With the increasingly strict emission standards for automobiles,non-exhaust particulate matter emission,especially brake wear particulate matter emission,is becoming more prominent. In order to investigate the emission characteristics of brake wear particles under different test cycles,in this study a set of drum brakes is selected to conduct research on PM2.5 and PN10 emission under different test cycles (WLTP-Brake、WLTP、C-WTVC and CHTC-LT cycle) on a brake emission testing system modified based on a brake inertia table. The research results show that there are significant differences in the average initial/final braking temperature of the brake drum under different test cycles,and the highest final braking temperature generally occurs in the braking event corresponding to the maximum initial braking speed in the cycle. The PM2.5 emission factor of the test brake drum under WLTP-Brake cycle is 1.67 mg/km/wheel (the Euro 7 vehicle emission limit of 7 mg/km/vehicle),so the particulate matter emission control of the brake drum,like the brake disc,needs our attention. In addition,the initial braking speed of each cycle has a significantly greater impact on brake particle emission than braking characteristic parameters such as average braking deceleration. This study has practical reference value for the development and testing of low emission brakes for brake enterprises.

随着汽车排放标准的日益严格,汽车非尾气颗粒物排放特别是制动磨损颗粒物排放日益凸显。为了探究不同测试循环下的制动磨损颗粒物排放特征,本研究选取了一套鼓式制动器在基于制动惯量台改造的制动排放测试系统上开展了 WLTP-Brake、WLTP、C-WTVC和CHTC-LT这4个不同测试循环下的PM2.5、PN排放研究工作。研究结果显示,制动鼓在不同测试循环下的平均制动初始/终了温度存在较大差异,最高制动终了温度基本上均出现在循环中最大制动初速度对应的制动事件中;试验制动鼓在 WLTP-Brake循环下的PM2.5排放因子为1.67 mg/km/wheel(欧七整车排放限值7 mg/km/vehicle),因此制动鼓的颗粒物排放控制与制动盘一样需要引起重视;此外,各循环的制动初速度对制动颗粒物排放的影响明显大于平均制动减速度等制动特征参数。该研究对制动器企业进行低排放制动器的研发测试工作具有实际参考价值。

With the increasingly strict emission standards for automobiles, non-exhaust particulate matter emission, especially brake wear particulate matter emission, is becoming more prominent. In order to investigate the emission characteristics of brake wear particles under different test cycles, in this study a set of drum brakes is selected to conduct research on PM2.5 and PN10 emission under different test cycles(WLTP-Brake、WLTP、C-WTVC and CHTC-LT cycle) on a brake emission testing system modified based on a brake inertia table. The research results show that there are significant differences in the average initial/final braking temperature of the brake drum under different test cycles, and the highest final braking temperature generally occurs in the braking event corresponding to the maximum initial braking speed in the cycle. The PM2.5 emission factor of the test brake drum under WLTP-Brake cycle is 1.67 mg/km/wheel (the Euro 7 vehicle emission limit of 7 mg/km/vehicle), so the particulate matter emission control of the brake drum, like the brake disc, needs our attention. In addition, the initial braking speed of each cycle has a significantly greater impact on brake particle emission than braking characteristic parameters such as average braking deceleration. This study has practical reference value for the development and testing of low emission brakes for brake enterprises.

汽车非尾气颗粒物主要来源于制动磨损、轮胎磨损、路面磨损和道路再悬浮尘(非直接来源)等[1-4]。随着汽车排放法规的不断加严,汽车尾气颗粒物排放在得到削减的同时也使得其非尾气颗粒物的排放问题日益凸显[5]。欧盟委员会的研究表明,汽车尾气源和非尾气源对交通相关PM10排放总量的贡献几乎相等,且随着尾气排放控制的日益严格,非尾气源对交通相关排放的相对贡献将越来越大[6]。有研究表明,摩擦制动过程排放的颗粒物贡献了16%~55%的城市非尾气PM10排放以及39%~63%的城市非尾气PM2.5排放[7]。因此,制动磨损颗粒物排放已成为国内外下一个阶段排放标准的监管方向。
当前国内外制动排放测试方法主要有销盘摩擦器法[8-10]、制动测功机法[11]、底盘测功机法[7]、密闭室法[12]和实际道路法[13]等,在不同测试系统上测试得到的制动磨损颗粒物排放因子及其粒径分布特征存在一定差异。由于制动测功机法较符合实际道路运行条件,且试验边界条件可控、重复性及再现性好等,当前已发布的日本JASO C470:2020《乘用车制动磨损颗粒物排放测量方法》[14]、欧七提案中的制动磨损颗粒物排放测试法规均采用此方法[15]
联合国全球统一汽车技术法规(UN GTR)的PMP工作组自2017年起就已经启动基于制动测功机的轻型车制动磨损颗粒物排放测试方法研究工作,目前已完成相应测试工况[15]、测试系统和测试方法等的开发工作。2024年5月公布的欧七法规中已明确提出对M1、N1类车辆的制动磨损颗粒物排放的测试方法和限值等要求,并计划于2026年11月实施;此外,PMP工作组也计划于2025年6月完成重型车制动排放测试方法标准第一版草案,当前其正在开展基于制动测功机的排放测试方法研究工作。然而,我国的汽车制动磨损颗粒物测试方法研究尚处于预研阶段,目前并没有成熟的测试系统和测试方法。
制动磨损颗粒物排放主要受制动摩擦材料、制动初速度、制动减速度、制动温度及制动载荷等的影响[5716-20]。其中,与制动排放测试工况相关的影响因素主要是制动初速度、制动减速度等。由于不同测试循环的制动初速度、减速度等制动特征参数不同,因此同一制动器在不同测试循环下的制动磨损颗粒物排放也存在差异。为了探究不同测试循环的制动排放特征,本研究选取了一套鼓式制动器在基于制动惯量台改造的制动排放测试系统上开展了试验研究工作,对比研究了试验制动鼓在CHTC-LT、C-WTVC、WLTP-Brake和WLTP循环下的制动排放。
本研究参考欧七提案中的轻型车制动排放测试系统,基于重型制动惯量台(主要技术参数如表 1所示),通过增加冷却空气调节系统(主要技术参数见表 2)、制动器外壳、冷却空气通道、颗粒物排放测试系统(AVL M.O.V.E. PM-PEMS iX 494用于PM2.5测试、 AVL489用于PN10测试)等,构建了制动排放测试系统,如图1所示。经测试,排放测试系统冷却空气管道内的平均测量流量与设定值的偏差小于3%,符合欧七提案规定的该偏差需要在±5%以内的要求,说明测试系统的气密性满足试验要求。
试验制动鼓的摩擦片材料为NAO,搭载该制动鼓的车辆是满载质量为3.66 t的N2类车,试验制动鼓及搭载该制动鼓车辆的主要技术参数如表 3所示。
采用K型热电偶测量试验制动鼓的制动温度,K型热电偶的安装以及制动鼓在制动惯量台上的安装等均按照UN GTR标准要求进行。制动鼓须经过充分磨合以稳定其颗粒物排放行为后再进行正式的排放试验,以保证排放测试结果的重复性[11]。在该研究中,磨合阶段及不同测试循环的正式排放测试阶段的冷却空气温度和湿度均分别控制在(23±2)℃、(50±10)%的范围,冷却空气流量则保持在(650±30)m3/h的范围内。本研究采用CHTC-LT循环对制动鼓进行磨合,每个循环开始前须保证制动盘温度在(23±5)℃,运行70个CHTC-LT循环后,连续5个循环的PN10排放因子的偏差小于5%[11],项目组认为制动鼓排放稳定。
在正式排放测试开始之前,项目组检查了排放测试系统的背景颗粒物浓度:在制动鼓不运转的情况下,在(650±30)m3/h的冷却空气流量下持续监测冷却空气管道内的PN10浓度,当管道内的平均背景PN10浓度低于UN GTR标准中规定的20 #/cm³时,认为背景浓度稳定,可以开展不同测试循环的正式排放测试工作。本研究选取的制动鼓虽搭载于重型车上,但其最大设计总质量接近于轻型车,因此在测试循环的选取上项目组选择了适用于轻型车的WLTP-Brake循环、WLTP循环,以及适用于重型车的CHTC-LT循环、C-WTVC循环(见图2)。为了使PM2.5测试所用的颗粒物收集滤纸有足够的荷重以保证测试结果的准确性和重复性,因此在正式排放测试过程中,除了WLTP-Brake循环只运行1次之外(10个行程之间均停下来等温度降到40 ℃后再进入下一个行程),其他3个时长不大于30 min的测试循环均运行5个循环,且每个循环开始前保证制动鼓温度降到40 ℃。
表 4是本研究采用的不同测试循环的统计特征。对于循环平均车速而言,适用于轻型车的WLTP尾气循环与WLTP-Brake循环均较高,因其最高车速均可达到131 km/h左右。在平均减速度方面,UN GTR构建的制动排放测试专用循环WLTP-Brake循环最高,比WLTP循环高41%,虽然这两条循环曲线都基于同一个实际道路车辆行驶数据库构建,但是WLTP循环用于车辆尾气测试,因此更多考虑会引起车辆排放增加的加速过程,而WLTP-Brake循环则更注重引起制动排放的减速过程,因此二者的平均减速度差异较大。对于平均每公里制动次数而言,CTTC-LT循环最高,达到了2.2次/km,而WLTP-Brake循环则是最低的,仅为1.58次/km。
制动初速度对制动磨损颗粒物排放有重要影响,图3所示是不同测试循环的制动初速度累积频率分布情况。从图中可以看出,不同循环的制动初速度中值(第50百分位)的大小排序为:WLTP-Brake<CHTC-LT<C-WTVC<WLTP。不同循环下同一累积频率对应的制动初速度的差异大多不会超过20 km/h,但总体而言同一累积频率下WLTP循环的制动初速度基本上均高于其他循环。CHTC-LT循环低于20 km/h的制动初速度占比明显高于其他循环,制动初速度在22~55 km/h区间内的累计分布频率与WLTP-Brake循环相近。WLTP循环和WLTP-Brake循环的最大制动初速度均为131 km/h左右。如前所述,WLTP-Brake循环和WLTP循环都基于同一个实际道路车辆行驶数据库构建,但其制动初速度中值差异较为明显,可能是因为WLTP-Brake循环在构建过程中考虑使其制动初速度分布更接近于数据库中的情况,而WLTP循环在工况构建时则未重点考虑该参数。
制动减速度也是描述制动强度的主要指标,图4所示是不同测试循环的平均制动减速度累积频率分布情况。从图中可以看出,不同循环的平均制动减速度中值(第50百分位)的大小排序为:CHTC-LT<C-WTVC<WLTP<WLTP-Brake。与不同循环下制动初速度累积频率分布规律不同的是,同一累积频率下不同循环下的平均制动减速度排序均无变化,WLTP-Brake循环、CHTC-LT循环的平均制动减速度累计频率分布始终分别是最低和最高的。WLTP-Brake循环的平均制动减速度明显高于其他循环,其最高值达到了2.183 m/s2,WLTP循环的最高值则仅为1.18 m/s2
制动间隔时间主要通过影响制动器温度,从而影响到制动颗粒物排放,图5所示是不同测试循环的制动间隔时间累积频率分布情况。从图中可以看出,不同循环的制动间隔时间中值(第50百分位)的大小排序为:WLTP<CHTC-LT<WLTP-Brake<C-WTVC。WLTP-Brake循环的最大制动间隔时间为659 s,而WLTP循环仅为70 s。与不同循环下的制动初速度累计频率分布类似,不同循环的制动间隔时间累积频率分布存在交叉,但可以看出同一累积频率下,C-WTVC循环和WLTP-Brake循环对应的制动间隔时间相对而言更长一些,而WLTP循环的制动间隔时间基本上均最短。
研究发现制动磨损颗粒物排放存在临界制动温度,当制动器温度超过临界温度时,颗粒物排放明显增加,且此时主要以小粒径颗粒物排放为主,同时可能伴随着挥发性的成分存在[21-23],因此,制动温度对制动颗粒物排放具有重要影响。图6所示是不同测试循环每一次制动的制动鼓制动初始温度和制动终了温度的对比。从图中可以看出,除了WLTP-Brake循环因各行程之间需要热浸而使各行程一开始的制动温度均为40 ℃以下外,其余3个循环的制动初始温度和终了温度均随循环的进行呈上升的趋势。不同循环下的最高制动终了温度排序为 C-WTVC<CHTC-LT<WLTP<WLTP-Brake,CHTC-LT循环和C-WTVC循环的最高制动终了温度仅分别为154和123 ℃,而WLTP-Brake循环和WLTP循环的最高制动终了温度则在最高制动初速度分别为132.5和131 km/h制动事件下分别达到了330.1和234.6 ℃。不同循环下的平均制动初始/终了温度排序为CHTC-LT<C-WTVC<WLTP-Brake<WLTP,在WLTP-Brake循环下因为各行程之间的热浸段(即前一行程结束后需要等制动器温度降低到40 ℃以下之后才可开始下一个行程)而拉低了制动鼓在该循环下的平均制动温度。此外,通过对比除WLTP-Brake循环外其他3个不同循环的制动间隔时间中值(第50百分位)的大小排序,可以得出不同循环下的平均制动初始/终了温度不仅受制动间隔时间的影响,还会受到制动初速度、制动减速度等的综合影响的结论。
图7所示是不同测试循环下的PM2.5、PN10排放因子。从图中可以看出WLTP循环下的PM2.5、PN10排放因子明显高于其他循环,且其PM2.5排放因子甚至是其他循环的2倍,而WLTP-Brake循环的PM2.5、PN10排放因子均最低。不同循环下的PM2.5排放因子排序为:WLTP-Brake<C-WTVC<CHTC-LT<WLTP。PN10排放因子排序为:WLTP-Brake<CHTC-LT<C-WTVC<WLTP。由此分析,各循环PN10、PM2.5排放因子的排放规律与不同循环制动初速度累积频率中值的分布规律较为接近,但与制动减速度、制动时间间隔等其他制动特征参数的分布规律差异较大,可见测试循环的制动初速度对颗粒物排放的影响大于制动减速度、制动间隔时间等其他制动特征参数。Liu 等[24]采用有限元分析方法和制动测功机试验测试了前轴制动盘在WLTP、LACT和WLTP-Brake循环下的制动排放,研究结果同样表明,制动初速度的增加会导致制动颗粒物排放的增加,并提出了降低高速制动的频率可能是减少PM10排放的有效策略。Liu 等[25]的研究还指出,控制PM10排放的前5个最重要因素为耗散能、制动初速度、最终制动温度、制动功率和制动减速度。此外,刘笃优等[26]研究了制动初速度、制动减速度和制动初温3个因素对制动摩擦材料磨损的影响,结果表明制动初速度对磨损颗粒物的影响最大。基于本试验结果及其他公开发表论文的结论可知,制动减速度对制动排放的影响小于制动初速度。
由于制动鼓磨损的颗粒物容易落在鼓中而不易逸出,因此制动鼓磨损产生的颗粒物排放研究对于制动盘来说相对较少[11,27-28]。然而本次试验研究结果显示,WLTP-Brake循环下的制动鼓PM2.5排放因子可达1.67 mg/km,因试验制动鼓的轴荷分 配比为50%,因此可将该值乘以4(4个轮子/辆车)即可得到每辆车的PM2.5排放因子,即为6.68 mg/km。当前版本的欧七提案中,对于纯电动以外的轻型车,其每辆车制动PM10排放限值为7 mg/km。虽然制动鼓磨损排放的颗粒物主要集中在小粒径范围,但如果加上试验制动鼓在2.5~10 μm粒径段之间的PM排放,那么该制动鼓则很有可能无法满足欧七提案的限值要求。因此,本研究得出的结论是,制动鼓的PM排放并不比想象中的少,因此其制动磨损排放控制与制动盘一样需要引起重视。
图8图9分别是不同测试循环下的PN10瞬态排放情况。从图中可以看出,WLTP-Brake循环和WLTP循环的PN10排放在分别从制动初速度132.5、131 km/h减速至34 km/h、0的制动事件中出现明显高于其他制动事件的峰值,峰值浓度可达4×104 ~ 6×104 #/cm3。该瞬态PN10排放最高的制动事件,WLTP-Brake循环和WLTP循环的制动减速度分别为1.82和0.52 m/s2,而这两个循环的最大制动减速度分别为2.18和1.18 m/s²,可见瞬态PN10排放最高值对应于循环中最大制动初速度的制动事件,而非循环中最大减速度的制动事件。Liu等[24]的测试也得出在WLTP-Brake循环和WLTP循环的最大制动减速度的制动事件中,制动盘的PM10排放量也是最高的结论。这也进一步验证了如前所述的制动初速度对颗粒物排放的影响大于制动减速度、制动间隔时间等其他制动特征参数的结论。除了该制动事件外,各循环其他制动事件下的PN10瞬时浓度均低于2×104 #/cm3
GTR标准要求测试并记录各行程间热浸段的PN排放,但热浸段排放不参与最终的PN比排放计算,图9展示的PN10排放数据也包含了各行程间的热浸阶段。经分析,发现WLTP-Brake循环试验中,PN10瞬态排放峰值超过1×104 #/cm3的制动事件如表5所示,从表中可以看出,这些制动事件均为制动初速度高于95 km/h的制动事件,而制动减速度则有高至1.824也有低至0.821 m/s2,这也说明制动初速度对制动减速度的影响大于制动减速度。此外,通过分析单一制动事件中PN10排放峰值出现时间与制动开始时间的关系,发现在此试验中,PN10排放峰值出现时间一般会比制动开始时间延迟250 s左右。
本研究在基于重型制动惯量台构建的制动排放测试系统,分别采用AVL M.O.V.E. PM-PEMS iX 494和AVL489测试了试验制动鼓在CHTC-LT、C-WTVC、WLTP-Brake和WLTP循环下的PM2.5、PN10排放,得出如下结论。
(1) 制动鼓在不同测试循环下的平均制动初始/终了温度存在较大差异,最高制动终了温度基本上均出现在循环中最大制动初速度对应的制动事件中。
(2) 制动鼓的PM排放并不比想象中的少,因此其制动磨损颗粒物排放控制与制动盘一样需要引起重视。WLTP-Brake循环下的制动鼓PM2.5排放因子可达1.67 mg/km,对于装配试验制动鼓的车辆其PM2.5排放因子为6.68 mg/km,已相当接近当前版本的欧七提案中对于纯电动以外轻型车的制动PM10排放限值(7 mg/km)。
(3) 不同测试循环下制动PM2.5、PN10排放因子的变化趋势与各循环制动初速度累积频率中值的分布规律较为接近,且制动PN10瞬态排放最高值出现在测试循环中最大制动初速度的制动事件中,因此可以得出制动初速度对制动颗粒物排放的影响明显大于平均制动减速度、平均制动间隔时间等制动特征参数的结论。
