Cu-doped Bi₂WO₆ nanomaterials (Cu/Bi₂WO₆) were prepared by a hydrothermal method. The structures of Cu/Bi₂WO₆ nanomaterials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activities were examined through the photocatalytic reduction of U(VI) under visible light irradiation. The results show that Cu-doped Bi₂WO₆ samples exhibit much higher photocatalytic activity than pure Bi₂WO₆ for reduction of U(VI) under visible light irradiation. It is also revealed that 10% Cu/Bi₂WO₆ sample exhibits the optimum photocatalytic activities in the reduction of U(VI), The enhanced photocatalytic activity of Cu/Bi₂WO₆ materials are attributed to the increased transmission rate and reduced recombination rate of photogenerated electron-hole by Cu doping on BiWO₆. Also, Cu doping reduces the Bi₂WO₆ band gap and expands the response range to visible light, thus improving the activity of Cu/Bi₂WO₆ photocatalyst. Cu doped Bi₂WO₆ materials have considerable potential applications in solar-driven treatment of wastewater with U(VI).

以Cu（NO₃）₂·3H₂O为铜源，采用水热法制备了不同Cu掺杂量的Bi₂WO₆光催化材料，用扫描电镜、X射线衍射、X射线光电子能谱、紫外可见漫反射、电化学阻抗等表征手段对材料进行表征与分析，并以金卤灯为光源，U（VI）为目标污染物，进行光催化还原U（VI）的性能研究。结果表明：与纯Bi₂WO₆相比，Cu/Bi₂WO₆材料具有较高的活性；当Cu掺杂量为10%时，Cu/Bi₂WO₆纳米材料的光催化活性最好，对U（VI）的去除率可达94%左右。Cu/Bi₂WO₆材料光催化活性增强归因于Cu的掺杂提高了光生电子-空穴的传输速率，降低了其复合率；Cu掺杂使Bi₂WO₆带隙变小，扩大对可见光的响应范围，从而提高了Cu/Bi₂WO₆光催化剂的活性。铜掺杂的Bi₂WO₆纳米材料在太阳能驱动处理含U（VI）废水中具有广阔的应用前景。
