Aimed at the problem that the traditional control methods are difficult to achieve soft-switching in a wide load range due to the limitation of resonant inductor volume and duty cycle loss in phase-shifted full-bridge converters, a hybrid control method based on peak current and Burst mode is proposed. The output voltage is stabilized to a reference value by adjusting the Burst duty cycle, and the phase shift angle is changed to maintain the minimum primary current so as to realize the lagging bridge arm zero voltage switching. A simulation platform was built for the proposed control method, and a 250 W prototype was developed. The hybrid control of a phase-shifted full-bridge converter was realized through a digital signal processor, and the feasibility of the control method was verified by simulation and experimental results.

针对移相全桥变换器因谐振电感体积和占空比损失的限制,传统控制方法难以在宽负载范围内实现软开关的问题,采用1种基于峰值电流与突发模式的混合控制方法。通过调整突发占空比稳定输出电压到参考值,改变移相角保证原边有足够大的电流实现滞后桥臂开关管的零电压开通。对所采用的控制方式搭建仿真平台,并研制1台240 W样机,通过数字信号处理器实现移相全桥变换器混合控制,通过仿真和实验验证控制方法的可行性。

针对移相全桥变换器因谐振电感体积和占空比损失的限制,传统控制方法难以在宽负载范围内实现软开关的问题,采用1种基于峰值电流与突发模式的混合控制方法。通过调整突发占空比稳定输出电压到参考值,改变移相角保证原边有足够大的电流实现滞后桥臂开关管的零电压开通。对所采用的控制方式搭建仿真平台,并研制1台240 W样机,通过数字信号处理器实现移相全桥变换器混合控制,通过仿真和实验验证控制方法的可行性。

Aimed at the problem that the traditional control methods are difficult to achieve soft-switching in a wide load range due to the limitation of resonant inductor volume and duty cycle loss in phase-shifted full-bridge converters, a hybrid control method based on peak current and Burst mode is proposed. The output voltage is stabilized to a reference value by adjusting the Burst duty cycle, and the phase shift angle is changed to maintain the minimum primary current so as to realize the lagging bridge arm zero voltage switching. A simulation platform was built for the proposed control method, and a 250 W prototype was developed. The hybrid control of a phase-shifted full-bridge converter was realized through a digital signal processor, and the feasibility of the control method was verified by simulation and experimental results.

随着电动汽车市场的扩大和成熟,世界各国对电动汽车的相关性能指标提出了更严苛的要求。作为能量供给系统重要组成部分的充电桩(开关电源)的性能,直接影响汽车电池的寿命和工作性能。随着电力电子技术的快速发展,现代电动汽车行业对开关电源提出了高开关频率、高功率转化率、高稳定性、低损耗等要求[1]
移相全桥变换器具有较宽的电压调节范围,控制简单,其软开关可以利用变压器的漏感和开关管的寄生电容实现,无需额外增加器件,也无需复杂的参数设计。此外,在实现软开关的同时,未额外增加开关器件的应力。因此,移相全桥变换器被广泛应用于电动汽车充电机、车载功率变换模块等中大功率场合[2-3]。但传统的移相全桥变换器也存在不足,由于其需要依靠变压器一次侧漏感或谐振电感实现滞后臂开关管的零电压开关ZVS(zero voltage switching),当负载较轻时由于一次侧谐振电感比较小,储存的能量较少,ZVS将无法实现,而增大电感又会导致较大的占空比丢失造成增益范围减小。同时,轻载时有效占空比小,循环阶段的时间长也会使得变换器的轻载效率降低。因此,研究如何在不造成较大占空比丢失的前提下实现宽负载范围的ZVS具有重要意义。
文献[4]通过将一次侧谐振电感替换为饱和电感来提升软开关范围。饱和电感是1种磁滞回线矩形比较高、起始磁导率高,具有明显磁饱和点的电感。随着流过其中电流的增大,饱和电感的电感量会由于电感饱和而逐渐减小。通过使用饱和电感作为谐振电感,可以在负载减轻时增大谐振电感,从而实现变换器轻载条件下的ZVS。但电感饱和时发热严重,造成的损耗也比较大[5]。文献[6]在传统全桥变换器的基础上,加入了辅助电感和2个辅助开关管来增大软开关范围。当滞后桥臂开通时,辅助电感中的电流会和主电路中的谐振电感电流一同流入滞后桥臂的中点,同时增大了电感和谐振电流,拓宽了轻载软开关范围。由于辅助电感并不参与一次侧向二次侧的能量传递过程,所以不会造成占空比丢失的加剧。但由于其额外增加了2个开关管,需要额外驱动电路,进而增加了拓扑的复杂度及成本。文献[7]在上述拓扑的基础上将开关管替换为电容,降低了控制的复杂度,也无需额外的驱动电路。该拓扑通过辅助电容与辅助电感谐振,使辅助电感中的电流在滞后臂开关管关断期间逐渐增大,当滞后臂开关管开通时,辅助电感内的电流与一次侧电流一同实现滞后臂的ZVS。文献[6-7]给出的拓扑在不同负载条件下所提供的辅助电流大小恒定,增大了开关管的电流应力。此外,文献[8-11]通过在滞后臂下开关管并联LLC谐振电路为滞后臂的ZVS提供能量,将LLC谐振变换器的谐振点设置为移相全桥开关频率,使其一直工作在增益为1且效率最高的状态。这类混合拓扑通过改变移相全桥有效占空比来调节电压增益,LLC结构作为辅助部分产生额外的电流流入滞后桥臂,实现原边开关管的软开关。文献[12]通过减小变压器励磁电感,在一定程度上增大了励磁电流,从而获得较大的原边电流,保证谐振电感中有足够的能量来实现滞后臂的ZVS,然后根据负载大小来改变死区时间保证软开关的实现。文献[13]采用二次侧移相的控制方式,可以保证在不同负载时即使有效占空比不同,变压器励磁电流也保持不变,如果设置足够的死区时间,轻载时就可以依靠励磁电流的能量实现软开关。
本文基于移相全桥变换器,采用1种基于峰值电流与突发模式的混合控制策略,在轻载时通过峰值电流控制保证实现软开关所需的最小电流,通过改变突发占空比实现输出电压的稳定。这种混合控制策略,可以不引入辅助网络,仅通过控制方式来实现轻载条件下的软开关,从而提升轻载效率。
移相全桥变换器拓扑如图1所示。
变换器1个周期内各模态的关键波形如图2所示。由于已有大量文献对传统移相全桥变换器的工作模态进行了详细分析,在此不再赘述,仅简要分析变换器两桥臂ZVS实现的过程。
移相全桥变换器超前桥臂与滞后桥臂实现ZVS的过程分别发生在图2所示的$\left[{t}_{1},{t}_{2}\right]$阶段和$\left[{t}_{3},{t}_{\text{4a}}\right]$阶段。移相全桥变换器在这2个阶段的工作模态如图3所示。
$\left[{t}_{1},{t}_{2}\right]$阶段:${t}_{1}$时刻,开关管${\text{Q}}_{\text{1}}$关断,一次侧停止向二次侧传递能量,此时一次侧电流达到峰值${I}_{1}$,其大小为

式中:Io为输出电流平均值;ΔIo为输出电流纹波的1/2;N为变压器匝比。
此时,一次侧电流开始为开关管寄生电容${C}_{1}$充电、电容${C}_{4}$放电,变压器两端电压${V}_{\text{ab}}$线性下降,但仍为正值,二次侧处于整流状态。该过程等效为电容${C}_{1}、{C}_{4}$与等效电感发生串联谐振,等效电感为一次侧谐振电感与二次侧输出滤波电感串联。由于输出滤波电感经变压器折算到一次侧的电感较大,此阶段内可认为一次侧电流大小近似不变,可等效为恒定电流${I}_{1}$为电容${C}_{1}、{C}_{4}$充、放电。假设所有开关管寄生电容大小相等,即${C}_{1}={C}_{2}={C}_{3}={C}_{4}={C}_{\text{oss}}$,此时电容${C}_{1}、{C}_{4}$两端电压分别为

为实现开关管ZVS,在此阶段需使电容${C}_{1}$两端电压上升至输入电压,电容${C}_{4}$两端电压下降至0,即需满足

由式(4)和式(8)可以看出,由于超前桥臂ZVS过程有电感较大的输出电感参与,故可以较为容易地实现ZVS,但滞后桥臂ZVS过程仅由电感较小的谐振电感完成,由于轻载条件下一次侧电流较小,导致其ZVS难以实现。
在DC-DC变换器的诸多控制方式中,峰值电流控制由于输入瞬态响应快、增益带宽大等优点被广泛应用。Burst模式是1种提高变换器轻载效率的有效控制方式,但相比于峰值电流控制,Burst模式会导致变换器电流应力显著增大,因此其大多仅应用于变换器轻载或空载条件下。Burst模式的工作原理如图4所示,图中:${i}_{L}$为电感电流;${P}_{\text{out}}$为变换器实际输出功率;${P}_{\text{full}}$为变换器满载输出功率。
Burst模式有Burst-on和Burst-off这2种状态。在Burst-on状态下,驱动输出满占空比,变换器所提供的能量大于负载所需要的能量,输出电压升高;Burst-off状态下,驱动关闭,占空比为0,此时变换器输出功率为0,负载从输出滤波电容和滤波电感获取能量,输出电压降低。通过控制Burst模式占空比${D}_{\text{burst}}$改变平均输出功率,即可控制输出电压,此时变换器的功率平衡关系为

式中:${P}_{\text{ave}}$为变换器在1个Burst模式周期内的平均输出功率;k为变换器以一定占空比运行时输出功率相对于满载输出功率的百分比。
单独采用峰值电流移相控制和Burst控制均存在不足:单独采用峰值电流移相控制,轻载时由于一次侧谐振电感流过的电流较小,无法实现开关管的ZVS;单独采用Burst控制,会造成较大的电流应力。将二者结合,采用混合控制的方式可以有效解决2种控制方式存在的问题,混合控制策略逻辑如图5所示。图中:${V}_{\text{ref}}$为输出电压参考值;${V}_{\text{error}}$为误差值;${V}_{\text{o}}$为输出电压;${I}_{\text{c}}$为PWM比较参考值;${I}_{{L}_{\text{k}}}$为电感电流设定值;${D}_{\text{i}}$为环路计算占空比。当负载较大时,单独采用峰值电流移相控制可以有效控制一次侧电流峰值,并且重载条件下的一次侧电流可以实现开关管的ZVS;当负载逐渐减轻,一次侧电流逐渐下降到实现一次侧开关管ZVS的临界值时,固定电流环参考值,使电流维持在能实现ZVS的最小电流${I}_{\text{min}}$,移相占空比${D}_{\text{phs}}$由一次侧电流控制,此时引入Burst模式,在上述移相占空比的基础上,通过改变Burst占空比${D}_{\text{burst}}$来调节输出电压。
由式(8)可知,保证滞后桥臂实现ZVS所需要的最小一次侧电流为

当输出滤波电感足够大,一次侧电流在$\left[{t}_{0},{t}_{3}\right]$阶段近似为恒值时,Burst模式占空比为

移相全桥变换器工作在峰值电流控制模式下的驱动电压${V}_{\text{GS}}$、开关管电压${V}_{\text{DS}}$和谐振电感电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{r}}}$波形如图6所示,其中图6(a)(b)分别为5 A和2 A负载时超前桥臂开关管${\text{Q}}_{\text{3}}$和滞后桥臂开关管${\text{Q}}_{\text{1}}$的波形。可以看出,在负载电流较大时,2个桥臂的开关管均可实现ZVS;当负载电流较小时,仅超前桥臂开关管可以实现ZVS。
图7为移相全桥变换器工作在混合控制模式下的驱动电压${V}_{\text{GS}}$、开关管电压${V}_{\text{DS}}$和谐振电感电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{r}}}$波形。当其负载电流与图6(b)相同为2 A时,混合控制模式下的滞后桥臂开关管也可以实现ZVS。
为了验证混合控制方式的可行性,研制了1台250 W样机进行实验验证。设定仅以峰值电流控制方式运行时,5 A负载为滞后桥臂软开关实现的临界负载,根据式(10)对谐振电感进行设计。根据工程经验,取输出电感电流纹波峰-峰值为输出电流平均值的20%,输出电压纹波峰-峰值为输出电压的1%,对输出滤波电感和输出滤波电容进行计算,样机参数见表1
图8为混合控制软件程序流程,控制器采用德州仪器的DSP28035。闭环控制算法在控制律加速器CLA(control law accelerator)中断的每个开关周期运行1次,当接收到来自CPU中断的启动信号后,首先设定混合控制切换点的一次侧电流峰值和输出电压的上限与下限。然后进行电压外环PID计算,产生电流参考信号,若此时检测到负载电流高于临界电流,则采用峰值电流控制,输出PID计算所得电流参考信号;若此时负载电流低于临界值,则进入混合控制模式,输出预先设定好的电流参考信号,根据电流参考信号,DSP的模拟比较器模块和DPWM模块产生占空比送入隔离驱动芯片,产生开关管栅极控制信号。为避免切换点附近由于电流波动造成的频繁切换,对软件进行如下处理:①检测到负载电流穿越切换点而需要进行模式切换后,做出一定时间的延时,在延时期间内多次检测,确保负载电流处于稳态后再进行切换,避免由于瞬时的电流波动造成系统反复切换;②正常模式切换到轻载模式的条件为负载电流下降至5 A以下,而由轻载模式切换至正常模式的依据为负载电流上升至5.5 A以上,以此来避免在切换点附近频繁切换运行模式。
图9图10分别为峰值电流控制模式下的负载动态波形和峰值电流控制到混合控制的模式切换波形。可以看出,变换器在单一峰值电流控制模式下和在混合控制模式下均可以在负载跳变时稳定运行。
图11为不同负载时峰值电流控制模式下变换器工作波形,其中${V}_{\text{GS1}}$${V}_{\text{DS1}}$分别为滞后桥臂开关管${\text{Q}}_{\text{1}}$的栅极驱动电压和漏-源电压。由图11(a)可以看出,在8 A负载时,负载电流较大,滞后桥臂开关管可以实现ZVS;由图11(b)可以看出,当负载电流下降至2 A时,滞后桥臂开关管已无法实现ZVS。
图12为2 A负载下峰值电流型混合控制波形,可以看出,采用混合控制后,通过对谐振电感电流峰值的控制,使变换器在轻载条件下也能获得足够大的谐振电感电流,从而保证滞后桥臂开关管ZVS的实现。
表2为采用3种不同控制方式时的样机性能对比。可以看出,峰值电流控制虽然可以在全负载范围内应用,但其软开关范围较窄;Burst控制由于会造成过大的电流应力,因此一般只应用在负载较轻或空载条件下;混合控制方式不仅可以有效增大变换器的软开关范围,还可以根据需要对变换器的电流应力进行控制。以本样机为例,同样为2 A负载时,峰值电流控制方式下的变换器一次侧电流峰值为1.25 A,而Burst模式控制下一次侧电流峰值为2.20 A,后者明显高于前者。为了保证滞后桥臂软开关的实现,峰值电流型混合控制下的变换器在5 A负载以下时,一次侧电流峰值均为5.50 A,且可根据实际需要进行调整。
本文针对移相全桥变换器轻载滞后桥臂软开关难以实现的问题,采用了1种基于峰值电流控制与Burst模式的混合控制方式。利用峰值电流控制可以对一次侧电流峰值准确控制的特性,通过改变驱动移相角,在轻载模式下保证一定大小的电流用以实现ZVS,通过Burst模式控制输入输出功率守恒,以实现稳定输出电压。通过实验波形可以看出,在电压等级和硬件参数相同的条件下,仅采用峰值电流控制时,只有负载电流大于5 A时变换器的滞后桥臂才能实现ZVS。而当使用峰值电流型混合控制时,2 A负载下滞后桥臂依然可以实现ZVS,证明峰值电流型混合控制下的变换器软开关范围有了明显提升。
