The Mengjiagou iron deposit is located at the northern end of the Mengjiagou-Beitun-Caiyuan synclinorium fold belt in the western ore belt of the northern Qian′an iron orefield in the eastern Hebei. Its orebodys ocurred in form of the gentle and open syncline in the metamorphic rocks of the Santunying Formation of the Archan Qianxi Group. In recent years, with the improvement of exploration level, a second layer of iron ore body has been discovered in the deep part of the Mengjiagou iron deposit. This leads to the opening up of a new space for prospecting iron ore in the Qian′an area of the eastern Hebei. However, the relatively low research level of iron orebodies in depth of the area restricted the understanding of regional mineralization theory. This article aims to explore the similarities and differences between the deep and shallow orebodies of the Mengjiagou iron deposit, to distinguish the sources of ore-forming materials and their ore-forming environment through the analysis of geological and geochemical characteristics of those two layering orebodies. The results show that ores of both the deep and shallow orebodies in the Mengjiagou iron deposit are mainly pyroxene magnetite quartzite ore, with a small amount of dipyroxene magnetite quartzite ore. They have insignificantly different contents of magnetite and basically same texture and structure. However, the dipyroxne magnetite quartzite ore in the shallow layer contains slightly high content of magnetite relative to the deep layer. The lithology of wallrocks of the shallow layering orebodies is relatively consistent, while that of the deep layering orebodies is relatively complicated. Ores of the deep and shallow layering orebodies contain main chemical composition of TFe2O3 and SiO2, with relatively low contents of Al2O3 and TiO2, and extremely low contents of high field strength elements (Hf, Sc, Rb, Th), indicating that no continental debris material was added in the sedimentation process. Ores of both the deep and shallow layering orebodies have left-declined REE distribution patterns, with La and Y positive anomalies and Eu positive anomalies. The ratios of various elements indicate that both layers of orebodies in the Mengjiagou iron deposit are characterized with the dual superposition of seawater and hydrothermal fluids. The lack of negative Ce anomalies indicates that the Mengjiagou iron deposit was formed in an anoxic environment. Results of the comparative analysis of geochemical characteristics of various BIF iron deposits hosted in different metamorphic rocks in the eastern Hebei show that they have consistant source of ore-forming materials.

孟家沟铁矿床位于冀东迁安铁矿北区西矿带孟家沟-北屯-蔡园复向斜褶皱带北端,矿体以平缓开阔的向斜形态赋存于太古宇迁西群三屯营组变质岩中。近年来,随着勘查程度的提高,在孟家沟铁矿床深部发现了第二层铁矿体,为冀东迁安地区铁矿找矿工作开辟了新的找矿空间。但深部铁矿体的研究程度较低,制约了对区域成矿理论的认识。本文通过对孟家沟铁矿床深、浅部矿体地质特征、地球化学特征分析,旨在探讨两层矿体异同之处、判别成矿物质来源及其成矿环境。结果表明,孟家沟深、浅部矿体矿石类型均以辉石磁铁石英岩为主,少量二辉磁铁石英岩,磁铁矿含量相差不大,矿石结构与构造基本相同,但浅部的二辉磁铁石英岩含量略多于深部;浅部矿体赋矿围岩岩性较一致,深部矿体赋矿围岩岩性较复杂。深、浅部矿石的主要化学成分为TFe2O3和SiO2,具较低的Al2O3、TiO2和极低的高场强元素(Hf、Sc、Rb、Th)含量,暗示其沉积作用过程中未有陆缘碎屑物质加入。深、浅部矿石均具左倾稀土配分曲线特征,具La、Y正异常和Eu正异常,各种元素比值表明孟家沟铁矿床两层矿体均具有海水和热液流体双重叠加的特征;Ce负异常的缺乏,表明孟家沟铁矿床形成时为缺氧环境。与冀东地区不同变质程度的BIF铁矿进行地球化学特征对比分析结果显示其成矿物质来源一致。

孟家沟铁矿床位于冀东迁安铁矿北区西矿带孟家沟-北屯-蔡园复向斜褶皱带北端,矿体以平缓开阔的向斜形态赋存于太古宇迁西群三屯营组变质岩中。近年来,随着勘查程度的提高,在孟家沟铁矿床深部发现了第二层铁矿体,为冀东迁安地区铁矿找矿工作开辟了新的找矿空间。但深部铁矿体的研究程度较低,制约了对区域成矿理论的认识。本文通过对孟家沟铁矿床深、浅部矿体地质特征、地球化学特征分析,旨在探讨两层矿体异同之处、判别成矿物质来源及其成矿环境。结果表明,孟家沟深、浅部矿体矿石类型均以辉石磁铁石英岩为主,少量二辉磁铁石英岩,磁铁矿含量相差不大,矿石结构与构造基本相同,但浅部的二辉磁铁石英岩含量略多于深部;浅部矿体赋矿围岩岩性较一致,深部矿体赋矿围岩岩性较复杂。深、浅部矿石的主要化学成分为TFe2O3和SiO2,具较低的Al2O3、TiO2和极低的高场强元素(Hf、Sc、Rb、Th)含量,暗示其沉积作用过程中未有陆缘碎屑物质加入。深、浅部矿石均具左倾稀土配分曲线特征,具La、Y正异常和Eu正异常,各种元素比值表明孟家沟铁矿床两层矿体均具有海水和热液流体双重叠加的特征;Ce负异常的缺乏,表明孟家沟铁矿床形成时为缺氧环境。与冀东地区不同变质程度的BIF铁矿进行地球化学特征对比分析结果显示其成矿物质来源一致。

The Mengjiagou iron deposit is located at the northern end of the Mengjiagou-Beitun-Caiyuan synclinorium fold belt in the western ore belt of the northern Qian′an iron orefield in the eastern Hebei. Its orebodys ocurred in form of the gentle and open syncline in the metamorphic rocks of the Santunying Formation of the Archan Qianxi Group. In recent years, with the improvement of exploration level, a second layer of iron ore body has been discovered in the deep part of the Mengjiagou iron deposit. This leads to the opening up of a new space for prospecting iron ore in the Qian′an area of the eastern Hebei. However, the relatively low research level of iron orebodies in depth of the area restricted the understanding of regional mineralization theory. This article aims to explore the similarities and differences between the deep and shallow orebodies of the Mengjiagou iron deposit, to distinguish the sources of ore-forming materials and their ore-forming environment through the analysis of geological and geochemical characteristics of those two layering orebodies. The results show that ores of both the deep and shallow orebodies in the Mengjiagou iron deposit are mainly pyroxene magnetite quartzite ore, with a small amount of dipyroxene magnetite quartzite ore. They have insignificantly different contents of magnetite and basically same texture and structure. However, the dipyroxne magnetite quartzite ore in the shallow layer contains slightly high content of magnetite relative to the deep layer. The lithology of wallrocks of the shallow layering orebodies is relatively consistent, while that of the deep layering orebodies is relatively complicated. Ores of the deep and shallow layering orebodies contain main chemical composition of TFe2O3 and SiO2, with relatively low contents of Al2O3 and TiO2, and extremely low contents of high field strength elements (Hf, Sc, Rb, Th), indicating that no continental debris material was added in the sedimentation process. Ores of both the deep and shallow layering orebodies have left-declined REE distribution patterns, with La and Y positive anomalies and Eu positive anomalies. The ratios of various elements indicate that both layers of orebodies in the Mengjiagou iron deposit are characterized with the dual superposition of seawater and hydrothermal fluids. The lack of negative Ce anomalies indicates that the Mengjiagou iron deposit was formed in an anoxic environment. Results of the comparative analysis of geochemical characteristics of various BIF iron deposits hosted in different metamorphic rocks in the eastern Hebei show that they have consistant source of ore-forming materials.

条带状铁建造(BIF)主要是指形成于太古宙-早元古代、全铁含量>15%且以富硅质和富铁质条纹、条带交替出现为特征的化学沉积建造[1]。根据其形成条件和含铁建造的不同可分为阿尔戈马型(Algoma-type)和苏必利尔型(Superior-type)[2]。BIF是前寒武纪时期沉积成岩、演化过程中特有产物,记录了地球早期的火山热液活动、大气和海洋的化学成分、氧化还原状态及演化等重要信息[3]。因此,研究BIF铁矿床对于了解当时的地质环境等具有重要意义。我国BIF分布广泛,主要产地有辽宁鞍山−本溪、冀东−密云、山西五台−吕梁、山东鲁西、河南登封−许昌等地[2,4]
冀东地区是我国BIF重要分布区,已知的大-中型矿床有水厂、杏山、马兰庄、孟家沟、彭店子、司家营、马城、长凝等铁矿床(图1)。冀东BIF又以迁安地区铁矿分布最为广泛,大小矿床共计51个[5]。迁安BIF多赋存于由迁安地台隆起形成的向南西突出的“C”字形弧形紧密褶皱带中[6],具有矿床规模较大,有害元素含量低微,易采选等优势。前人在冀东地区开展过年代学、岩石学、矿物学、地球化学特征等研究,认为新太古代(2.6~2.5 Ga)BIF最为发育,规模最大[1,7-10] 。冀东迁安地区(杏山、孟家沟)、滦州地区(司家营)、青龙地区(柞栏杖子)硅铁建造的形成时代分布在2561~2510 Ma之间,并于2518~2469 Ma遭受高级变质作用和混合岩化作用[11-15],铁矿石的物质来源为海水和热液,富矿石可能是后期经过了变质作用构造变形则导致矿层内部磁铁矿的塑性流动,而加剧局部地段的磁铁矿变富[16]。铁矿形成后遭受了变质作用,可能存在多期次的变质改造作用[17]。前人研究成果可以看出,冀东地区不同变质程度铁矿床,均形成于新太古代晚期,该时期地球表层系统贫氧,华北陆块火山及沉积作用强烈,广泛发育麻粒岩相-角闪岩相变质作用,经历了第一期的岩浆-混合演化事件。因此,冀东迁安地区BIF型铁矿的形成与晚太古代海相火山沉积作用、区域变质作用、混合岩化作用密切相关[18]
随着近些年铁矿勘查程度的加深,部分矿床深部发现了第二层铁矿体,为迁安地区开阔了新的找矿空间。但是对近年来发现的第二层矿体并未进行过系统研究,制约了对区域成矿理论和找矿方向的认识。鉴于此,本文以冀东迁安地区孟家沟铁矿床为切入点,结合野外地质调查,开展孟家沟铁矿床深、浅部矿体地质特征、地球化学特征分析,从而厘定矿石成因及物质来源等,通过对孟家沟铁矿床与冀东其他地区(迁安、滦州、青龙)变质程度不同的BIF铁矿床成矿物质来源对比分析,初步对迁安孟家沟铁矿床两层矿体甚至冀东地区BIF铁矿床形成机理进行制约。
克拉通是形成于早前寒武纪并保持长期稳定的古老陆块[19]。古老大陆是由高级区(HGR)和花岗岩-绿岩带(GSB)构成,华北绿岩带曾经受过强烈变质过程,其后期混合岩化也较强,被称为含有BIF表壳岩残片漂浮在花岗岩海上[19,20]。华北克拉通是中国大陆的主要构造单元,其中太古代末至新太古代时期(2.9~2.7 Ga)为华北克拉通大陆地壳的生长高峰期,然后又经历了2期岩浆-混合演化事件(2.5 Ga和2.35~2.2 Ga)[19,21]。华北克拉通大约于2.45 Ga完成了克拉通化,即在新太古代末期完成了华北克拉通化[19,22,23]。冀东大中型铁矿床形成年龄为2.56~2.52 Ga[11,13,15]。说明在华北地区太古代末期初步克拉通化的大地质背景下,冀东地区也不例外,发生了具有全区性的岩浆活动热事件,岩浆活动带来的大量硅、铁成分以及岩浆活动所引起的强烈蚀变、交代、重结晶、混合岩化、挤压变形等成为冀东BIF型矿床形成的重要原因。
冀东地区位于华北克拉通东部陆块的中部。区内出露的地层以太古宇和元古界为主,仅在区域南部及东部出露少量古生界、中生界地层(图1)。区内构造以褶皱和断裂为主,其中褶皱构造为东西向平行展布的马兰峪−建平复背斜、兴隆复向斜和蓟县复向斜;断裂构造主要为太古宙-元古宙-古生代形成的近EW压性、SN张性及NW扭性断裂,以及中生代以来产生的NE-NNE向压扭性断裂。区内岩浆活动强烈,按岩浆侵入活动可分为印支期和燕山期。燕山期达到顶峰,其岩体呈浑圆状、宽带状、长条状侵入太古宇变质岩地层中,产出特征多为岩株和岩基,代表性岩体有高家店岩体、青山口岩体、罗文峪岩体等[24]
孟家沟铁矿床位于迁安铁矿北区西矿带孟家沟−北屯−蔡园倒转向斜带北端(图2a),研究区太古宇、元古界、中生界、新生界地层均有出露[25-27]。太古宇出露的迁西群三屯营组地层分布在研究区中东部,其变质程度具有北高南低特征。岩性以混合岩、麻粒岩、片麻岩、磁铁石英岩为主。元古界出露的长城系地层以角度不整合覆盖于太古宇变质岩之上。该地层主要分布于研究区中部及南西部,地层走向北东,呈条带状分布,厚度较大。岩性以石英砂岩、砂砾岩、页岩、白云岩为主。研究区西部出露地层主要为中生界侏罗系后城组,岩性以砾岩、泥岩及砂岩为主。新生界第四系主要分布在滦河两侧,岩性主要为细砂、粉砂夹砂砾石透镜体及黏土。
迁安地区铁矿多赋存在迁安地台隆起形成的向南西突出的“C”字形弧形褶皱带内。褶皱带中间以横山断裂为界分为南区、北区,南北区又各分为东、西矿带[6]图2a)。在一定温度、压力条件下,区域构造变形驱使成矿物质塑性流动,多在向斜核部富集成矿,因此控矿构造多以向斜为主。研究区内构造发育,按其空间展布分为早期NE、中期EW及晚期NW向三组断裂(图2b)。早期NE向断裂与矿体走向一致,往往对矿体形成很大破坏;中期EW向断裂主要分布在研究区的南部,错断NE向断裂,为横山、罗家屯断裂的次级断裂;晚期NW向断裂切割NE及EW向断裂。研究区内并无岩脉出露。
孟家沟铁矿床具有浅部及深部两层近似于平行的矿体群。浅部矿体群为①号矿带,赋存在0 m标高以上,走向NE35°~40°。矿带受向斜构造影响,其北西翼倾向SE,倾角15°~25°,南东翼倾向NW,倾角35°左右。矿带中矿体走向长度96.54~674.50 m,出露宽度40~570 m,矿体厚度2.16~23.42 m,其中单工程矿体最大厚度105.96 m,品位TFe:25.85%~32.29%,mFe:20.27%~27.36%。深部矿体群均为隐伏矿体,位于浅部矿体群正下约250 m,走向35°~40°,北西翼倾向SE,倾角5°~14°,南东翼倾向NW,倾角10°~20°。(图3
深部矿体群根据其空间赋存部位分为Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ矿带。Ⅰ矿带中矿体长度800~1300 m,厚度14.25~27.95 m,其中单工程矿体最大厚度53.16 m,品位TFe:28.32%~29.40%,mFe:24.58%~25.27%。Ⅱ矿带位于Ⅰ矿带下方,矿体长度600~1400 m,厚度4.22~7.15 m,其中单工程矿体最大厚度15.35 m,品位TFe:26.22%~29.36%,mFe:22.17%~24.04%。Ⅲ矿带位于Ⅰ矿带西侧100 m处,矿体长度100 m,厚度3.56~25.60 m,其中单工程矿体最大厚度56.80 m,品位TFe:31.69%,mFe:27.19%(图3)。
孟家沟铁矿床深、浅部矿体矿石类型均以条带状辉石磁铁石英岩为主,少量二辉磁铁石英岩。辉石磁铁石英岩:黑色-灰黑色,粒状变晶结构,少量半自形-他形粒状结构,条带状、条纹状构造,矿石矿物主要为磁铁矿(25%~35%),少量黄铁矿等;脉石矿物以石英(45%~55%)为主,其次为辉石(10%~25%)。
二辉磁铁石英岩:黑色-灰黑色,粒状变晶结构,少量近半自形-他形粒状结构,条带状、条纹状构造,矿石矿物主要为磁铁矿(30%~38%),少量黄铁矿、褐铁矿、黄铜矿等;脉石矿物以石英(30%~35%)为主,其次为单斜辉石(10%~30%)、紫苏辉石(5%~20%),部分单斜辉石具较低多色性,紫苏辉石显很淡的绿色调-粉色调(图4)。
孟家沟铁矿床深浅部矿体围岩主要为花岗质混合片麻岩、混合岩化角闪黑云斜长片麻岩及黑云片麻状混合岩。花岗质混合片麻岩:肉红色,中细粒变晶结构,弱片麻状构造,矿物成分石英25%、碱性长石55%、斜长石10%,少量黑云母及不透明矿物。石英呈他形粒状,集合体主呈似透镜状聚集,定向分布,具拉长特征;碱性长石呈近半自形板状-他形粒状,主要为微斜长石,轻微高岭土化,镜下可见格子双晶;斜长石呈他形粒状,零散状定向分布,有的与黑云母、暗色矿物等相对聚集状分布。
混合岩化角闪黑云斜长片麻岩:灰黑色,鳞片粒状变晶结构,片麻状构造,矿物成分石英25%、斜长石50%、黑云母15%,少量碱性长石、角闪石及不透明矿物。斜长石、黑云母及角闪石等组成基体,呈条带状聚集定向分布,显柱状鳞片粒状变晶结构、片麻状构造。石英、斜长石及碱性长石等组成脉体,斜长石多见机械双晶。
黑云片麻状混合岩:灰黑色,粒状变晶结构,片麻状构造,矿物成分为石英、碱性长石、斜长石、黑云母等(图5)。黑云母及斜长石集合体主要呈条纹状聚集定向分布组成基体,碱性长石与石英等矿物定向排列组成脉体,碱性长石呈近半自形板状-他形粒状,主要为微斜长石,轻微高岭土化,交代基体矿物。
孟家沟铁矿床深、浅部矿体群均赋存于迁西群三屯营组变质岩中,矿体群由若干个层状、似层状或透镜状矿体组成,两层矿体群近似平行,总体呈北东向展布,其形态为一平缓开阔的向斜。浅部矿体群赋存在0 m标高以上,深部矿体群赋存在–400~–250 m,深、浅部矿体群之间有250 m无矿段。深部矿体群(长度:600~1400 m,厚度:4.22~27.95 m)规模大于浅部矿体群(长度:96.54~674.50 m,厚度:2.16~23.42 m),但品位相差不大,矿体整体有向南西侧伏的趋势(图3)。
孟家沟深、浅部矿石均以辉石磁铁石英岩为主,磁铁矿含量相差不大,矿石结构与构造基本相同,但浅部的二辉磁铁石英岩含量略多于深部。浅部矿体赋矿上下围岩岩性较一致,基本以花岗质混合片麻岩为主。深部矿体赋矿上下围岩岩性较复杂,上围岩以黑云片麻状混合岩为主,而下围岩以花岗质混合片麻岩及混合岩化角闪黑云斜长片麻岩为主。矿体内岩石多为花岗质混合片麻岩(图6)。
本次研究共采集孟家沟深、浅部矿石主微量稀土元素样品12件,其中浅部样品5件、深部样品7件。样品采集按由北向南网格式采取,分别采取了浅部采坑、钻孔以及深部钻孔的矿石样品,保证所采样品新鲜且涵盖整个研究区并具代表性。
矿石主微量稀土元素分析是在河北省区域地质调查院实验室完成,主量元素分析采用荷兰帕纳科公司生产的Axios Max X射线荧光光谱仪(方法代号GB/T 14506.28—2010)来测定岩石中主要氧化物的百分含量,氧化亚铁采用滴定法测定(方法代号GB/T 14506.14—2010),分析精度优于5%。首先将0.6 g试样与4.5 g四硼酸锂、1.0 g偏硼酸锂、0.5 g溴化锂制成的混合溶剂混合均匀;其次加入0.5 g的硝酸铵作为氧化剂,5滴200 g/L的溴化锂溶液作为脱模剂,在自动熔样机中1000 ℃下溶解成液体状,冷却后制成晶体片状备用;最后数据经过灼烧减量校准后获得岩石中各主要氧化物的百分含量。稀土及微量元素采用ICP-MS分析,仪器为美国赛默飞世尔科技公司生产的ICAP-QC电感耦合等离子体质谱仪(方法代号GB/T 14506.30—2010),分析结果采用国家一级标准物质GBW07187(TREO 1.830%)、GBW07188(TREO 4.300%)、GBW07160(TREO 0.486%)、GBW07161(TREO 0.784%)进行监控,分析精度均优于5%。首先准确称取50 mg试料于封闭溶样器中,加入1 mL氢氟酸,0.5 mL浓硝酸,密封;其次在185 ℃±5 ℃烘箱中加热24 h,冷却后置于电热板上加热蒸至近干,再加入0.5 mL 1+1硝酸蒸发近干,重复此步骤一次;最后加入5 mL 1+1硝酸,再次密封后放入烘箱中,130 ℃加热3 h,冷却后将溶液转移至50 mL比色管中,用去离子水稀释,定容至50 mL。此溶液直接用于ICP-MS测定。
孟家沟铁矿床浅部矿石TFe2O3含量32.10%~47.73%,均值为41.11%;SiO2含量45.71%~62.79%,均值为52.48%;Al2O3含量0.35%~0.80%,均值为0.48%;TiO2含量0.01%~0.03%,均值为0.02%;Fe2O3含量20.19%~32.50%,均值为27.52%;FeO含量10.16%~14.30%,均值为12.23%;CaO含量1.10%~4.36%,均值为2.51%;MgO含量1.27%~5.46%,均值为3.68%;大部分样品K2O、Na2O、MnO、P2O5含量<0.1%(表1)。
深部矿石TFe2O3含量41.74%~52.26%,均值为46.54%;SiO2含量43.88%~50.75%,均值为47.88%;Al2O3含量0.16%~0.98%,均值为0.54%;TiO2含量0.01%~0.03%,均值为0.02%;Fe2O3含量18.74%~36.27%,均值为30.69%;FeO含量11.30%~22.63%,均值为14.27%;CaO含量0.35%~3.63%,均值为1.74%;MgO含量1.90%~6.70%,均值为3.24%;大部分样品K2O、Na2O、MnO、 P2O5含量<0.1%(表1)。
孟家沟浅部铁矿石Hf平均含量0.76×10–6,Sc平均含量1.12×10–6,Rb平均含量3.31×10–6,Th平均含量1.34×10–6,Ta平均含量0.89×10–6,Nb平均含量1.38×10–6,Co平均含量1.38×10–6;深部铁矿石Hf平均含量0.62×10–6,Sc平均含量0.86×10–6,Rb平均含量3.09×10–6,Th平均含量1.10×10–6,Ta平均含量0.70×10–6,Nb平均含量1.02×10–6,Co平均含量1.32×10–6。孟家沟铁矿无论深部矿石还是浅部矿石Hf、Sc、Rb、Th元素含量均较低。在微量元素原始地幔标准化蛛网图中(图7a),深、浅部样品均富集大离子亲石元素La、Ce和高场强元素U,与相邻元素相比大离子亲石元素Sr、Nb、Ba明显亏损。
孟家沟深、浅部铁矿石及冀东其他地区铁矿石稀土元素分析结果见表2。由于Y元素的离子半径及化学性质与重稀土元素相近,且在自然环境中有密切共生特征,因此将Y置于重稀土元素Dy与Ho之间一并投图[16]。孟家沟深、浅部矿石稀土元素总量均较低(浅部∑REE值为9.13~27.16×10–6,均值为14.47×10–6;深部∑REE值为6.61~19.42×10–6,均值为13.04×10–6),经页岩(PAAS)标准化后(图7b),两层矿石均呈现轻稀土相对亏损,重稀土相对富集的配分曲线特征(浅部(Pr/Yb)SN均值为0.43,(Sm/Yb)SN均值为0.56;深部(Pr/Yb)SN均值为0.49,(Sm/Yb)SN均值为0.55)。深、浅部矿石具有La正异常(浅部La/La*均值为1.24;深部La/La*均值为1.27),明显的Y正异常(浅部Y/Y*均值为1.44;深部Y/Y*均值为1.45),强烈的Eu正异常(浅部Eu/Eu*均值为3.06;深部Eu/Eu*均值为2.04),无明显的Ce、Pr异常,具较高的Y/Ho值(浅部Y/Ho均值为39.59;深部Y/Ho均值为39.12)。
本次研究显示:孟家沟BIF主要化学成分为TFe2O3和SiO2,其浅部含量90.54%~97.50%,均值为93.59%;深部含量92.48%~96.36%,均值为94.42%;浅部、深部矿石TFe2O3+SiO2含量相近。矿石中含有较少的Al2O3(均值为0.51%)和TiO2(均值为0.02%),说明BIF沉积时陆源碎屑混染程度低。Hf、Sc、Rb、Th等高场强元素常被用来判别陆源碎屑物质的指示[31,36,37]。孟家沟铁矿深、浅部铁矿石中的Hf、Sc、Rb、Th元素与大陆碎屑物质相应元素相比含量极低,说明深、浅部铁矿形成时均未有大陆碎屑物质参与。在 Al2O3-SiO2判别图解中(图8),孟家沟铁矿深部、浅部样品均落入热液区,表明海底热液流体为孟家沟BIF铁矿的形成提供了物质来源。
现代海水的稀土元素以La、Y的正异常和LREE亏损、HREE富集为标志[31,38,39]。海底高温热液的稀土配分模式显示出LREE富集、HREE亏损,且具有明显的Eu正异常特征[30]。孟家沟铁矿石经页岩(PAAS)标准化后呈现稀土配分曲线左倾,LREE亏损、HREE富集的配分曲线特征,且La、Y正异常,Eu正异常(图9),显示出兼具高温热液和现代海水的稀土元素特征,推断孟家沟BIF为两者叠加作用的产物。图中冀东其他地区典型铁矿石(迁安杏山、水厂,滦州司家营、滦南马城,青龙柞栏杖子)[1,31-34]亦呈现出兼具现代海水和高温热液的特征,说明孟家沟铁矿与冀东其他地区不同变质程度铁矿石稀土元素来源一致。
Y与Ho元素因具有相近的离子半径,被认为有相似的地球化学行为,但由于表层络合能力不同,使得Ho在海水中的沉积速率比Y约高两倍[35,43,44],因此Y与Ho比值可以用作判断海水沉积或非海相沉积的依据。球粒陨石与热液流体的Y/Ho值为26~28;现代海水的Y/Ho值>44[30,31,44]。孟家沟铁矿浅部矿石Y/Ho均值为39.59;深部矿石Y/Ho均值为39.12,深、浅部矿石Y/Ho值均介于热液流体与海水之间,进一步说明孟家沟铁矿形成时有热液流体和海水的参与,但Y/Ho值更趋近于现代海水,说明其以海水沉积为主。孟家沟铁矿的Y/Ho值与冀东其他地区典型铁矿床Y/Ho值显示出相似的特征(迁安杏山Y/Ho值介于45.56~46.57[33]、迁安水厂Y/Ho值为29.80[35]、滦州司家营Y/Ho值介于29.21~31.06[31]、滦南马城Y/Ho值介于38.25~42.00[32]、青龙柞栏杖子Y/Ho值为37.20[34])。同样,(La/Yb)SN也可以用来示踪BIFs的成矿物质来源,热液流体的(La/Yb)SN值>1,而海水与热液混合的(La/Yb)SN值<1[31,44]。孟家沟浅部矿石La/Yb值平均0.50、深部矿石La/Yb值平均0.64,深部、浅部比值均<1,进一步说明孟家沟具有海水和热液的特征。
Alexander等建立了高温热液流体和现代海水的二元模型来评估二者相对的混合比例[45]。海水与热液的贡献大小可用Eu/Sm-Y/Ho、Eu/Sm-Sm/Yb、Sm/Yb-Y/Ho图解来判别[46]。将孟家沟比值数据投入该图解中(图10a~c),从Sm/Yb-Y/Ho图解上可以看出,高温热液流体(>350 ℃)的贡献度<1%,而Eu/Sm-Y/Ho和Eu/Sm-Sm/Yb图解上高温热液流体的贡献度均<0.1%。以上三个图解均可以说明孟家沟BIF成矿物质主要来源于海水与高温热液的混合溶液,其中海水的贡献度远大于高温热液,与Y/Ho值所得结论相同。将冀东其他地区不同变质程度铁矿床矿石样品投入到二元模型图中,均落入海水附近[33],因此,孟家沟BIF铁矿与冀东其他地区不同变质程度铁矿具有相似特征,即在沉积过程中,海水的贡献度大于高温热液。考虑到冀东BIF铁矿经历了不同程度的变质作用:麻粒岩相-麻粒角闪岩相(迁安地区)、角闪岩相(滦州、滦南地区)以及绿片岩相(青龙地区),说明变质作用对稀土元素在BIF铁矿中的分配影响较小[30]
BIF稀土元素Ce常被用来指示其沉积时的氧化还原条件,主要基于Ce为氧化还原敏感元素的原理。在氧化的海水中Ce3+易被氧化成Ce4+,Ce4+易水解并被氢氧化物、有机物、黏土等吸附而沉淀,从而导致海水具有强烈的Ce负异常[39,43,47]。然而缺氧的海水缺乏明显的Ce负异常,因此Ce异常通常被用来判别与古海水的氧化还原有关的信息。
由于海水中强烈La正异常,导致Ce异常变得复杂,因此引用Ce/Ce*和 Pr/Pr*的判别图解来更好地说明海水的氧化还原环境[43,4]。将孟家沟铁矿石及冀东其他地区典型铁矿床矿石的Ce/Ce*和Pr/Pr*值分别投在判别图上(图10d),可以看出除孟家沟浅部、深部各1件样品外,其他样品均落在La正异常区域,并未落在Ce负异常区域。浅部Ce/Ce*(0.89~1.09)、Pr/Pr*(0.86~1.03),深部Ce/Ce*(0.87~0.94)、Pr/Pr*(0.96~1.07),大多数样品并不是真正的Ce负异常,表现为明显的缺氧海水环境,再次说明孟家沟铁矿及冀东其他地区典型矿床形成时的古海洋状态为缺氧环境。
1)孟家沟BIF铁矿床深、浅部赋矿围岩并无对应性,两层铁矿体相对独立,总体呈北东向展布,其形态为一平缓开阔的向斜,赋存于迁西群三屯营组变质岩中。
2)孟家沟BIF铁矿床浅部、深部矿体Al2O3和TiO2含量均较低,形成时未有陆缘碎屑物质加入。微量、稀土总量均浅部高于深部,后期混合岩化不均一。稀土元素特征表明孟家沟两层矿体均具有海水和热液双重叠加的特征,海水贡献远大于热液,与冀东地区其他BIF铁矿成矿物质来源一致。
3)孟家沟BIF铁矿床深、浅部矿石Ce/Ce*<1,Pr/Pr*≈1,形成于新太古代晚期的缺氧环境中,Eu正异常显示其形成与火山活动关系密切。
