DC optical current transformer (OCT) is an important equipment in high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission project. Its safety and stability is of great significance to the power grid. In this paper, the causes of a DC optical current transformer fault at a converter station are analyzed and the possible location of the fault is investigated. Finally, it is determined that the change in the characteristic parameters of the fault is caused by the cracks produced after the long term deterioration of the optical fiber melting point. This work is of certain reference value for fault analysis of the OCT in engineering.

作为高压直流输电工程中的重要设备,直流光电流互感器(OCT)的安全稳定运行对电网具有重要意义。本文对某换流站一起直流光电流互感器故障进行原因分析,对设备可能的故障位置进行排查,最终确定故障特征参数变化是由光纤熔点长期劣化产生的裂纹引起,可为实际工程中光电流互感器的故障分析提供参考。

DC optical current transformer (OCT) is an important equipment in high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission project. Its safety and stability is of great significance to the power grid. In this paper, the causes of a DC optical current transformer fault at a converter station are analyzed and the possible location of the fault is investigated. Finally, it is determined that the change in the characteristic parameters of the fault is caused by the cracks produced after the long term deterioration of the optical fiber melting point. This work is of certain reference value for fault analysis of the OCT in engineering.

我国直流输电技术高速发展,对直流输电系统设备的可靠性及稳定性提出了更高的要求[1-4]。光电流互感器(optical current transformer, OCT)也称光CT,是一种基于法拉第磁光效应和萨格纳克干涉原理的电流传感装置,采用光学相位反馈闭环控制系统,具有绝缘结构简单、动态范围宽、不会发生磁饱和、暂态特性好、准确度高、抗干扰能力强、安装灵活、易于集成等特点,在直流输电中得到了广泛应用[5-8]。然而,光CT一次本体内部及二次回路结构较复杂,目前尚处于发展应用初期,在实际工程中故障频发[9-11]。目前,针对工程现场光CT故障的分析与仿真研究已经开展。文献[12]统计了某换流站投运期间光CT故障情况,发现远端模块和光纤故障为主要故障,并且通过设计光CT备品离线检测平台,解决了因备品故障造成一次设备故障复现的问题。文献[13]分析了宜都换流站两次直流线路光CT故障导致极闭锁的情况,判断为光CT本体制造工艺问题,以及通信板卡硬件故障,最终通过更换光CT出线及通信板卡等方法进行处理。文献[14]分析了某换流站一起光CT电子单元故障造成1 000kV交流滤波器差动保护动作的跳闸事故,通过实验对故障电子单元进行检测,发现故障是由光源与驱动电路板接插件连接强度不足导致光功率波动而引起。以上研究主要针对光CT一次本体、电子单元等常规部件的永久性故障,并未考虑设备受温度影响下的瞬时故障,因此本文在上述研究的基础上,进一步对实际工程中光CT故障产生的机理展开研究,以期为今后工程中光CT的设计与运维提供参考。
本文对一起光CT故障进行原因排查,给出光CT故障参数随温度变化的规律,推断是光纤熔点劣化导致参数报警,并据此对光纤熔点存在缺陷的情况进行模拟,得到与工作现场一致的故障特性。最后,深入分析光纤熔点故障机理,并采用实例验证光纤熔点故障理论的正确性。
某换流站11:07运行人员工作站(operator work station, OWS)后台报“S4P2DLP2 C直流线路行波保护退出、直流线路电压突变量保护退出、直流线路纵差保护退出、直流线路电抗器差动保护退出、本极IDL信号输出异常、S4P1DLP2 C装置报对极IDL信号输出异常”,2s后报警复归,随后多次报出、复归,最后一次报警后长时间未复归。经后台查看事件报文显示,P2.IDL2测点C套直流光CT电子单元品质位无效导致保护退出。
直流线路光CT系统接线如图1所示。光CT系统整体结构由安装于测量点位的一次本体和安装于小室屏柜内的电子单元两大部分组成。
一次本体与电子单元通过光回路和调制回路连接。光回路以电子单元光源为起点,经过屏柜内的熔接盒、户内至户外电缆管理箱(cable management box, CMB)的铠装光缆、一次本体底座处的调制箱和一次本体绝缘子,最终到达一次本体顶部传感环。调制回路由电子单元调制信号输出口,经过户内至户外CMB的铠装电缆,到达一次本体底座处的调制箱。
通过现场下载电子单元状态报告,发现表征调制回路状态的参数中调制器驱动电压无异常(当前值4.45V,最小值4.42V,最大值4.94V),LED驱动电流当前值较最小值增大5mA,平均偏差超过报警上限值0.1V,二次谐波当前值仅为0.431 2V,小于理想值0.68V,四次谐波幅值接近下限值0.16V。通过查询故障发生一周时间内LED驱动电流历史趋势曲线,发现故障参数中平均偏差和二次谐波在日出时间内有明显上升趋势,夜间参数良好,因此初步判断该参数异常与温度相关。故障时现场各状态量随环境温度上升的变化趋势见表1
现场使用光时域反射仪(optical time-domain reflectometer, OTDR)和光功率计对测量屏柜到光CT一次本体回路的光纤通路,以及电子单元端口的发光功率进行测量,结果显示未检测到异常反射峰及异常损耗点且光功率数据正常,排除光纤断裂的可能性。光路现场检测结果如图2所示。
光CT电子单元受光照和温度影响的户外部件主要包括CMB、调制箱、传感环。CMB为金属材质,箱体受光照后温度明显升高。为了验证故障是否由CMB升温引起箱内光纤熔点劣化造成,技术人员在故障发生后对CMB进行遮阳处理,分别记录未遮阳与遮阳后一天时间内光CT系统平均偏差与二次谐波数据,对比一天时间内光CT系统平均偏差与二次谐波变化曲线。结果显示,两日内平均偏差与二次谐波变化均呈现不同程度的劣化趋势,且整体分布趋势一致。
进一步对调制箱进行遮阳处理,观察光CT系统平均偏差与二次谐波参数的变化情况。结果显示,遮阳处理前后平均偏差与二次谐波出现不同程度的劣化趋势,数值接近告警值。因此,初步判断光CT参数变化与CMB和调制箱温度无关。为进一步探究故障原因,需要对光CT传感环及光CT一次本体进行检查。
检修期间将故障光CT一次本体进行更换并进行返厂试验。试验系统设计如图3所示。被测电子单元放于温度循环试验箱内,一次本体处于环境温度下。电子单元与一次本体连接,一次本体传感环通入200Arms交流电流,被测电子单元输出口接校验仪和故障录波,光CT诊断盒串入故障相C相并分别接入调试电脑和示波器,状态量监视系统通过串口采集光CT状态参数并绘制曲线。
返厂试验时分别将光CT的调制罐、传感环及一次本体整体置于温箱内进行高低温试验,高低温分别设置为75℃和-45℃。光CT返厂试验环境如图4所示。
经过对光CT的传感环、调制罐及一次本体整体进行高低温试验,监测并记录高低温试验时的比差、状态量及OTDR测试曲线,结果均未见明显异常和变化,因此排除一次本体故障引起现场状态量告警故障的可能。
在排除电子单元和一次本体故障后,根据故障状态量与温度高度相关的特性,推测故障原因与CMB中光纤熔点劣化有关,接下来进一步开展光纤熔点故障排查工作。
由于故障光CT在返厂时断开了CMB内的光纤熔点,因此对光纤熔点裂纹缺陷进行人为模拟,以复现现场光CT故障情况。在此次试验中,使用FC/PC光纤接头模拟光纤裂纹缺陷。光纤裂纹模拟试验示意图如图5所示。
记录光纤接头正常对接初始数据,用不断增大光纤接头之间的耦合缝隙模拟光纤熔点裂纹随温度不断增大的变化情况,同时记录此时各状态量的变化情况。各状态量变化试验结果见表2
由模拟结果可知,使用FC/PC连接头模拟光纤熔点裂纹缺陷时,光CT的4个状态量(LED驱动电流、二次谐波幅值、四次谐波幅值及平均偏差)均产生与温度相关的变化,可在一定程度上对现场的故障现象进行定性解释。
对光纤裂纹缺陷引起的光CT状态量变化进行理论建模分析,光纤内部裂纹处光信号示意图如图6所示。
当光纤内部存在裂纹时,入射光(光强${{I}_{0}}$)在裂纹处主要出现3种现象:一是产生反射光,假设反射光能反向传输进光电探测器(photoelectric detector, PD)的效率为$R$,那么反射光的强度为$R{{I}_{0}}$;二是产生透射光,假设透射光能在光纤内传输的效率为$T$,那么透射光的强度为$T{{I}_{0}}$;三是产生损耗光,包括所有不能再次在光纤内传输的光,效率为$1-R-T$,损耗光的强度为$(1-R-T){{I}_{0}}$
考虑能够进入PD的信号光,其中反射光能直接进入PD内,而透射光经过传感光路(光路损耗系数为$\alpha $)变成反向的信号光,信号光经过裂纹透射后,透射信号光也能进入PD内,这样进入PD内的光信号为

式中:${{\varphi }_{\text{m}}}(t)={{\varphi }_{0}}\cos (\omega t)$为调制器产生光信号的调制相位差(rad),φ0为调制器产生光信号的调制初始相位差(rad),ω 为调制光信号角频率(rad/s);$F$为待测电流产生的法拉第磁光效应相位差(rad)。
根据上述理论模型,可以推导出各状态量光信号形式的表达式,其中峰值光强为

四次谐波幅值为

式中,${{J}_{4}}\left( {{\varphi }_{0}} \right)$为四倍频分量幅值。
平均偏差为

式中:N为光信号处理单元内置检测时间;I(t)为PD接收到的瞬时光强(cd);$\bar{I}$为检测时间内平均光强(cd)。
以上光信号参数经信号处理单元处理后转化为便于显示的电信号(电流、电压)上传至上位机,各光信号参数与对应电信号之间成正比例关系。其中,光源光强${{I}_{0}}$、峰值光强Ip、二次谐波幅值${{I}_{2h}}$、四次谐波幅值${{I}_{4h}}$和光信号平均偏差${{I}_{av}}$分别用LED驱动电流${{I}_{d}}$、峰值电压Vp、二次谐波幅值电压${{V}_{2h}}$、四次谐波幅值电压${{V}_{4h}}$和平均偏差电压${{V}_{av}}$表示。
根据经验可知,当裂纹宽度发生微小变化时,反射率$R$通常变化不大,但透射率$T$会发生明显变化。综合系统数据判断,光纤内部裂纹受温度变化影响而产生形变,使透射率明显降低,从而造成峰值光强Ip、二次谐波幅值${{I}_{2h}}$和四次谐波幅值${{I}_{4h}}$降低;峰值光强Ip降低后,系统会增加光源的驱动电流${{I}_{d}}$来增大初始光强${{I}_{0}}$,保证Ip恒定;最终初始光强${{I}_{0}}$的提升使信号中的反射光强度相对增大,透射光强度相对减小,所以信号的平均值会相对增大,即平均偏差${{I}_{av}}$增大,二次谐波幅值和四次谐波幅值依旧会下降,但比值不变,即调制系统依旧正常工作。
利用上述理论对光纤裂纹故障开展研究,对不同的裂纹参数进行数值模拟,具体的光纤裂纹参数和故障参数模拟结果分别见表3表4
在模拟中,假设光路损耗系数α=0.07,调制深度为1.5,这两个参数值保持不变。当裂纹增加时,反射率R=0.04不变,但透射率T从0.96下降到0.70,那么在功率闭环的作用下,峰值电压Vp保持1.7V不变,但驱动电流Id从16.26mA上升到22.88mA;二次谐波幅值电压${{V}_{2h}}$从0.12V下降到0.09V;四次谐波幅值电压${{V}_{4h}}$从0.006 4V下降到0.004 6V;${{V}_{2h}}/{{V}_{4h}}$基本保持不变(调制器工作正常);平均偏差从1.44V上升到1.52V。最终,本次模拟结果与工程现场光CT故障现象完全相符,验证了此次光CT事故是由光纤熔接存在缺陷造成的推断。
本文通过分析一起换流站直流光CT故障,在对光CT光路、电子单元和一次本体进行排查均未发现明显异常的情况下,深入分析故障原因,推断光纤熔点劣化导致参数变化而报警,最终通过对光纤熔点劣化进行模拟分析,得到如下结论:
1)从设计工艺角度出发,本次故障的根本原因是光CT一次本体侧CMB中光纤熔点长期劣化产生了光纤内部裂纹,引起光CT状态量产生与温度相关的变化并达到了预警限值。光CT生产厂家应对光纤熔点裂纹的产生原因做进一步深入分析,并在光纤熔接工序中加强过程控制,降低熔点裂纹缺陷的出现概率。
2)从实际工程角度出发,本文根据实际工程中存在的光CT故障预警问题,发现并验证了一种光CT光纤熔点劣化导致故障的情况,具有一定的工程指导价值。
3)从现场运维角度出发,当现场发现类似故障隐患时,可通过人为对CMB中的光纤熔点进行加热或制冷来加速缺陷劣化速度,以产生更明显的故障现象。若与熔点裂纹缺陷所引起的故障现象一致,则可将该熔点重熔,以解决熔点劣化问题。
