In response to the performance impact of long cable signal transmission between the search coil and the preamplifier circuit, this paper establishes for the first time a circuit equivalent model of Search Coil-Cable-Preamplifier Circuit. Through simulation analysis and experimental verification, the influence of cable length on the frequency distribution of sensor noise is revealed. Theoretical analysis indicates that cable length has limited impact on sensor sensitivity, but significantly increases the noise level in the high-frequency band (>1 kHz). Based on a prototype search coil magnetometer with a target specification of 10~1000 Hz bandwidth and 30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz) noise, the variation law of noise with cable length is validated. Experimental results show that as the cable length increases from 3 m to 39 m, the noise corner frequency shifts forward from 7.5 kHz to 2 kHz, while the high-frequency noise at 10 kHz increases by a factor of six. The study finds that an increase in cable length has a significant impact on the noise of inductive magnetometers, specifically manifested as a slight improvement in low-frequency noise and a sharp deterioration in high-frequency noise. Although cable length has a notable effect on inductive magnetometers, its influence can be predicted and mitigated through theoretical modeling incorporating cable parameters. This research provides critical parameter basis for the engineering implementation of search coil magnetometers in space exploration scenarios requiring long-cable applications.

针对感应式磁强计线圈与前置放大电路间长电缆信号传输带来的性能影响问题, 首次建立感应线圈–电缆–前置放大电路的电路等效模型, 通过仿真分析与试验验证揭示电缆长度对传感器噪声频率分布的影响规律. 理论分析表明, 电缆对传感器灵敏度影响有限, 高频段(>1 kHz)噪声水平会随着电缆长度的增加而显著提高. 在以10~1000 Hz频带宽度, 30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz) 的噪声水平为目标的感应式磁强计样机基础上, 验证电缆长度变化时噪声的变化规律. 试验结果表明, 电缆长度由0 m增至30 m时, 噪声转折频点由7.5 kHz前移至2 kHz, 同时高频噪声(10 kHz)水平提升6倍. 研究发现, 电缆长度增加对感应式磁强计噪声影响较为显著, 具体表现为低频段噪声略有改善, 高频段噪声急剧恶化, 可以通过包含电缆参数的理论模型进行设计和预测. 本研究为空间探测感应式磁强计在长电缆应用场景下的工程实现提供了关键参数依据.

针对感应式磁强计线圈与前置放大电路间长电缆信号传输带来的性能影响问题, 首次建立感应线圈–电缆–前置放大电路的电路等效模型, 通过仿真分析与试验验证揭示电缆长度对传感器噪声频率分布的影响规律. 理论分析表明, 电缆对传感器灵敏度影响有限, 高频段(>1 kHz)噪声水平会随着电缆长度的增加而显著提高. 在以10~1000 Hz频带宽度, 30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz) 的噪声水平为目标的感应式磁强计样机基础上, 验证电缆长度变化时噪声的变化规律. 试验结果表明, 电缆长度由0 m增至30 m时, 噪声转折频点由7.5 kHz前移至2 kHz, 同时高频噪声(10 kHz)水平提升6倍. 研究发现, 电缆长度增加对感应式磁强计噪声影响较为显著, 具体表现为低频段噪声略有改善, 高频段噪声急剧恶化, 可以通过包含电缆参数的理论模型进行设计和预测. 本研究为空间探测感应式磁强计在长电缆应用场景下的工程实现提供了关键参数依据.

In response to the performance impact of long cable signal transmission between the search coil and the preamplifier circuit, this paper establishes for the first time a circuit equivalent model of Search Coil-Cable-Preamplifier Circuit. Through simulation analysis and experimental verification, the influence of cable length on the frequency distribution of sensor noise is revealed. Theoretical analysis indicates that cable length has limited impact on sensor sensitivity, but significantly increases the noise level in the high-frequency band (>1 kHz). Based on a prototype search coil magnetometer with a target specification of 10~1000 Hz bandwidth and 30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz) noise, the variation law of noise with cable length is validated. Experimental results show that as the cable length increases from 3 m to 39 m, the noise corner frequency shifts forward from 7.5 kHz to 2 kHz, while the high-frequency noise at 10 kHz increases by a factor of six. The study finds that an increase in cable length has a significant impact on the noise of inductive magnetometers, specifically manifested as a slight improvement in low-frequency noise and a sharp deterioration in high-frequency noise. Although cable length has a notable effect on inductive magnetometers, its influence can be predicted and mitigated through theoretical modeling incorporating cable parameters. This research provides critical parameter basis for the engineering implementation of search coil magnetometers in space exploration scenarios requiring long-cable applications.

空间磁场探测一直是开展空间科学研究的主要手段之一, 感应式磁强计(又称搜索线圈, Search Coil Magnetometer, SCM)是测量交流磁场的主要载荷. 该传感器基于法拉第电磁感应定律, 利用高导磁材料对空间磁场变化在线圈中产生的磁通量进行放大, 并对因该变化产生的感应电压信号进行放大处理, 实现对一定频带宽度的交流磁场的精确测量. 这种传感器的灵敏度非常高, 为了避免航天器内部的交流磁扰动干扰空间磁场的测量, 卫星往往通过伸杆将感应式磁强计的线圈探头布设在远离航天器本体的位置.
在许多空间探测任务中, 感应式磁强计被广泛使用, 以探测不同频段的磁场波动. Geotail卫星[1]搭载的感应式磁强计实现了10~12000 Hz频段、噪声水平为20 fT·Hz1/2 (100 Hz)的磁场探测, 安装在6 m的伸杆上; 研究地球磁层的Cluster[2]搭载的感应式磁强计实现了0.1~4000 Hz频段、噪声水平为10 fT·Hz1/2 (1000 Hz)的磁场探测, 安装在5 m的伸杆上; 研究亚暴触发机制和大尺度演化过程的THEMIS[3]卫星搭载的感应式磁强计实现了0.1~4000 Hz频段、噪声水平为22 fT·Hz1/2 (1000 Hz)的磁场探测, 安装在2 m长的铰链伸杆上; 研究地球磁层边界磁重联的MMS[4]卫星搭载的感应式磁强计实现了1~6000 Hz频段、噪声水平为25 fT·Hz1/2 (1000 Hz)的磁场探测, 安装在5 m长的伸杆上; 探测到空间环境中低频电磁波辐射、提出亚暴触发新理论的双星计划[5]搭载的感应式磁强计实现了10~4000 Hz频段的磁场探测, 安装在3.5 m长的伸杆上; 为中国科学家获取第一手近地空间磁场数据的张衡一号卫星[6]搭载的感应式磁强计实现了10~20000 Hz频段、噪声水平为50 fT·Hz1/2 (10 Hz)的磁场探测, 安装在4.5 m的伸杆上. 在空间应用中, 由于空间环境较为恶劣, 信号处理电路和感应式磁传感器探头一般分开部署, 导致信号处理单元和线圈探头之间会用较长的电缆连接. 在一些特殊的应用场合, 比如在行星表面部署感应式磁强计, 电缆的长度可能会达到几十米.
感应式磁强计的性能是由线圈探头和前置放大电路共同决定的, 现有研究多聚焦于线圈和放大电路的设计, 而在常规的电气参数模型中并未考虑二者之间的电缆. 但是随着电缆长度的增加, 其电气特性(例如电阻、电容和电感)均会增大, 这些电气参数对传感器的性能有不可忽视的影响. 特别是在长距离传输或高频带探测场景中, 这些参数对信号的完整性和准确性起着重要作用. 这种影响以往研究尚少. 本文以跨阻抗技术为核心, 根据感应式磁强计的原理及系统设计, 建立理论模型并仿真, 分析电缆长度对传感器性能的影响, 进行噪声测试试验, 进而验证电缆长度对传感器性能的影响.
感应式磁强计的工作原理是法拉第电磁感应定律. 对于横截面积为SN匝线圈, 其感应电压为$ e=-N\mathrm{d}\phi /\mathrm{d}t $, 其中$ \phi $为通过线圈的磁通量. 加入铁磁芯后, 感应电压如下:

其中, $ {\mu }_{\mathrm{app}} $为表观磁导率, B为磁通量密度. 与感应线圈具有相同频率特性的等效电路如图1所示. 电阻、电容和电感值参考Coillot的推导[7].
此时输出电压与磁通密度之间的传递函数可以表示为

可以在给定R, L, C的条件下, 仿真计算不同频率下传递函数(Vout/B)的曲线. 线圈电阻R = 57 Ω, 电感L = 0.37 H, 电容C = 2.96 nF, 则感应线圈的传递函数(灵敏度)如图2所示.
该电路是一个典型的LC谐振电路, 谐振频率由$ 1/(2\text{π} \sqrt{LC}) $决定. 由图2曲线可知, 系统灵敏度在谐振频点处出现较大峰值, 而在谐振点两侧均迅速衰减, 因此该系统不利于进行宽频带探测. 拓宽探测频带的方式有两种: 一种是通过加入反馈绕组抑制谐振峰使传递函数平坦化; 另一种是通过跨阻抗放大器将电流信号转换为电压信号, 以达到拓宽频带的目的. 其中跨阻抗技术在频带宽度的设计、实现以及线束使用方面更具有优势, 本文以跨阻抗前置放大电路为基础设计感应式磁强计, 并进一步讨论线缆长度的影响. 基于跨阻抗前置放大电路的感应式磁强计的基础电路模型如图3所示, 图3(b)标明了噪声引入途径.
通过图3(b)的信号传递模型可以推导出如下传递函数:

其中, N为绕线匝数, S为截面积, $ {R}_{\mathrm{f}} $为反馈电阻, $ {C}_{\mathrm{f}} $为反馈电容. 由式(3)可以看出, 该电路可以等效为一个带通滤波器. 通过图3(b)的信号传递模型还可以推导出如下噪声等效磁感应(Noise Equivalent Magnetic Induction, NEMI)公式:

传感器噪声主要来源为传感器及电缆的电阻热噪声、运算放大器输入电流噪声和输入电压噪声以及反馈电阻热噪声, 输出噪声为这四部分的线性叠加. 具体分析如下.
来自传感器电阻的噪声功率谱密度表示为

感应线圈探头主要包含磁芯、信号线圈、标定线圈、测温电阻、绕线骨架及传感器保护壳, 其结构如图4所示. 按照频带宽度为10~1000 Hz, 噪声水平为30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz)的目标对感应线圈探头进行设计, 根据式(3)和式(4)得到线圈探头参数. 其中磁芯采用高磁导率坡莫合金(1 J85)带叠装而成, 通过热处理实现磁导率的优化. 在线圈结构方面保证磁芯较大的长径比, 以实现更高的名义磁导率, 进一步提高传感器的灵敏度. 为了降低磁芯材料涡流效应的影响, 将多片薄片经过绝缘处理后叠放压制成一根磁芯, 与相同截面积和长度的实心磁棒相比, 此种方式可以显著增加磁芯的有效面积.
结合Coillot理论参数的近似公式, 可以确定感应式磁强计的参数 (见表1). 由设计参数与上述公式, 可以计算并得出频率响应及噪声等效磁感应曲线 (见图5).
图5所示为仿真曲线, 图5(a)为传递函数(灵敏度)曲线, 在10 Hz处, 灵敏度为145.11 dBV·T–1; 10 Hz以上灵敏度随频率的增加而增大; 在100~10000 Hz区间达到平稳, 接近153.6 dBV·T–1, 在该频段内具有较为平稳的灵敏度表现. 图5(b)为相位响应曲线, 在10 Hz时, 相位响应为67.9°, 随着频率升高, 相位响应逐渐下降, 直观反映了频率与相位的对应关系.
磁场信号处理电路主要包括跨阻抗前置放大电路、滤波(低通和带通)电路、多级放大电路、电压跟随器、AD采集及FPGA处理等, 信号处理流程如图6所示. 感应线圈探测磁场波动信号输出模拟信号, 通过跨阻抗前置放大电路简单放大后传输至信号处理单元, 然后通过滤波电路将信号分为两部分: 10~100 Hz为低频部分, 100~10000 Hz为高频部分. 低频输出信号直接进行模数转换(ADC), 而高频输出信号则经过二次放大后通过ADC进行数字化, 最后将处理后的数字信号组包发送.
由灵敏度曲线可知, 感应线圈和跨阻抗前置放大电路共同组成带通信号模式. 本设计采用5 V参考电压、16位串行输出的模数转换器, 为了精准探测出微弱信号, 接收系统的本底噪声水平必须高于AD的最小可检测水平, 这样信号才能在噪声上被精准识别出来. 当模拟信号超过100 Hz时, AD芯片的数字噪声将大于系统的本底噪声, 不能有效分辨信号. 为此采用了分频段的方式来实现全频带的分析与采样: 将整个频段分为两个主要部分, 低频段(10~100 Hz)不放大, 高频段(100~10000 Hz)放大10倍. 通过此种方式, 可以更有效地对不同频段的信号进行分析, 确保信号检测灵敏度满足系统要求, 从而获得更准确的信号特性.
感应线圈探头到前置放大器之间通常使用屏蔽双绞线来传输信号. 图7所示为屏蔽双绞线结构, 其传输方向上任何截面的结构均相同, 可认为其分布参数均匀且不随位置变化.
针对双绞屏蔽线的结构可以建立起其阻抗模型. 如图8(b)所示, R0, R1R2分别为屏蔽层和两根导线的直流电阻, 屏蔽层为等电位面, 因此R0可忽略. 对于双绞线有R1=R2, 双绞线中相邻导线间的磁场相互作用产生电感, 导线与屏蔽层之间存在互感, 即L11L22, 导线与导线之间也存在互感, 即L12. 由于电场作用, 导线与屏蔽层之间存在电容, 即C11C22, 导线与导线之间也存在电容即C12.
由于电缆电感远小于感应线圈电感, 因此电缆电感可以忽略不计. 加入电缆模型后, 感应式磁强计等效电路如图9所示.
对于感应式磁强计, 低频边界频率主要由感应线圈的电阻和电感特性决定, 而高频边界频率则由跨阻抗放大电路的电阻和电容参数决定. 当系统中加入电缆后, 由于电缆的电气特性会对传递函数产生影响. 具体而言, 电缆的加入会导致低频边界频率不断增加, 而高频边界频率保持不变. 理论计算如图10所示, 灵敏度曲线在不同电缆长度下基本保持一致性, 低频段截止频率略有增大但影响不大, 电缆的电气参数对系统的频率响应函数的贡献可以忽略不计.
参考噪声引入途径框图和传感器噪声来源可知, 电缆的引入主要影响放大电路前端的电阻热噪声$ {P}_{\mathrm{R}} $和运算放大器输入电压噪声转换的电流噪声$ {P}_{\mathrm{epA}} $. 更新后的公式分别为

其中, $ {C}_{0}={C}_{11}+{C}_{12}={C}_{12}+{C}_{22} $. 由式(10)和式(11)可知, 电缆主要通过自身电容影响前置放大器的输入电压噪声来改变等效噪声磁感应. 增加电缆长度可以影响其电气特性, 从而改变传递函数和噪声等效磁感应, 理论计算结果如图11所示.
图11理论曲线可见电缆长度的改变对噪声趋势影响不大; 低频段噪声水平随电缆长度增加略有改善; 噪声极值点频率(最小NEMI对应的频率)随着电缆长度的增加显著前移, 从3 m电缆的10 kHz降至39 m电缆的4.5 kHz; 超过噪声极值点的高频段噪声随着电缆长度的增加显著增大, 这一现象归因于电缆分布电容增大导致输入阻抗降低, 使运算放大器输入电压噪声增加, 且该容性随着频率的增加而增大. 因此在设计磁感应式传感器时, 应考虑电缆的影响, 并对电缆长度进行优化, 以最小化系统输入噪声.
为验证理论模型的有效性, 基于10~1000 Hz带宽、30 fT·Hz1/2 (1 kHz) 噪声水平的感应式磁强计原理样机, 对不同电缆长度(3, 14, 39 m)的感应式磁强计进行了噪声测试, 试验所用传感器及测试设备如图12所示.
为了对该传感器性能进行定量评估, 在近零电缆长度情况下进行以下试验测试.
(1) 幅频响应试验. 分为幅值响应(输出电压和输入磁场信号的比值)和相位响应(输出电压相位与输入磁场相位的差值), 通过该测试评估传感器在预定频率范围内的动态响应特性, 如图12(c)所示.
(2) 噪声试验. 在整个频带范围内均具有极低噪声的环境中进行, 测试传感器的噪声底限, 如图12(b)所示.
试验设备部署如图13所示, 频率响应试验使用比例系数已知的无矩线圈, 提供特定频率及强度的磁场; 噪声试验使用隔绝外部磁场的磁屏蔽筒, 其采用高导磁材料制成, 提供稳定的磁场环境. 将感应线圈探头和电子学机箱直接连接, 构成闭合的信号传输链路. 用高精度数据采集系统对放大电路的输出电压进行实时采集.
通过频率响应数据处理算法[8], 对感应式磁强计的试验数据进行处理. 该算法利用正余弦调制准确计算传感器的幅频响应特性. 将处理后的数据与理论结果进行对比分析, 如图14所示. 图14给出了在近零电缆条件下, 磁场强度与感应电压之间的转换关系, 从而验证了传感器的性能与理论模型的一致性.
为了检测电缆长度对交流磁场探测的影响, 包括对磁场幅值、相位的响应以及噪声水平的影响, 进行了频率响应试验和噪声试验. 试验通过改变线缆长度(3, 14, 39 m)来验证长电缆对感应式磁传感器性能的影响.
频率响应试验结果如图15所示. 图15显示, 3, 14, 39 m电缆的灵敏度曲线与相位响应曲线试验值趋势上一致, 其中灵敏度随着频率的增加先增大后趋于平稳, 相位响应则随着频率的增加不断减小, 且在中心频率1 kHz附近为0°. 随着电缆长度的增大, 低频处的灵敏度减小, 相位增大, 与理论计算结果相符合.
通过如图16所示的试验结果可以发现, 随着电缆长度的增加, 低频噪声有所改善, 而高频噪声则呈现出急剧恶化的趋势. 电缆长度变化对感应式磁强计噪声性能的影响呈现出明显的规律性. 随着电缆长度的增加, 低频噪声略有改善, 高频噪声急剧增加. 在10 kHz频段内, 当电缆长度由1 m增大至30 m时, 5 kHz处的NEMI增大了2.15倍, 10 kHz处的NEMI增大了6倍. 同时电缆长度与噪声极值点频率之间存在紧密联系, 随着电缆长度的增加, 磁强计的噪声极值点频率不断前移. 当电缆长度由1 m增加至30 m时, 噪声转折频点由原本的7.5 kHz前移至2 kHz. 因此在长电缆的应用中, 应尽可能分析出噪声等效磁感应的转折频点, 在转折频点内设计, 并使其符合指标.
考虑到电缆模型中电容、电阻和电感的分布式特性, 研究采用了简化模型以便于分析. 但不可避免地引入了模型失真, 这可能是导致仿真结果与试验数据在细节上存在偏差的主要原因. 虽然在具体细节上存在差距, 但仿真分析与试验结果在趋势上保持一致, 并不影响长电缆对传感器整体性能影响的总体评估. 这表明即使在模型简化的情况下, 仍然能够得出关于长电缆对传感器性能影响的有效结论. 本研究为空间探测感应式磁传感器的设计和优化提供了理论基础和试验数据, 有助于设计传感器系统更加精确地选择合适的电缆, 以减少噪声干扰.
现有的研究多聚焦感应线圈与前置放大电路设计, 普遍忽略电缆分布参数效应. 本研究首次将电缆模型引入感应式磁强计电气模型中, 构建了感应线圈–电缆–前置放大电路模型. 通过理论分析和试验验证, 研究了电缆长度对感应式磁强计性能的影响规律, 为长电缆应用场景下传感器的设计提供了全新的理论工具. 这一功能在实际工程应用中具有重要意义, 特别是在未来行星探测任务中, 例如嫦娥八号卫星低频电磁场探测需使用长电缆的情况下, 本研究的模型能够对电缆引入后的噪声特性进行精准预测与参数优化, 弥补了传统设计理论的不足.
试验数据表明, 电缆长度由0 m增至30 m时, 低频段噪声水平略有改善; 超过噪声极值点的高频段噪声随着电缆长度的增加而增大(5 kHz频点处噪声增大2.15倍, 10 kHz频点处噪声增大6倍), 表现出明显的频率依赖性; 噪声转折频点由7.5 kHz前移至2 kHz. 因此在长电缆的应用中, 应尽可能分析出噪声等效磁感应的转折频点, 在转折频点内设计, 并使其符合指标. 此外, 研究发现, 温度变化对电阻影响较大, 但对电容影响不显著, 表明温度在长电缆感应式磁强计应用中的影响相对有限. 不过, 在极端温度环境下, 仍需进一步评估温度对电缆及传感器整体性能的潜在影响, 为特殊环境下的应用提供更全面的保障.
电缆单位长度电容主要受屏蔽双绞线绞扭密度、导线绝缘层厚度及屏蔽层填充物介电常数的影响, 增大绞扭密度、增加导线绝缘层厚度或选用高介电常数的屏蔽层填充物可增大电容; 电缆的电阻主要与导线直径、材质、漆包线厚度等相关, 增大导线截面积或选用低电阻率材料(例如镀银铜线)可降低电阻. 在实际应用中, 应根据任务的目标频段与噪声指标, 利用本研究建立的模型仿真不同电缆参数下的噪声曲线, 在低频噪声改善与高频噪声抑制之间寻求平衡. 同时, 设计时应精确分析噪声等效磁感应的转折频点, 确保传感器主要工作频段位于转折频点内, 从而优化传感器性能.
本研究揭示了电缆对感应式磁强计性能的影响规律, 为空间探测感应式磁强计的设计和优化提供了重要的理论基础和试验数据. 未来研究可在更精确模型构建、不同环境因素综合影响以及新型电缆材料应用等方面展开深入探索, 推动感应式磁强计在空间探测领域的进一步发展.
