Cassava variety Nanzhi 199 (sweet cassava variety, with erect, compact plant shape and generally unbranched at the top) and chili pepper variety Xiangyan 55 (medium maturity small cowpea variety, with good growth and strong adaptability) were used to study the effects of cassava-pepper intercropping pattern on cassava growth, photosynthetic performance, soil enzyme activity, tuber yield and quality. Three different planting densities of chili peppers in chili peppers and cassava intercropping (T1, T2 and T3, with the spacing of 0.4 m, 0.5 m and 0.6 m, respectively) were designed. The results showed that the aboveground growth indexes of cassava under intercropping treatment had different degrees of inhibition in various growth periods of cassava, and the inhibitory effect deepened with the increase of density and time, so the aboveground plant height and stem thickness of T3 treatment were minimally inhibited; intercropping treatments were able to improve the relative chlorophyll content of cassava seedling leaves, and the intercropping treatments were able to increase the net photosynthetic rate of the whole period of potato production, stomatal conductance, and the cytosolic rate of the tuber expansion period, and intercellular carbon dioxide concentration during tuber expansion, but had no significant effect on the transpiration rate of cassava in all growth periods; intercropping treatments significantly increased the activities of soil urease, acid phosphatase, catalase and sucrase compared with CK, and the activities of the soil enzymes were significantly higher than those of other intercropping treatments by T3 except for the activity of soil catalase which had no significant difference among the intercropping treatments; intercropping reduced the aboveground biomass and belowground biomass, and the activity of soil enzymes by T3; intercropping reduced the relative chlorophyll content of cassava leaves at seedling stage. Although intercropping reduced the above-ground biomass and the number of cassava tubers in the below-ground part, it could improve the weight of cassava, and there was no significant difference between intercropping T1 and T2 treatments and the yield of CK, while the acreage yield of T3 was significantly increased by 13.98%; intercropping could effectively improve the quality of tubers, and the contents of various qualities other than soluble sugar and cellulose in T3 treatment were significantly higher than that of other treatments, among which, the intercropping treatments were able to increase the starch content of cassava tubers to different degrees, respectively, and increased the starch content of cassava tubers to different degrees. 为研究木薯-辣椒间作模式下对木薯生长、光合性能、土壤酶活性、块根产量及品质的影响,以木薯品种南植199(甜木薯品种,植株直立、株型紧凑、顶端一般不分枝)和辣椒品种湘研55号(中熟小牛角椒品种,长势好、适应性强)为试验材料,设计以木薯单作(CK)为对照,辣椒和木薯间作时辣椒3种不同的种植密度(T1、T2、T3,株距分别为0.4、0.5、0.6 m)为处理。结果表明:间作处理下的木薯地上部生长指标在木薯的各个生长时期均存在不同程度的抑制,且抑制效果随密度和时间增加而加深,故T3处理的木薯地上部株高、茎粗所受抑制程度最小;间作处理均能提高木薯苗期叶片的相对叶绿素含量,各个间作处理能提高植株整个结薯期的净光合速率、气孔导度及块根膨大期的胞间二氧化碳浓度,但对木薯各个生长时期的蒸腾速率并无显著性影响;间作处理较CK处理均显著提高了土壤脲酶、酸性磷酸酶、过氧化氢酶、蔗糖酶等的活性,除土壤过氧化氢酶活性在间作处理中无显著性差异外,其余土壤酶活性均以T3处理显著高于其他间作处理;间作虽降低了地上部生物量和地下部木薯块根数量,但能提高木薯单薯重,间作T1、T2处理与CK产量无显著差异,而T3的亩产显著提高了13.98%;间作能有效提高块根品质,除可溶性糖和纤维素外,T3处理的多种品质含量均显著高于其他处理,间作处理均能不同程度提高木薯块根淀粉含量,分别提高了13.06%、8.25%、19.33%。综上所述,木薯间作提高了木薯光合速率、土壤酶活性等从而提高木薯块根产量、品质,增加木薯经济效益。最后以2行木薯2行辣椒的T3处理(株距0.6 m)栽培密度最优,为适合湖南产区的木薯辣椒间作模式。

为研究木薯-辣椒间作模式下对木薯生长、光合性能、土壤酶活性、块根产量及品质的影响,以木薯品种南植199(甜木薯品种,植株直立、株型紧凑、顶端一般不分枝)和辣椒品种湘研55号(中熟小牛角椒品种,长势好、适应性强)为试验材料,设计以木薯单作(CK)为对照,辣椒和木薯间作时辣椒3种不同的种植密度(T1、T2、T3,株距分别为0.4、0.5、0.6 m)为处理。结果表明:间作处理下的木薯地上部生长指标在木薯的各个生长时期均存在不同程度的抑制,且抑制效果随密度和时间增加而加深,故T3处理的木薯地上部株高、茎粗所受抑制程度最小;间作处理均能提高木薯苗期叶片的相对叶绿素含量,各个间作处理能提高植株整个结薯期的净光合速率、气孔导度及块根膨大期的胞间二氧化碳浓度,但对木薯各个生长时期的蒸腾速率并无显著性影响;间作处理较CK处理均显著提高了土壤脲酶、酸性磷酸酶、过氧化氢酶、蔗糖酶等的活性,除土壤过氧化氢酶活性在间作处理中无显著性差异外,其余土壤酶活性均以T3处理显著高于其他间作处理;间作虽降低了地上部生物量和地下部木薯块根数量,但能提高木薯单薯重,间作T1、T2处理与CK产量无显著差异,而T3的亩产显著提高了13.98%;间作能有效提高块根品质,除可溶性糖和纤维素外,T3处理的多种品质含量均显著高于其他处理,间作处理均能不同程度提高木薯块根淀粉含量,分别提高了13.06%、8.25%、19.33%。综上所述,木薯间作提高了木薯光合速率、土壤酶活性等从而提高木薯块根产量、品质,增加木薯经济效益。最后以2行木薯2行辣椒的T3处理(株距0.6 m)栽培密度最优,为适合湖南产区的木薯辣椒间作模式。

Cassava variety Nanzhi 199 (sweet cassava variety, with erect, compact plant shape and generally unbranched at the top) and chili pepper variety Xiangyan 55 (medium maturity small cowpea variety, with good growth and strong adaptability) were used to study the effects of cassava-pepper intercropping pattern on cassava growth, photosynthetic performance, soil enzyme activity, tuber yield and quality. Three different planting densities of chili peppers in chili peppers and cassava intercropping (T1, T2 and T3, with the spacing of 0.4 m, 0.5 m and 0.6 m, respectively) were designed. The results showed that the aboveground growth indexes of cassava under intercropping treatment had different degrees of inhibition in various growth periods of cassava, and the inhibitory effect deepened with the increase of density and time, so the aboveground plant height and stem thickness of T3 treatment were minimally inhibited; intercropping treatments were able to improve the relative chlorophyll content of cassava seedling leaves, and the intercropping treatments were able to increase the net photosynthetic rate of the whole period of potato production, stomatal conductance, and the cytosolic rate of the tuber expansion period, and intercellular carbon dioxide concentration during tuber expansion, but had no significant effect on the transpiration rate of cassava in all growth periods; intercropping treatments significantly increased the activities of soil urease, acid phosphatase, catalase and sucrase compared with CK, and the activities of the soil enzymes were significantly higher than those of other intercropping treatments by T3 except for the activity of soil catalase which had no significant difference among the intercropping treatments; intercropping reduced the aboveground biomass and belowground biomass, and the activity of soil enzymes by T3; intercropping reduced the relative chlorophyll content of cassava leaves at seedling stage. Although intercropping reduced the above-ground biomass and the number of cassava tubers in the below-ground part, it could improve the weight of cassava, and there was no significant difference between intercropping T1 and T2 treatments and the yield of CK, while the acreage yield of T3 was significantly increased by 13.98%; intercropping could effectively improve the quality of tubers, and the contents of various qualities other than soluble sugar and cellulose in T3 treatment were significantly higher than that of other treatments, among which, the intercropping treatments were able to increase the starch content of cassava tubers to different degrees, respectively, and increased the starch content of cassava tubers to different degrees. Among them, intercropping treatments were able to increase the starch content of cassava tubers to different degrees, which was increased by 13.06%, 8.25% and 19.33% respectively. In summary, cassava intercropping can improve the yield and quality of cassava tubers by increasing the photosynthetic rate and soil enzyme activity of cassava, and then increase the economic benefits of cassava. Finally, the T3 treatment with 2 rows of cassava and 2 rows of chili peppers (plant spacing 0.6 m) had the optimal cultivation density, which was a suitable cassava-chili pepper intercropping pattern for Hunan production area.

木薯(Manihot esculenta Crantz),是大戟科木薯属植物,在全球100个国家和地区均有广泛种植[1]。木薯是全球第六大粮食作物、三大薯类作物之一,也是重要的能源作物、饲料和特色优质杂粮作物,是世界公认的综合利用价值极高的经济作物[2-3]。木薯作为一种重要的粮食和工业原料作物,因其块根中富含淀粉而备受关注。其中,块根的淀粉含量可高达30%~38%[4],且价格相对低廉,使其成为了一种极具吸引力的工业原料。在工业领域,木薯淀粉被广泛用于生产酒精、柠檬酸、氨基酸等化工产品[5],同时也可用于制造胶水、造纸、纺织等行业[6]。此外,木薯还可作为生产生物燃料的原料[7],为可持续能源的发展做出贡献。
辣椒(Capsicum annuum L.)是茄科辣椒属的植物,为一年生或有限多年生草本植物。辣椒原产于拉丁美洲地区,是最古老的农作物之一[8],1493年由哥伦布带回欧洲[9],之后传播到世界各地。辣椒富含维生素C,其含量在蔬菜中最高,辣椒具有多种营养成分,如含有胡萝卜素、蛋白质、钙、过氧化物酶、酚类等营养成分,具有延缓衰老、增加机体抵抗能力、抗癌等多种药理作用[10]。同时,辣椒还具有缓解风湿疼痛、促进消化等多种功效[11]。随着人们对于辣椒营养价值认识的提高,对于辣椒的需求量也越来越大,扩大其种植面积,寻找新的合理有效的种植模式是获得辣椒高产优质的重要途径。
间作套种是我国传统农业的精髓所在,是农民长期探索逐步掌握的农艺措施[12]。EKEOKORO等[13]发现,在木薯大豆间作体系中,多分枝木薯和中晚熟大豆品种都会对木薯株高产生抑制,说明间作作物的共生时期和光截取能力均会对作物株高产生影响。曹曼君等[14]对大豆玉米间作模式的研究结果表明,盛花期间作大豆的净光合速率(Pn)、气孔导度(Gs)和蒸腾速率(Tr)均显著低于单作大豆,且呈现出相同的变化趋势,而胞间CO2浓度(Ci)则表现出相反的变化趋势。LEGODI等[15]在2019年对木薯与豆类的间作进行深入研究,发现间作对豆类产量的影响与其品种有关,间作降低了鹰嘴豆和花生的籽粒产量,但对豇豆产量则无影响。此外,木薯-豆类间作对产量的影响也往往和密度有关[16]。BEDOUSSAC等[17]发现间作比单一作物的谷物蛋白质含量高了1.30%,可能是由于物种的互补性,提高了非生物资源的利用率,如对土壤矿质氮和大气中N2的利用等。邱江梅等[18]发现甘蔗-花生间作模式中,间作种植对花生的过氧化氢酶的影响较大,土壤过氧化氢酶活性较花生单作提高了55.53%,可能由于甘蔗和花生间作根系间交错叠加作用,增加了根区土壤的孔隙度,使得根系呼吸增强。
生态位分离是间作优势产生的主要生态机制,改变间作体系中株行距配置从本质上来说是改变了间作体系中作物的空间配置[19],从而影响作物产量的形成。间作形成的作物复合群体,还可使作物增加对光能的截取与吸收[20],减少光能的浪费。木薯的生育期较长,前期生长缓慢,种植稀疏,无法充分利用土地资源和土壤肥力,随着经济发展,生产成本的提高,木薯的高产量优势也逐步被其低经济效益所掩盖[21],使得木薯种植面积减少[22]。而间作可以最大程度上利用资源[23],且木薯间作对于木薯在光合、产量、品质等方面有着非常重要的影响,合理的间作模式是提高木薯产量与品质的重要途径。但目前对木薯-辣椒间作模式下木薯生理生长变化及土壤酶活性相关研究较少。本研究以木薯单作为对照,以木薯-辣椒间作时辣椒的不同栽培密度为处理,并对单作与间作模式下木薯株高、茎粗、光合特性、产量及品质、土壤酶活性进行测定分析,探究木薯-辣椒间作模式下木薯生理生长、产量、品质及土壤酶活性的变化,为湖南产区木薯-辣椒间作栽培技术提供参考。
木薯品种为南植199(甜木薯品种,植株直立、株型紧凑、顶端一般不分枝),由广西武鸣农技推广站提供。辣椒品种为湘研55号(中熟小牛角椒品种,长势好、适应性强),由湖南湘研种业公司提供。田间试验在湖南省长沙县湘研种业试验基地进行,试验田耕种前0~20 cm耕层土壤理化性质为:pH 5.36,水解性氮、有效磷、速效钾含量分别为97、20.9、109 mg/kg。全氮、全磷、全钾、有机质含量分别为1.24、0.51、11.9、20.6 g/kg。
试验共置4个处理,分别为单作木薯(CK),木薯和辣椒间作时设置辣椒3种不同种植密度(T1、T2、T3,株距分别为0.4、0.5、0.6 m,行距为0.4 m)。采用1.6 m大垄双行种植,垄宽1.0 m,沟宽0.6 m,木薯种植方式采用宽窄行种植,木薯宽行为1.0 m,窄行为0.6 m,木薯株距均为1.0 m。木薯与辣椒间作时辣椒在垄上种植,间作辣椒处理为每小区2行木薯2行辣椒,辣椒距离木薯行距为0.3 m。试验按随机区组排列,每处理3次重复,共计12个小区,小区面积为1.6 m×13 m=21 m2。辣椒于2022年1月21日育苗,4月9日移栽,5月28日至7月11日分批收获,整个生长周期共171 d。木薯于2022年4月9日种植,木薯与辣椒的共生生长期为93 d。
(1)木薯生长指标的测定。每小区各选5株健康、无病虫害且具有小区代表性的木薯植株,对其进行株高、茎粗的测量。株高:使用卷尺测量木薯茎基部到顶端生长点的距离;茎粗:使用游标卡尺测量木薯离地5 cm茎基部的直径。
(2)木薯光合指标的测定。在木薯种植60 d左右,每个生育时期从小区随机选取5株健康、无病虫害且具有小区代表性的木薯植株。使用LI-6400XT光合仪测定木薯同一生态位且同一朝向功能叶的净光合速率(Pn)、胞间CO2浓度(Ci)、气孔导度(Gs)、蒸腾速率(Tr)。采用手持式叶绿素测定仪测定木薯功能叶的相对叶绿素含量(SPAD)。
(3)土壤酶活性的测定。取土时间:于木薯收获期(11月17日)采集土样。木薯单作取样:在选定的木薯植株中,两行木薯株距中间进行五点取样法,每个取样点在垂直方向上取0~20 cm土层样品。木薯-辣椒间作取样:采用五点取样法在选定的木薯-辣椒间作区域取样,每个取样点在垂直方向上取0~20 cm土层样品。所取土壤样品经自然风干后研磨过筛,供土壤酶活性分析测定使用。测定方法:采用靛酚蓝比色法测定土壤脲酶(S-UE)活性;采用3,5-二硝基水杨酸比色法测定土壤蔗糖酶(S-SC)活性;采用高锰酸钾滴定法测定土壤过氧化氢酶(S-CAT)活性;采用磷酸苯二钠比色法测定土壤酸性磷酸酶(S-ACP)活性[24]
(4)木薯产量、产量性状的测定。全株、单株薯重:每个处理随机选取30株木薯植株,使用电子秤对木薯整株的重量、木薯单株地下部薯重进行称量;单株结薯数:每个处理随机选30株木薯对其地下部结薯数进行记录;木薯亩产量测定:根据每小区木薯实际经济产量,按照种植密度折算每667 m2产量,并计算其经济效益。
采用Excel 2016软件和Origin 8.0软件对数据进行分析和制图,使用SPSS 26软件对数据进行方差分析。
图1可知,木薯株高的生长主要集中在苗期到块根膨大期,而在块根膨大期之后主要以根部生长为主,地上部株高长势缓慢,基本无变化。在木薯苗期,除T1处理外的间作处理与木薯单作的株高并无显著性差异。在块根形成期,T1、T2处理下的木薯株高显著低于T3与CK处理,且T3与CK处理无显著性差异。在块根膨大期和成熟期,各间作处理的木薯株高较单作均显著降低,其中,在块根成熟期木薯-辣椒间作处理分别较CK处理降低了7.63%、8.40%、3.04%。
图2可知,木薯茎粗的快速生长主要集中在木薯苗期到块根膨大期,在块根膨大期之后,木薯茎粗生长极为缓慢。在木薯的4个生育时期,间作处理茎粗较CK处理均显著降低,且T1、T2处理均无显著性差异,而T3处理在苗期、块根形成期、块根膨大期均显著高于其他间作处理。块根成熟期下木薯-辣椒间作处理分别较CK处理降低了18.11%、19.25%、12.90%。
图3A可知,木薯各个时期叶片的相对叶绿素含量整体变化不大,在木薯苗期,间作处理均显著高于CK,分别提高了14.65%、14.80%、13.59%;在块根形成期,各处理并无显著性差异。在块根膨大期,T3处理的相对叶绿素含量显著高于CK,但T1、T2与CK处理之间同样无显著性差异;在块根成熟期,T3与CK处理间无显著性差异且均显著高于T2
图3B可知,各处理木薯的叶片净光合速率随着生育期推进呈现先增加后降低的趋势。在木薯苗期,各间作处理净光合速率较CK处理均在显著降低;在块根形成期和块根膨大期,间作处理净光合速率较CK处理均显著提高,其中块根形成期木薯间作较CK的净光合速率分别提高了22.54%、18.42%、19.32%;在块根成熟期,T2、T3处理的净光合速率显著高于CK处理,而T1与CK处理的净光合速率差异不显著。综合来看,合理的间作模式能够促进整个结薯期的净光合速率。
图3C可知,木薯叶片气孔导度随其生育期推进整体呈现先升高后降低的趋势。在木薯苗期,各间作处理均显著低于CK;在块根形成期,T3处理较CK处理的气孔导度显著增加了14.29%,其余间作处理与CK之间并无显著性差异;在块根膨大期,各间作处理气孔导度均显著高于CK,分别增加了32.65%、74.86%、52.01%;在块根成熟期,T1处理与CK处理的气孔导度并无显著性差异,T2、T3处理均显著低于T1处理。
图3D可知,木薯叶片的胞间二氧化碳浓度在块根形成期前提高较多,而进入块根形成期后,胞间二氧化碳浓度变化较小。在木薯苗期和块根形成期,间作各处理的叶片胞间二氧化碳浓度较CK处理均出现不同程度降低;在块根膨大期,各间作处理的叶片胞间二氧化碳浓度较CK处理均显著提高,分别增加了8.47%、10.22%、9.48%。在块根成熟期,各处理的叶片胞间二氧化碳浓度并无显著性差异。
图3E可知,随着木薯生长时期的推进,叶片蒸腾速率呈现先升高后降低的趋势。在木薯苗期,各间作处理的蒸腾速率均出现不同程度降低,其中T2、T3处理显著低于CK处理;在块根形成期,各间作处理的蒸腾速率较CK处理并无显著性差异;在块根膨大期,T2处理显著低于CK处理;在块根成熟期,T1处理显著高于其他间作处理。
表1可知,各间作处理土壤酶活性较CK处理均出现不同程度的提高。T3处理土壤脲酶、酸性磷酸酶活性显著高于其余处理,较CK处理提高最多,分别提高了94.09%、15.61%。T2、T3处理的土壤蔗糖酶活性并无显著性差异但均显著高于CK处理。各间作处理土壤过氧化氢酶活性均显著高于CK,但各间作处理之间并无显著性差异。
表2可知,间作处理均显著降低了木薯全株重和单株结薯数,T3处理的单株薯重、小区产量、亩产量和经济效益均显著高于CK处理,其中,T3处理鲜薯产量提高了13.96%。而T1、T2与CK处理间并无显著性差异。说明T3处理主要通过增加了薯重影响产量性状进而增加产量和经济效益。
表3可知,T2、T3处理显著提高了木薯块根中维生素C含量。各间作处理均较CK处理显著提高了还原糖含量。T1、T3处理的可溶性糖含量较CK处理显著降低。T2较CK处理显著提高了木薯可溶性蛋白含量。各间作处理均从不同程度上提高了木薯淀粉含量,分别提高了13.06%、8.25%、19.33%。间作处理能够显著降低木薯纤维素含量,其中以T3处理纤维素含量降低幅度最大,为39.14%。木薯T1、T3处理的干物率较CK显著增加,分别提高了7.54%、5.86%。
木薯-辣椒间作模式下木薯的部分指标相关性分析结果如图4所示,其中14个指标呈极显著相关(P<0.01),14个指标呈显著相关(P<0.05)。净光合速率(Pn)与块根淀粉含量呈显著正相关,与纤维素含量呈显著负相关。土壤脲酶(S-UE)、蔗糖酶(S-SC)、酸性磷酸酶(S-ACP)活性均与块根淀粉含量呈极显著正相关,与纤维素含量呈极显著负相关。淀粉含量与干物率呈显著正相关,土壤过氧化氢酶(S-CAT)活性与全株重呈极显著负相关,土壤脲酶活性与薯重呈显著正相关。
植株高度、主茎粗度等指标是衡量植物生长状态的重要农艺性状,不同的间作模式下,由于植株的化感作用和接受调节机制的不同,以及间作存在一定的种间竞争,使得间作模式对不同作物的影响不同[25]。本研究结果表明,木薯-辣椒间作模式中,T1处理对苗期的株高产生显著抑制,T2、T3处理对块根形成期的株高产生显著抑制,T1、T2、T3处理对块根膨大期的株高产生显著抑制。由此可见,木薯-辣椒间作模式对木薯株高的抑制作用随生育期的推进愈发明显,其中,T3处理受抑制时间显著较短,同时各间作处理的主茎粗度也受到抑制,其中T3处理的主茎粗度受抑制程度最小。地上部生长指标并未出现明显的“竞争-恢复”的现象[26],可能与辣椒的多次采收消耗土壤养分及该间作模式下复杂的化感作用有关。由此可见,木薯-辣椒间作模式中存在种间竞争,且对地上部生物量的竞争效果随时间和种植密度增加而增加。
光合作用是植物最基本的生命活动,是植物合成有机物质和获取能量的根本来源[27]。本研究结果表明,在木薯苗期,间作处理均不同程度提高了叶片相对叶绿素含量,此时互作效益使微环境得到改善,促进了叶绿素的合成及其稳定性,这与崔文芳等[28]的研究结果一致。在木薯苗期,由于此时间作辣椒植株高度较高,具有较高的光能截取率,给木薯苗遮阴,降低了其叶片光合同化效率;或因木薯在苗期阶段对营养竞争能力较弱,使得植株叶片整体生理性能下降。在块根形成期和块根膨大期,木薯净光合速率和气孔导度均有显著性提高,这主要源于木薯间作模式微环境湿度适宜,使得气孔导度提高,进而提高了净光合速率。而块根形成期的胞间二氧化碳浓度降低主要与该时期净光合速率提高有关,说明该时期净光合速率一定程度上受到气孔因素限制[29];块根膨大期的胞间二氧化碳浓度提高,说明此时净光合速率受到叶片光合同化能力的因素限制,且蒸腾速率降低可能与在块根膨大期阶段呼吸根转为贮藏根使得根系活力减弱有关。因此,间作模式能在整个结薯阶段一定程度上提高叶片光合能力,其中T2、T3处理为优。
土壤酶活性在作物根系生境中影响土壤有效成分含量、土壤呼吸强度等,进而提高作物产量。本研究结果表明,各间作处理均从一定程度上提高了土壤酶活性,其中以T3处理效果最优,这可能因为间作模式中2种作物互作,使得土壤中根系分泌物更丰富,土壤微生物更活跃,改善土壤环境,从而提高了土壤酶活性[30]。而栽植过密的间作处理,植株密度较大,使得土壤养分下降,进而影响土壤酶活性。其中土壤过氧化氢酶活性能够反映土壤呼吸的强弱,说明间作处理能够显著改善土壤孔隙度,利于植株吸收养分。土壤过氧化氢酶活性与土壤有机质含量有关,本研究各间作处理的土壤过氧化氢酶活性为T3>T2>T1,说明密度大的间作处理对有机质消耗较大。
作物产量决定着作物经济效益,其受外部环境、栽培技术等多种因素影响,合理密植、充分利用环境资源是增产增效的关键所在。因此,间作是能够在不降低主要作物产量的前提下,最大限度提高土地利用效率和盈利能力的种植模式[31]。本研究结果表明,间作处理均降低了木薯的全株重,但T3处理显著提高了地下部薯重,这可能与间作通过限制地上部生物量和改善作物土壤生境有关。随着种植密度的增加,木薯结薯数随之降低,而T1、T2处理又与单作单株薯重无显著性差异,说明间作主要通过增加单薯重来改变产量性状,因此,T3间作处理得到了增产。说明木薯-辣椒间作模式通过合理密植能够增加木薯产量并额外收获辣椒农产品进而增加地块经济效益。
作物品质对其经济价值和使用途径等方面有着直接影响,而栽培手段和环境因素是改变品质的重要因素。本研究结果表明,木薯-辣椒间作模式能够提高木薯块茎中除可溶性糖以外的多种营养成分,并降低块茎纤维素含量。块根中多种成分的提高,可能与块根形成期与膨大期的光合指标增强有关。而纤维素作为一种不可溶性膳食纤维,虽对人体有益,但过高的纤维素会影响木薯块根口感,这可能与间作处理提供了较好的土壤环境如增强土壤呼吸、提高保水性等有关。同时,淀粉与纤维素呈负相关的结果与SUN等[32]的研究一致。
综上所述,与木薯单作相比,辣椒-木薯间作模式虽然降低了木薯的地上部株高和茎粗,但能提高木薯叶片的光合特性及增强土壤酶活性,进而提高作物产量和品质,提高经济效益。最后以2行木薯间作2行辣椒、辣椒株距为0.6 m的栽培模式(T3)为最优,为适合湖南产区的木薯-辣椒间作模式。
