As a critical component of the space transportation system, solid launch vehicle has advantages such as full-vehicle storage, versatility for sea-based and land-based launch, rapid response, and low requirements for launch support. The development process and overall technical scheme of Smart Dragon-3 solid rocket are introduced. In addition, the practical experience in the development of solid launch vehicles is drawn as a brief summery. Furthermore, the series development of solid launch vehicles is claimed, based on the analysis of the future positioning of solid rocket development. The carrying capacity of medium-sized solid launch vehicle needs to be improved, through research innovation, scale development and optimization of comprehensive cost. In this case, the demands of various launch orbits can be satisfied by the style of offhand sea launch.

As a critical component of the space transportation system, solid launch vehicle has advantages such as full-vehicle storage, versatility for sea-based and land-based launch, rapid response, and low requirements for launch support. The development process and overall technical scheme of Smart Dragon-3 solid rocket are introduced. In addition, the practical experience in the development of solid launch vehicles is drawn as a brief summery. Furthermore, the series development of solid launch vehicles is claimed, based on the analysis of the future positioning of solid rocket development. The carrying capacity of medium-sized solid launch vehicle needs to be improved, through research innovation, scale development and optimization of comprehensive cost. In this case, the demands of various launch orbits can be satisfied by the style of offhand sea launch.

固体运载火箭是航天运输系统的重要组成部分, 近年来,随着中国固体动力技术[1-3]和商业航天事业[4-5]的进步,固体运载火箭的发展方兴未艾。固体运载火箭具有整箭贮存、海陆通用、快速响应和发射保障要求低等特点, 既可为中小型卫星提供灵活和经济的发射选择, 亦可满足快速响应发射和星座灵活补网的多样化需求。
为满足中国日益旺盛的中低轨卫星发射市场需求[6-7],中国运载火箭技术研究院于2021年3月启动了捷龙三号(SD-3)固体运载火箭研制工作,在充分借鉴长征十一号运载火箭成熟技术和研制经验的基础上, 通过技术经济一体化手段, 打造了一款商业运载火箭[8]。2022年12月9日,捷龙三号火箭在中国黄海海域首飞并圆满成功, 成为国际上第1款可实施海上热发射且运载能力达到吨级以上的固体运载火箭。 SD-3已圆满完成5次发射任务, 将包括星网在内的民用、商业、国际等40余颗卫星送入预定轨道。
近十年来, 中国航天科技集团有限公司在 “型号系列化、产品通用化、发射方式多样化”的思想指导下,先后完成了长征十一号、捷龙三号等多型固体运载火箭的研制工作。中国航天科工集团有限公司的快舟系列固体运载火箭发展迅速, 其中快舟一号甲火箭成功在18天内完成4次高频次发射任务, 以此为基础构建了固体运载火箭系列化型谱, 在商业发射市场中形成全面竞争态势。商业航天公司固体运载火箭发展突飞猛进, 其中星际荣耀航天科技集团股份有限公司的双曲线一号实现了中国商业火箭公司首枚固体火箭成功入轨的突破;北京星河动力航天科技股份有限公司的谷神星一号目前已成功实施15次发射任务;东方空间(山东)科技有限公司的引力一号创造了世界最大规模固体运载火箭首飞纪录。
在上述多型商业固体运载火箭首飞并投入应用发射后, 商业火箭的发展重心转为可重复使用液体火箭的研制, 中国固体运载火箭从快速发展期进入了稳定平台期,固体运载火箭的后续发展也成为讨论热点。 本文在系统介绍捷龙三号固体运载火箭研制历程及总体技术方案的基础上, 结合固体运载火箭工程实践经验, 提出了对后续固体运载系列化发展的思考。
捷龙三号固体运载火箭由中国长征火箭有限公司出资研制, 在研制过程中秉承 “好、快、省” 的指导思想, 突破了大吨位固体运载火箭海上热发射、大头颈比火箭设计等关键技术,充分践行“把仿真当成实物试验对待” 的研制理念, 历时20个月完成研制并成功首飞(见图1)。根据发射市场调研和技术论证情况, 从技术继承、市场竞争和型谱发展等方面出发, 确定了海上热发射、1.5 t运载能力(500 km太阳同步轨道)、${3.35}\mathrm{\;m}$直径整流罩和四级固体发动机串联构型的火箭总体技术指标和系统方案。
图2所示, 捷龙三号固体运载火箭系统由运载火箭和地面设备组成, 其中运载火箭主要由动力系统、控制系统、测量系统、箭体结构系统、分离系统和安全自毁系统等组成, 地面设备主要由地面测发控系统和发射支持系统等组成。
火箭采用四级固体发动机串联布局, 总长约${31}\mathrm{\;m}$,总重约${140}\mathrm{t}$,箭体最大直径${2.64}\mathrm{\;m}$,整流罩直径${3.35}\mathrm{\;m}$。火箭大量采用成熟技术和产品,所选用的直径${2.64}\mathrm{\;m}$固体发动机经过了多次地面试车验证,箭上及地面电气系统充分继承已有型号产品状态, 并通过大量选用产品化通用两器, 大幅提升火箭系统总体方案技术成熟度, 降低研制成本。
火箭采用 “三平一垂” 的使用模式,即水平总装、水平测试、水平运输、整体起竖、垂直热发射。 整流罩适应水平对接和星罩组合体两种使用模式, 并可兼容海上和陆上两种发射模式, 全面提升任务适应能力, 降低发射场保障要求。火箭所采用的框式导向架垂直热发射方案属国际首创, 实现了中国运载火箭从海上冷发射到热发射的跨越。
图3所示, 在实施海上发射任务时, 火箭在山东海阳固体运载火箭基地完成全箭总装测试等技术准备工作, 进入任务阶段后, 在海阳厂房依次完成箭体水平测试、星箭对接、整流罩对接、全箭对接、转载前测试、转载至发射平台等工作,然后公路转运至海阳港码头登船, 完成箭船合练, 经海上运输至发射海域, 完成发射海域测试后择机实施发射。
火箭在应用发射阶段通过开展去任务化设计(见图4),箭体四级及以下产品具备批量化生产能力, 每发任务仅开展星箭接口相关的设计和研制工作, 自星箭接口控制文件签署之日至完成发射任务的履约周期可控制在4个月以内。同时, 通过推进发射场流程精细化工作, 在提高发射场操作一致性、提升测发质量管控水平的同时, 进一步简化总装测试和发射工作流程, 压缩发射周期, 提高发射效率[9]
捷龙三号火箭研制重点围绕海上热发射、大头罩特殊气动构型等关键技术开展攻关研究, 探索了以全数字仿真代替地面实物试验的研制新模式。
海上发射是一种安全、灵活、经济、高效的发射模式。采用海上发射模式, 可以大幅提升低倾角、零倾角卫星的轨道发射能力, 可以灵活选择发射点和航落区, 有效解决航落区安全性问题。在捷龙三号火箭研制之初,国外海上发射普遍采用 “固定发射平台+ 液体火箭”的模式, 而中国海上发射则采用 “船舶+ 冷弹射固体火箭”的模式, 上述方案均无法满足大吨位火箭海上广域发射需求。
图5所示, 针对上述需求首创提出了在普通船舶上采用 “适配器+导轨导向” 的导向热发射方案, 通过开展多种海态工况下的发射动力学仿真分析, 结合缩比热发射和发射平台起竖加载等多项集成试验验证, 攻克了动态环境下竖立稳定性技术, 取消了复杂的动态平稳支撑系统。通过火箭离架过程的力热多物理场耦合仿真, 解决了高海况条件下火箭发射所面临的稳定待发和安全起飞难题。同时, 通过对导向装置结构外形的优化设计, 箭体尾部负压降低了90%, 离架速度提高约30%,安全间隙提高1倍,大幅提升了发射安全性。
捷龙三号火箭具有典型的 “大头罩+细脖子” 特征, 气动构型突破了NASA给出的常规整流罩收缩直径比1.6的设计极限, 在火箭跨声速飞行时倒锥肩部的分离流动极其复杂, 可能存在由于脉动压力导致的抖振载荷、气动弹性问题。
针对大头颈比整流罩带来的抖振载荷、随机振动与控制稳定性问题, 基于自主可控软件 “天巽” 平台建立高保真脉动压力演化方法及模型(见图6), 通过模型参数分区设置的手段, 对跨声速段变马赫数飞行过程的脉动压力进行精确预示, 与遥测参数相比, 整流罩正锥和倒锥处脉动压力系数峰值预示偏差均小于15%,正锥与柱段交界处脉动压力峰值预示偏差相较于传统计算方法降低20% 以上。
针对气动弹性可能引起的气动负阻尼问题, 提出非定常流动降阶模型+基于模态的流固耦合仿真气动弹性高效预示方法, 代替复杂、昂贵的弹性模型气动阻尼试验获得了全箭气动阻尼特性, 并针对气动负阻尼造成的抖振风险进行系统性化解。
针对捷龙三号火箭研制周期短和研制经费省的要求, 践行 “把仿真当成实物试验对待” 的理念, 充分发挥了仿真和自主可控工业软件在获取设计参数和验证设计方案方面的作用(见图7)。借助 “天巽”、“天行”等自主可控工业软件, 针对 “大头罩” 引起的气动弹性问题, 完成了从脉动压力到抖振载荷设计再到结构适应性分析, 以及从脉动压力到力学环境设计再到控制系统适应性分析的全链路仿真分析工作;针对 “大头罩+小基础级”带来的整流罩分离-姿控耦合问题, 完成多专业联合仿真, 验证了整流罩分离方案的可靠性和姿控方案的适应性, 解决了商业软件无法从发动机工作开始仿真和无法独立控制半罩脱钩的问题。在研制中取消了全箭风洞试验、全箭模态试验等多项大型实物地面试验, 将总体大型地面试验数量缩减了50% 以上,开创了设计、仿真与有限地面试验相结合的总体研制新模式, 大幅缩短了研制周期。
海上发射可灵活选择发射点及航落区, 有效解决航落区安全性难题, 满足特殊轨道尤其是低倾角、零倾角轨道载荷的发射需求, 进一步增强多轨道任务适应能力。
发射保障能力是进入和利用空间的重要基础。目前, 中国四大陆地发射场发射工位有限, 以保障重大工程任务为主,随着发射需求的增加,发射保障资源越发紧张。现有航天发射场液体火箭工位难以满足后续大规模、高频次商业发射需求, 且新建沿海发射场存在投入成本大、审批周期长等问题, 难以满足持续增长的发射需求, 陆地发射工位资源将成为火箭发射任务的关键因素。固体火箭海上发射可大幅降低发射场保障要求, 有效释放现有陆地发射工位资源压力。
捷龙三号火箭初步形成了广东阳江海域和山东海阳海域的 “一南一北” 发射点位格局, 对各类发射任务具有良好的适应性, 如图8所示。针对不同目标轨道, 2个发射点位的组合可兼顾运载能力优和航落区安全性好的目标。当执行低倾角发射任务时, 可在海阳附近海域实施发射; 在执行太阳同步轨道发射任务时, 火箭可机动运输至阳江附近海域实施发射。当前, 基于海阳固体运载火箭基地保障条件, 捷龙三号火箭已具备年产不少于20发的总装测试能力, 依托生产、制造、发射一体化模式, 实现固体火箭 “出厂即发射”,在海阳近海执行发射时单次发射履约周期约6天,连续发射时2发任务最短间隔时间为9天, 大幅提升了任务实施效率。
低成本是商业火箭可持续发展的根本前提, 是其在商业市场竞争中能够脱颖而出的制胜法宝。火箭发射综合成本包括火箭自身成本、保险费、发射测控费3个部分。其中, 保险费取决于火箭发射的成功率, 无论是固体火箭还是液体火箭, 成功都是一切工作的基础和前提。固体火箭发射保障条件低,不需要加注推进剂, 发射周期短, 发射测控费相对液体火箭低1个数量级, 成为固体火箭相对液体火箭的天然优势。 从火箭成本的角度分析, 固体火箭无法通过可重复使用降低成本, 但固体火箭系统简洁, 便于规模化生产, 发射使用流程周期短, 因此固体火箭可从制造和使用两个角度去优化成本。
固体运载火箭可在平衡好高可靠和低成本天然矛盾的前提下,通过箭上电气系统融合设计、低成本材料工程应用、产品配套链条调整、测发流程优化等手段降低系统综合成本[10-11],并集中力量持续降低成本比重最大的固体发动机制造成本。固体火箭应朝着运载能力梯度合理的方向发展, 运载能力小的火箭满足更快履约的市场需求, 运载能力相对大的火箭则通过提升运载能力分担电气系统、结构系统及发射等固定费用, 提高经济性。同时, 加快提升规模化生产能力, 未来商业火箭必然朝着规模化方向发展, 而固体火箭具有良好的规模化制造条件。规模化制造和高频次发射不仅能够满足未来高密度发射的需求, 而且是火箭持续降低成本的内在动力。
捷龙三号火箭在总体设计、产品选用、试验验证等方面开展了大量创新性工作, 以有效控制商业火箭研制成本和单发火箭全要素、全流程、全周期成本。 首先, 通过技术创新、优化设计方案确定低成本基因,在研制初期,从体系、总体、系统、单机、基础能力、通用要求6个层面统筹考虑技术路线、系统架构、产品选型, 尽可能继承或选用已有型号重大技术基础、关键技术、成熟产品, 实现技术、产品、资源共享;其次,通过生产工艺优化,按标准化、产品化思路统型, 降低生产成本, 结构系统中金属舱段采用模块化标准舱段拼接结构, 有利于批量化大规模生产,大幅提高生产效率;再者,通过选用成熟产品、 电子元器件采用差异化管理降低成本, 在提高可靠性的同时, 减少了地面验证试验, 并有利于不同型号间组批生产, 同时电子元器件根据产品重要性精细化划定质量要求, 有效降低了部分非关键器件的选用等级, 产品成本控制在合理范围内; 此外, 进一步打造面向市场、开放包容的市场供应体系, 研制过程中探索了商业火箭市场化协作配套模式, 通过适度开放箭上金属部段、指挥控制及发射支持系统部分产品配套, 将市场化成本管控体系引入型号配套和经费管理, 逐步由 “计划配套” 向 “市场配套” 转型, 采用竟优竞价的方式有效控制实施成本;最后,全面地推行去任务化设计, 通过精细化全流程降低外场试验消耗, 通过组批投产、高频次发射实现高效益, 最大限度降低单次任务成本。
同时,作为一款商业火箭, 为控制型号研制成本, 保证研制进度, 解决技术风险高、研制周期短、研制经费少的多重矛盾, 捷龙三号火箭首次针对 “数字试验”提出了系统的设计规范, 形成了完整的试验流程, 制定了完善的评价准则, 全面纳入研制流程, 依托责任专家组、产品化队伍、自主可控工业软件团队统筹建设、协调发展,充分发挥了各团队优势力量,取消或减少了全箭模态、风洞、静力、分离等4类大型地面试验。实现了设计闭环, 缩短研制周期13个月, 减少试验配套1.3套, 节约研制经费1.05亿元。
捷龙三号火箭通过创新研制模式, 实现了火箭设计和研制效率双提升,研制周期和成本大幅降低,如图9所示。火箭在研制伊始, 确定了 “以激活工业软件新引擎创新仿真实践、以聚焦关键核心破难题创新研制模式” 的总体研制路线, 充分利用仿真手段及设计经验, 使用 “天巽” 软件首次完成 “全数字风洞” 试验, 使用 “天际” 和 “天象” 软件设计并迭代优化弹道, 使用 “天行” 软件保障火箭分离等关键环节的工程实现,通过创新总体研制模式,把仿真当成实物试验对待, 实现运载火箭研制工作由地面试验验证向仿真设计统筹转变、由仿真支撑试验向把仿真当试验转变、由国外工业软件向立足自主可控转变。
除履行 “顾问” 和 “校对” 职能的专家外,建立 “责任专家组”,组织跨部门的专家全程参与研制过程, 实现了运载火箭研制专家团队由个人能力保障向组织能力保障、由重点节点把关向深度参与把关、由提出意见建议向承担设计责任的三大转变。利用组织和专业的专家力量, 充分挖掘航天工程实践优势, 创新管理模式, 化解技术风险。
随着中国互联网星座计划的实施, 低轨卫星组网将成为中国未来商业航天发射的绝对 “主战场”,火箭发射需求缺口巨大, 如图10所示。综合卫星组网效率、组网方案和成本最优进行判断, 一般以一箭半轨或一箭一轨搭载发射为最佳。组网发射效率、经济性将是火箭市场竞争力的重要指标。
液体火箭可重复使用将成为降低成本的主要方向,一般认为,$6\mathrm{t}$以上运载能力的可重复火箭才能实现低成本,$6\mathrm{t}$以下运载能力依然是一次性火箭的 “领地”。其中, 一次性液体火箭受发射工位资源和批生产能力制约, 批量化发射难度较大。另一方面, 中国重复使用火箭将在2025-2026年陆续首飞,工程应用后将主要占据$6\mathrm{t}$以上运载能力的发射市场。固体火箭通过采用海上发射方式可实现发射资源独立, 同时依托海阳固体运载火箭基地生产、制造、发射一体化模式形成了较强的批生产能力, 可支持未来批量化、高频次发射。为此, 固体运载火箭应立足一次性使用,瞄准$6\mathrm{t}$以下运载能力进一步拓展规模,作为液体火箭的重要补充, 通过多样化的发射方式满足低轨卫星的发射需求。
中国${3.5}\mathrm{\;m}$直径大吨位固体发动机的研制成功, 为中型固体运载火箭的研制提供了先决条件。基于直径${3.5}\mathrm{\;m}$固体发动机的工程应用,中国运载火箭技术研究院完成了中型固体运载火箭的方案论证。
新一代中型固体火箭充分继承捷龙三号的成熟技术和研制经验, 采用四级固体串联总体构型, 箭体最大直径${3.5}\mathrm{\;m}$,整流罩直径${4.2}\mathrm{\;m}$,主要面向未来大型星座组补网市场,具备${500}\mathrm{\;{km}}$太阳同步轨道$4\mathrm{t}$以上运载能力,综合批生产能力、发射资源、快速发射能力等优势, 与同等运载能力的液体火箭相比, 具备较强市场竞争力。
火箭兼容陆上和海上两种发射模式, 采用火箭箭体和星罩组合体分别运输, 在发射工位完成箭体起竖、星罩组合体垂直对接后实施测发的使用模式。如图11所示, 火箭海上发射时采用半潜式海上平台, 在执行任务前, 半潜式海上平台机动至发射点位。火箭在山东海阳固体运载火箭基地完成总装测试后, 通过海上运输至平台开展后续测发工作。
新一代中型固体运载火箭将与已有固体运载火箭一起, 形成一个梯度合理、技术成熟、生产保障条件共享的固体运载火箭型谱, 通过现有固体发动机的串并联组合, 不同型号间产品通用、组批投产, 整体提升系列内各型火箭经济性, 持续打造捷龙系列固体运载火箭(如图12所示)。捷龙系列火箭${500}\mathrm{\;{km}}$太阳同步轨道的运载能力覆盖${0.2}\sim 4\mathrm{t}$,整流罩直径覆盖${1.2}\sim$${4.2}\mathrm{\;m}$,适应陆上和海上两种发射方式,可在酒泉、 太原、西昌等陆地发射场及中国沿海海域执行发射任务, 充分发挥固体运载火箭的优势, 提供更为灵活、 经济、多样化的航天发射能力。
随着低轨互联网及商业遥感星座的推出, 商业固体火箭具有良好的市场需求前景。捷龙三号固体运载火箭在研制中充分借鉴成熟技术, 实践 “把仿真当成实物试验对待” 的理念, 在较短时间内完成了技术攻关和研制, 提供了一种商业火箭研制的新范式。捷龙三号火箭基于海上发射的灵活性和自主性、固体运载火箭批生产保障能力等优势, 以及 “一南一北” 发射点位布局, 进一步提升了中国航天发射能力,增强了多样性。
面对星座组补网需求,应在$6\mathrm{t}$以下运载能力区间研制新一代中型固体运载火箭, 向下衔接现有固体运载火箭型号, 构建运载能力覆盖公斤级至吨级、海陆兼容、高性价比的固体运载火箭系列型谱, 并与新一代液体火箭一起构成商业火箭产品套装, 建立梯度合理、灵活多样和结构稳定的航天运输能力体系。
