Limited by the switching frequency, the frequency-controlled LLC resonant converter is difficult to achieve a wide output voltage range. To solve this problem, an expandable variable-mode interleaved parallel LLC resonant converter is studied. The secondary-side of this converter adopts a voltage doubling rectifier circuit, which can work in a parallel or series mode according to different switch combinations of two half-bridges on the primary-side, and it can adapt to the wide output voltage range of 1-3N times. A fixed-frequency PWM control method is proposed. In the middle region between the parallel and series modes, the fixed switching frequency is taken as the resonant frequency, and the duty cycle of one bridge arm is changed to realize voltage control. PSIM simulation results show that the wide output voltage range of 1-3N times can be realized by expanding 2N resonator cavities. The experimental results of a 100 W prototype demonstrate that the wide output voltage range of 1-3 times can be achieved with two half-bridges and two resonant cavities, and the effectiveness of the proposed converter and its control strategy was verified.

为了解决频率控制的LLC谐振变换器受限于开关频率而难以实现宽输出电压范围这一问题,研究了1种可拓展的变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器。该变换器的二次侧采用倍压整流电路,根据一次侧双半桥不同的开关组合工作在并联模态或串联模态,可以适应1~3N倍宽输出电压范围。同时,提出了1种定频PWM控制方法,通过在并联模态和串联模态的中间区域固定开关频率为谐振频率,改变1个桥臂的占空比,实现电压控制。PSIM仿真结果验证了该变换器经过拓展2N个谐振腔后可实现1~3N倍宽输出电压范围。100 W实验样机的实验结果验证了双半桥两谐振腔时可实现1~3倍的宽输出电压范围,证明了该变换器及其控制策略的有效性。

为了解决频率控制的LLC谐振变换器受限于开关频率而难以实现宽输出电压范围这一问题,研究了1种可拓展的变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器。该变换器的二次侧采用倍压整流电路,根据一次侧双半桥不同的开关组合工作在并联模态或串联模态,可以适应1~3N倍宽输出电压范围。同时,提出了1种定频PWM控制方法,通过在并联模态和串联模态的中间区域固定开关频率为谐振频率,改变1个桥臂的占空比,实现电压控制。PSIM仿真结果验证了该变换器经过拓展2N个谐振腔后可实现1~3N倍宽输出电压范围。100 W实验样机的实验结果验证了双半桥两谐振腔时可实现1~3倍的宽输出电压范围,证明了该变换器及其控制策略的有效性。

Limited by the switching frequency, the frequency-controlled LLC resonant converter is difficult to achieve a wide output voltage range. To solve this problem, an expandable variable-mode interleaved parallel LLC resonant converter is studied. The secondary-side of this converter adopts a voltage doubling rectifier circuit, which can work in a parallel or series mode according to different switch combinations of two half-bridges on the primary-side, and it can adapt to the wide output voltage range of 1-3N times. A fixed-frequency PWM control method is proposed. In the middle region between the parallel and series modes, the fixed switching frequency is taken as the resonant frequency, and the duty cycle of one bridge arm is changed to realize voltage control. PSIM simulation results show that the wide output voltage range of 1-3N times can be realized by expanding 2N resonator cavities. The experimental results of a 100 W prototype demonstrate that the wide output voltage range of 1-3 times can be achieved with two half-bridges and two resonant cavities, and the effectiveness of the proposed converter and its control strategy was verified.

LLC谐振变换器具有零电压开通ZVS(zero voltage switching)、高效率、二次侧二极管电压应力小等优势[1-6]。目前传统LLC变换器应用在LED驱动器、电池充电器和可再生电力系统等宽输出电压场合时,基于谐振元件的特性,其开关频率必须在很宽的范围内摆动并偏离谐振频率,进而导致系统整体效率降低。因此,传统LLC变换器增益范围受限于谐振槽的特性,难以通过调频兼顾宽输出与高效率[7-11]
为了扩大LLC谐振变换器宽输出电压范围,国内外学者对其二次侧整流结构做了研究并提出改进措施。文献[12]提出1种一次侧双半桥交错并联、二次侧混合倍压整流器级联而成的LLC谐振变换器,通过控制一次侧双半桥开关管的开通组合和二次侧可变混合倍压整流器并结合变频控制实现最大增益为4.2倍的宽输出电压范围;文献[13]研究了1种二次侧采用混合整流器的半桥双LLC谐振变换器,一次侧2个谐振腔通过半桥开关管交替供电,二次侧通过控制开关来切换混合整流器工作于桥式整流器或者倍压整流器并结合变频控制从而实现宽输出;文献[14]研究了1种一次侧为全桥LLC,二次侧为变结构混合倍压器的谐振变换器,二次侧变结构混合倍压电路可通过额外的2个开关管的开通与关断来工作在低、中、高增益3种模式。以上3种变换器虽然可以实现较宽的电压范围,然而二次侧增加了额外的开关管导致增加了控制方式的复杂性和开关损耗。
文献[15]提出1种变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器,根据一次侧2个交并联LLC开关组合的不同来控制二次侧变结构整流器工作在并联模态或串联模态,无需增加额外开关管即可实现宽输出电压范围。然而此变换器在过渡模态时采用变频同时结合移相控制使得控制方式复杂化,且变频与移相之间具有交叉影响,难以明确移相角和调频范围与增益之间的关系。
基于文献[15]的变换器拓扑结构,本文采用定频PWM控制方法简化了过渡模态中的控制方式,明确了占空比与输出增益之间的关系,并且提供了新的拓展思路,可满足输出覆盖1~3N倍超宽增益范围。
图1为变换器倍压整流单元的拓扑结构,一次侧为半桥LLC结构,二次侧由1个储能电容${C}_{\text{s}}$、2个二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$${\text{D}}_{\text{2}}$组成。图2为本文研究的变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器拓扑,一次侧为双半桥LLC交错并联结构,二次侧由2个倍压整流单元级联而成。通过控制一次侧开关管不同的开通组合使得二次侧倍压整流单元工作在并联模态或串联模态以适用于不同的电压应用场景,并结合变频和定频PWM控制来实现1~3倍宽电压输出范围。
可拓展的变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器拓扑如图3所示。
图3中:一次侧为第一半桥和第二半桥网络,将2个半桥所对应的谐振腔数量拓展至N个并联,二次侧为2N个倍压整流单元级联组成。当变换器双半桥每额外拓展1路谐振腔,其增益范围增加3倍。通过控制一次侧开关管不同的开通组合,并结合变频以及定频PWM控制,实现1~3N倍宽输出范围。
变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器的二次侧存在串联模态、并联模态及过渡模态3种工作模态。为了便于对各个模态进行稳态分析做如下假设:①变换器中所有开关元件(${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}{\text{~S}}_{\text{4}}$)的寄生电容相同且将其视为理想器件;②2个谐振槽的元件参数相同;③二次侧二极管均为理想元件,忽略其导通压降。
当一次侧双半桥LLC脉冲相差180°时(${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$同时开通,${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}、{\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$同时开通且占空比各为50%),二次侧2个倍压整流单元工作在并联模态,输出为2倍频,可适用于低压应用场合(50 V)。其对应的关键波形如图4所示。
阶段1[${t}_{0}$,${t}_{1}$]:如图5(a)所示,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,此时${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$实现ZVS,${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$关断。变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{1}}$一次电压被钳位在-n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上负、下正,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$被充电至${V}_{\text{o}}$/2(为下半周期倍压输出做准备)。对于谐振腔Ⅱ,此时${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$导通,${\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$关断。变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{2}}$一次电压被钳位在+n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上正、下负,储能电容${C}_{\text{s2}}$与变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{2}}$同时为负载输出能量。在此阶段,二次侧倍压单元以并联模式输出。
阶段2[${t}_{1}$,${t}_{2}$]:如图5(b)所示,此时间段为死区时间,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$关断,谐振电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{r1}}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$的ZVS创造条件。此时励磁电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{m1}}}$增加到与${i}_{{L}_{\text{r1}}}$相等,一次侧无能量传递到负载端。谐振腔Ⅱ在此阶段同理,不再赘述。
阶段3[${t}_{2}$,${t}_{3}$]:如图5(c)所示,此阶段与阶段1中2个谐振腔工作原理相同,不再重述。
当一次侧双半桥LLC脉冲相同时(${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$同时开通,${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}、{\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$同时开通且占空比各为50%),二次侧2个倍压整流单元工作在串联模态,输出为4倍频,可适用于高压应用场合(100 V)。其对应的关键波形如图6所示。
阶段1[${t}_{0}$,${t}_{1}$]:如图7(a)所示,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,此时${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$零电压导通,${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$关断。变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{1}}$一次电压被钳位在-n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上负、下正,二次侧二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$导通,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$被充电至${V}_{\text{o}}$/4(为下半周期倍压输出做准备)。谐振腔Ⅱ在此阶段同理,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s2}}$通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{2}}$被充电至${V}_{\text{o}}$/4(为下半周期倍压输出做准备)。
阶段2[${t}_{1}$,${t}_{2}$]:如图7(b)所示,在${t}_{1}$时刻,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$关断,谐振电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{r1}}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$的ZVS创造条件。此时励磁电流${i}_{{L}_{\text{m1}}}$增加到与${i}_{{L}_{\text{r1}}}$相等,一次侧无能量传递到负载端。谐振腔Ⅱ在此阶段同理,不再赘述。
阶段3[${t}_{2}$,${t}_{3}$]:如图7(c)所示,在${t}_{2}$时刻,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,此时${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$导通实现ZVS,${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$关断。变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{1}}$一次电压被钳位在+n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上正、下负,二次侧二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$关断。谐振腔Ⅱ工作状态与谐振腔Ⅰ相同,不再重述。在此阶段,变换器工作在二次侧串联模态,一次侧能量通过储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$${C}_{\text{s2}}$、变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{1}}$${\text{T}}_{\text{2}}$、二极管D3输出给负载端。
为了满足输出增益能够在变频调制后的二次侧并联模态(80 V)与谐振频率下的二次侧串联模态(100 V)之间过渡,本文仅对第一半桥开关管采用定频PWM调制方式进行调制。保持第二半桥开关管(${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}、{\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$)开关频率为谐振频率且占空比为50%不变,调整第一半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$与开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$占空比D,即改变第一半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$与第二半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$共同导通时间${T}_{\text{D}}$近似等于二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{3}}$导通时间(由于当${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$关断后,谐振电流开始下降、励磁电流开始上升至同一值后,${i}_{{\text{D}}_{3}}$才关断),随着占空比D的改变,二次侧串联模态的平均工作时间改变,从而使得变换器的电压增益实现80~100 V之间过渡。其关键工作波形如图8所示。
阶段1[${t}_{0}$,${t}_{1}$]:如图9(a)所示,${t}_{1}$时刻${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$关断。对于谐振腔Ⅰ,变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{1}}$一次电压被钳位在+ n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上正、下负,二次侧二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$关断。此时励磁电感${L}_{\text{m1}}$不参与谐振。谐振腔Ⅱ工作状态与谐振腔Ⅰ相同,不再赘述。在此阶段,变换器工作在二次侧串联模态。
阶段2[${t}_{1}$,${t}_{2}$]:如图9(b)所示,此阶段${\text{S}}_{2}$已经开通。对于谐振腔Ⅰ,${t}_{1}$时刻谐振电流还没有完成半个周期,所以此时${i}_{{L}_{\text{r1}}}$仍然大于${i}_{{L}_{\text{m1}}}$,两者差值流过变压器一次侧。此时变压器一次侧极性为上正、下负。由于在这个阶段变换器仍然保持二次侧串联输出模态,因此2个谐振腔的电流自动均流,谐振腔Ⅱ保持与谐振腔Ⅰ同样的工作状态。
阶段3[${t}_{2}$,${t}_{3}$]:如图9(c)所示,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,变压器${\text{T}}_{1}$一次电压被钳位在-n${V}_{\text{o}}$,极性为上负、下正,二次侧二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$导通,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$被充电。对于谐振腔Ⅱ,励磁电感${L}_{\text{m2}}$参与谐振,一次侧无能量传递给二次侧。
阶段4[${t}_{3}$,${t}_{4}$]:如图9(d)所示,${t}_{3}$时刻${\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$开通。对于谐振腔Ⅰ,工作阶段与阶段3相似,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$继续通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}$被充电。对于谐振腔Ⅱ,变压器${\text{T}}_{\text{2}}$一次电压极性为上负、下正,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s2}}$通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{2}}$被充电。
阶段5[${t}_{4}$,${t}_{5}$]:如图9(e)所示,对于谐振腔Ⅰ,励磁电感${L}_{\text{m1}}$参与谐振,一次侧无能量传递给二次侧。此时二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s1}}$充电结束。对于谐振腔Ⅱ,工作阶段与阶段4相似,二次侧储能电容${C}_{\text{s2}}$继续通过二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{2}}$被充电直到${t}_{5}$时刻结束。
本文通过控制一次侧双半桥LLC开关管${\text{(S}}_{\text{1}}{\text{~S}}_{\text{4}}\text{)}$不同的开关组合来调整二次侧倍压整流单元的串并联模态,并结合变频及定频PWM控制来实现50 ~ 150 V的宽范围输出,控制策略如图10所示。当输出电压范围为50~80 V,一次侧双半桥LLC脉冲相差180°(${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}、{\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$同时开通,${\text{S}}_{2}、{\text{S}}_{3}$同时开通),变换器工作在二次侧并联模态,结合PFM调制方法调节输出电压;当输出电压范围为100~150 V,一次侧双半桥LLC脉冲相同(${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}、{\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$同时开通,${\text{S}}_{2}、{\text{S}}_{4}$同时开通),变换器工作在二次侧串联模态,结合PFM调制方法调节输出电压;当输出电压范围为2种模态之间的中间区域(80~100 V),采用定频PWM调制,即保持第二半桥开关管(${\text{S}}_{3}、{\text{S}}_{4}$)开关频率为谐振频率且占空比为50%不变,调整第一半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$与开关管${\text{S}}_{2}$占空比D,即调整第一半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$与第二半桥开关管${\text{S}}_{3}$共同导通时间${T}_{\text{D}}$,随着占空比D在0.2~0.5之间变化,二次侧串联模态的平均工作时间改变,从而调节输出电压。
在变模态交错并联LLC中,2个半桥LLC网络相互独立运行,因此变换器的电压增益可以与传统半桥LLC谐振变换器以相同的方式推导。根据二次侧的工作模态来推算变换器的增益,每个倍压整流单元的增益为

式中:${V}_{\text{cs}}$为等效副边电容电压;${V}_{\text{in}}$为输入电压;${R}_{\text{ac}}$为交流等效电阻;${C}_{\text{r}}$为谐振电容;${L}_{\text{m}}$为励磁电感;${L}_{\text{r}}$为谐振电感;k${L}_{\text{m}}$${L}_{\text{r}}$的比值;n为变压器一次侧与二次侧的绕组匝数比;f为归一化频率,即开关频率与谐振频率的比值;Q为品质因数。
图11为变换器的增益曲线。为了保持输出电压的连续调节,且保证定频PWM调制时调节的占空比范围不应过大,通过合适的谐振参数设计,使得二次侧并联模态的最大增益大于二次侧串联模态的最小增益,即${G}_{\text{P}}$≥2。由增益曲线可知,通过变频控制可将宽的输出电压范围分成2个狭窄的区间,缩小了频率调节范围,再结合定频PWM调制使得变换器覆盖1~3倍的电压增益,且在增益所需调节的频率范围内仍然满足ZVS条件。
在PSIM仿真软件中对所提控制策略的有效性进行验证,仿真结果如图12,变换器关键参数见表1图12分别为输出电压50、80、100、150 V及85 V时的相关稳态波形,可见,结合本文所提控制策略,能够使得输出电压覆盖1~3倍宽范围。
基于4.1节仿真结果,搭建实验平台进一步验证,实验参数与仿真参数一致。图13~图16分别为输出电压50、80、100和150 V的稳态实验波形。图17为当开关频率为谐振频率、${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$占空比为25%、${\text{S}}_{\text{2}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$互补、${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{4}}$以50%占空比互补导通、${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$${\text{S}}_{\text{3}}$同时开通时的实验波形。图17(a)${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$开关管的驱动信号和2个谐振腔的谐振电流,以及输出电压为85 V的实验波形,图17(b)为上述模态下二次侧二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{1}}、{\text{D}}_{\text{2}}、{\text{D}}_{\text{3}}$的电流波形。可以看出变换器在定频PWM控制下,随着${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$占空比的变化,二极管${\text{D}}_{\text{3}}$导通时间随之改变,变换器工作在二次侧串联模态下的平均时间改变从而改变输出电压。图18为测得过渡模态时变换器${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$开关占空比D与输出电压${V}_{\text{o}}$之间的关系曲线。经过拟合后的${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$开关占空比D与输出电压${V}_{\text{o}}$的关系可表示为

由式(4)可知,通过调整${\text{S}}_{\text{1}}$开关占空比D在[0.2,0.5]变化,可使变换器的电压增益实现80~100 V之间过渡。
本文与近年国内外报道的一些宽输出电压范围拓扑结构及控制策略对比见表2。可以看出:文献[12]虽然增益范围较宽,但是二次侧器件数量较多,增加了成本,且二次侧增加了额外的开关管,其硬开关过程会带来额外的开关损耗;文献[13]器件数量少,增益范围较宽但其开关频率过宽容易失去软开关特性,且二次侧额外的开关管也会带来硬开关损耗;文献[14]采用PWM调制实现了增益与负载无关的特性,电路始终工作在谐振频率点,但其元器件数量多且增益范围有限;文献[15]中变换器采用变频同时结合移相控制使得控制方式复杂化,且变频与移相之间具有交叉影响,使得难以明确移相角和调频范围与增益之间的关系。相比较,本文所提方案所需器件少,简化了控制方式,具有良好软开关特性,可以在较窄的开关频率范围内实现较宽的输出电压范围,具有一定的优势。
为了满足LLC谐振变换器适用于宽电压场合的需求,基于变模态交错并联LLC谐振变换器提出了3种不同的控制策略。在低压应用场合,变换器工作在二次侧并联模态,且结合变频调制可实现输出电压覆盖50~80 V的范围;在高压应用场合,变换器工作在二次侧串联模态,且结合变频调制可实现输出电压覆盖100~150 V的范围;在并联与串联模态之间采用定频PWM调制,实现输出电压在80~ 100 V之间过渡。基于以上调制策略,变换器可以在较窄的调频范围内实现1~3倍的宽电压范围,且该变换器具有模块化特性,通过拓展一次侧交错并联LLC的2N个谐振腔数量,可实现变换器增益满足1~3N的超宽范围。
