The present study assessed the control efficiency of a predator, Cryptolaemus montrouzieri (Mulsant), on four mealybugs damaging tropical crops, including Paracoccus marginatus (Williams & Granara de Willink), Planococcus minor (Maskell), Planococcus citri (Risso), and Dysmicoccus neobrevipes (Beardsley). The daily predation of the 1st-4th instar larvae and adult C. montrouzieri on the 1st-3rd instar nymphs and adults of the four mealybug species, was observed indoors. The adult and high-age larvae of C. montrouzieri exhibited a high predation rate on the early instar nymphs of the four mealybug species. Notably, the predation rates were significantly higher on P. minor and P. marginatus compared to P. citri and D. neobrevipes. The first instar nymphs of C. montrouzieri did not prey on the adult and third instar nymphs of the four mealybug species, while the second instar nymphs lacked the ability to prey on mealybug adults. The predation ability of C. montrouzieri was ranked as follows: adults>fourth instar larvae>third instar larvae>second instar larvae>first instar larvae. Correspondingly, for the same instar of the ladybird, the predation rate on mealybugs of different instars followed the order: first instar nymphs>second instar nymphs>third instar nymphs>adults. In conclusion, C. montrouzieri demonstrates strong control capabilities on the four mealybugs damaging tropical crops.

为了明确孟氏隐唇瓢虫[Cryptolaemus montrouzieri(Mulsant)]对木瓜秀粉蚧[Paracoccus marginatus(Williams&Granara de Willink)]、大洋臀纹粉蚧[Planococcus minor(Maskell)]、柑橘臀纹粉蚧[Planococcus citri(Risso)]及新菠萝灰粉蚧[Dysmicoccus neobrevipes(Beardsley)]等4种重要热带作物粉蚧的控害能力,在室内观察了孟氏隐唇瓢虫1~4龄幼虫及成虫分别对4种粉蚧的1~3龄若虫及成虫的日捕食量。结果表明:孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫及高龄幼虫对4种粉蚧的低龄若虫均有较高的捕食量,其中,对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧的捕食量显著高于新菠萝灰粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧;孟氏隐唇瓢虫1龄虫不捕食上述4种粉蚧的成虫和3龄若虫,2龄虫不能捕食4种粉蚧成虫;孟氏隐唇瓢虫捕食的能力为:成虫>4龄幼虫>3龄幼虫>2龄幼虫>1龄幼虫;同一龄期瓢虫对不同龄期粉蚧的捕食量为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫。综上,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对4种重要热带作物粉蚧有较强的控害能力。

为了明确孟氏隐唇瓢虫[Cryptolaemus montrouzieri(Mulsant)]对木瓜秀粉蚧[Paracoccus marginatus(Williams&Granara de Willink)]、大洋臀纹粉蚧[Planococcus minor(Maskell)]、柑橘臀纹粉蚧[Planococcus citri(Risso)]及新菠萝灰粉蚧[Dysmicoccus neobrevipes(Beardsley)]等4种重要热带作物粉蚧的控害能力,在室内观察了孟氏隐唇瓢虫1~4龄幼虫及成虫分别对4种粉蚧的1~3龄若虫及成虫的日捕食量。结果表明:孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫及高龄幼虫对4种粉蚧的低龄若虫均有较高的捕食量,其中,对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧的捕食量显著高于新菠萝灰粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧;孟氏隐唇瓢虫1龄虫不捕食上述4种粉蚧的成虫和3龄若虫,2龄虫不能捕食4种粉蚧成虫;孟氏隐唇瓢虫捕食的能力为:成虫>4龄幼虫>3龄幼虫>2龄幼虫>1龄幼虫;同一龄期瓢虫对不同龄期粉蚧的捕食量为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫。综上,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对4种重要热带作物粉蚧有较强的控害能力。

The present study assessed the control efficiency of a predator, Cryptolaemus montrouzieri (Mulsant), on four mealybugs damaging tropical crops, including Paracoccus marginatus (Williams & Granara de Willink), Planococcus minor (Maskell), Planococcus citri (Risso), and Dysmicoccus neobrevipes (Beardsley). The daily predation of the 1st-4th instar larvae and adult C. montrouzieri on the 1st-3rd instar nymphs and adults of the four mealybug species, was observed indoors. The adult and high-age larvae of C. montrouzieri exhibited a high predation rate on the early instar nymphs of the four mealybug species. Notably, the predation rates were significantly higher on P. minor and P. marginatus compared to P. citri and D. neobrevipes. The first instar nymphs of C. montrouzieri did not prey on the adult and third instar nymphs of the four mealybug species, while the second instar nymphs lacked the ability to prey on mealybug adults. The predation ability of C. montrouzieri was ranked as follows: adults>fourth instar larvae>third instar larvae>second instar larvae>first instar larvae. Correspondingly, for the same instar of the ladybird, the predation rate on mealybugs of different instars followed the order: first instar nymphs>second instar nymphs>third instar nymphs>adults. In conclusion, C. montrouzieri demonstrates strong control capabilities on the four mealybugs damaging tropical crops.

粉蚧是农作物的一类重要害虫。该类害虫不仅能以成虫、若虫吸食危害植物造成作物减产,还会分泌蜜露诱发煤烟病,影响果品外观品质[1]。木瓜秀粉蚧[Paracoccus marginatus(Williams&-Granara de Willink)]、柑橘臀纹粉蚧[Planococcus citri(Risso)]及新菠萝灰粉蚧[Planococcus minor(Maskell)]等3种粉蚧是目前国际上重要的热带作物害虫,已造成木薯[2-3]、剑麻[4-6]、柑桔、芒果、香蕉、番荔枝、木瓜等作物不同程度的减产[7];大洋臀纹粉蚧(Pseudococcus minor)是我国的检疫性害虫[8],已在国内多地发现,潜在危害大,一旦传播扩散,将会对我国的热带经济作物造成严重影响[9-10]。近年来,对粉蚧的防控主要是以化学药剂为主,但是由于粉蚧体被较厚的蜡泌物,应用化学药剂难以达到理想效果。同时,随着对粉蚧防效较好的杀扑磷、速扑杀、氧化乐果、乐果、毒死蜱等有机磷农药的限用或禁用,导致防治粉蚧时供选药剂种类少、防治效果差。因此,寻求化学防治以外的措施已成为必然的选择。
利用天敌昆虫进行粉蚧治理是一个值得研究的方向。据报道,粉蚧防治的天敌种类较多,包括寄生蜂、草蛉、瓢虫等重要天敌类群[11-14]。孟氏隐唇瓢虫(Cryptolaemus montrouzieri)是防治粉蚧的一种重要天敌,原产于澳大利亚,至今已经被引进到中国、美国、印度尼西亚、意大利、泰国、印度、肯尼亚、菲律宾等热带和亚热带地区,进行湿地松粉蚧(Oracella acuta))、双条拂粉蚧[Ferrisia virgata(Cockerell)]、扶桑绵粉蚧(Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley)等蚧虫的防治,并取得明显的防治成效[15-16]。尽管如此,但针对孟氏隐唇瓢虫对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧等4种热带作物粉蚧的捕食能力研究鲜少报道,该瓢虫的各龄幼虫及成虫对上述4种粉蚧的若虫及成虫的捕食能力尚未明确。本研究在室内观察孟氏隐唇瓢虫的1~4龄幼虫及成虫分别对4种粉蚧的1~3龄若虫及成虫的日捕食量,以期明确孟氏隐唇瓢虫对上述粉蚧的捕食能力,为后期应用孟氏隐唇瓢虫防治4种粉蚧提供数据支撑。
(1)柑橘臀纹粉蚧:在中国热带农业科学院环境与植物保护研究所儋州试验基地内用老南瓜品种(蜜本)[Cucurbita moschata(Duch. ex Lam.)Duch.]进行室内隔离饲养,连续繁殖数代备用。(2)新菠萝灰粉蚧:采集于海南省儋州市洋浦地区,在中国热带农业科学院儋州试验基地内用蜜本老南瓜进行室内隔离饲养,连续繁殖数代备用。(3)大洋臀纹粉蚧及木瓜秀粉蚧:分别采集于中国热带农业科学院环境与植物保护研究所儋州试验基地橡胶苗和木薯苗上,用蜜本老南瓜进行室内隔离饲养,连续繁殖数代备用。(4)孟氏隐唇瓢虫:从中山大学引进,在中国热带农业科学院环境与植物保护研究所儋州试验基地室内用柑橘臀纹粉蚧连续饲养数代备用。
挑取大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧的不同龄期若虫和成虫放至单个培养皿中(表1),用保鲜膜密封,每皿放置1头1日龄的1~4龄瓢虫幼虫或3日龄瓢虫雌成虫,均饥饿处理24 h,24 h后记录粉蚧存活数与被捕食量(如果虫体完整,则用细毛笔轻轻触动虫体不动且色泽灰暗判定为死亡,如果体色鲜活,虫体有细微活动则判定为活虫),各处理设置5个重复。
采用Office 2019软件进行数据处理和图表绘制,使用DPS 7.5软件对数据进行统计学分析,采用Duncan’s法进行差异显著性分析。
孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫对同一粉蚧的捕食量由高到低为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫(表2);其成虫对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧的成虫与3龄若虫的捕食量无显著差异,但均显著低于对同种粉蚧1龄若虫和2龄若虫(P<0.05)。孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫在捕食同一虫态的不同粉蚧时日均捕食量存在显著差异(P<0.05),粉蚧为1龄若虫时,捕食量以大洋臀纹粉蚧最高(804.2头),其次为木瓜秀粉蚧(732.0头),均显著高于柑橘臀纹粉蚧(617.8头)和新菠萝灰粉蚧(542.2头)(P<0.05);粉蚧为2龄若虫时,捕食量以木瓜秀粉蚧的最高(108.2头),显著高于其他3种粉蚧(P<0.05);粉蚧为3龄若虫时,孟氏隐唇瓢虫雌成虫对4种粉蚧的捕食量为27.2~31.8头,对木瓜秀粉蚧的捕食量显著低于其他3种粉蚧;粉蚧为成虫时,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对木瓜秀粉蚧及柑橘臀纹粉蚧的捕食量分别为4.8头和4.4头,均显著高于对大洋臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧的捕食量(P<0.05)。
孟氏隐唇瓢虫4龄幼虫对4种粉蚧的日平均捕食量如表3所示。孟氏隐唇瓢虫4龄幼虫对同种粉蚧的捕食量由高到低为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫,其4龄幼虫除对木瓜秀粉蚧的3龄若虫与成虫的捕食量无显著差异外,对其余3种粉蚧的各龄若虫之间的捕食量差异显著(P<0.05)。孟氏隐唇瓢虫4龄幼虫在捕食不同粉蚧的同一虫态时日均捕食量也存显著差异(P<0.05),粉蚧为1龄若虫时,捕食量以大洋臀纹粉蚧最高(759.6头);粉蚧为2龄若虫时,其对柑橘臀纹粉蚧、大洋臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧的捕食量无显著差异,但均高于木瓜秀粉蚧;粉蚧为3龄若虫时,其对大洋臀纹粉蚧捕食量的最高,除对木瓜秀粉蚧(21.0头)和柑橘臀纹粉蚧(19.8头)的捕食量无显著差异外,各处理间存在显著差异(P<0.05);粉蚧为成虫时,其对木瓜秀粉蚧(4.0头)的捕食量显著高于对其他3种粉蚧(P<0.05)。
孟氏隐唇瓢虫3龄幼虫在捕食同种粉蚧的不同虫态时,捕食量由高到低为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫;孟氏隐唇瓢虫3龄幼虫对4种粉蚧1龄若虫捕食量均显著高于对同种粉蚧其他龄虫态的捕食量(P<0.05),但均对同种粉蚧3龄若虫与成虫的捕食量均无明显差异。孟氏隐唇瓢虫在捕食不同粉蚧同一虫态时捕食量存在明显差异(P<0.05),粉蚧为1龄若虫时,大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧显著高于柑橘臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧(P<0.05);粉蚧为2龄若虫时,大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧均显著高于新菠萝灰粉蚧(P<0.05);粉蚧为3龄若虫时,捕食量以柑橘臀纹粉蚧的最高(20.6头),显著高于新菠萝灰粉蚧及大洋臀纹粉蚧(P<0.05);粉蚧为成虫时,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对4种粉蚧的捕食量无显著差异(表4)。
孟氏隐唇瓢虫的2龄幼虫对同一粉蚧的捕食量由高到低为:1龄若虫>2龄若虫>3龄若虫>成虫(不捕食4种粉蚧的成虫);孟氏隐唇瓢虫2龄幼虫在捕食不同粉蚧的同一虫态时,日均捕食量差异显著(P<0.05),粉蚧为1龄若虫时,瓢虫对洋臀纹粉蚧的捕食量为134.8头,显著高于柑橘臀纹粉蚧(104.4头);粉蚧为2龄若虫时,捕食量以大洋臀纹粉蚧最高(26.8头),其次为柑橘臀纹粉蚧(23.6头),二者均显著高于木瓜秀粉蚧(16.6头)和新菠萝灰粉蚧(12.4头);粉蚧为3龄若虫时,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧的捕食量之间无显著差异,但均显著高于新菠萝灰粉蚧(P<0.05)(表5)。
表6可知,孟氏隐唇瓢虫1龄幼虫不捕食4种粉蚧的3龄若虫和成虫,在捕食同一粉蚧的不同虫态时,对4种粉蚧1龄若虫的捕食量均显著高于同种粉蚧的其他龄期(P<0.05)。孟氏隐唇瓢虫1龄幼虫对木瓜秀粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧、大洋臀纹粉蚧等4种粉蚧的1龄若虫捕食量分别为112.4、105.2、103.4、100.8头,四者之间无显著差异(P<0.05);粉蚧为2龄若虫时,捕食量以大洋臀纹粉蚧最高(5.4头),显著高于柑橘臀纹粉蚧(4.0头)、木瓜秀粉蚧和新菠萝灰粉蚧(3.6头)(P<0.05)。
国内外对捕食性天敌生防潜能的评价多是采用功能反应、捕食量、捕食时间等指标进行[17-18]。前期试验发现孟氏隐唇瓢虫对粉蚧低龄若虫的捕食量较大,粉蚧试虫准备的耗费时间较长,期间低龄粉蚧的死亡率较高,瓢虫虫态或具体龄期的捕食量也有差异,导致结果准确度低。因此本研究仅采用日捕食量作为指标来进行捕食能力的初筛,并严格规定了瓢虫试虫的具体日龄。
一些捕食性或寄生性天敌经转寄主(或猎物)后,对其发育、存活、繁殖、寄生量(捕食量)均有明显影响。例如,张昌容等[19]用西花蓟马[Frankliniella occidentalis(Pergande)]、蚕豆蚜[Aphis craccivora(koch)]分别饲喂南方小花蝽(Orius similis Zheng)后,对西花蓟马和蚕豆蚜表现出正喜好性;李磊等[20]的研究表明,以瓜实蝇[Zeugodacus cucurbitae(Coquillett)]和南瓜实蝇(Bactrocera tau)的蛹为寄主饲养蝇蛹俑小蜂(Spalangia endius),该蜂的成蜂更容易适应南瓜实蝇和瓜实蝇蛹。在本试验中,用柑橘臀纹粉蚧饲养的瓢虫对柑橘臀纹粉蚧的捕食量没有明显高于供试的其他新粉蚧。有研究表明,猎物和寄主植物的利它素对捕食性昆虫有刺激作用,刘波[21]发现七星瓢虫(Coccinella septempunctata)的成虫对利它素响应作用比幼虫强;SALJOQI等[22]和HEIDARI等[23]研究表明孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫依靠嗅觉感应猎物分泌的利它素和视觉观察来搜索猎物,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对原来猎物的捕食量少于部分新猎物的捕食量,这是否由于4种粉蚧释放利它素的种类及含量差异导致对其追踪效率不同还需要进一步探讨。
孟氏隐唇瓢虫的捕食能力因粉蚧种类及龄期的不同而存在差异,通常对低龄的猎物捕食能力强于高龄猎物[24-25]。孟氏隐唇瓢虫各龄虫对4种粉蚧的捕食量均表现为随着粉蚧龄期增加,瓢虫捕食量逐步减少,结果与孟氏隐唇瓢虫对柑橘臀纹粉蚧[26]、长尾粉蚧[27]、木瓜秀粉蚧[28]的捕食率结果相似,生产上应用该虫防治粉蚧时,应选择在粉蚧低龄若虫较多时释放孟氏隐唇瓢虫。本研究中,孟氏隐唇瓢虫对4种粉蚧捕食能力总体表现为:瓢虫成虫>4龄幼虫>3龄幼虫>2龄幼虫>1龄幼虫,这与孟氏隐唇瓢虫成虫对扶桑绵粉蚧(Phenacoccus solenopsis)的捕食量高于瓢虫高龄幼虫的结果相似[29];孟氏隐唇瓢虫1龄虫不捕食供试粉蚧的3龄若虫及成虫,2龄幼虫不捕食4种粉蚧的成虫,这可能是由于瓢虫低龄幼虫个体太小,而高龄的粉蚧体壁及蜡层较厚导致其无法取食,因此在室内繁育瓢虫时,低龄瓢虫幼虫应饲喂粉蚧的低龄若虫以提高存活率,在田间应用中,大量粉蚧处于3龄若虫及以下时释放瓢虫会取得更好的防治效果。另外,孟氏隐唇瓢虫雌成虫对蔗茎红粉蚧[Saccharicoccus sacchari(Cockerell)]及扶桑绵粉蚧的日捕食量显著高于雄虫[29-30],本研究中供试的瓢虫成虫均为雌成虫,因此,是否会出现相似趋势还需进一步试验。
综上,孟氏隐唇瓢虫高龄幼虫及成虫对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧、新菠萝灰粉蚧、柑橘臀纹粉蚧均有较高的捕食量,尤其对大洋臀纹粉蚧、木瓜秀粉蚧2种入侵害虫控害潜能高于其余2种粉蚧。因此,生产上可应用该瓢虫对上述4种粉蚧进行生物治理。
