In this paper, based on the 2024 C-NCAP evaluation regulations, a finite element model of an SUV front end impacting a pedestrian's leg was established using ANSA software. Numerical simulations were carried out using LS-DYNA, and test data were employed to validate the model. Evaluation of the injury values obtained from the simulation and testing shows that the thigh bending moment and knee ligament elongation comply with the high performance limits of the 2024 C-NCAP, whereas the calf bending moment T1 does not. Further analysis shows that the lower front-end grille presses against the knee, occupies the X-direction energy-absorbing space, limits the deformation of the front bumper to absorb energy, and thus increases the calf bending moment. Two targeted structural improvements were made: the solid structure in the center of the energy-absorbing foam was replaced by an open-cell structure with a small groove at the upper end, and the license-plate mounting bracket was lowered by 10 mm along the X-direction. After these modifications, the calf bending moment T1 drops to 265.1 Nm, meeting the 2024 C-NCAP high-performance limit, and the thigh bending moment and the knee ligament elongation continue to satisfy the same criteria.

以2024版C-NCAP评价规程为依据,运用ANSA软件建立某SUV车型前端结构与行人腿部碰撞的有限元模型,利用LS-DYNA软件进行数值模拟计算,并利用试验结果对模型进行了有效性验证。对仿真和试验得到的伤害值进行评估后发现,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量分别符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,但小腿弯矩T1不符合。由于车辆前端结构的下格栅顶住膝盖部位,占据X向吸能空间,影响前保险杠变形吸能,导致小腿弯矩增加。对结构进行针对性的改进,将吸能泡沫中间位置处的实体结构改为开孔结构,且上端设有小凹槽;将牌照安装点结构的X向高度降低10 mm。结果表明,结构改进后,小腿弯矩T1为265.1 Nm,符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量也都符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能要求。

以2024版C-NCAP评价规程为依据,运用ANSA软件建立某SUV车型前端结构与行人腿部碰撞的有限元模型,利用LS-DYNA软件进行数值模拟计算,并利用试验结果对模型进行了有效性验证。对仿真和试验得到的伤害值进行评估后发现,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量分别符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,但小腿弯矩T1不符合。由于车辆前端结构的下格栅顶住膝盖部位,占据X向吸能空间,影响前保险杠变形吸能,导致小腿弯矩增加。对结构进行针对性的改进,将吸能泡沫中间位置处的实体结构改为开孔结构,且上端设有小凹槽;将牌照安装点结构的X向高度降低10 mm。结果表明,结构改进后,小腿弯矩T1为265.1 Nm,符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量也都符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能要求。

In this paper, based on the 2024 C-NCAP evaluation regulations, a finite element model of an SUV front end impacting a pedestrian's leg was established using ANSA software. Numerical simulations were carried out using LS-DYNA, and test data were employed to validate the model. Evaluation of the injury values obtained from the simulation and testing shows that the thigh bending moment and knee ligament elongation comply with the high performance limits of the 2024 C-NCAP, whereas the calf bending moment T1 does not. Further analysis shows that the lower front-end grille presses against the knee, occupies the X-direction energy-absorbing space, limits the deformation of the front bumper to absorb energy, and thus increases the calf bending moment. Two targeted structural improvements were made: the solid structure in the center of the energy-absorbing foam was replaced by an open-cell structure with a small groove at the upper end, and the license-plate mounting bracket was lowered by 10 mm along the X-direction. After these modifications, the calf bending moment T1 drops to 265.1 Nm, meeting the 2024 C-NCAP high-performance limit, and the thigh bending moment and the knee ligament elongation continue to satisfy the same criteria.

随着汽车保有量的不断增加,交通事故问题愈发严峻,逐渐成为社会中的突出难题。2023年,我国共发生道路交通事故254 738次,交通事故导致死亡60 028人[1]。在交通事故中,行人与车辆发生碰撞的事故占比很高。行人与车辆发生碰撞时,行人腿部是碰撞的第一接触点,腿部损伤的几率高达69%[2]。腿部碰撞虽然不是致命伤害,但有可能导致终身残疾,彻底丧失劳动能力,因此,行人的安全问题变得越来越重要。各个国家都在制定或更新行人保护的法规和标准,以此加强对行人的保护。中国在2018年将行人保护测试正式引入C-NCAP评价体系,推动了国内对行人保护技术的研究和应用。2024版C-NCAP在行人保护方面进行了全面的升级和调整,以更严格和全面的要求对车辆进行安全性能测试。
近年来,SUV车型因其具有宽敞的内部空间、良好的动力性能、多功能性和较高的安全性等特点,越来越受到人们的喜爱。2024年11月,我国SUV车型销量达到158.8万辆,同比增长18.4%;此外,在2024年1—11月,我国SUV车型的销量始终占车型总销量的50%以上[3]。随着城市中SUV车型数量的不断增加,SUV车型引起的行人安全问题应该引起足够的重视。
本文以最新的2024版C-NCAP评价规程为依据,研究某SUV车型与行人腿部碰撞的保护性能,对该车型前端结构与行人腿部碰撞进行仿真分析与改进设计,力求使该SUV车型行人保护腿部碰撞的3个伤害性指标均满足2024版C-NCAP评价规程中的高性能限值。
构建行人腿部碰撞模型对于研究汽车和行人腿部发生碰撞造成的伤害至关重要,这些模型的生物仿真精度对于试验的有效性和准确性具有显著的影响。国内外相关学者在行人腿部碰撞模型领域开展了大量研究工作,开发了一系列生物拟合度较高的专用行人假人和行人腿部碰撞模型,这些模型既包括实物模型,也包括用于仿真分析的有限元和多刚体模型。图1为一款先进行人腿部冲击器(Advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor,aPLI)的有限元模型,相对于传统的腿部冲击器,aPLI的设计考虑了人体下肢的生物力学特性和上体质量的影响,更加贴近实际人体腿部的质量布局,提升了腿型的适用性,提供了比以往测试工具更加全面和准确的伤害指标监测[4],所以aPLI被广泛用于评估汽车前端结构与行人腿部发生碰撞时的影响。试验数据依靠aPLI的多个传感器输出,试验结果与实际碰撞中人体的损伤情况基本一致,图2为aPLI的传感器分布。通过这些模型的应用,可以更准确地预测和分析汽车与行人相互作用时的损伤风险,为车辆安全设计提供科学依据。
中国汽车技术研究中心发布的2024版C-NCAP评价规程中使用aPLI代替行人腿部来考察汽车前端对行人的碰撞伤害情况,如图3所示。
试验基本条件为:
(1)保证车辆标记过程中处于正常行驶状态;
(2)试验前,保证下腿型、车辆、发射系统和数据采集系统已在16 ℃至24 ℃的温度环境下放置至少4 h;
(3)调整车辆前后位置,保证下腿型的自由飞行距离;
(4)在初始撞击瞬间,冲击器的底部需保持在距离地面基准平面25 mm,误差范围±10 mm的高度;
(5)撞击保险杠时,冲击器的速度设定为40 km/h,测速装置的精度至少达到±0.072 km/h;
(6)在冲击器与车辆前端发生接触的整个过程中,应保证冲击器不与地面发生触碰[5]
试验内容包括以下3点。
(1)aPLI小腿部位与保险杠的碰撞试验。通过冲击器小腿部位的弯矩值分析车辆保险杠对行人小腿部位的碰撞保护性能。
(2)aPLI膝盖部位与保险杠的碰撞试验。通过冲击器膝盖部位的膝部韧带伸长量考察保险杠对行人膝盖部位的碰撞保护性能。
(3)aPLI大腿部位与发动机盖前缘的碰撞试验。通过冲击器大腿部位的弯矩值分析发动机盖前缘对行人大腿部位的碰撞保护性能。
行人碰撞损伤评价主要是对行人与车辆发生碰撞时可能受到的伤害进行评估,目的是提高车辆的行人保护性能,减少行人在交通事故中的伤亡。该评价体系采用的衡量指标包括:生理学基准(GCS)、伤害简化分类(AIS)和社会影响尺度(ICS)。在实际的交通事故分析中,通常依据AIS标准评定伤害程度,该标准等级越高,表明受伤越严重,表1为AIS与人体损伤程度之间的对应关系。在碰撞事故中,行人的下肢是骨折、软组织损伤和关节损伤的高发区域,依据AIS分级,通常处于1~3级范围内[6-7]。在行人碰撞安全法规中,对于下肢伤害的评价通常使用C-NCAP规定的力学评价标准,分析腿部弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量。
以某SUV整车模型为基础,建立有限元仿真模型。为了减少计算工作量并缩短仿真时间,车辆模型需要去除车门、后备厢门、悬架和副车架等一些距离保险杠较远且较大的部件,只选取对试验结果有显著影响的车辆前端关键部件,包括前保险杠、中网、车灯、发动机盖、前防撞梁、前纵梁和翼子板等,同时还要去除其他距离前保险杠比较远的小部件[8-9]
本文的有限元模型是在ANSA软件中建立的。选取网格尺寸时,使用较小的网格尺寸,可以更精确地捕捉关键结构在复杂载荷作用下的微小变形细节和变形模式,同时确保有限元模型的有效性。但是,如果都使用小网格尺寸进行模拟,将会使模型的计算量呈几何级数增加,会极大地消耗计算资源并延长计算时间,而非关键结构使用大网格尺寸不会对模型的有效性产生实质性的影响,所以关键结构使用较小的网格尺寸,非关键结构使用较大的网格尺寸。因此,对与行人腿部可能发生直接接触的前保险杠、中网和车灯等部件采用4 mm的网格尺寸;对于靠近保险杠的发动机盖、前防撞梁和翼子板等部件,使用6 mm的网格尺寸;那些与保险杠有一定距离的部件,采用8 mm的网格尺寸进行建模。
aPLI有限元模型的高度为1 107 mm,质量为25 kg。2024版C-NCAP规定:aPLI距离地面25 mm,以40±0.72 km/h的速度水平撞击车辆前端,仿真模型与工况如图4所示。
试验和仿真选定的撞击点一致。为了节省计算时间,选择横向坐标y=0 mm(L0)和y=400 mm(L-4)处,如图5所示。
设置仿真模型沙漏控制、aPLI与车辆前端接触、时间步长等相关参数,仿真模拟的总时长设定为80 ms,速度、加速度、力和能量的输出频率均设定为0.1 ms/次,将建立的模型导入LS-DYNA求解器中进行求解。
根据上述选取的撞击点,从仿真试验中提取y=0 mm和y=400 mm处的伤害值曲线,根据2024版C-NCAP的要求对这些曲线进行滤波处理,然后将滤波后的伤害值曲线与试验曲线进行对比分析,仿真和试验结果见表2图6图7。由表2图6图7可知,仿真与试验结果中的伤害值变化趋势具有较高的一致性,并且峰值幅度也十分接近,这说明构建的有限元模型在仿真精度方面具有较高的可靠性和准确性,能作为实际分析的基础。
在撞击点y=0 mm和y=400 mm处,大腿弯矩、小腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量的仿真与试验伤害值变化曲线如图6图7所示。由表2图6图7可知,在撞击点y=400 mm处,该SUV车型行人保护腿部碰撞仿真与试验的3个伤害性指标均符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值;在撞击点y=0 mm处,该SUV车型行人保护腿部碰撞仿真与试验的3个伤害性指标中,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量分别符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值390 Nm和27 mm,但小腿弯矩T1分别为296.3 Nm和301.5 Nm,均超过了2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值275 mm。因此,该SUV车型的行人保护腿部碰撞性能不佳,需要针对撞击点y=0 mm处的碰撞情况进行分析和结构改进。
对小腿弯矩T1超过2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值进行分析。分析可知,由于车辆前端结构中的下格栅顶住膝盖部分,占据X向吸能空间约42 mm,影响前保变形吸能,所以使小腿弯矩增加,仿真分析结果如图8所示。
对车辆的前端结构进行改进时,不仅要保证改进之后小腿弯矩T1符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,还要保证大腿弯矩、膝部韧带伸长量和小腿弯矩T2、T3、T4仍然符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值。
常见的改进策略有:保险杠结构改进,如选用合适的吸能材料、吸能泡沫结构改进、保险杠造型改进和增加缓冲装置等;发动机盖前缘结构改进,如降低刚度设计、增加吸能结构和改进与保险杠的连接等;车辆前端整体结构改进,如设置行人保护支架和改进车身结构刚度分布等[10-12]
以常见的改进策略为基础,以小腿弯矩T1符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值为目标,对车辆前端结构和零部件进行综合考虑,制定改进方案。
(1)吸能泡沫结构改进:吸能泡沫采用聚丙烯塑料发泡材料(EPP),调整吸能泡沫的局部结构,将中间位置的实体结构改为开孔结构,且上端设有小凹槽,可以改进吸能泡沫的变形空间和能量吸收特性,使行人腿部受到的冲击力和变形程度得到缓解,从而降低受伤的风险。改进前后的吸能泡沫结构如图9所示。
(2)牌照安装点结构改进:综合考虑法规要求、车辆前端几何形状以及吸能结构布局,将牌照安装点结构的X向高度降低10 mm,避让吸能泡沫等吸能结构的变形空间,可以改进吸能结构的变形空间和前端结构的能量传递路径,使能量能更有效地传递到吸能结构中,更好地分散和承受这些冲击力,从而降低行人腿部受到的伤害。牌照安装点结构改进如图10所示。
结构改进完成后进行仿真分析,结果如表3图11所示。由图11可知,结构改进后,aPLI的变形程度明显减小。由表3可知,结构改进后,小腿弯矩T1为265.1 Nm,符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值275 mm,大腿弯矩和膝部韧带伸长量也都符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值。所以该SUV车型的行人保护腿部碰撞性能符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能标准。
本文以2024版C-NCAP评价规程为依据,对某SUV车型前端结构与行人腿部碰撞的安全性进行了有限元分析与改进设计,仿真和试验结果表明,在选定撞击点y=0 mm处的小腿弯矩T1超过2024版C-NCAP的高性能限值,随后提出改进方案,并进行仿真验证,得到以下结论。
(1)在SUV车型前端结构与行人腿部碰撞的过程中,车辆前端结构中的下格栅会顶住膝盖部分,占据X向吸能空间,影响前保险杠变形吸能,导致小腿弯矩增加。
(2)吸能泡沫设置减弱孔可以更有效地吸收碰撞能量,降低腿部受到的伤害。合理降低牌照安装点结构的X向高度可以使能量更有效地传递到吸能结构中,提高行人腿部的保护效果。改进方案的结果符合2024版C-NCAP的高性能标准,本文的研究思路和改进方案可以为不同车型前端结构的开发设计提供参考。
