Current crash protection research for pedestrians has been conducted primarily on adults, with no classification of adults and children. In this paper, a numerical simulation model of human-vehicle collision is established according to the relevant crash provisions of Euro-NCAP, and the simulation analysis shows that universal airbags cannot effectively reduce the head injuries of adults and children at the same time. Therefore, an airbag energy absorption device for adult and child classification protection is studied according to the characteristics of airbags and the physiological differences between adults and children, and an improved YOLOv5 pedestrian target detection model is proposed to realize the classified recognition of adults and children. According to the classification results, the vehicle control module dynamically adjusts the parameters of the airbag energy absorption device, so that the device can be deployed to different states for adults and children respectively, realizing the classification protection of pedestrians. The results show that the designed target detection model is able to achieve the classification and recognition of pedestrians, with an increase of 3.11% and 4.32% in terms of adult and child category detection accuracy, respectively, compared with the initial model. After installing the airbag energy absorption device, the HIC value of the adult head can be reduced by a maximum of 63.4% and the peak acceleration can be reduced by a maximum of 61.7%, while the HIC value of the child head can be reduced by 31.4% and the peak acceleration can be reduced by 53.2%. The thesis research results can provide scientific theoretical support for the design of pedestrian active and passive safety protection devices.

当前面向行人的碰撞保护研究主要针对成人开展,未对成人和儿童实施分类保护。本文根据Euro-NCAP相关碰撞条款,建立了人-车碰撞数值仿真模型。仿真分析表明,通用气囊无法同时有效降低成人和儿童头部损伤。为此,根据安全气囊的特点及成人和儿童生理上的差异研究了成人和儿童分类保护气囊式吸能装置,并提出了一种改进的YOLOv5行人目标检测模型以实现对成人和儿童的分类识别。根据分类结果,汽车控制模块动态调整气囊式吸能装置参数,使该装置能够针对成人和儿童分别展开到不同状态,实现对行人的分类保护。结果表明,所设计的目标检测模型能够实现行人的分类识别,与初始模型相比,其在成人和儿童类别检测精确度方面分别提高了3.11%和4.32%。安装分类保护气囊装置后,成人头部HIC值能够最大降低63.4%,峰值加速度能够最大降低61.7%;儿童头部HIC值能够最大降低31.4%,峰值加速度能够最大降低53.2%。研究成果能够为行人主被动安全保护装置设计提供科学理论支撑。

当前面向行人的碰撞保护研究主要针对成人开展,未对成人和儿童实施分类保护。本文根据Euro-NCAP相关碰撞条款,建立了人-车碰撞数值仿真模型。仿真分析表明,通用气囊无法同时有效降低成人和儿童头部损伤。为此,根据安全气囊的特点及成人和儿童生理上的差异研究了成人和儿童分类保护气囊式吸能装置,并提出了一种改进的YOLOv5行人目标检测模型以实现对成人和儿童的分类识别。根据分类结果,汽车控制模块动态调整气囊式吸能装置参数,使该装置能够针对成人和儿童分别展开到不同状态,实现对行人的分类保护。结果表明,所设计的目标检测模型能够实现行人的分类识别,与初始模型相比,其在成人和儿童类别检测精确度方面分别提高了3.11%和4.32%。安装分类保护气囊装置后,成人头部HIC值能够最大降低63.4%,峰值加速度能够最大降低61.7%;儿童头部HIC值能够最大降低31.4%,峰值加速度能够最大降低53.2%。研究成果能够为行人主被动安全保护装置设计提供科学理论支撑。

Current crash protection research for pedestrians has been conducted primarily on adults, with no classification of adults and children. In this paper, a numerical simulation model of human-vehicle collision is established according to the relevant crash provisions of Euro-NCAP, and the simulation analysis shows that universal airbags cannot effectively reduce the head injuries of adults and children at the same time. Therefore, an airbag energy absorption device for adult and child classification protection is studied according to the characteristics of airbags and the physiological differences between adults and children, and an improved YOLOv5 pedestrian target detection model is proposed to realize the classified recognition of adults and children. According to the classification results, the vehicle control module dynamically adjusts the parameters of the airbag energy absorption device, so that the device can be deployed to different states for adults and children respectively, realizing the classification protection of pedestrians. The results show that the designed target detection model is able to achieve the classification and recognition of pedestrians, with an increase of 3.11% and 4.32% in terms of adult and child category detection accuracy, respectively, compared with the initial model. After installing the airbag energy absorption device, the HIC value of the adult head can be reduced by a maximum of 63.4% and the peak acceleration can be reduced by a maximum of 61.7%, while the HIC value of the child head can be reduced by 31.4% and the peak acceleration can be reduced by 53.2%. The thesis research results can provide scientific theoretical support for the design of pedestrian active and passive safety protection devices.

据世界卫生组织(WHO)统计显示,每年全世界约有119万人因道路交通事故丧生,平均每天就有3 300人死于道路交通事故,其中行人占比高达23%1。行人作为交通环境中的弱势群体,对其在碰撞条件下的保护已成为汽车行业重点研究方向之一。
行人保护不同于车内乘员保护,当行人与汽车发生碰撞时,其与车辆的相对位置和运动状态等参数相比于车内乘员更具有不确定性。为更好研究人-车碰撞事故中行人运动机制,汽车与行人的碰撞事故再现对行人保护研究具有实际意义。Monfort等2研究了汽车形状、碰撞车速、身高体质量对行人损伤程度的影响。Shi等3对10例人-车碰撞事故进行重建和人体损伤再现,研究了真实交通事故中行人头部损伤预测方法。张诗波等4构建了面包车与行人的多刚体碰撞仿真模型,获得了多种碰撞条件下行人碰撞后的纵向/横向抛距、抛射高度、抛射角度等运动学数据,为人-车碰撞事故运动学分析提供参考。各国学者对人-车碰撞事故再现进行了深入研究,但成人和儿童存在生理上的差异,在人-车碰撞事故中其与车辆接触部位不同,会影响随后的人体运动学和动力学响应。探究不同行人在事故中的损伤特性,制定合理的行人保护策略,对保障行人交通安全权益至关重要。
在行人损伤研究方面,国内外学者通过生物样本、假人模型和数值仿真模型对行人的生物力学响应、损伤机理及人体耐受度进行了深入研究。Ghajari等5根据成年人核磁共振成像数据集建立了头部力学仿真模型,包括颅骨、脑干和脑室等精密结构,能够用于研究交通事故发生时头部撞击与外伤性脑损伤间的关系。曲志冬等6根据青年人和老年人的人体特征及骨骼材料特性建立了不同年龄人体的下肢模型,并结合车辆前端结构特征模拟正面碰撞,分析了年龄、车辆前端结构与下肢损伤的定量关系。石亮亮等7构建了一系列人-车碰撞多体模型,利用多元线性回归方法分析了车辆结构参数对行人运动学和头部损伤的影响。在人-车碰撞事故中,儿童由于身体发育和社会经验的局限,显得更为弱势。目前国内外对行人损伤的研究主要针对成人开展,关于儿童行人损伤的研究相对较少,现有保护策略难以实现对儿童行人的有效保护。
在行人被动安全保护装置设计方面,由于人-车碰撞事故中,行人头部和下肢的损伤是造成行人死亡和严重残疾的主要原因,因此,头部和下肢是行人安全防护的研究重点。Zhao等8提出了一种具有负泊松比的凹形八角蜂窝结构的车辆发动机罩,该发动机罩在行人保护和轻量化设计方面具有突出优势。权利9设计了一款主动式发动机罩系统,建立了成人和儿童头锤冲击不同车型的碰撞模型,对比了安装该结构前后行人头部响应的变化。魏玉钊等10在汽车前端设置发动机罩安全气囊,使得假人头部HIC值、颈部最大剪切力及最大弯矩分别减少了58.70%、40.66%和52.80%。胡帅帅等11基于某汽车设计了一种行人保护气囊,能够使行人头部损伤最大降低60%。当前,行人被动安全保护研究主要从车辆前端结构优化、弹起式发动机罩和行人保护气囊设计等方面开展。车辆前端结构优化及弹起式发动机罩设计未能考虑行人与发动机罩后侧其他区域的碰撞;行人保护气囊主要对成人头部实施保护,未考虑对儿童头部的有效保护。此外,汽车被动安全保护装置大多采用力学感知传感器,易发生不触发或误触发。汽车一体化安全技术的出现为行人保护研究带来了技术革新。
近年来基于一体化安全的行人保护研究取得了一定成果。张雷等12开发了主动式行人保护+紧急防撞系统,通过摄像头和雷达进行行人识别和距离感知,如果感知判断前方为行人,则降低弹起式发动机罩起爆门限,使得该机构易于触发;如果感知判断前方不是行人,则提高起爆门限,降低误爆率,以实现对行人的精准保护。冯燕13提出了一种车门-行人碰撞保护气囊系统,该系统通过各种传感器对距离、速度、车门开启角度等数据进行检测,并采用红外线传感器检测车门后方位是否存在行人,然后将测得的数据传送给控制器进行分析处理,当判断距离、速度、车门开启角度同时达到临界值,即判定气囊须展开,以此保护行人头部。
在汽车一体化保护研究中,各国学者未将行人保护气囊与主动安全保护技术相结合,且绝大多数行人保护气囊主要面向成人开展,并未对成人和儿童头部进行分类保护研究。由于成人和儿童存在生理上的差异,导致在人-车碰撞事故中会产生不同的运动机制、损伤程度和损伤位置,其相应的保护策略也应有所不同。因此,开展面向成人和儿童在人-车碰撞事故中的分类保护研究具有重要意义。本文从行人分类保护角度出发,研究了一种面向行人分类保护的汽车气囊式吸能装置,该装置通过行人分类识别系统既能将行人与其他物体进行区分,又能对行人进行具体分类,以达到提前预判碰撞对象的目的。此外,汽车控制模块根据具体分类结果动态调节相应的气囊参数,实现对成人和儿童的分类保护,从而提高行人保护效果。
在人-车碰撞事故中,发动机罩是行人头部碰撞的主要区域,其由6个部件组成,有限元模型如图1所示。各部件的连接形式主要有焊接、胶粘、螺栓连接、包边结构连接等,其中内外板中间区域采用胶粘连接,而胶粘单元与内板采用共节点连接,与外板连接通过关键字*CONTACT_TIED_SHELL_EDGE_TO_SURFACE_OFFSET实现;内外板边缘区域采用共节点连接;发动机罩内板、铰链加强板和铰链间使用螺栓连接,通过刚性单元进行模拟;盖锁加强板与发动机罩内外板采用胶粘连接,通过关键字*CONTACT_TIED_SHELL_EDGE_TO_SURFACE_OFFSET实现。
气囊式吸能装置的作用是在覆盖区域范围内保护行人头部,降低头部伤害。由于成人和儿童的身高不同,发生碰撞时头部与发动机罩的接触位置也有所不同14。发生碰撞时,成人头部与汽车发动机罩的接触位置位于发动机罩后端直至风窗玻璃之间。风窗玻璃底部有雨刮、雨刮转轴等刚度较大的零部件对成人头部危害较大。身材矮小的成人和儿童的头部一般与汽车发动机罩的中前端发生碰撞,而发动机罩中前端有许多硬点结构是造成头部伤害的主要来源。为有效保护绝大多数儿童和成人头部,本文所设计的气囊式吸能装置展开后能够覆盖在汽车风窗玻璃前端以及汽车发动机罩中部等位置,所设计的气囊包型如图2所示。
根据本文定义的气囊式吸能装置覆盖范围、所设计包型和发动机罩系统,构建气囊式吸能装置有限元模型。气囊式吸能装置由上下两片织物材料缝合而成,其外形设置为长方形,长1 640 mm,宽650 mm,采用平均单元尺寸6 mm × 6 mm的四边形网格划分气囊表面,并安装在汽车前风窗玻璃底部。
根据欧洲新车评估规程(Euro-NCAP)建立行人头型冲击器与汽车碰撞模型。成人头型冲击器以40 km/h的速度撞击汽车发动机罩,且速度方向与水平成 65 ° ± 2 °夹角;儿童头型冲击器以40 km/h的速度撞击汽车发动机罩,且速度方向与水平成 50 ° ± 2 °夹角15,如图3所示。
首先设计了一款通用式气囊吸能装置,即气囊1,其采用*AIRBAG_WANG_NEFSKE均匀压力数学模型进行模拟,无须建立充气装置,通过质量流量和温度来描述气体发生器产生的气体,如图4所示。
HIC值是国际常用的伤害指标,规定HIC1000为头部损伤的耐受极限参考值:

在Euro-NCAP行人保护测试试验中,头部碰撞区域由包络线1000、2100及发动机罩侧基准线包围而成。其中WAD1000~WAD1500为儿童头型碰撞区域,WAD1700~WAD2100为成人头部碰撞区域,而WAD1500~WAD1700间的区域则根据车辆实际情况来确定15。根据汽车前端结构特点选择碰撞点,所选取成人和儿童碰撞点为A11_0、C6_0,如图5所示。
图6(a)图6(b)分别为成人头型与无发动机罩气囊、安全气囊1的碰撞过程,碰撞点为A11_0。从图7可以看出,成人头型以11.1 m/s的速度撞击汽车风窗玻璃,大约在24 ms时与汽车风窗玻璃接触。由于风窗玻璃的缓冲和吸能特性,使得成人头型冲击器的加速度迅速上升,最终达到280.72g,头部HIC值也高达1 682.67,成人头部受到严重伤害。当安装气囊式吸能装置1后,从成人头部第一次与汽车接触时刻开始,头型加速度曲线的上升更为平缓,因为气囊系统会对头部进行缓冲吸能,且气囊延长了头部发生碰撞的接触时间,将碰撞能量均匀地分布在较长的接触时间段内,从而降低了对头部的伤害。
图8(a)图8(b)分别为儿童头型与无发动机罩气囊、安全气囊1的碰撞过程,碰撞点为C6_0。从图9可以看出,儿童头型以11.1 m/s的速度撞击汽车发动机罩,大约在35 ms时与汽车发动机罩接触。发动机罩下方无硬点且有充足的缓冲空间,一般情况下HIC值应在650以下,而此碰撞点的HIC值达到761.01,主要因为该碰撞点也处于内板加强筋部位,使得儿童头型加速度及HIC值较高。当安装气囊式吸能装置1后,从儿童头部第1次与气囊接触时刻开始,头型加速度曲线的上升更为缓慢,说明气囊系统具有缓冲吸能作用。儿童头部与气囊1的碰撞大约在37 ms时加速度达到峰值,随后缓慢降低,但其加速度值仍然较大,未能充分吸收冲击能量,从而对儿童头部造成较为严重的伤害。
根据图7图9所示,气囊1对成人头部有着良好的保护效果。由于气囊1的内部压力较大使得儿童头部撞击气囊后有反弹趋势,导致头部加速度迅速上升且产生峰值,会对儿童头部造成更为严重的伤害。因此,设计了另一款通用式气囊吸能装置,即气囊2,其质量流曲线如图10所示。气囊2相对于气囊1内部压力较小,整体较为柔软。
图11图12分别为儿童头型与安全气囊2的碰撞过程和头部HIC值。儿童头部大约在20 ms与气囊2进行接触,撞击后无反弹趋势,能够充分吸收冲击能量,实现对儿童头部的有效保护。安装气囊2后,儿童头部HIC值相比于未安装气囊时下降了25.1%,且相比于气囊1,HIC值降低了65.3%,对儿童头部保护效果较好。
图13图14分别为成人头型与安全气囊2的碰撞过程和头部HIC值。成人头部大约在15 ms就与气囊进行接触,由于气囊2内部压力比气囊1小,展开后的气囊不能完全吸收头型带来的冲击能量,使得成人头部与风窗玻璃发生了接触。安装气囊2后,成人头部HIC值相比于未安装气囊时下降了12.0%,但相比于气囊1,HIC值增加了7.3%,对成人头部保护效果不佳。
为实现对成人和儿童的分类保护,提出一种面向行人分类保护的汽车气囊式吸能装置,其工作原理如图15所示。当汽车以一定速度行驶时,车载摄像头采集道路图像,并将图像传递给行人识别系统以获取行人目标。当判定碰撞对象为道路弱势群体且碰撞不可避免时,汽车控制单元根据分类结果给气囊系统相应的触发信号,并调节相应气囊参数,随后气体发生器会在短时间内释放气体,使分类保护气囊在碰撞发生前完全展开,实现对行人的分类保护。
根据上述分析可知,由于成人与儿童存在生理上的差异,使得成人和儿童头部与汽车接触的时间点不一致,气囊的保护效果也会有所不同。此外,不同状态的安全气囊对行人的保护效果也存在差异,气囊的气体质量流量变化会直接影响气囊内的气压大小,而气压大小又决定了气囊系统的刚度。若气囊内部气压过大,充气快速而泄气缓慢,其气囊系统整体较为刚硬,儿童头部会因反弹受到更严重的伤害;若气压过小,充气缓慢而泄气过快,其气囊系统整体较为柔软,未能有效保护成人头部。因此,对于成人来说,应增大气囊内部压力,充气速度加快且泄气速度适中;对于身材较为矮小的成人和儿童来说,应降低气囊内部压力,加快泄气速度,为成人和儿童头部提供良好的缓冲吸能作用16
根据安全气囊的特点及成人和儿童生理上的差异分别设计了适合成人和儿童头部保护的气囊气体质量流曲线以及不同的泄气孔面积。图16所示为不同气囊式吸能装置气体质量流曲线。
为实现气囊式吸能装置对行人的分类保护,提出了基于车载视觉传感器的行人分类识别方法,利用改进的YOLOv5网络实现行人的快速检测,以获取其分类结果。
YOLOv5网络在目标检测领域整体性能较强,但由于行人类别具有多样化的特点,尤其在复杂交通环境中仍存在漏检、错检等问题。为提高行人目标检测能力,本文采用了CBAM注意力机制,加强对行人目标的关注,抑制环境等无关信息的干扰17。CBAM结合通道注意力机制和空间注意力机制,能够有效提高网络的特征提取能力,提升检测精度。同时,本文还采用ASPP结构代替原网络SPP结构,ASPP利用空洞卷积扩大网络感受野的同时不会改变特征图的大小,将最大池化层替换为相应的空洞卷积层,以避免下采样过程中造成行人目标的信息丢失18。改进后的YOLOv5网络如图17所示。
采用精确度(precision,P)、回召率(recall,R)和平均精确率(average precision,AP)作为模型的评价指标:

式中: T P表示模型正确分类的正样本; F P表示模型错误分类的负样本; F N表示模型错误分类的正样本。
在行人检测领域中,存在多种复杂的检测环境,为此基于多复杂目标检测场景,自制行人数据集,以提供更多样化的行人样本,其共包含1 822张图像,并使用Labelimg工具对目标以最小外接矩形进行标注分类。数据集的待检测目标共分为两类,即成人和儿童。为了解改进后的YOLOv5网络性能,将两者模型进行训练验证,其结果如表1所示。在成人类别的检测效果方面,改进的模型在精确度、回召率上分别提高了3.11%和4.20%;在儿童类别的检测效果方面,改进的模型在精确度、回召率和平均准确率上都有所提高,分别提高了4.32%、8.17%和1.93%。
综上所述,本文提出的改进方法与初始模型相比具有一定优势,这表明增加CBAM注意力机制和ASPP结构有助于增强网络对成人和儿童的检测能力。图18为原始YOLOv5模型与改进后的YOLOv5模型的检测对比结果,在初始模型中,有一个成人被错误地分类为儿童,而改进后的模型可以正确识别。
为验证分类保护气囊对成人和儿童头部的保护效果,增加了成人和儿童碰撞点选取数量,如图19所示。选取的成人碰撞点为A11_0、A8_5和A10_-6,儿童碰撞点为C6_0、C5_-2和C5_-4。
进行人-车碰撞数值仿真计算,结果如图20图21表2所示。在成人头部保护中,分类保护气囊增加了内部压力且降低了泄气速度,能够吸收成人头型带来的冲击能量。安装分类保护气囊后,各碰撞点的峰值加速度相比于未安装气囊条件下最大降低了61.7%,各碰撞点的头部HIC值最大降低了63.4%。分类保护气囊能大幅降低成人头型冲击器的峰值加速度且加速度更为平缓,能够为成人头部带来更好的保护效果。
进行人-车碰撞数值仿真计算,结果如图22图23表3所示。在儿童头部保护中,分类保护气囊降低了内部压力且加快了泄气速度,使得儿童头部能够侵入气囊一定深度且无二次反弹趋势,避免对儿童造成二次伤害。安装分类保护气囊后,各碰撞点的峰值加速度相比于未安装气囊条件下最大降低了53.2%,头部HIC值最大降低了31.4%。分类保护气囊能够大幅降低儿童头型冲击器的峰值加速度,为儿童头部带来更好的保护效果。
面向行人分类保护需求,研究了分类保护气囊装置实现方法,并分析了分类保护气囊对成人和儿童头部的保护效果,研究结果如下。
(1)设计了两种通用式气囊装置开展行人碰撞保护研究,结果表明:气囊1对成人头部保护效果较好,而对儿童头部带来更为严重的伤害;气囊2对儿童头部保护效果较好,而对成人头部保护效果不佳。两种通用式气囊装置无法同时有效保护成人和儿童头部。因此,根据安全气囊的特点及成人和儿童生理上的差异研究了行人分类保护气囊装置。
(2)为实现在不同碰撞场景下触发不同状态的气囊式吸能装置,提出了一种改进的YOLOv5模型以实现行人的分类检测。在特征提取网络中使用CBAM注意力机制来增强目标的定位能力。采用ASPP模块代替SPP模块,增加网络感受野,以提取更多的特征信息。改进后的网络减少了误检、漏检等问题,网络检测速度满足实时检测要求。改进后的网络模型在成人和儿童类别上,精确度比原模型分别提高了3.11%和4.32%。
(3)分类保护气囊装置通过改进的YOLOv5模型实现了行人的分类识别。根据分类结果,汽车控制模块动态调整气囊式吸能装置参数,使该装置能够针对成人和儿童分别展开到不同状态,以实现对行人的分类保护。安装分类保护气囊后能够有效降低成人和儿童头部损伤,其相应的峰值加速度最大降低了61.7%和53.2%,头部HIC值最大降低了63.4%和31.4%。
