Three port converter (TPC) has the characteristics of high integration, high power density and single-stage conversion between ports, but at the same time, the energy flow is affected by the interaction of multiple variables. Model predictive control (MPC) was introduced to optimize the dynamic response of output voltage in order to improve the problem of slow response and large fluctuation of output value when traditional PI controller is used in the output voltage control loop of three port converter. The relationship between the prediction model and the control variable was obtained by modeling the average value of the state space of the three port converter, and the objective function was designed. The optimal value was obtained by traversal optimization, so as to improve the dynamic characteristics of the output voltage. The effect of output dynamic response of output voltage loop under traditional PI control and model predictive control was compared through experiments. The results show that model predictive control has obvious effect on improving output voltage stability.

三端口变换器(TPC)具有集成度高、功率密度高及各端口间单级变换的特点,但同时,能量流动会受多个变量的相互作用影响。输出电压控制环路采用传统PI控制器时,会造成电压动态调节过程响应慢,输出值波动大。为改善上述问题,引入模型预测控制(MPC)对输出电压动态响应进行优化,对三端口变换器进行了状态空间平均值建模,得到预测模型与控制变量的关系,设计了目标函数,通过遍历寻优获得最优值,从而提高输出电压的动态特性;通过实验对比研究输出电压环在传统PI控制、模型预测控制下输出动态响应的效果,结果表明模型预测控制对改善输出电压稳定性具有明显效果。

三端口变换器(TPC)具有集成度高、功率密度高及各端口间单级变换的特点,但同时,能量流动会受多个变量的相互作用影响。输出电压控制环路采用传统PI控制器时,会造成电压动态调节过程响应慢,输出值波动大。为改善上述问题,引入模型预测控制(MPC)对输出电压动态响应进行优化,对三端口变换器进行了状态空间平均值建模,得到预测模型与控制变量的关系,设计了目标函数,通过遍历寻优获得最优值,从而提高输出电压的动态特性;通过实验对比研究输出电压环在传统PI控制、模型预测控制下输出动态响应的效果,结果表明模型预测控制对改善输出电压稳定性具有明显效果。

Three port converter (TPC) has the characteristics of high integration, high power density and single-stage conversion between ports, but at the same time, the energy flow is affected by the interaction of multiple variables. Model predictive control (MPC) was introduced to optimize the dynamic response of output voltage in order to improve the problem of slow response and large fluctuation of output value when traditional PI controller is used in the output voltage control loop of three port converter. The relationship between the prediction model and the control variable was obtained by modeling the average value of the state space of the three port converter, and the objective function was designed. The optimal value was obtained by traversal optimization, so as to improve the dynamic characteristics of the output voltage. The effect of output dynamic response of output voltage loop under traditional PI control and model predictive control was compared through experiments. The results show that model predictive control has obvious effect on improving output voltage stability.

相比于传统的直流变换器,三端口变换器(three port converter,TPC)通过对拓扑结构的改变,在减小变换器体积的同时提高了功率密度,并且兼具低成本和高可靠性的优势[1]。而TPC输出负载电压控制效果决定了整个装置供电的质量。因此,对输出电压实现快速稳定的控制显得非常重要。
传统的能量控制多是基于PI下的单电压环或电压外环和电流内环的双环结构[2]。文献[3]中发现三有源桥(triple active bridge, TAB)DC/DC变换器由于采用双环PI控制结构,导致操作变量之间存在干扰,难以控制瞬态响应等问题。文献[4]表明在三端口双向DC/DC变换器中采用传统PI控制存在输出电压响应慢且超调大的缺点。对于输出电压实现快速稳定的控制,文献[5]提出了一种改进的电流前馈控制方法,减少稳定区的耦合来减小直流母线的电压波动。文献[6]提出了一种将负载电流前馈的控制方法,其无需电感等参数加入控制,在负载突变时,具有快速动态响应并且保持输出电压稳定不变,提高了变换器对负载变化的响应速度。
随着工业过程控制要求的不断提高,模型预测控制(model predictive control,MPC)具有控制效果好、动态响应快等优点,在实际复杂工业过程中得到非常广泛的应用[7]。文献[8]为实现Buck变换器预测控制的在线决策,提出一种简化离散模型的Buck变换器预测控制策略。文献[9]针对级联H桥(cascaded H-bridge,CHB)双向变换器+双向全桥变换器(dual active bridge DC/DC converter,DAB)拓扑的电能路由器,提出了一种基于二分查找寻优的直流侧输出电压预测控制。文献[10]是在模型预测代价函数中加入约束条件,通过对代价函数的约束使控制目标达到最优的效果。
通过文献分析在TPC的拓扑结构下,用于输出电压的MPC策略以提升动态响应的研究较少,因此,本文将模型预测控制引入TPC中,实现改善输出电压的快速动态响应,并通过对比实验验证了方法的可行性。
本文采用交错Buck/Boost电路(interleaved Buck/Boost circuitry,IBB)与双有源桥(DAB)集成三端口变换器(TPC)拓扑结构(IBB-DAB-TPC),如图1所示。其中,Upv为光伏端电压,Ub为电池端电压,Uo为输出端电压,L1和L2为直流输入滤波电感,变压器变比为nn=Nk/Ns),LP为变压器漏感与外加辅助电感之和。
IBB-DAB-TPC拓扑结构中,S1~S4开关管采用占空比控制(S1的占空比为D),S5与S1采用中心移相的方式进行控制,即脉冲宽度调制策略与移相调制策略相结合的调制策略(pulse width modulation + phase shift modulation,PWM+PSM),其时序波形如图2所示。变压器原边光伏输入端与蓄电池端口采用两桥臂功率管交错导通的控制方式,通过调节功率开关管占空比D来实现二者电压匹配;变压器副边功率开关管采用单移相控制方式,开关管S5~S8占空比固定为0.5,两桥臂功率管采用交错导通的控制方式。图2中,D1为原边占空比,即为DD2为副边移相调制占空比,即为0.5。
定义 δ 为原边开关管S1脉冲的中心与副边开关管中心的移相角, D δ为中心移相占空比, D δ = δ/TT为DAB工作时的周期。控制 D δ的大小即可控制输出功率的大小和方向。因此,TPC在PWM+PSM策略的调制方式下,能够得到变压器原、副边两侧电压分别为UabUcd。为使得变压器工作在高效状态下,令 D δ满足-0.25< D δ<0.25, D δ>0表示Ucd超前于Uab,此时功率正向传输; D δ<0表示Ucd滞后于Uab,此时功率反向传输。控制中,有两个控制自由度:原边占空比D满足原边光伏电压与电池电压的平衡;前后桥中心移相角δ用于调节功率传输大小及方向。
MPC具有动态响应速度快、控制效果好、鲁棒性强等优点。为改善IBB-DAB-TPC变换器动态跟踪性能,将模型预测算法引入TPC电路中以提高其输出动态特性,图3是基于MPC的TPC系统控制策略图。
基于MPC的输出电压控制分为以下几步:
1)将输出电压、电流、蓄电池电压的采样值、光伏储能端口控制环路得到的占空比值和输出电压的参考值输入到MPC中。
2)通过对TPC进行状态空间建模得到输出电压预测模型关系式,计算下一时刻的预测模型值。
3)将预测模型与参考电压之差的平方作为输出电压控制的代价函数。
4)求不同控制变量下代价函数的取值大小,将代价函数取最小值的中心移相占空比值作为副边开关管S5~S8的控制量。
交错Buck/Boost模型,是由两组双向Buck/Boost斩波电路并联于蓄电池和光伏端口,电感L1、开关管S1,S2为第一组,电感L2、开关管S3,S4为第二组,且第一、二组在一个周期(Ts)工作状态下,工作原理相似并在相位上相差半个周期。同一桥臂上、下管导通时电路又分为Buck和Boost工作模式,如图4所示。假设S1(S3)导通时间为DTsTs为IBB电路工作时的周期,则S2(S4)导通时间为(1-DTs,根据开关管导通与关闭的情况,分为图4a图4b两种情况。
通过等效状态电路,对单Buck/Boost电路进行状态空间建模。
1)当S2关断,S1导通时,电感和电容的状态方程可以表示为

在通过光伏和电池的控制环路控制后输出占空比值,将其作为DAB数学模型中的已知变量,实时更新到DAB平均值模型中得到整个TPC的状态空间平均值数学模型。同时为了将式(15)负载电阻的参数不确定性去除,通常将其用输出电压与电流的比值代替,最后得到TPC的输出电压预测模型为

输出电压随着原边占空比的变化而动态变化。根据得到的输出电压预测模型,将预测的k+1时刻输出电压值与参考电压值 u o *的差值平方得到遍历寻优的代价函数式如下:

图6是基于模型预测控制的中心移相占空比遍历寻优流程图,整个过程可以总结如下:首先将输出电压、电流、蓄电池电压的采样值、光伏储能端口控制环路的占空比值和输出电压的参考值作为模型预测控制的输入;然后通过TPC的输出电压预测模型计算下一时刻的预测模型,再将预测模型与参考电压之差的平方作为代价函数;最后将控制变量不同取值下的代价函数值进行比较,取代价函数最小值时的中心移相占空比值输出,将其作为副边开关管S5~S8的控制量。
根据上一节模型的建立与控制设计,TPC输出动态响应得到了加快,但输出负载电压会存在一定的稳态误差。根据式(18)可知,光储三端口的输出负载电压的代价函数主要与输出电流、开关频率、输出侧电容、变压器匝比、移相电感、原边开关占空比、蓄电池电压等值息息相关,可以分为三类,第一类为传感器采集值(iotk),ub);第二类为硬件参数及设定值(nLpCof);第三类为控制变量值(D)。
当只考虑第二类因素(主电路硬件参数设定值)的影响稳态误差,第一、三类因素不变化时,即为理想传感器且原边占空比不发生变化时,主要受到变压器变比n、电感值Lp、电容值Co和开关频率f的影响,其中变压器变比误差相对较小,因此忽略其影响,开关频率在控制中基本无误差,同时忽略其影响,在此只讨论电容和电感对输出电压的影响。
定义电感偏差率、电容偏差率分别如下:

电压偏差会导致 t k + 1时刻的输出实际电压为

因此,电感和电容值的偏差会导致输出电压出现稳态误差。
为了验证所提控制策略在IBB-DAB-TPC拓扑下的正确性与有效性,在图7所示的硬件平台条件下进行实验验证,光伏端口接入Chroma 62150型可编程模拟电源,用其实现对光伏的模拟,储能端口接入12 V或者24 V蓄电池,负载端口接入可灵活改变阻值大小的滑动变阻器,实现输出负载变化的模拟。表1列出了IBB-DAB-TPC的实验样机主要参数信息。
通过搭建的硬件平台,在TPC上进行如下实验:TPC输出负载电压突变响应实验和TPC输出电压稳定实验。通过实验验证了MPC策略对TPC输出性能的改善效果。
TPC输出负载电压突变响应实验是在Ub=12.6 V、光伏电压Upv=30 V以及Im=4 A的基础上进行的。图8图9分别是在PI控制和MPC策略下,TPC输出电压由80 V突变至120 V和由120 V突变至80 V的输出电压Uo和输出负载电流Io实验波形图。
图8中可以看出,基于PI控制的TPC输出电压突变,在80 V突变至120 V和120 V突变至80 V时,输出电压Uo和输出负载电流Io的调节时间约为50 ms;而从图9中可以看出,基于MPC策略下的TPC输出电压突变,在80 V突变至120 V和120 V突变至80 V时,输出电压Uo和输出负载电流Io的调节时间约为20 ms;电压的偏差约为2 V,两者均无超调。相比之下,在80 V突变至120 V和120 V突变至80 V时, MPC控制下的动态调节时间比PI控制下加快了60%。
图10a图10b分别是在PI控制、MPC控制下输出电压由0 V到110 V阶跃响应时,输出电压Uo和输出电流Io的实验波形图。
图10a中可以看出,在PI控制下,输出电压由0 V阶跃至110 V的调节时间为68 ms,超调为11.2 V。从图10b中可以看出,在MPC控制下,输出电压由0 V阶跃至110 V的调节时间为27 ms,无超调,输出电压为109 V,有约1 V的稳态电压误差。
TPC输出电压稳定实验是在Ub=12.6 V、光伏电压Upv=30 V及Im=4 A的基础上进行的。图11图12分别是输出电压环在PI控制和MPC控制下,负载由65 W突加载到125 W和125 W突减载至65 W的输出电压Uo和输出电流Io波形。
图11中可以看出在加、减载时,输出电压的动态调节时间约为25 ms,超调约为9 V;从图12中可以看出在加、减载时,输出电压的动态调节时间小于2 ms,加载时有约1 V电压跌落,减载时有约1 V电压抬升。从以上实验数据可知,MPC策略对TPC输出电压的动态响应加快和超调减少有了极大改善,提高了输出电压在加减载、光伏波动等情况下的电压质量。
本文针对光储三端口变换器输出电压环在传统PI控制下存在电压波动以及输出电压动态性能较差的问题,提出将模型预测控制引入到TPC中进行改善,并进行了传统PI控制与MPC策略下负载电压突变实验以及输出电压的稳定实验,通过实验结果验证了所提出控制策略在IBB-DAB-TPC的可行性。但由于光伏的模型较为复杂,存在超越方程,未搭建出整个系统的MPC策略,后续可以尝试简化光伏模型后,以实现整个系统的MPC。同时在动态性能得到提升时,在MPC策略下的稳态层面的效率与PI控制下有0.5%左右的误差,下一步可以尝试对MPC策略进行改进,尝试在输出电压控制的过程中,实时将输出电压与参考电压做差,将其差值和差值变化率输入到模糊控制器中,经过模糊控制处理后输出电流补偿量Δi,将其输入到代价函数中,从而调节代价函数的预测值来进行稳态层面效率的提升。
