A SiO@TiO₂/C composite was synthesized by a sol-gel method and a subsequent high-temperature solid-phase method. The results show that SiO@TiO₂/C material exhibits an excellent cycling and rating performance due to the promotion of TiO₂ on the interface stability and lithium-ion diffusion process. A high specific capacity of 710 mA·h/g is achieved after 150 cycles at a current density of 1 A/g, and the reversible capacity is 430 mA·h/g at a high current density of 4 A/g.
