Sulfur oxidation characteristics of sulfur oxidizing bacteria under different substrates and the mechanical properties and microstructure of mortar samples were investigated. The growth concentrations of sulfur oxidizing bacteria are different under different substrates, i.e., the corresponding growth concentration decreases from high to low in an order of Na₂S₂O₃, Na₂SO₃ and Na₂S. The natural oxidation and biological oxidation both occur in the transformation of SO₄^2- by the sulfur oxidizing bacteria under different substrates. S₂O₃^2- can be transformed to SO₃^2- through SseA enzyme and then to SO₄^2- through Soe enzyme. The swelling gypsum content of mortar sample under Na₂S₂O₃ substrate is lower than that under Na₂SO₃ substrate. This is because SO₄^2- concentration of natural oxidation of Na₂SO₃ is greater than that of the biological oxidation, thus leading to a higher reaction rate and a stronger corrosion effect. The compressive strength and mass change rate of the mortar samples under Na₂S₂O₃ substrate are 10.4% and 1.04%, respectively. The change rate of compressive strength and mass of the mortar samples under Na₂SO₃ substrate are -12.9% and 1.44%, respectively. Combined with the mineral composition analysis results, it is indicated that the gypsum content of the samples under Na₂S₂O₃ substrate is lower than that of the samples under Na₂SO₃ substrate, while the mortar samples are eventually deteriorated, due to the expansive force of a large amount of gypsum after 75 d and 45 d.

研究了不同底物下硫氧化菌的硫氧化特性及其对砂浆试样的力学性能和微观结构的影响。结果表明：硫氧化菌生长浓度在不同底物环境中表现不同，其生长浓度由高到低所对应的底物分别是Na₂S₂O₃、Na₂SO₃、Na₂S；不同底物下硫氧化菌转化SO_42-的方式均存在自然氧化和生物氧化两种形式。硫氧化菌代谢途径中发现了一种先将S₂O₃^2-经SseA酶转化为SO₃^2-，再经Soe酶转化为SO₄^2-的新途径。砂浆试样在Na₂S₂O₃底物环境中较于Na₂SO₃底物环境中生成膨胀性石膏含量偏低，这是因为与Na₂S₂O₃的生物氧化相比，Na₂SO₃自然氧化的SO₄^2-浓度较高，反应速率较快，腐蚀效果更为显著。处于Na₂S₂O₃底物环境中的砂浆试样抗压强度变化率10.4%、质量变化率1.04%；处于Na₂SO₃底物环境中的砂浆试样抗压强度变化率-12.9%、质量变化率1.44%。Na₂S₂O₃底物环境试样生成石膏的含量低于Na₂SO₃底物环境试样生成石膏的含量，分别在75 d和45 d后由于大量石膏的膨胀力作用下使得砂浆试样最终劣化。
