Malic acid was used as a modifier of foamed magnesium oxysulfate cement (FMOSC). Effect of malic acid on porosity, dry density, compressive strength, softening coefficient and drying shrinkage of FMOSC was investigated. The phase composition, cross-section morphology and elemental composition of FMOSC were studied by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectra and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the addition of malic acid has slight influence on the dry density and porosity of the sample, but the pore size distribution becomes narrow and the drying shrinkage rate reduces. The compressive strength of FMOSC modified with malic acid is twice greater than that without malic acid. It is indicated that malic acid could inhibit the formation of Mg(OH)2 by chelation ability and promote the growth of 517 crystal phase in the form of screw dislocation.

以苹果酸为发泡硫氧镁水泥（FMOSC）改性剂，分析了其对FMOSC孔隙率、干密度、抗压强度、软化系数、干燥收缩率的影响，通过X射线衍射仪、红外光谱仪和扫描电子显微镜，研究苹果酸对FMOSC浆体的物相组成、断面微观形貌以及元素组成的影响。结果表明：苹果酸在基本不影响FMOSC的干密度和孔隙率前提下，抗压强度和软化系数为改性前的2倍多，干燥收缩率显著降低；浆体性能和泡孔结构共同作用影响FMOSC的性能；苹果酸通过螯合作用抑制Mg（OH）2的生成，并促进生成大量517晶相，按照螺旋错位的方式生长。通过FMOSC孔径分布和泡孔微观形貌研究发现，苹果酸的添加使得泡孔孔径分布范围变窄，结构致密且在泡壁上生成大量517晶相。

以苹果酸为发泡硫氧镁水泥（FMOSC）改性剂，分析了其对FMOSC孔隙率、干密度、抗压强度、软化系数、干燥收缩率的影响，通过X射线衍射仪、红外光谱仪和扫描电子显微镜，研究苹果酸对FMOSC浆体的物相组成、断面微观形貌以及元素组成的影响。结果表明：苹果酸在基本不影响FMOSC的干密度和孔隙率前提下，抗压强度和软化系数为改性前的2倍多，干燥收缩率显著降低；浆体性能和泡孔结构共同作用影响FMOSC的性能；苹果酸通过螯合作用抑制Mg（OH）2的生成，并促进生成大量517晶相，按照螺旋错位的方式生长。通过FMOSC孔径分布和泡孔微观形貌研究发现，苹果酸的添加使得泡孔孔径分布范围变窄，结构致密且在泡壁上生成大量517晶相。

Malic acid was used as a modifier of foamed magnesium oxysulfate cement (FMOSC). Effect of malic acid on porosity, dry density, compressive strength, softening coefficient and drying shrinkage of FMOSC was investigated. The phase composition, cross-section morphology and elemental composition of FMOSC were studied by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectra and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the addition of malic acid has slight influence on the dry density and porosity of the sample, but the pore size distribution becomes narrow and the drying shrinkage rate reduces. The compressive strength of FMOSC modified with malic acid is twice greater than that without malic acid. It is indicated that malic acid could inhibit the formation of Mg(OH)2 by chelation ability and promote the growth of 517 crystal phase in the form of screw dislocation.
