The construction of navigation star list is an important task in the design stage of star sensor system. Because the interferometric star sensor only retains part of the interference order, the energy of the image point is low. The spectral component divides a beam of starlight into multiple image points,the energy of the image points is further weakened,and the pixel space occupied by the image points formed by multiple image points becomes larger,resulting in the inability to distinguish the adjacent star points that are too close. In order to establish the star list suitable for interferometric star sensor,by setting the threshold of angular distance,the list is screened for the first time,and dark stars,variable stars and binary stars with too close angular distance are excluded. In order to ensure the uniformity of the catalog,Fibonacci grid points are used as spher ical reference points,and the secondary screening of the catalog is carried out based on the reference points. The result shows that the number of stars is small and the uniformity is good,which can meet the demand of interferometric star sensor.

导航星表构建是星敏感器系统设计阶段的重要工作。干涉式星敏感器基于莫尔条纹的相位测量入射角,只保留了部分干涉级次,导致了像点能量低;分光组件将一束星光分割成多个像点,像点能量进一步减弱,同时多个像点形成的像点组占据的像素空间变大,导致相邻过近的星点无法分辨。为了建立适用于干涉式星敏感器的星表,通过设定角距阈值进行星表初次筛选,剔除暗星、变星以及角距太近的双星;为了保证星表分布的均匀性,采用斐波那契网格点作为球面基准点,依托基准点进行星表二次筛选。最终得到的星表数量较少,且均匀性较好,可以满足干涉式星敏感器需求。

导航星表构建是星敏感器系统设计阶段的重要工作。干涉式星敏感器基于莫尔条纹的相位测量入射角,只保留了部分干涉级次,导致了像点能量低;分光组件将一束星光分割成多个像点,像点能量进一步减弱,同时多个像点形成的像点组占据的像素空间变大,导致相邻过近的星点无法分辨。为了建立适用于干涉式星敏感器的星表,通过设定角距阈值进行星表初次筛选,剔除暗星、变星以及角距太近的双星;为了保证星表分布的均匀性,采用斐波那契网格点作为球面基准点,依托基准点进行星表二次筛选。最终得到的星表数量较少,且均匀性较好,可以满足干涉式星敏感器需求。

The construction of navigation star list is an important task in the design stage of star sensor system. Because the interferometric star sensor only retains part of the interference order, the energy of the image point is low. The spectral component divides a beam of starlight into multiple image points,the energy of the image points is further weakened,and the pixel space occupied by the image points formed by multiple image points becomes larger,resulting in the inability to distinguish the adjacent star points that are too close. In order to establish the star list suitable for interferometric star sensor,by setting the threshold of angular distance,the list is screened for the first time,and dark stars,variable stars and binary stars with too close angular distance are excluded. In order to ensure the uniformity of the catalog,Fibonacci grid points are used as spher ical reference points,and the secondary screening of the catalog is carried out based on the reference points. The result shows that the number of stars is small and the uniformity is good,which can meet the demand of interferometric star sensor.

导航星库是装载于星敏感器的存储器内,用于和观测星相匹配的恒星星表。它是星敏感器进行星图识别和姿态测量的基础,不仅为星图识别提供匹配模板,也为航天器姿态计算提供参考矢量。导航星库的规模和导航星在全天球的分布,是影响星图识别速度和识别成功率的关键因素。导航星库通常是从天文星表中获得,一般的天文星表都包含大量的恒星,不适合直接使用,需要通过导航星库制作方法优选导航星,实现导航星数量少和空间均匀分布。现有的导航星库制作方法主要有星等阈值过滤方法、星等加权方法、回归选取方法等[1-3]。导航星库对于星图识别的成功率有重要的影响,导航星的数量和分布直接影响星敏感器的数据存储量、识别速度和可靠性以及姿态计算精度,因此构建合理的导航星表是星敏感器设计阶段的重要工作。
导航星的选择方法众多,传统的方法有星等阈值法,即设定一个阈值,选取亮度高于该阈值的星作为导航星,该方法计算简单,但星库容易过大。还有星等加权方法和回归选取法等。Vedder[4]指出提高导航星分布的均匀性可以在不降低星敏感器性能的同时减少导航星表的数据存储量,是提高导航星表性能的方法之一。Kim等[5]提出了一种自组织导航星选择方法,以满足任意光轴指向视场内导航星数量大于一定值为前提,根据恒星亮度以及恒星间的相互位置关系,逐颗挑选导航星。该方法挑选的导航星分布比较均匀,但过程复杂且速度较慢。Prakash等[6]提出了一种基于球面螺旋点构建导航星表的方法,利用球面螺旋点具有球面近似均匀分布的特性,以球面螺旋点作为导航星的期望位置,选取距离其最近的恒星作为导航星,使得导航星的分布非常均匀且筛选星速度较快。陈聪等[7]为提高导航星的平均亮度,提出了距离—星等加权概念,综合考虑了恒星到基准点的距离和恒星自身的亮度两个指标,在确保导航星分布均匀的条件下使选取的导航星更便于观测。崔祥祥等[8]基于球面螺旋基准点的导航星筛选方法,通过增选部分关键恒星来达到减少星表空洞的目的,得到的星表均匀性较好,导航星数量少。选取每一个采样视场中亮度靠前的恒星作为导航星,构建的导航星表规模小,但是部分天区存在“空洞”,导致导航星在全天球分布不均匀。
干涉式星敏感器成像原理和角距计算原理与传统星敏感器有所不同,具有能量低、像点组占据空间大等特点,采用传统的星表设计方法不适用于干涉星敏感器的情况,本文对原始星表做初次筛选,剔除暗星、变星和不符合角距阈值的星,再基于球面基准点搜索可用星点,提升星表的均匀性。
干涉式星敏感器与传统星敏感器不同,其通过干涉组件产生莫尔条纹,再通过分光组件计算莫尔条纹相位,达到突破精度上限的目的。
干涉式星敏感器的结构如图1所示,星光通过第1个光栅时会产生多级衍射光,产生的±1级衍射光通过第2个光栅时,又将产生多级衍射光。干涉星敏感器主要利用两束衍射光形成莫尔条纹,一束是利用光栅1衍射的+1级光经过光栅2后再次衍射产生的-1级光(以下简称+1/-1衍射光),另一束是利用光栅1衍射的-1级光经过光栅2后再次衍射产生的+1级光(以下简称-1/+ 1衍射光)。光栅对产生的+1/-1衍射光和-1/+1衍射光相互平行并且都与光轴平行。第2个光栅以光轴为转轴,旋转一个很小的角度,这就在光栅对之间引入一个旋转角,并且第2个光栅放置在第1个光栅的泰伯距离处,从而产生莫尔条纹。莫尔条纹相位与入射光的角度存在一一对应关系,而干涉星敏感器可以精确测量莫尔条纹相位,从而实现对目标光入射角的精确测量[9]
根据光栅的衍射理论,非0级衍射级次存在色散,影响像点质心定位,为了保证星点提取的准确性,只考虑+1/-1衍射光和-1/+1衍射光干涉形成的条纹。
从原理来说,干涉式星敏感器在选取导航星时主要面临两个问题:1)光学系统只利用±1级衍射光产生莫尔条纹,而其他级次的衍射光占据了星光的大部分能量,经过两块光栅后星光能量大幅降低;2)为了计算莫尔条纹相位,分光组件会将区域上的莫尔条纹分割为4个区域,分别偏转形成4个像点,4个像点形成一个“像点组”,“像点组”占据的像素空间大于传统的星点。
干涉式星敏感器需要通过两块光栅形成莫尔条纹,两块光栅都只保留±1级衍射光,导致能量大幅减弱,下面分析能量减弱带来的星等变化。根据光栅的衍射效率理论,光栅各级衍射光能量占比受光栅周期、槽深、入射光波长等因素的影响,1级衍射光的能量占比最高能到15.17%左右。经过两层光栅后,能量仅剩2.25%左右。
星等计算方式如式(1)所示
其中:m1为选取的基准星,E1为基准星光度;m2为待计算的星等,E2为该星光度。
以基准星为0等星时,当待计算星光能量仅剩2.25%时,星等升高大约4等,对星点提取极为不利。并且,干涉式星敏感器的像点能量会进一步分割成4个像点,其中4个像点的能量可由式(2)表示
其中,In为第n块光楔对应的像点能量,Ia为背景光强,φ为光场相位。由公式可知,4个像点能量之间有π/2的相位差,4个像点光强和入射角之间存在余弦函数关系,如图3所示。
在某些入射角度下,某些情况下会有一到两个像点的能量极其微弱甚至为0,仿真情况如图4所示。
干涉式星敏感器相位提取的原理如式(3)所示
由式(3)可知,要想精确计算出光场相位,需要获得4个像点的能量。当提取到至少3个像点时,可根据像点之间相位差关系解算第4个像点的强度,虽然与实际值有一定偏差,但依然可以获得相对可靠的结果,所以需要至少提取到3个像点才能计算相位。某些角度下有2个像点都极为暗弱,只能提取到2个像点,无法根据像点组计算入射角,不利于星点提取,所以需要引入能量增强技术。
电子轰击技术是有效的探测器能量增强技术,该技术在CMOS探测器上早有应用,形成了EBCMOS探测器,EBCMOS是一种真空固体混合型的微光成像传感器技术。其主要结构包括光阴极、真空腔体、背部减薄CMOS器件及读出电路。工作过程是:光子入射GaAs光阴极产生的光电子被阴极和CMOS阳极之间的真空高压电场加速,光电子获得能量后轰击背部减薄CMOS器件,产生倍增,由读出电路直接成像。该种探测器理论最高可以达到300倍的能量增益,可以弥补干涉式星敏感器的能量损失,更适合干涉式星敏感器的低能量星点[10]
分光组件将干涉条纹分割为4个像点,形成像点组,由于计算莫尔条纹相位移动量需要得到4个像点的能量,所以在星点提取时需要进行星点关联,将4个星点按照已知的分光方向关联成一个像点组。但是由于像点组占据的像素范围将增大,使得一些在传统星敏感器单星点模式下可以分辨的2个星点变得难以分辨,如图5所示,当采取1°偏转角时,原本容易分辨的两个星点变得难以分辨。
为避免上述问题,应在保证能分开4个像点的前提下,尽可能缩小分光组件的偏转角,使像点组占据的像素范围较小。通常的星敏感器星点大小在5×5像素范围内,为了确保4个像素点可以区分开,可取像素点平移距离大约为10个像素。则分光组件偏转角η应满足以下公式
其中,lpixel为像素点宽度,f为成像镜组焦距。
取常见的像素宽度为9μm,根据干涉式星敏感器需求取焦距为100mm,则可取光楔偏转角为0.05°,可保证在完全分开像点的前提下,像素范围尽可能小。
由于电子轰击增益弥补了星点的低能量,可将筛选星的星等阈值降低一等,从0~7等星中选取导航星。为了避免出现空洞现象,要尽量保证导航星的均匀分布,可在球面上选取近似均匀分布的n个点作为基准点,在基准点周围搜索导航星。在制作导航星库之前,需要进行初次筛选。
首先应对原始星表做初次筛选,剔除双星、暗星、角距太近的星。
1)采用星等阈值过滤方法,根据干涉式星敏感器光学系统的敏感能力,配合电子轰击技术的能量增益,设定星等阈值Mvth =7,将星等大于Mvth的恒星从原始星表中剔除。
2)星敏感器使用一个n×n像素大小的波门图像来探测星点,结合干涉式星敏感器像点组大小,为了保证两个“像点组”可以区分,当星敏感器视场为τ度圆形视场,探测器像素大小为Npix ×Npix时,可得像点角距阈值Dth
若两颗恒星角距小于阈值,则干涉式星敏感器难以按分光关系关联像点组,所以剔除其中较暗的一颗。
3)原始星表中包含一部分变星,这些恒星并不是完全稳定的,部分恒星的星等变化范围较大,对星点提取不利。根据星等变化范围可将变星分为最稳定星、较稳定星(星等变化小于0.06)、次稳定星(星等变化在0.06~0.6之间)、不稳定星(星等变化大于0.6)。为了确保恒星能被星敏感器探测到,需要剔除基础星表中的不稳定恒星和次稳定星中星等大于Mvth的恒星。
经过初次筛选后已经基本剔除不利于星敏感器的恒星,得到了初步的星库,但星库规模依然较大,需要在初次筛选后的星库进一步筛选,得到规模合适的导航星库。采取球面均匀分布点作为搜索导航星的基准点,保证导航星在全天球均匀分布,避免出现“空洞”现象。为了获取均匀的球面基准点,采用González提出的斐波那契网格获取在单位球面上均匀分布的点,当需要获取N个点时,第n个点的坐标可由如下公式组确定[11]
式中,ρ为黄金分割比,即
1)根据星敏感器视场大小和单视场期望星颗数,确定球面螺旋基准点个数N
2)根据斐波那契网格坐标公式,求解球面基准点坐标。
3)计算两个基准点之间距离,定义该距离的一半为r,分别以各面螺旋基准点为圆心,以r为半径找到相应区域内的恒星,其中距离圆心最近的恒星被选为导航星。重复上述过程。
为了验证以上算法的可行性,将会采用星表均匀性分布和星敏感器光轴随机指向下探测到导航星的频率两个指标进行验证。常见原始星表的基本特性如表1所示。
由于依巴谷(Hipparcos)星表星数较多且精度较高,采用上海天文台发布的依巴谷星表作为原始星表。干涉式星敏感器视场采用15°方形视场。在导航星均匀分布的情况下,如果期望单个视场内至少出现8颗星,则期望的导航星数量至少为4200颗。选取球面基准点数量N为5000,选取导航星筛选星等阈值Mvth=7,根据星等阈值方法进行初次筛选,得到星表,恒星总数15398个。再根据以上算法生成导航星表,得到导航星4720颗,最终导航星表星等区间为(-1.1,6.9),亮度较高。进行20000次随机光轴指向模拟测试,统计不同视场下星敏感器可以观测到的导航星数量,其概率统计结果如图6所示。
统计结果表明,15°视场下,平均可探测到16颗星,其中探测到3颗星以上的概率为98.31%,探测到9颗星以上的概率为86.15%,探测到15颗星以上的概率为57.30%。
Vedder提出的星表全局均匀性评价构建如下,对于N个单位球面上的点,将该N个点对应的直角坐标系下的单位向量排列为N× 3大小的矩阵A,则矩阵ATA具有3个非负实数特征值,则均匀性指标σ如下
其中,δi为矩阵ATA的第i个特征值。
根据式(7)星表全局均匀性评价方法对得到的星表进行评价,本算法得到的最终星表均匀性指标为0.1398,均匀性指标较小,说明星表均匀性较好,且算法得到的星表数量较少,对星敏感器的负担更小。
导航星表是星敏感器软件系统的重要组成部分,构建合理的导航星表是星敏感器设计阶段的重要工作,本文分析了干涉式星敏感器的特性与相位提取的条件,总结了干涉式星敏感器像点能量低、像点能量随入射角变化以及“像点组”占据像素面积大的问题。提出了使用电子轰击技术来增益像点能量的方法,理论上最大可以达到300倍的能量增益,可以弥补干涉式星敏感器能量暗弱的问题;在初次筛选中根据角距阈值剔除角距太小的双星,避免像点组交叉重叠。再选取球面基准点进行第二次筛选,最后得到的星表数量相对较少,均匀性好,星等区间较高。在15°视场下能较大概率探测到3颗星以上,能满足干涉式星敏感器导航的需求。
