Based on 24 phenotypic traits, statistical analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and systematic cluster analysis were carried out on 187 pepper hybrid combinations introduced from different ecological regions in China to screen out the best hybrid combinations of pepper suitable for planting in Jiangxi. The Shannon-Weaver genetic diversity index of 12 descriptive traits was ranged from 0.36 to 1.95, with an average of 0.82. The genetic diversity index of fruit shape was highest (1.95). The variation coefficient of 12 quantitative traits was ranged from 16.61% to 84.48%, and the variation coefficient of single fruit weight was the largest. The genetic diversity index was ranged from 0.67 to 2.08, with an average of 1.80. Correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficient (rs) between single fruit weight and fruit diameter was the highest, reaching 0.86. In addition, yield was significantly positively correlated with fruit diameter, fruit flesh thickness and single fruit weight. Principal component analysis simplified the 24 traits index into 3 principal components, and the cumulative contribution rate reached 69.164%. The cluster analysis showed that the 187 hybrid combinations could be divided into 5 groups at 8.10 Euclidean-distance, and there were significant differences in single fruit weight, fruit color, fruit shape and plant height among the groups. After comprehensive scoring, 10 excellent hybrid combinations suitable for planting in Jiangxi were selected. The above results would provide scientific basis for the comprehensive evaluation, selection and application of pepper hybrid combination.

为筛选出适宜江西种植的辣椒优良杂交组合,本研究对国内不同生态区引进的187份辣椒杂交组合的24个表型性状开展统计学调查、相关性检测、主成分分析和系统聚类分析。结果表明:供试组合各性状表现出丰富的遗传多样性,12个描述性性状的Shannon-Weaver遗传多样性指数在0.36~1.95之间,平均值为0.82,其中果形的遗传多样性指数最大,为1.95;12个数量性状的变异系数变幅为16.61%~84.48%,单果重的变异系数最大,遗传多样性指数在0.67~2.08之间,平均值为1.80;相关性分析发现,单果重与果宽的相关系数最高,达0.86,此外,产量与果宽、果肉厚和单果重均呈极显著正相关;主成分分析将24个性状指标简化为3个主成分,累计贡献率达69.164%;聚类结果显示,在欧式距离为8.10处,187份杂交组合可分为5个类群,类群间的单果重、果色、果形和株高等方面存在较大差异;综合评分筛选出10个适宜江西种植的优良杂交组合。研究结果为辣椒杂交组合的综合评价与选择应用提供科学依据。

为筛选出适宜江西种植的辣椒优良杂交组合,本研究对国内不同生态区引进的187份辣椒杂交组合的24个表型性状开展统计学调查、相关性检测、主成分分析和系统聚类分析。结果表明:供试组合各性状表现出丰富的遗传多样性,12个描述性性状的Shannon-Weaver遗传多样性指数在0.36~1.95之间,平均值为0.82,其中果形的遗传多样性指数最大,为1.95;12个数量性状的变异系数变幅为16.61%~84.48%,单果重的变异系数最大,遗传多样性指数在0.67~2.08之间,平均值为1.80;相关性分析发现,单果重与果宽的相关系数最高,达0.86,此外,产量与果宽、果肉厚和单果重均呈极显著正相关;主成分分析将24个性状指标简化为3个主成分,累计贡献率达69.164%;聚类结果显示,在欧式距离为8.10处,187份杂交组合可分为5个类群,类群间的单果重、果色、果形和株高等方面存在较大差异;综合评分筛选出10个适宜江西种植的优良杂交组合。研究结果为辣椒杂交组合的综合评价与选择应用提供科学依据。

Based on 24 phenotypic traits, statistical analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and systematic cluster analysis were carried out on 187 pepper hybrid combinations introduced from different ecological regions in China to screen out the best hybrid combinations of pepper suitable for planting in Jiangxi. The Shannon-Weaver genetic diversity index of 12 descriptive traits was ranged from 0.36 to 1.95, with an average of 0.82. The genetic diversity index of fruit shape was highest (1.95). The variation coefficient of 12 quantitative traits was ranged from 16.61% to 84.48%, and the variation coefficient of single fruit weight was the largest. The genetic diversity index was ranged from 0.67 to 2.08, with an average of 1.80. Correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficient (rs) between single fruit weight and fruit diameter was the highest, reaching 0.86. In addition, yield was significantly positively correlated with fruit diameter, fruit flesh thickness and single fruit weight. Principal component analysis simplified the 24 traits index into 3 principal components, and the cumulative contribution rate reached 69.164%. The cluster analysis showed that the 187 hybrid combinations could be divided into 5 groups at 8.10 Euclidean-distance, and there were significant differences in single fruit weight, fruit color, fruit shape and plant height among the groups. After comprehensive scoring, 10 excellent hybrid combinations suitable for planting in Jiangxi were selected. The above results would provide scientific basis for the comprehensive evaluation, selection and application of pepper hybrid combination.

辣椒(Capsicum spp.)为茄科辣椒属蔬菜作物,原产中南美洲,富含辣椒素、维生素C及叶酸等营养成分,具有重要的营养保健作用,是全球消费量最大的辛辣调味品和消费功能最多的蔬菜作物[1]。“十三五”以来,我国辣椒播种面积逐年增加,现已成为我国种植面积最大、产值最高的蔬菜作物[1-2],截至2017年,辣椒种植面积达213.96万hm2,位列全国第一[3]
目前,国内育成的辣椒品种大多属于一代杂种,市场上辣椒杂交组合数量多,但遗传多样性低,品种创新不足造成同质化问题严重[2];为提高辣椒优良杂交组合筛选效率,促进品种改良,亟需利用多元统计分析法对辣椒杂交组合进行科学鉴定与综合评价[4]。李燕等[5]采用主成分分析法、聚类分析法综合评价了石家庄地区引进的不同辣椒杂交品种的产量和品质,为当地辣椒品种的引种筛选提供了依据;陈彩霞等[6]对甘肃省引进的154份辣椒杂交组合的21个农艺性状进行调查,通过遗传力分析、主成分分析和聚类分析评价了遗传多样性,最终筛选出品质优良的早、中、晚熟杂交组合7个;王新珂[7]对25个辣椒杂交组合15个农艺性状开展杂种优势和相关性分析,筛选出4份配合力强、产量高和品质优良的杂交组合;姚子巍等[8]对15个不同辣椒杂交组合的光合生理指标进行测定以探明最佳耐弱光杂交组合,结果表明15号杂交组合的净光合速率、气孔导度和胞间CO2浓度显著高于其他杂交组合,可作为耐弱光杂交组合。
江西是我国鲜食辣椒重要产区,主要以羊角椒、牛角椒、线椒、螺丝椒和薄皮泡椒等类型辣椒为主,年播种面积达8.67万hm2,年产量达到260万t,其中,高安、永丰、宁都、信丰等地辣椒栽培面积大,产业化程度高[9],江西辣椒除满足本省消费需求外,还销往粤港澳大湾区以及湖南、湖北、上海、山东等地区。近年来江西设施蔬菜产业发展迅速,辣椒种植面积逐年增加,但由于主栽品种较为单一,加上设施多年连作种植,辣椒品种的品质和抗病抗逆性均有所下降,难以满足市场多样化需求。为此,本研究从省内外引进187份辣椒杂交组合进行系统分析和综合评价,以期为辣椒杂交组合的筛选与示范应用提供理论依据[10]
供试辣椒杂交组合共187份,均为一年生辣椒(Capsicum annuum),熟性以早熟居多,部分中晚熟。其中江西省农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所选育的辣椒杂交组合76个,国内其他育种单位选育的辣椒杂交组合111个,包括线椒、羊角椒、牛角椒、泡椒、甜椒、螺丝椒和朝天椒等多种类型。具体信息详见表1
试验在江西省农业科学院高安基地进行,试验面积共6666.67 m2试验地地势平坦,土壤肥力均匀。该基地属于亚热带季风气候,雨量充沛,光照充足,无霜期长,平均日温差8~14 ℃。试验采用常规穴盘育苗,于2022年11月4日播种,2023年3月29日定植于连栋大棚,以高畦地膜覆盖方式栽培,采用双行单株的形式,株行距为40 cm×70 cm,随机区组方式排列[11],重复3次,每小区定植40株。试验区四周设保护行,水肥管理与常规相同。
表型性状的采集于2023年6月30日进行,性状统计参考《辣椒种质资源描述规范和数据标准》[12]并略作调整。数量性状每个组合随机选择5株进行调查,盛花期观察记载株高、主茎高、株幅、始花节位、花冠和花柱的颜色等;商品果成熟期每个组合随机选择5株,每株测定3个果实的单果重、果长、果宽、果肉厚度和辣味等性状,取平均值;采收期通过五点取样法选取长势均匀的5个单株测定单株坐果数和单株产量。
为便于数据分析,对24个性状进行量化处理,具体赋值分级标准如表2所示。描述性性状参考《辣椒种质资源描述规范和数据标准》[12]的赋值分级方法,数量性状赋值方法如下:对株高、主茎高、株幅、始花节位、果长、果宽、果肉厚等数量性状根据平均值和标准差进行10级分类,从第一级Xi<(M–2S)到第10级Xi≥(M+2S),每0.5S为1级,M为平均值,S为标准差[13],根据公式计算遗传多样性指数(genetic diversity index,H′)H′=–∑PilnPi,式中,Pi表示某性状第i级样品频率[14]。利用Microsoft Excel 2016对农艺性状的表型数据进行处理分析,计算各性状的分布频率、最小值、最大值、平均值、标准差、变异系数(coefficient of variation,CV)等。利用R4.0.3软件(https://www.r-project.org/)、IBM SPSS Statistics 25软件和Origin 2024软件进行相关性分析、主成分分析和系统聚类分析。
12个描述性性状的变异系数范围为12.87%~58.38%,平均值为28.78%(表3);青熟果色泽的变异系数最小,为12.87%;果面棱沟的变异系数最大,为58.38%;花梗着生状态次之,为49.61%。12个描述性性状的遗传多样性指数(H')变化范围为0.36~1.95,平均值为0.82。其中,果形的多样性指数最高,为1.95,茎表茸毛密度的遗传多样性指数最小,为0.36,供试组合中有90.37%的材料表现为稀茸毛。187份杂交组合田间抗性整体表现优良,田间抗性的遗传多样性指数达0.86,中抗及强抗的组合分布频率最高,达89.30%,仅10.70%的组合抗性差。供试组合的熟性差异较大,变异系数达27.47%,早熟组合的分布频率最高,达68.44%,其中有0.53%表现为极早熟,晚熟组合仅占9.09%,其余均为中熟组合(22.46%)。供试材料的果实性状遗传变异较为丰富,多样性指数(H')大于1.0的除了果形(1.95)外,还有果面特征(1.05)、果面棱沟(1.19)和辣味(1.19)。果形分布主要以长牛角果形的辣椒分布频率最高(21.39%),其次是长羊角形(19.79%)和短羊角形(18.72%),果面又以果面光滑、无棱沟的辣椒分布频率最高,分别为41.71%和52.94%。青熟果皮色以绿色为主要果色,分布频率为90.37%,黄绿色和紫黑色占比较小,均仅为0.53%。老熟果色以鲜红色为主,分布频率为90.91%。供试组合有33.69%的材料表现为微辣,47.06%表现为辣。
187份辣椒杂交组合12个数量性状的遗传多样性统计如表4所示。变异系数的分布范围在16.61%~84.48%之间,平均值为42.25%。其中单果重的变异系数最大,为84.48%,其次是单株结果数,为66.17%,单株产量再次之,为59.72%。株幅、株高和心室数变异系数较小,分别为16.61%、17.83%和21.95%。遗传多样性指数(H')在0.67~2.08之间,平均值为1.80,其中果长的多样性指数最高(2.08),其次为株高(2.07)和株幅(2.06),心室数的多样性指数最小(0.67)。果长、果宽和果形指数都是辣椒果实性状的重要指标,株高和株幅与植株生长势有关。由此可见,供试组合的果实性状、植株性状均差异较大,存在着丰富的遗传变异。
对供试组合的数量性状进行相关性分析(图1),结果表明,性状间相关系数差异较大,相关系数(rs)介于–0.67~0.86之间,多对性状间存在显著或极显著相关;其中,单果重与果宽的相关系数最高,达0.86,其次是果肉厚与单果重的相关系数达0.81,说明果宽和果肉厚是影响单果重的2个关键性状。产量是农业生产中最重要的性状,相关性分析结果显示,产量与单果重、果宽、果肉厚度、果长和心室数呈极显著正相关,其中,产量与单果重的相关系数最高,达0.72;产量与单株结果数、始花节位和株高均呈极显著负相关,相关系数均在–0.34左右。
对12个数量性状进行主成分分析,在SPSS 25软件中对数据进行标准化处理,KMO和Bartlett检验得KMO度量值为0.784(>0.6),Sig值为0.000,说明数据符合主成分分析的条件[7]。主成分分析将12个数量性状简化为特征值大于1的3个主成分,累计贡献率达69.164%(表5)。第1主成分的特征值为4.671,贡献率为38.922%,载荷较高的性状有单果重、果宽和果肉厚,可将第1主成分可归纳为果重因子;第2主成分的特征值为2.285,贡献率为19.040%,载荷较高的性状有心室数和始花节位,第2主成分与果实内在性状和熟性有关,归纳为心室数因子。第3主成分的特征值为1.344,贡献率为11.203%,载荷较高的性状有主茎高和株高,第3主成分与植株高度性状有关,归纳为株高因子。3个主成分基本反映了12个数量性状的基本信息,为进一步综合评价各组合提供了参考依据。
为了更好地对各组合进行综合比较,对标准化后的数据计算3个主成分得分值,进行综合排序。3个主成分得分用F1~F3表示,X1~X12分别代表株高、株幅、主茎高、始花节位、果长、果宽、果形指数、果肉厚、心室数、单果重、单株果数和单株产量,主成分得分计算公式如下:

根据3个主成分因子F1~F3的贡献率权重,计算每份供试组合的综合得分,构建的评价模型如下:F=0.38 922F1+0.19 040F2+0.11 203F3F值越高,表示组合的综合表现力越好。187份供试组合的综合得分排名前10如表6所示,F值范围为3.15~6.07,单果重在34.33~188.47 g之间。排名前3的辣椒杂交组合N41(2023CG41)、N94(黄帝)和N101(海丰108)分别来自江西省农业科学院、湖南长沙和北京海淀,3个组合的单果重、果宽和果肉厚均较高,优质丰产且抗性较强。
基于系统聚类法,在欧氏距离为8.10处将187份辣椒组合分成5个类群(图2),不同类群间的表型性状差异明显。
第Ⅰ类群包含2个组合,即N1(2023CG01)和N94(黄帝),分别引自江西农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所和湖南长沙,二者的株高、始花节位、果面特征和果面棱沟均无明显差异,株型直立紧凑,始花节位均在9节以下,平均为7.50节。果形分别为牛角和灯笼形,果横径均较大,均值为6.57 cm,果肉厚度均大于4.00 cm,辣度较低,二者均为早熟丰产组合。
第Ⅱ类群包含165个组合,包括62份牛角椒、54份羊角椒、36份线椒、9份灯笼椒、3份指形椒和1份樱桃圆椒,分别以N160(辛香皱辣)、N2(2023CG02)、N139(月丰868)、N162(晨纱4号)、N121(川椒483)和N114(圆明珠)为代表。该类群株型直立,株高平均为108.36 cm,始花节位平均为10.59节,青熟果色为浅绿色、绿色或深绿色,果面微皱的组合占Ⅱ类群的44.24%,果面光滑的占35.76%,熟性以中早熟材料居多。果形丰富多样,以羊角椒、牛角椒和线椒为主,各占Ⅱ类群的38.18%、32.73%和21.21%,灯笼椒和指形椒数量较少。
第Ⅲ类群包含N3(2023CG03)和N4(2023CG04)2个组合,均是江西农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所培育的杂交组合。N3(2023CG03)为长灯笼椒,N4(2023CG04)为小灯笼椒,2份材料果实表面均有棱沟,辣度均为辣。2份材料的株高较高,均在135.00 cm以上,与其他类群差异明显,前者为中熟材料,平均始花节位为10.33,后者为中晚熟材料,平均始花节位为15.67。
第Ⅳ类群包含15个组合,包括N57(2023CG57)、N111(海花红6号)、N120(川椒211)和N72(23E 114)等。该类群中有9份羊角椒,6份指形椒,其中有4份指形椒引自四川。15份材料的茎表茸毛均稀少,无果面棱沟,辣度均为辣,老熟果色为红色居多,平均始花节位为17.53,单果重为2.90~10.00 g,多为中晚熟材料。
第Ⅴ类群包含3个组合,N15(2023CG15)、N49(2023CG49)和N50(2023CG50)。青熟果皮色均为紫色,与其他组合差异明显,为紫色彩椒。N15(2023CG15)和N50(2023CG50)果形分别为方灯笼形和长灯笼形,该类群组合株型直立,分枝性中等,始花节位为10~12节,属早熟彩椒,单株产量高,平均单果重为136.64 g,田间抗性中等。
以上聚类分析的结果和主成分分析的结果基本一致,主成分得分相近的组合在聚类分析中基本归为同一类群。
本研究应用多元统计分析方法对187份辣椒杂交组合的24个表型性状进行鉴定分析,发现描述性性状中果形的多样性指数最高,这与裴红霞等[15]、张国儒等[16]研究结果一致,除锥形外,辣椒的其余11种果形均有分布[12],以羊角椒、牛角椒和线椒的占比最高;此外,果面棱沟的变异系数最大,说明供试杂交组合在果面棱沟方面存在较大差异;彭泽等[17]认为果面棱沟的形态可能会影响辣椒的市场价值和消费者对辣椒的喜好度,因此,在辣椒新品种选育过程中,要根据市场消费需求,优化果面棱沟的选择。数量性状中果长的遗传多样性指数最高,而单果重的变异系数最大,这与洪成等[18]、黄冬福等[19]的研究结果基本一致。果形、果面棱沟、果长和单果重等4个果实性状存在较高的遗传变异,一方面说明187份辣椒杂交组合的果实性状存在较大差异,另一方面也说明这4个果实性状的遗传选择潜力大,通过人工定向选择易于培育出果实性状差异大的新品种。
本研究相关分析发现单果重与果宽、果肉厚度、果长和心室数均呈极显著正相关,这与张国儒等[16]、洪成等[18]、白健君等[20]、PRASAD等[21]、SHRESTHA等[22]的研究结果一致,但王丹丹等[23]认为单果重与果长呈极显著负相关,这可能与供试材料的类型不同有关。因此,在辣椒遗传改良过程中,要综合考虑多个性状间的相关关系,尽量减少与目标性状呈负相关的性状可能带来的不利影响,以加速育种进程。
本研究利用主成分分析将12个数量性状简化为3个主成分,累计贡献率达69.164%,归纳的3个主成分分别为果重因子、心室数因子和株高因子,这与前人划分有所差异[6,19]。特别是第2主成分的心室数因子,属于果实内在性状,孔子雯等[4]、张婷等[24]对辣椒种质资源农艺性状开展主成分分析时,主成分中也包含心室数;此外,洪成等[18]对辣椒种质资源综合评价时,第3主成分为胎座大小,也属于果实内在性状,这说明果实内部结构特征也是选择时的重要参考性状,上述结果为辣椒杂交组合评价和筛选提供了新的思路。
为了更准确地反映各杂交组合在特定环境下的综合适应性和生产潜力,本研究采用了主成分权重构建的线性综合评价模型筛选出了得分最高的前10个组合[25],分别为N41、N94、N101、N89、N182、N170、N20、N85、N126和N165。这10个组合中,有9个被聚类分析归入第Ⅱ类群,而N94单独聚在第Ⅰ类群,与聚类分析结果具有较高的一致性。10个得分最高的组合主要以牛角椒和灯笼椒为主,属于果重型品种,这与第一主成分——果重因子的贡献率高达38.922%有直接关联。本研究结果为辣椒优良组合的筛选与推广应用提供了理论参考,筛选出的牛角椒和灯笼椒属于早熟丰产型和大果薄皮椒类型,适合江西本地市场消费需求。
