In this paper,the characteristics of driver out of position and active and passive fusion damage caused by AES are studied by using finite element method for several typical collision conditions caused by automatic emergency steering (AES) intervention. The results show that AES can cause significant lateral displacement of the driver,and the out of position degree increases slightly with the increase of initial speed. High HIC15 and BrIC values are easily generated in oblique angle and side-to-side collision conditions due to high speed and hard contact. The risk of craniocerebral injury in side impact is greater,and the strain of liver and lung is greater than that of other internal organs. Overall,AES intervention results in more significant head,neck,and chest injuries in oblique and lateral near-end collision.

本文针对智能汽车自动紧急转向(AES)作用引发的多种典型碰撞工况,采用有限元方法深入研究了驾驶员因AES介入导致的离位及主被动融合损伤特征。研究表明,AES会使驾驶员产生明显橫向离位,且离位程度随初速度增加略微增大;斜角和侧面近端碰撞工况因速度较高和硬接触等原因,易产生较高的HIC₁₁和BrIC值;侧面碰撞中颅脑损伤风险较大,肝脏和肺部应变大于其他内脏。总体而言,AES介入在斜角和侧面近端碰撞中会导致更显著的头部、颈部和胸部损伤。

In this paper, the characteristics of driver out of position and active and passive fusion damage caused by AES are studied by using finite element method for several typical collision conditions caused by automatic emergency steering (AES) intervention. The results show that AES can cause significant lateral displacement of the driver, and the out of position degree increases slightly with the increase of initial speed. High HIC15 and BrIC values are easily generated in oblique angle and side-to-side collision conditions due to high speed and hard contact. The risk of craniocerebral injury in side impact is greater, and the strain of liver and lung is greater than that of other internal organs. Overall, AES intervention results in more significant head, neck, and chest injuries in oblique and lateral near-end collision.

随着高级驾驶辅助系统(advanced driving assistant system,ADAS)的发展,自动紧急转向(automatic emergency steering,AES)系统越来越受到人们的青睐[1-2]。然而,AES仍可能因为各种因素无法避免事故的发生[3],同时,AES对车辆的横向干预会使车内乘员发生不同程度的离位,即破坏了乘员与约束系统之间的相对位置关系[4]。此时,若AES未能成功避免事故发生,那么上述乘员坐姿变化极有可能增加乘员损伤风险。因此,AES在碰撞前后的耦合作用对乘员损伤的影响已成为智能汽车安全研究中一个迫切需要解决的问题[5-7]
据统计,在我国由换道而导致的交通事故约占每年交通事故总数的4%~7%[8]。紧急转向策略较为复杂,AES触发后并不能完全避免事故的发生,同时会引发新的问题。Matsuda等[9]采用人体有限元模型仿真分析发现,前排乘员在AES作用时会产生明显的横向位移。Donlon等[10]进行了志愿者和尸体实验,发现乘员离位可能会增加正面碰撞中乘员头部损伤风险。现阶段针对AES引起碰撞事故的一体化研究较缺乏,胡远志等[11]基于AES导致车-车斜角碰撞工况进行了乘员损伤分析,并观察了离位对乘员损伤的影响规律和损伤增加的原因,但其所用多刚体模型的仿真精度与有限元模型相比较低。Zhang等[12]研究了AES启动后车辆发生侧面碰撞的驾驶员伤害,为AES的改进提供了有价值的见解。陈羿先[4]、胥林立[5]、孟祥志[13]等分析了乘员在转向阶段产生的横向离位和碰撞阶段乘员的损伤程度,研究了车辆自动紧急转向导致的汽车安全系统性问题,但其研究都仅针对单一工况。
为观察AES系统介入引起的碰撞事故中驾驶员损伤特征,本文采用有限元数值模型,构建了一系列由AES所致典型碰撞事故场景(斜侧、斜角、追尾、侧面碰撞等),对驾驶员在转向至碰撞全过程开展主被动融合仿真,并深入探究了AES所致驾驶员离位及其对碰撞中驾驶员损伤的影响。本研究可为AES相关主被动一体化安全研究和主动预紧式安全带的优化提供重要参考。
本研究分为主动安全与被动安全两部分,分别对应AES启动并使车辆转向的阶段和转向过程中车辆与新的障碍物发生碰撞的阶段。
首先,在ADAS仿真软件Pre-Scan中搭建多种场景,模拟车辆的紧急转向过程,并获得转向开始直至发生碰撞的输入条件;然后,将边界条件输入至搭载人体有限元模型的车辆乘员舱有限元模型中,分析转向阶段驾驶员的离位情况,获得转向车辆横摆角最大时刻的边界条件,并将其输入至整车有限元模型中,运用Hyperworks构建自动紧急转向启动后的碰撞场景,经LS-DYNA求解计算获得碰撞阶段车辆的边界条件;最后,将碰撞阶段的边界条件输入至乘员舱模型,以此分析离位造成损伤风险差异的原因及驾驶员损伤响应特征。
据文献所述,一元五次多项式[14]较符合驾驶员的实际驾驶习惯,适合作为转向换道中的原型轨迹[15],因此,本文在Pre-Scan软件中采用一元五次多项式搭建了AES换道避撞轨迹,并开展Matlab/Simulink联合仿真,转向过程如图1所示。
采用丰田汽车公司和丰田中央研发实验室联合开发的4.1版本50百分位成年男性THUMS(total human model for safety)人体有限元模型,研究驾驶员的运动学和损伤情况[16],如图2所示。Watanabe等[17]通过将THUMS人体模型模拟一系列经典尸体实验,并与实验结果进行比较,对模型的生物逼真度进行了广泛而深入的验证。
本文所用车辆模型是美国高速公路交通安全管理局NHTSA (national highway traffic safety administration)发布且经过验证的2014款本田雅阁(图3(a))和2015款丰田凯美瑞有限元模型(图3(b))。为节约计算时间,本文参考谭明钢[18]的研究,对雅阁整车模型进行一定的简化,获取了最终的乘员舱模型。简化模型主要包括地板、座椅、车门和转向盘等部件,如图3(c)所示。
张越等[19]采用40、60、80 km/h 3种初速度开展AES系统避撞实车实验,得到并验证了AES系统的典型测试场景。本文假设车辆在转向过程中发生了碰撞,参考欧盟车辆综合安全评估项目[20]和NHTSA公布的碰撞场景[21],分别考虑这3种初速度下AES介入所导致的5种碰撞工况。假设转向车辆为主车(雅阁),与其发生碰撞的车辆为目标车(凯美瑞)。参考文献[21]中的数据,将目标车行驶速度设为55 km/h。由于追尾碰撞工况模拟的是主车撞击目标车,所以主车的速度须大于目标车辆,斜侧碰撞工况与之相反,因此,本文对这两种工况的目标车速进行了必要调整。表1展示了本文所开展的碰撞工况仿真矩阵(后文对各工况的描述均为工况1至工况5)。本文中所有的有限元仿真分析,均采用LS-DYNA Version R12.1.0 MPP Single Precision进行。
本研究采用两种不同类型的头部损伤评价准则来评估驾驶员头部损伤风险:基于头部运动学响应的准则 (head injury criterion,HIC15及brain injury criteria,BrIC)和基于脑组织变形的准则 (maximum principal strain,MPS及culminative strain damage measure,CSDM0.25)。
HIC是车辆安全测试评价规程中使用最为广泛的头部损伤评价指标,其计算基于头部质心合成线性加速度和加速度持续时间(常取15 ms)[22-24]。与HIC不同,BrIC[25]准则考虑了头部质心旋转速度,也是较为常用的基于头部运动学响应的头部损伤评价准则。
头部受到动态冲击时,会产生不同类型的颅脑损伤,其中较为典型的是弥漫性轴索损伤(diffuse axonal injury,DAI)[26],DAI与脑组织变形有直接关系,所以仅使用基于头部运动学的损伤准则,无法准确评估这类损伤。因此,本文还引入了基于脑组织应变的准则,包括MPS和CSDM[27]。MPS是表示脑挫伤和轴索损伤等严重程度的指标,CSDM则采用所受主应变超过某个阈值(常取0.25)的脑组织体积比例来表征颅脑损伤的严重程度。
针对颈部损伤,参考Yoganandan等[28]的研究,测量颈部前纵向韧带(anterior longitudinal ligament,ALL)、后纵向韧带(posterior longitudinal ligament,PLL)、关节囊韧带(capsular ligament,CL)、黄韧带(ligamentum flavum,LF)和棘突间韧带(interspinous ligaments,ISL)的最大主应变,并根据其相应的损伤阈值(各韧带的应变阈值分别为0.35、0.34、1.48、0.88、0.68)[28]评估颈部韧带损伤。
胸部黏性指数(viscous criteria,VC)是一种基于胸部变形速度和胸部压缩量瞬时值相结合的损伤准则,常被用来评估胸腔器官损伤风险。本文参考Kitagawa等[29]的研究,采用VC结合各器官应变来分析胸部损伤,心脏、肝脏、脾脏、肾脏的应变阈值为0.3,肺的应变阈值为0.35。
车辆在自动紧急转向过程中的运动学响应如图4所示。转向过程中,车辆的最大横向加速度超过0.6g,处于限制级水平[15],这时车辆的动态响应已经十分激烈,可能对车内驾驶员的坐姿带来极大影响。
图4中的车辆运动学响应导入至雅阁乘员舱有限元模型,可计算得到驾驶员在转向过程中的运动学响应。如图5所示,以40 km/h初速度的工况为例,转向过程中驾驶员发生了明显的横向离位(初速度60和80 km/h工况的驾驶员运动学响应见附录A中图A1和图A2)。具体而言,车辆开始向左转向时,驾驶员随之发生右倾离位,至0.7 s时,驾驶员横向离位达到峰值;之后驾驶员向初始位置方向运动,到1.1 s回到初始位置并继续运动;1.4 s时,车辆整体进入目标车道,避障完成,此时驾驶员处于反向离位状态。在40 km/h的初速度下,当转向过程到0.76 s时,车辆横摆角达到峰值17.07°,车辆横向位移为1.25 m,此时车辆对相邻车道侵入较多,发生事故的可能性极大,因此本文选取0.76 s作为转向阶段结束、碰撞阶段开始的时刻。而在60与80 km/h的初速度下,车辆横摆角峰值分别为12.92°和10.52°,本文亦选取这些时刻(0.73和0.68 s)作为碰撞阶段开始的时刻。
如2.1.2节中所述,以40 km/h初速度为例,根据本文设置的5种碰撞工况所得的碰撞阶段初始边界条件如图6所示。表2展示了该速度下各碰撞工况中主车的变形情况。由图可见:在斜角碰撞(工况1)中,主车前纵梁变形充分以吸收碰撞能量,但未对驾驶舱造成威胁;在追尾碰撞(工况2)和斜侧碰撞(工况3)下变形较小,仅有前部和侧面车门结构发生轻微变形;侧面近端碰撞(工况4)和远端碰撞(工况5)中,车门因为受到目标车撞击而向内凹陷,但侵入量并不显著。60和80 km/h初速度时相应结果请见附录A中图A3、图A4和表A1、表A2。
图7所示为40 km/h初速度下各工况的主车碰撞运动学响应。由图可见:在工况2和工况3中,两车的碰撞较为轻微,主车无论是加速度还是横向位移和横摆角都较小;相对而言,其他工况则对主车造成了更为显著的运动学响应。60和80 km/h初速度的相应结果请见附录中图A5和图A6。
不同初速度和碰撞工况下驾驶员运动学响应如附录A中表A3~表A5所示。从中可见,AES引起的驾驶员离位使得驾驶员与约束系统的相对位置关系发生了改变。在工况2中,驾驶员因AES介入产生的横向离位状态,在碰撞过程中并未发生显著变化,导致其与安全气囊没有发生明显接触;在工况1和3中,驾驶员与气囊和侧气帘充分接触,之后驾驶员身体回弹;在工况4中,驾驶员以较高速度撞击侧气帘,直接导致头部与车窗玻璃发生硬接触;在工况5中,驾驶员离位使得安全带肩带脱落,以至于撞击过程中仅有腰带约束驾驶员,导致驾驶员上半身向离位方向倾斜。
图8所示为本文分析的所有工况中驾驶员头部HIC15和BrIC结果,以及基于文献[30]和文献[31]中两种损伤准则与头部严重损伤风险相关性曲线计算所得的头部严重伤害(AIS 3+)概率。总体而言,驾驶员头部HIC15值均随着碰撞速度的增加而增加。在相同的碰撞初速度下,工况1中驾驶员HIC15最大,其次是工况4;相应地,工况1中驾驶员头部严重损伤概率也都最高,3种初速度情况下分别为18.66%、61.28%和96.56%,远超其他工况,其中唯一的特例是,在80 km/h的初速度下,工况4中AIS 3+损伤与工况1比较接近,达到了91.53%。针对BrIC分析的结果表明,随着速度的增大,工况1、3和5中的驾驶员头部BrIC值先增大后减小,在速度为60 km/h时处于最大值,而工况4中BrIC值随着碰撞速度的提高而增大;基于BrIC预测的头部严重损伤风险均较高,超过半数的工况中该概率超过90%。
图9为本文分析的所有工况中,驾驶员头部MPS和CSDM0.25计算结果。图中阴影部分分别表示驾驶员头部的MPS和CSDM0.25值超过弥漫性轴索损伤DAI风险和AIS 3+颅脑损伤风险为50%对应的阈值,阈值分别为0.87和0.4[32-33]。总体而言,驾驶员头部MPS值随着初速度的增大而增大,该现象也可以从图10所示MPS出现时刻的脑组织中央截面应变云图中观察到;同时,初速度60和80 km/h时,大部分工况中MPS值均明显超过0.87,这意味着驾驶员产生弥漫性轴索损伤的概率超过了50%。对于CSDM0.25,初速度为40 km/h时,工况4中CSDM0.25为0.314 7,是其他工况的2倍以上;当初速度为60和80 km/h时,工况1、3和5中CSDM0.25显著增加,分别达到了0.381 9、0.284 8和0.630 2,远远超过40 km/h初速度时;工况2中CSDM0.25在3种初速度下均极低,这与MPS的分析结果类似;另外,根据CSDM计算结果,在所有案例中,有6例的驾驶员发生严重颅脑损伤概率超过50%。
图11为所有工况中驾驶员颈部主要韧带的所受应变峰值,及与文献中所述各韧带损伤应变阈值的对比情况[34](阴影区域表示损伤阈值)。可见,5种碰撞工况中ALL损伤风险最大,仅60 km/h初速度下工况2的应变未超过文献中所述损伤阈值[34];CL应变较大,特别是在60和80 km/h速度下,除工况2以外,驾驶员的关节囊韧带最大应变均超过其损伤阈值;ALL和LF分别只有初速度为80 km/h下的工况1和工况5的应变超过了损伤阈值;3种速度下驾驶员PLL应变均极小。
本文提取了3种速度下驾驶员在5种碰撞工况中的胸部压缩量,并基于此计算出胸部黏性指数VC值,然后参考武和全等[35]的研究来对比胸部损伤评估参考阈值。如图12所示,工况1、2和5的VC值均随着碰撞速度的提高而增大。除80 km/h初速度的工况5外,其他工况VC都低于1 m/s,根据文献[35]中的参考值,绝大部分驾驶员产生MAIS(maximum abbreviated injury scale)≥4级损伤的概率均较低。
驾驶员各主要内脏器官应变如图13所示。在本文分析的5种碰撞工况中,驾驶员内脏应变整体上随碰撞速度的增大而增大。对于心脏、脾脏和肾脏而言,只有当碰撞速度达到80 km/h时,工况1和4中应变超过了损伤阈值[34];肝脏和肺所产生应变相对较大,约1/3工况中应变超过了损伤阈值。工况2中驾驶员内脏应变均极低,而工况1和4中驾驶员内脏应变在各种碰撞速度下均相对较高。
本文发现AES介入会使驾驶员产生显著的横向离位,虽然从驾驶员在转向过程中的运动学响应来看,3种初速度对离位的影响几乎相同,但是头部质心横向位移最大值略微有些差异,分别为242、264和284 mm(图14)。这说明在五次多项式的变道轨迹下,车辆初始速度的提高会略微增大驾驶员的离位程度。
图15所示,在本文所分析的5种碰撞工况中,AES的作用在工况1和4中会使驾驶员产生较大的AIS 3+损伤风险。观察驾驶员头部运动学响应可发现,在初速度为80 km/h的工况1中,因斜角碰撞中两车的相对速度较高,驾驶员在碰撞过程中与安全气囊的接触剧烈,直接导致头部颈部损伤风险增加(表A5);而在初速度为80 km/h的工况4中,驾驶员头部击穿侧气帘与车窗玻璃发生硬接触,从而产生较高的HIC15值(图16)。由BrIC计算得到的驾驶员头部AIS 3+损伤风险在各个工况中均较高,这说明AES的作用会造成碰撞过程中显著的头部旋转运动[25],其中尤以工况4最为明显。通过对比发现,超过50%的案例基于BrIC分析产生AIS 3+损伤概率达到了4/5,而基于HIC15的分析正好相反:4/5的案例中驾驶员产生AIS 3+损伤概率低于50%。这说明在AES作用引起的碰撞过程中,驾驶员头部产生的旋转速度对损伤的影响程度远大于线性加速度。
以上基于头部运动学的损伤分析结果与类似研究的发现整体上一致[9-11],然而这些研究并没有深入分析驾驶员颅脑组织变形相关损伤。本文基于脑组织应变相关的损伤准则MPS和CSDM0.25评估了驾驶员脑损伤风险(图15(c)图15(d)),发现碰撞初速度的提升整体上会增大各个工况中驾驶员脑组织MPS,其中工况4和5中MPS最高,均超过了0.87。虽然CSDM0.25的变化趋势与MPS整体上一致,但是基于CSDM0.25分析得到的驾驶员在各个工况中产生AIS 3+损伤风险的概率均低于基于MPS分析产生的弥漫性轴索损伤的概率。
与头部损伤不同,驾驶员颈部韧带应变与初始碰撞速度间没有明显相关性。PLL在各案例中所受应变均远低于其损伤阈值;ALL的应变虽不如PLL的应变低,但大多数案例中应变远低于损伤阈值;CL和ISL在本文分析的碰撞工况中应变较大,说明这两种韧带更容易发生损伤。总体上,工况1、 4和 5中颈部韧带应变相对较高,这表明AES介入引起这3种碰撞工况中的驾驶员颈部韧带损伤防护须特别关注。
胸部VC准则分析的结果表明,工况1和5中驾驶员胸部VC值在各个初速度下均较大,说明在这两种碰撞工况下,约束系统对驾驶员胸腔的挤压作用较为强烈。各内脏的应变分析表明,肝脏和肺部的损伤风险大于其他内脏器官,且工况1和4中驾驶员内脏损伤最为剧烈。通过分析驾驶员的运动学响应,本文认为这是由肝脏和肺受到约束系统及车门内饰挤压造成,如图17图18所示:工况1中驾驶员的肺和肝脏处于安全带覆盖区域,此时胸腹部压缩明显;工况4中驾驶员左侧因受到车门的猛烈挤压,导致肺和肝脏产生较大的应变。另外,上述两种工况中,在初速度为60和80 km/h下的内脏损伤更为明显,这可以从图19中驾驶员躯干与安全带和车门的接触力[36]中得到证实。显然,在60和80 km/h的初速度下,工况1中驾驶员与安全带接触力峰值超过15 kN,且远大于40 km/h的工况;而80 km/h初速度下的工况4中,驾驶员与车门内饰接触力峰值接近40 kN,60 km/h时亦达到25 kN左右,均明显高于40 km/h的工况。
(1)AES作用会对驾驶员造成明显的横向离位,这使驾驶员与约束系统的相对位置关系发生改变,且3种车辆初速度下驾驶员的运动学响应趋势整体上类似,但横向离位程度随着初速度的提升略微增大。
(2)斜角碰撞和侧面近端碰撞中,由于碰撞速度较高和驾驶员头部与车窗硬接触,头部HIC15值较高。AES引起的显著头部旋转速度使驾驶员头部BrIC值在各工况中都较高。AES介入产生的头部旋转运动对驾驶员损伤的影响远大于线性运动,以至于采用BrIC所预测的AIS 3+颅脑损伤风险远高于基于HIC15所预测的风险。基于脑组织应变的损伤准则MPS和CSDM0.25分析表明,AES介入所导致的侧面碰撞事故中,驾驶员颅脑损伤风险更大。
(3)驾驶员颈部各韧带损伤在3种初速度下整体相同。颈部后纵向韧带损伤风险均极低;相反,关节囊韧带和棘突间韧带在碰撞中更容易受伤。
(4)在斜角碰撞和侧面近端碰撞中,约束系统对驾驶员胸腔的挤压作用较为强烈,导致其胸部VC相对于其他工况更高。肝脏和肺由于更容易受到约束系统和车辆内饰的挤压,在碰撞过程中产生的应变大于其他内脏。
(5)总体而言,AES导致驾驶员离位情况下,斜角碰撞和侧面近端碰撞工况中的驾驶员头部、颈部和胸部损伤风险大于其他工况;由于相对碰撞速度较低,追尾碰撞工况中驾驶员身体各部位损伤风险均最小。
