The semi-bridgeless dual Boost power factor correction(PFC) circuit can obtain higher conversion efficiency without increasing common mode noise,but the return current of the input AC terminal produces additional losses on the introduced diodes,which reduces the conversion efficiency. The replacement of diodes with MOS transistors was investigated. The MOS transistor was with very low impedance when turned on to short-circuit the MOS transister(or its body diode) and the inductor branch in parallel. Most of the return current was flowed through the introduced MOS transistor,the conduction loss was reduced and the conversion efficiency was improved. At the same time,a low impedance path was provided for the common mode noise through the MOS transistor and its body diode,and the commonmode noise level was not changed. The working process and design criteria of the circuit were given,and the correctness of the analysis was verified by circuit simulation. Finally,a 1.5 kW principle prototype was developed,in which it was verified that the circuit can further improve the conversion efficiency.

半无桥双Boost功率因数校正(PFC)电路能够获得更高变换效率,同时不增大共模噪声,但输入交流端的返回电流在引入的二极管上产生额外的损耗,降低了电路的变换效率。研究用MOS管替代二极管,其导通时具有极低阻抗短路与其并联的MOS管(或其体二极管)和电感器支路,返回电流绝大部分流经MOS管,从而降低导通损耗,提高变换效率;同时MOS管及其体二极管为共模噪声提供低阻抗通路,共模噪声水平未发生改变。给出了电路工作过程和设计准则,并用电路仿真验证了分析的正确性。最后,研制出1.5 kW原理样机,验证了该电路能够进一步提高变换效率。

半无桥双Boost功率因数校正(PFC)电路能够获得更高变换效率,同时不增大共模噪声,但输入交流端的返回电流在引入的二极管上产生额外的损耗,降低了电路的变换效率。研究用MOS管替代二极管,其导通时具有极低阻抗短路与其并联的MOS管(或其体二极管)和电感器支路,返回电流绝大部分流经MOS管,从而降低导通损耗,提高变换效率;同时MOS管及其体二极管为共模噪声提供低阻抗通路,共模噪声水平未发生改变。给出了电路工作过程和设计准则,并用电路仿真验证了分析的正确性。最后,研制出1.5 kW原理样机,验证了该电路能够进一步提高变换效率。

The semi-bridgeless dual Boost power factor correction(PFC) circuit can obtain higher conversion efficiency without increasing common mode noise,but the return current of the input AC terminal produces additional losses on the introduced diodes,which reduces the conversion efficiency. The replacement of diodes with MOS transistors was investigated. The MOS transistor was with very low impedance when turned on to short-circuit the MOS transister(or its body diode) and the inductor branch in parallel. Most of the return current was flowed through the introduced MOS transistor,the conduction loss was reduced and the conversion efficiency was improved. At the same time,a low impedance path was provided for the common mode noise through the MOS transistor and its body diode,and the commonmode noise level was not changed. The working process and design criteria of the circuit were given,and the correctness of the analysis was verified by circuit simulation. Finally,a 1.5 kW principle prototype was developed,in which it was verified that the circuit can further improve the conversion efficiency.

传统功率因数校正(power factor correction,PFC)电路中整流桥功耗占总功耗很大部分,导致变换效率难以超过96%[1-3]。为提高变换效率,Boost无桥PFC获得广泛研究[4-6]:无整流桥且两个金属氧化物半导体场效应管(metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor,MOS)同步导通,省去桥臂导通损耗,提高了变换效率。但电路中电感位置使得输出功率地相对交流输入变为“浮动”,MOS管漏极到壳之间的寄生电容成为共模噪声通路,漏极快速的电压变化率导致共模噪声大,难以用滤波器进行处理,造成强电磁干扰[7]。为此,文献[8-9]进一步研究了半无桥PFC电路:在L,N和功率地之间分别接二极管构成半个桥臂,为共模噪声提供低阻抗通路,从而获得与传统桥式PFC相当的电磁干扰水平。通过电路分析可知在工频周期中,交流端返回电流会同时流过半桥臂中二极管、开关MOS管(或其体二极管)和对应电感器,负半周期与正半周期类似,从而产生体二极管导通损耗、电感器导通损耗和磁损,降低了变换效率。
本文研究了带同步整流的半无桥PFC电路:用MOS管代替半桥臂的二极管,用导通后的极低阻抗短路与其并联的MOS管(或其体二极管)和电感器,交流端返回电流绝大部分流经同步整流MOS管,降低导通损耗,提高变换效率;同步整流MOS管及其体二极管为共模噪声提供低阻抗通路,电磁干扰水平未发生改变。
用MOS管代替半桥臂中的二极管后,带同步整流(synchronous rectifier,SR)的半无桥PFC电路如图1所示。
工作原理为:在交流输入正半周期内,电感器L1、二极管D1和MOS管V1构成Boost电路,MOS管V4导通后极低的导通电阻将电感器L2和MOS管V2短路,返回交流输入侧的电流绝大部分流经MOS管V4,从而有效降低导通损耗和L2上的磁芯损耗,其等效电路如图2a 所示;同样,在交流输入的负半周期,电感器L2、二极管D2和MOS管V2构成Boost电路,返回交流输入侧的电流绝大部分流经MOS管V3,等效电路如图2b所示。
该同步整流半无桥PFC电路主要适用于低压大功率应用场合,此时变换器工作于电感电流连续模式(current continuous mode,CCM),对于两路Boost变换器而言分别具有两种工作模态,在此不再赘述。
MOS管V4和V3分别在交流输入的正、负半周期内导通,直接方法是使用工频隔离变压器或交流芯片进行采样判断在正或负半周期以给出驱动信号,但这需要增加电路体积或成本。分析可知:V3和V4在体二极管导通前两端为正向电压;体二极管导通后,交流端的返回电流在其两端产生负向电压。V3和V4的工作模态与电流断续模式(current discontinuous mode,CDM)反激变换器副边同步整流MOS管相类似,并且驱动信号都是以输出地为参考,驱动方便,本研究与其不同之处在于反激变换器的驱动信号为高频,而本应用中的驱动信号为工频。所以为了将V3和V4漏极电压信号降低至驱动芯片所能承受的电压范围而采取适当的限幅分压网络和滤波电路,不会对工频的驱动信号造成显著影响。本研究中同步整流驱动芯片为IR11672AS,其漏极电压采样最高为200 V,在PFC电路中V3和V4漏极电压最高可达425 V,故漏极采样需要经过一定比例分压限幅滤波网络后再输入驱动芯片的电压采样脚。
样机的升压电感、功率器件选型、输出电容等设计参考常规PFC设计[8],本文不再叙述。
控制电路由UCC28180控制芯片及其外围电路构成,该芯片是PFC控制芯片,主要应用于工作于CCM的Boost PFC变换器,其无需输入电压采样和乘法器,可灵活实现电压环和电流环的参数设计,同时提供多种保护功能。
变换器在CDM工作状态及电流过零附近,同步整流MOS管并未导通,交流端返回电流没有固定的返回链路,无法通过设置电流采样电阻的方式去检测电感电流。因此,变换器中设置了3个电流互感器,如图3所示,电流互感器的原、副边匝比为1∶100。对采集到的副边电压信号进行求和[9],得到完整的电感电流信号,并送入控制芯片的电流采样引脚,从而实现电感电流采样。
为了防止在CDM模态及开机过程中低频MOS管频繁开关而导致工作异常,需要对输入驱动芯片的电压采样信号进行适当的滤波处理及以输出负载电流控制同步驱动芯片使能端:1) 滤波电路时间常数设为变换器的开关周期(10 μs)以滤除开关噪声;2) 开机过程及轻载状态下,变换器关断同步整流驱动。
样机中同步整流MOS管与主管相同,选用IPB60R040CFD7;电感器L1和L2自制,感值为260 μH。为进行对比,将V3和V4用同封装整流二极管MURSB1660CTA替换(导通压降为1.4 V)。负半周内交流端返回电流产生的功耗主要为V3体二极管、L1和V1上的导通损耗,不考虑开关频率及高频电流分量,在AC 220 V输入、1 500 W输出时,将交流侧电流等效为峰值为10 A、频率为50 Hz的交流恒流源,采用整流二极管和同步整流MOS管时返回路径的等效电路分别如图4a图4b所示,图中虚线框内为所用MOS管和二极管的等效电路。
因V1和V2共用高频驱动信号,V1中的开关为高频驱动,该电路为非线性电路,不便用常规电路理论进行分析,故本文利用仿真软件对等效电路功耗进行分析计算:
1)采用整流二极管的电路,利用仿真数据,通过计算交流源与其两端的电压乘积,可得出交流侧电流返回路径上产生的功耗为7.68 W;
2)采用带同步整流驱动的电路,利用仿真数据计算交流侧电流返回路径上的功耗降低到2.04 W,可以提高变换效率约0.4%。
为验证电路效果,对图1电路进行了仿真,主要参数如下:输入电压为AC 220 V,两电感器感值为260 μF,输出电压为DC 380 V,输出功率为1 500 W,V1和V2采用同一驱动信号。交流侧接地管V3和V4断开驱动信号时,输入负半周期内流经V3体二极管和电感L1支路的电流仿真如图5所示,返回电流同时流经V3体二极管、MOS管V1和电感L1,返回电流在这些器件上产生导通损耗,降低了电路的整体变换效率。输入正半周期内,与负半周期相似,不再描述。
交流侧接地管V3和V4采用同步整流驱动时,流经MOS管V3、电感L1支路的电流和同步整流驱动信号如图6所示,Boost电路的返回电流绝大部分都流经MOS管V3,此时损耗仅为其导通电阻上的导通损耗,降低了整体损耗,提高了变换效率。
基于PFC控制芯片UCC28180和同步整流自驱芯片IR11672AS设计了两台1 500 W输出的原理样机,实验装置测试实物图如图7所示。
在AC 220 V输入及额定输出、交流侧接地管V3和V4用整流二极管MURSB1660CTA替换时,返回电流同时流经V3的体二极管D3和L1支路,如图8所示。
测量采用同步整流驱动时,流经MOS管V3和L1支路的电流和自驱电压波形如图9所示,返回电流绝大部分都流经MOS管V3
用功率分析仪测量额定AC 220 V输入、1 500 W输出时,两种情况下输入电流分别为6.977 A和7.008 A,这两种情况下的输入功率因数均为0.994。计算两种情况对应的变换效率分别为97.89%和98.31%,采用同步整流后整机提高了大约0.42%。
本文研究了用MOS管代替传统半无桥PFC电路中两个抑制电磁干扰的接地二极管,阐明了改进电路的工作原理和MOS管的同步驱动实现办法,给出了详细的工作过程分析,并进行了仿真和实物原理验证。仿真和验证的结果表明:用MOS管替代二极管后,能够进一步提高半无桥PFC的变换效率,适合于交流低压且较大功率输出场合。
