剂为萘系高效减水剂,减水率25%。混凝土试件配合比见表1,混凝土试件立方抗压强度为40 MPa。循环轴压试验采用150 mm×150 mm×300 mm的棱柱体试件。
试验采用波纹型钢纤维,等效直径0.88 mm,平均抗拉强度不小于1 150 MPa。试验设置了2个试验变量,分别为纤维体积掺量(V)和纤维长径比(R),共6组试验工况(表2),其中V0表示不掺纤维的素混凝土。
将均匀混凝土拌合物缓慢倒入到预先制好的模具中,借助振动台进行充分振动,然后在室内环境中静置24 h,脱模后转入标准养护室养护至28 d。为评价不同试件的基本力学强度,每种混凝土试件还额外制备了6个边长为150 mm标准立方体试件,测定其抗压强度(fcu)和劈裂抗拉强度(fst),具体结果见表2,其中Vsflsfdsf分别表示纤维体积掺量、长度和直径。
往复轴压试验采用最大载荷2 000 kN的通用电液伺服试验机(型号PMT-301)。采用3支差分位移传感器(LVDT)测试混凝土试件的压缩变形,其中1支用于测定竖向位移,而其余2支测定侧向位移。整个加载过程,由电子计算机自动、实时读取和记录试验数据,包括轴向载荷和变形等。
为避免因试件受力面不平整而产生的试验误差,在正式加载前,需对试件进行预加载,预加载水平为试件抗压强度的10%。对于单调轴压试验,采用位移控制模式,速率为0.005 mm/s,加载至试件破坏;对于往复轴压试验,采用荷载和位移混合控制模式,具体来看,在峰值应力前(阶段Ⅰ),采用位移控制模式,施加速率、位移增量分别为0.01 mm/s、0.15 mm。在峰值应力后(阶段Ⅱ),卸载采用荷载控制模式,卸载速率为10 kN/s,位移增量为0.3 mm。当试件位移达到4.2 mm,停止试验。两种加载方案的曲线见图1
图2为单调和循环轴压下不同混凝土试件应力—应变全曲线,并补充绘制包络线(各个卸载曲线起点的连线)。由图2可知,不论哪种混凝土试件,单调加载曲线均与循环轴压的包络线基本重合。对于第一、二个周期中,再加载曲线与卸载曲线基本重合,表明再加载后试件刚度变化很小,刚度未出现退化现象。当到第三个周期时,应力应变曲线达到峰值应力点。对于素混凝土,当渡过峰值后,曲线骤然大幅下降,残余应力降至2 MPa以下;对于纤维混凝土,曲线在峰值应力后,仅缓慢小幅下降,残余应力较大,且纤维掺量越高,峰后曲线越平缓,残余应力也越大。
图3为纤维混凝土往复轴压全过程示意图,并补充了各阶段钢纤维混凝土试件受压试验照片。混凝土试件整个循环轴压过程可划为6个阶段。OA为线弹性阶段,轴压卸载后试件变形可完全恢复,此时卸载曲线与再加载曲线完全重合,由于在低应力水平下未萌生新的裂纹,钢纤维的阻裂增韧作用无法激发,而是与基体作为有机整体共同受力变形;AB段为弹塑性阶段,试件开始在基体—骨料界面过渡区等有瑕疵处萌生一定量的微裂纹[7],此时通过裂纹的钢纤维开始发挥桥连作用,但尚未被充分调动,此时混凝土试件出现屈服状态;BC段进入微裂缝发育发展期,试件外观出现少许肉眼可见的细小竖向裂纹,随着裂纹的张裂,纤维—基体出现相对滑移,纤维拉应力增加,此时充分发挥阻裂增韧效应,由于裂缝宽度较小,纤维未拔出,试件应力达到峰值;CD段为塑性变形阶段,应力过峰后下滑,试件表面的细小裂纹迅速扩展、串联,缝长、缝宽同步增大,部分受拉纤维因粘结失效开始拔出,纤维阻裂作用进一步凸显,并伴随清脆的破裂声;DE段属于裂纹失稳扩展阶段,竖向裂缝演变为斜向贯穿裂缝,缝宽持续变大,裂纹口有小碎块和碎渣剥落,试件逐渐丧失整体性,开始出现破坏迹象;EF段正式进入破坏阶段,试件表面出现贯穿主裂缝,桥连的纤维被拔出,而次生裂缝的荷载传递仍依赖未拔出的纤维,随着往复轴压的进行,纤维被全部拔出、甚至拉断,试件最终失去承载力而破坏。
图4为往复轴压下试件应力应变曲线不同阶段中掺入钢纤维的阻裂作用示意图。由图4可知,在弹塑性阶段,试件在往复轴压下萌生的裂纹主要集中在界面过渡区等薄弱区域,随着加载的进行逐渐发育、扩展,桥接裂缝的纤维起到应力传递作用。随着裂纹萌生数量的不断增加,桥接裂纹的纤维数量随之增多,促使裂纹扩展、串联所需能量攀升。当渡过峰值应力后,微观裂纹演化为宏观裂缝,缝宽不断加大,试件表面出现主裂缝,纤维被大量拔出,试件因整体性受损而破坏。可见,往复轴压下纤维持续发挥阻裂增韧效应,对应力传递和维持试件整体性上作用关键。在往复轴压下,钢纤维有效约束试件裂纹扩展,一旦试件开裂,纤维与基体或骨料出现滑移,桥连裂缝的纤维,通过与水泥基体强有力的黏结和机械咬合作用[8],阻止裂纹进一步扩展。由此可见,掺入适量的纤维可显著增强混凝土延性和韧性,有效控制裂纹扩展速率,纤维可持续发挥应力传递作用,直至纤维与水泥基体发生脱黏,黏结失效,才退出工作。
图5为往复轴压下掺入不同掺量和长径比钢纤维对混凝土塑性应变—卸载应变关系曲线的影响。由图5可知,不论何种混凝土试件,其塑性应变与卸载应变均呈线性增长关系,拟合直线的斜率值分布在0.73~0.89之间。卸载应变一定时,纤维混凝土塑性应变明显小于素混凝土,且随着纤维掺量的增加,这一趋势越显著。这意味着掺入钢纤维可显著增强混凝土抗塑性应变的能力,因而钢纤维混凝土的塑性应变远小于素混凝土。另外还可看出,同一纤维掺量下,纤维长径比对混凝土塑性应变的影响较小。
图6为往复轴压下不同纤维掺量和长径比对混凝土弹性刚度退化率—卸载应变曲线的影响。由图6可知,不论何种试件,弹性刚度退化率随卸载应变均呈对数函数式降低,即先迅速下降而后缓慢降低。这是由于往复轴压导致试件在界面等薄弱区域萌生大量新裂缝,继而不断发育扩展,并最终演化为宏观主裂纹,不可逆损伤也不断累积。同一卸载应变下,纤维混凝土的弹性刚度退化率明显大于纤维混凝土,且随着纤维掺量的增加,这一规律趋势越显著。当混凝土试件抵达极限强度时,素混凝土弹性刚度退化率低于0.02,而纤维混凝土则大于0.05,这是因为循环轴压下钢纤维和混凝土基体共同承担荷载,且纤维起到横向约束作用,试件整体性更好。另外,弹性刚度退化对纤维长径比的变化不敏感。
能量耗散大小可通过循环轴压下某一周期中混凝土应力应变卸载分支与再加载分支所构成的闭合环面积。图7为不同混凝土试件能量耗散与卸载应变的关系曲线图。由图7可知,对于任一混凝土试件,累积耗散能随卸载应变均呈先增大而后减小的变化趋势。分析其上升段,不同试件能量耗散曲线十分接近,可见纤维的掺入对试件耗能性影响很小;而对于下降段,不同试件之间耗能性差异显著,随着纤维掺量的增大,能量耗散特性越强,而长径比越大,耗散差异不显著。原因分析如下,对于素混凝土,循环加载下,界面处应力集中,导致骨料—基体黏结失效,以致脱黏,宏观裂缝出现不稳定性扩展;而对于纤维混凝土,往复轴压下,能量耗散性增强,当微裂缝萌生后,纤维强力约束裂缝的扩展,并通过纤维的滑移与拔出行为耗散大量能量。
a. 往复轴压下,掺入纤维后,混凝土主裂缝宽度明显减小,破坏形态由脆性演变为延性。单调加载曲线与往复轴压曲线的包络线十分接近,钢纤维显著改善峰后延性性能,提高残余应力。
b. 掺入纤维后,混凝土弹性刚度退化和塑性应变均降低,而能量耗散增强,且随着纤维体积掺量的增加,这一趋势更显著,但对纤维长径比不敏感。
