Different amounts of LiCoO₂ from waste lithium-ion batteries were dissolved in nitrite acid and the recovered Li and Co were used to modify Na_0.67Fe0_.5Mn_0.5O₂ cathode by a sol-gel method. Based on the results by X-ray diffraction, Li⁺/Co³⁺ ions were doped into Na_0.67Fe0_.5Mn_0.5O₂, with the smaller lattice parameters. The results by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy show that the doping of Li/Co ions leads to the conversion of Mn³⁺ ions to Mn⁴⁺ ions, resulting in the less Jahn teller effect. The results by electrochemical tests indicate that the cycle stability and rate performance of the modified Na_0.67Fe0_.5Mn_0.5O₂ improve due to LiCoO₂ modification. The sample with x of 0.105 (i.e., Na_0.53Li_0.105Co_0.105(Fe_0.5Mn_0.5)_0.79O₂) possesses a capacity retention of 67% after 150 cycles at a current density of 1 C, and a specific capacity is 30 mA·h/g at 5 C.

以废旧锂电池中的LiCoO₂正极材料为原料，通过溶解回收其中的Li、Co元素并用于Na_0.67Fe_0.5Mn_0.5O₂的改性，成功制备出钠离子电池正极材料Na_0.67-1.33xLi_xCo_x（Fe_0.5Mn_0.5）_1-2xO₂（x=0、0.035、0.070、0.105、0.140）。X射线衍射（XRD）结果显示，Li⁺/Co³⁺可以掺杂到P2-Na_0.67Fe_0.5Mn_0.5O₂中形成固溶体，伴随着晶胞参数的变小。X射线光电子能谱（XPS）结果显示Li⁺/Co³⁺的掺杂会导致部分Mn³⁺被氧化为Mn⁴⁺，降低了Jahn-Teller效应的影响。电化学测试表明，与原始样相比，改性后的Na_0.67Fe_0.5Mn_0.5O₂容量有一定下降，但循环稳定性和倍率性能都有所提高。当掺杂量为0.105时，Na_0.53Li_0.105Co_0.105（Fe_0.5Mn_0.5）_0.79O₂电化学性能最好，1 C电流密度时，150圈循环后的容量保持率达到67%，5 C电流密度时的容量可以达到30 mA·h/g。
