The Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass (YSCWM), acting as a distinct physical barrier, forms a stable, low-temperature, high-salinity environment; however, the mechanisms by which it influences the distribution patterns of benthic microeukaryotes and the associated environmental drivers remain poorly understood. In this study, we systematically characterized microeukaryotic communities in sediment samples collected from two stations in the Bohai Sea and fifteen stations located within and surrounding the YSCWM, using environmental DNA (eDNA) sequencing with the 18S rDNA gene as the molecular marker. The results show that Dinoflagellata constituted the dominant taxonomic group both within and outside the YSCWM; however, the microeukaryotic community structures of the two regions differed significantly (ANOSIM: R=0.576 3, P=0.001). Compared with regions outside the YSCWM, communities within the YSCWM exhibited lower species richness (median: 1 529 vs. 1 672) but displayed a more complex co-occurrence network structure (4 062 vs. 3 138 edges), suggesting greater potential ecosystem stability. Deterministic processes, particularly heterogeneous selection, predominantly govern community assembly, in which water depth exerts a stronger influence on communities outside the OYSCWM communities, whereas temperature and median sediment grain size play more critical roles in shaping communities within the YSCWM. These findings demonstrate that the YSCWM plays a critical role in structuring sedimentary microeukaryote communities and highlights environmental DNA (eDNA) technology as an effective approach for elucidating marine microbial biogeographic patterns and evaluating ecosystem structure.

黄海冷水团作为典型的物理屏障, 其内部低温高盐的稳定生境如何塑造底栖真核微生物分布格局尚不明确。基于环境DNA (eDNA)技术, 以18S rDNA基因为分子标记基因对渤海2个站位和黄海冷水团及周边15个站位的沉积物中真核微生物群落进行系统分析。结果表明, 冷水团内外的优势类群均是双鞭毛虫门; 两者的群落结构存在显著差异(ANOSIM: R=0.576 3, P=0.001)。与外部相比, 冷水团内部群落虽然物种丰富度在数值上较低[操作分类单元(operational taxonomic units, OTUs)数量的中位数: 1 529 vs. 1 672], 但具有更复杂的共现网络结构(边数4 062 vs. 3 138), 表明其生态系统可能更具稳定性。确定性过程(异质选择)在群落构建过程中占主导地位, 其中深度对冷水团外部群落的作用更强, 而温度和粒径中值则对冷水团内部群落的影响更为关键。研究结果表明黄海冷水团对沉积物中真核微生物群落具有塑造作用, 显示eDNA技术有望成为解析海洋微型生物地理分布格局和评估生态系统结构的一种有效工具。
