The floating cylindrical structures, such as the floating frame of the fish farming and the floating bodies of wave energy convertor and so on, are generally semi-submerged. However, the investigation on the hydrodynamics on such floating cylinders are few. This status makes the design and analysis of the relevant new structures face the essential problems of the force input uncertainty. The hydrodynamic forces on a semi-submerged cylinder were experimentally investigated under the combined influence of steady and oscillatory flow. To simulate the equivalent combined flow, the cylinder towed by the carriage was forced to oscillate with different amplitudes and periods. A significant mean downward lift force was observed for the semi-submerged cylinders, which was obviously larger than that of the mean drag force. Moreover, the relationship between the hydrodynamic coefficients and multi-sensitive parameters was revealed. It is confirmed that the KC number has a weak influence on the coefficients. The Froude number is seen to be the most important parameter affecting the hydrodynamic coefficients. The empirical models for predicting hydrodynamic coefficients in combined flow are initially developed. This work can provide useful references for the design of the related marine structures and serve as the valuable guideline for future research.

顺应式的漂浮柔性圆柱型结构物,如深海养殖结构物的浮圈结构、波浪能发电装置的浮体部分等,大多是半浸没的。目前,学术界和工程界对半浸没圆柱的水动力特性了解较少,也使这些新型结构物在设计和分析时面临着载荷输入不确定性的难题。本文通过定常流和振荡流共同作用下半浸没柱体模型实验,开展半浸没柱体水动力载荷特性研究。实验中,由拖车带动半浸没柱体向前运动模拟等效定常流场,强迫柱体以不同振幅和周期振荡来模拟等效振荡流场。实验结果表明,在来流作用下半浸没柱体不可避免会遭受显著的平均升力作用,远大于其所受阻力载荷。研究揭示了水动力系数与多敏感参数的影响关系,确证了KC数对水动力系数影响较弱,总傅汝德数是水动力系数的主控参数,初步建立了流致半浸没柱体水动力载荷系数模型。本文工作可为相关海洋结构物的设计提供有益的指导。

顺应式的漂浮柔性圆柱型结构物,如深海养殖结构物的浮圈结构、波浪能发电装置的浮体部分等,大多是半浸没的。目前,学术界和工程界对半浸没圆柱的水动力特性了解较少,也使这些新型结构物在设计和分析时面临着载荷输入不确定性的难题。本文通过定常流和振荡流共同作用下半浸没柱体模型实验,开展半浸没柱体水动力载荷特性研究。实验中,由拖车带动半浸没柱体向前运动模拟等效定常流场,强迫柱体以不同振幅和周期振荡来模拟等效振荡流场。实验结果表明,在来流作用下半浸没柱体不可避免会遭受显著的平均升力作用,远大于其所受阻力载荷。研究揭示了水动力系数与多敏感参数的影响关系,确证了KC数对水动力系数影响较弱,总傅汝德数是水动力系数的主控参数,初步建立了流致半浸没柱体水动力载荷系数模型。本文工作可为相关海洋结构物的设计提供有益的指导。

The floating cylindrical structures, such as the floating frame of the fish farming and the floating bodies of wave energy convertor and so on, are generally semi-submerged. However, the investigation on the hydrodynamics on such floating cylinders are few. This status makes the design and analysis of the relevant new structures face the essential problems of the force input uncertainty. The hydrodynamic forces on a semi-submerged cylinder were experimentally investigated under the combined influence of steady and oscillatory flow. To simulate the equivalent combined flow, the cylinder towed by the carriage was forced to oscillate with different amplitudes and periods. A significant mean downward lift force was observed for the semi-submerged cylinders, which was obviously larger than that of the mean drag force. Moreover, the relationship between the hydrodynamic coefficients and multi-sensitive parameters was revealed. It is confirmed that the KC number has a weak influence on the coefficients. The Froude number is seen to be the most important parameter affecting the hydrodynamic coefficients. The empirical models for predicting hydrodynamic coefficients in combined flow are initially developed. This work can provide useful references for the design of the related marine structures and serve as the valuable guideline for future research.

深海养殖重力式网箱的浮圈、波浪能发电柱状浮子、海面溢油清理的围油栏等海洋结构物可视为半浸没柱体。半浸没柱体服役过程中不可避免会遭受洋流及波浪作用。在这种定常洋流与波浪诱导的振荡流场联合作用下,由于自由表面畸变和水体破碎等强非线性因素,半浸没柱体将产生非常复杂的水动力响应现象,继而对相关结构物造成破坏。对于定常及振荡流下半浸没柱体的水动力载荷及其响应目前尚未得到深刻认识,这使得相关结构物服役时可能会遭受未知的安全风险。因此,开展定常及振荡流场下半浸没柱体水动力载荷特性研究十分必要。
圆柱绕流问题一直受到工业界和学术界广泛关注,针对该问题的研究可分为三类:无限水深的完全浸没柱体、近自由表面柱体以及部分浸没柱体。目前对第一类柱体的研究比较成熟。Achenbach等[1]设计了定常流状态下刚性柱体完全浸没实验,研究了雷诺数和水动力载荷之间的关系;Keulegan[2]测量了在振荡流下全浸没柱体所受水动力,并通过傅里叶分析计算了水动力系数;Sarpkaya[3]研究了圆柱体在正弦波形式的振荡流下的受力情况,结果表明水动力系数与Re数、Keulegan-Carpenter(KC)数及圆柱体表面的相对粗糙度有关。以上研究为揭示自由表面对柱体水动力的影响提供了研究思路以及数据参考。
同第一类柱体相比,对近自由表面和部分浸没柱体的研究较少。针对近自由表面柱体,现有的研究主要集中在定常流下。Roshko[4]研究了定常流下柱体所受升、阻力,并讨论了两者和浸没间隙比的关系;Bearman等[5]进一步观察到,自由表面对响应频率有极大影响;Reichl等[6]和Sheridan等[7]用数值模拟对定常流下近自由表面圆柱体的运动机理进行了研究。
针对部分浸没柱体,Triantafyllou等[8]证实了半浸没柱体在定常流作用下的稳定性受傅汝德数的影响;Kristiansen等[9]对半浸没柱体进行了水动力实验,将柱体固定在自由水面上研究其波浪载荷和上浪现象;Fu等[10]采用三维水弹性理论,计算了半浸没柱体在规则波中的动态响应。
本文开展定常及振荡流场联合作用下半浸没柱体水动力特性实验研究。文中首先详细介绍本实验的实验装置及实验工况。继而,对关键影响参数和水动力系数的识别方法进行阐述。最后,系统对比定常流、振荡流及组合流场下半浸没柱体载荷及载荷系数特征,探讨水动力系数与关键影响参数之间的关系,初步开展半浸没柱体水动力载荷系数预报的经验模型研究。
本实验在上海船舶运输科学研究所的拖曳水池中完成。该水池长192 m,宽10 m,深4.2 m,拖车最大速度为9 m/s,速度精度为0.001 m/s。实验装置通过支架安装在拖车的下方,由水平轨道、垂直轨道、半浸没柱体以及挡流板组成。拖车带动实验装置拖曳柱体模型形成均匀来流,水平轨道驱动柱体以不同振幅和周期振荡来模拟振荡流场。垂直轨道由伺服电机驱动,用于调节柱体浸没深度。实验装置示意图如图1所示。半浸没柱体模型长度(L)为2 m,直径(D)为0.25 m,由PP材料加工而成,表面光滑,实验装置如图2所示。
为了消除柱体模型端部连接处的边界效应,在圆柱体两端安装了直径为0.25 m的假体,圆柱与假体之间保留很小的间距(<1 mm)。同时,在假体外侧安装挡流板,挡流板直径为0.75 m,以减小端部结构在强迫振荡过程中对模拟的等效振荡流场的影响。实验使用三分力传感器采集半浸没柱体模型所受的水动力,并由电机编码器同步记录柱体模型的运动位移和速度信息。
为了测试该装置的可靠性,在正式实验开始前,将柱体模型完全浸入水中,并以恒定速度拖曳。图3所示为拖曳速度U0=0.4 m/s时,柱体在来流方向所受水动力时历。整个过程包含初始阶段、过渡阶段、稳定阶段和最终阶段四部分。该工况下柱体在来流方向所受平均阻力FXM为47.3 N,相应的阻力系数Cd可由下式计算得出:
式中,ρ为水的密度,取为1000 kg/m3。由实验装置测量的阻力结果,经计算其完全浸没状态下平均阻力系数Cd约为1.18,与Achenbach和Heinecke报告[1]中的结果相一致,这样就证明了本实验装置的可靠性。
为了模拟定常流及波浪次生的振荡流流场作用,实验中,柱体模型由拖车拖曳以模拟等效定常流场,强迫其在来流方向做简谐运动以模拟振荡流场,两者组合则可模拟等效的定常和振荡组合流场。柱体模型强迫运动时的瞬时位移Xt)和相应的运动速度Ut)可分别表示为
式中,Am为强迫振荡振幅,T为强迫振荡周期。
当水流经半浸没柱体时,会产生自由表面效应。因此,惯性力和粘性力在半浸没柱体水动力中将同时起到重要作用。在圆柱绕流过程中,影响作用在柱体上水动力的关键参数为KC[11],而考虑自由表面效应等对浮体水动力载荷影响则采用傅汝德数(Fr)来进行表征。由此可见,KC数和Fr是半浸没柱体水动力特性的两个关键参数。需要注意的是,定常流作用下傅汝德数为定值,而振荡流作用下傅汝德数随时间变化。为了方便描述,本文定义了恒定傅汝德数(Fr)和振荡傅汝德数(Fr*)来描述定常流和振荡流下的水动力特性。上述参数分别表示为

为了揭示半浸没柱体在定常流场和振荡流共同作用下的水动力特征,本工作开展了定常流、振荡流分别作用及两者共同作用下半浸没柱体水动力载荷模型实验。前两者为实验对比工况,后者为正式工况。实验示意图分别如图4(a)~(c)所示,其中h为圆柱模型底部距自由表面的距离,IL为拖车拖曳模拟的来流方向,CF为与来流方向相垂直的方向。本实验中定常流流速范围为0.4~1.2 m/s,强迫振荡幅值(Am)为0.25~1.5 m,振荡周期(T)为5.5~11.5 s,具体工况见表1
作用在海洋大型浮体结构上的水动力一般由有势力主导,流体粘性引起的力可以忽略。而作用于细长结构物上的水动力由粘性主导,势流理论无法准确计算作用于这种细长结构物上的水动力。为了解决细长结构物水动力难以计算的问题,Morison等[12]提出一种半经验的计算公式用于求解此类问题,这一公式被称为Morison公式。其基本思想是将作用在细长结构物上的水动力分解为两部分:其一是流体质点与细长结构相对速度平方成正比的拖曳力,另一部分是与流体质点和细长结构相对加速度成正比的惯性力。具体表达式为
式中,UH分别代表流体质点与结构的相对速度和相对加速度;CdCm分别代表半浸没柱体所受阻力系数和附加质量系数,采用最小二乘法对其进行辨识。
为了描述方便,本文引入下述变量:

针对半浸没柱体在IL方向所受的水动力,Ren等[13-14]首次提出在定常流和振荡流单独作用下柱体所受水动力的经验模型。通过该经验模型可知,CF方向的力与IL方向相对速度的平方成正比。根据以上研究,我们推断定常流流和振荡流联合作用下CF方向的水动力可以表示为
式中,FYP代表CF方向的预测力,CL代表升力系数,采用最小二乘法对其进行辨识。根据式(15),CL可以表示为

图5(a)~(c)分别为定常流、振荡流以及组合流作用下半浸没柱体水动力载荷时历图,其中蓝线和红线分别代表柱体在顺流向(inline flow,IL)和横流方向(cross-flow,CF)受力FXFY。如图5(a)所示,在流速为1.2 m/s的定常流作用下,半浸没柱体所受升力均值FYM为454 N,远大于阻力均值FXM (106 N)。同定常流相似,如图5(b)和(c)所示,在振荡流和组合流作用下仍然能观测到很大的升力。在图5(b)中,KC=31.4,Fr=0.83,升力标准差(STD)为89 N,IL方向对应力的标准差为55 N;在图5(c)中,U0=1.2 m/s,KC=31.4,Fr=0.83,该工况下CF方向和IL方向所受水动力的标准差分别为383 N和147 N,升力标准差约为IL方向对应力的2.6倍。根据以上分析可知,在不同来流下半浸没柱体都会受到很大的升力,如此大的升力会对结构物造成很大的破坏,在实际工程中不可忽略。
除了上述IL和CF方向的水动力外,满溢和抨击现象也应该受到重视(如图6所示)。如图5区域Ⅰ所示,当瞬时流速达到临界值时会发生满溢现象。在满溢状态下,由于水体变形和波浪破碎,柱体在IL方向的压力差并不随瞬时速度的增加而继续增大,升力曲线最高点附近较为平缓。同时在区域Ⅱ,当半浸没柱体向后移动时,可以清楚地观察到抨击现象。由于“水体附着”效应,柱体向前运动时带动周围水体也随之运动。当柱体突然改变运动方向,受到惯性的影响,柱体后方的水体继续向前运动,两者发生剧烈的撞击从而产生高频力。抨击和满溢现象会引起半浸没柱体瞬时水动力的突变,在对相关结构物的强度进行设计和校核时需要进一步考虑。
本节利用第二章提出的水动力系数辨识方法,总结了不同来流下半浸没柱体在横流向和顺流向的水动力载荷系数。Ren[14-15]等已经计算了定常流下不同浸没深度柱体的水动力载荷系数,因此本文主要对组合流下的柱体进行研究,并将结果同振荡流进行对照。
(1)阻力及附加质量系数
在振荡流中不同KC数下柱体水动力系数与Fr*分布规律如图7所示,其中图7(a)为阻力系数Cd图7(b)为附加质量系数Cm。当KC<20时,阻力系数CdFr*的增加而减小,当KC>20时,CdFr*的增大而线性增大。在图7(b)中,当KC<20时,随着Fr*的增加,附加质量系数Cm非线性增加,当KC>20时,随着Fr*的增加,Cm呈线性增加趋势。整体来看两者均有从非线性到线性上升的演变趋势。
为了进一步探究定常流和振荡流共同作用下半浸没柱体水动力系数特性,本文分析了在组合流作用下Fr*与水动力系数关系,如图8~10所示。图8中定常流流速较小(U0=0.4 m/s),无满溢现象发生。该工况下CdKC数影响较小,始终保持在0.2左右,小于图7所示振荡流作用下柱体所受阻力系数。分析其原因,主要是因为组合流中定常流的存在导致水体的叠加效应减弱。在振荡流单独作用下,柱体运动带动周围的水体加速运动。当柱体运动方向发生变化时,由于惯性的存在,水体仍然保持原方向继续向前运动。这就导致柱体周围的流场速度大于振荡流的强迫运动速度。而在组合流作用下,当拖曳速度和柱体运动方向相同时,柱体周围附着水体的运动不会和柱体运动相叠加。因此纯振荡流下的阻力系数要比组合流下的略大。
CmFr*的分布如图8(b)所示,Fr*<0.7时,由于自由表面畸变较弱,Cm保持在0.5左右,该现象与无自由表面扰动情况下的势流理论结果相一致。当Fr*>0.7时,CmFr*的增大而增大。同如上所述,在较低Fr*下,背景流中的定常流削弱了水体附着效应,随着Fr*的增大,水体附着效应逐渐占据主导地位。
U0增大到1.2 m/s时,柱体所受水动力系数如图9所示。此时在高Fr*下有满溢现象发生,临界Fr*约为0.6。随着Fr*的增加,Cd始终稳定在0.2~0.4左右,与组合流下U0=0.4 m/s时的数值接近。在非满溢区,Cm保持在0.8左右。当Fr*>0.6,间歇性满溢现象发生,随着Fr*的增大Cm呈显著下降趋势,造成该变化趋势的原因主要是由于满溢引发的空化现象。
当定常流增大到2 m/s时,即使在小Fr*下也会发生满溢现象,如图10所示。对比图8图9发现,定常流速U0对阻力系数影响较小,对Cm影响较大。当U0=2 m/s时,阻力系数同样位于0.2~0.4区间,但附加质量系数明显大于图9,最大的附加质量系数可以达到3.8。主要是因为该工况下满溢现象是连续的,水体附着效应更明显。同时随着Fr*的增加,空化现象越来越严重,导致附加质量系数有明显的下降趋势。
(2)升力系数
图11显示了在纯振荡流中不同KC数下升力系数CLFr*数的变化情况。整体来看,当KC≤31.4时,CLFr数的增大而增大,而当KC>31.4时,CLFr*的增大而减小。同时可以观察到在同一Fr*下,CL要远远大于Cd。在高Fr*下,CL约为1.4,Cd约为0.3,两者有大约5倍的差异。
图12进一步给出了在U0=0.4 m/s、1.2 m/s和2.0 m/s的组合流中,不同KC数下升力系数与Fr*数的分布情况,整体来看CLKC数相关性较弱。U0=0.4 m/s时,升力系数随Fr*的增加缓慢增大,但整体保持在1.0左右,远大于该工况下柱体所受阻力系数。通过对比纯振荡流下的CL可以发现组合流下的升力系数明显减小,原因同样可以归结为定常流的存在导致组合流下叠加效应减弱。
当定常流流速增加到1.2 m/s时,由于满溢现象的出现,升力系数会发生突变。在非满溢区CL稳定在1.2左右,接近U0=0.4 m/s工况下CL的最大值。随着Fr*进一步增大,柱体附近水体自由表面升高,出现间歇性满溢现象。此时半浸没柱体上下表面压力差减少,升力系数呈下降趋势,与Fr呈现明显的二次关系。
U0=2.0 m/s时,升力系数整体上依然和Fr*呈现二次方关系。但由于持续性满溢现象越来越剧烈,柱体周围波浪破碎和表面畸变严重,二次曲线上出现了离散点,这给柱体所受升力系数的预报带来很大困难。关于该问题将会在下一节进行研究。当定常流流速增加到1.2 m/s时,由于满溢现象的出现,升力系数会发生突变。在非满溢区CL稳定在1.2左右,接近U0=0.4 m/s工况下CL的最大值。随着Fr*进一步增大,柱体附近水体自由表面升高,出现间歇性满溢现象。此时半浸没柱体上下表面压力差减少,升力系数呈下降趋势,与Fr呈现明显的二次关系。
根据上述研究发现,在组合流作用下,水动力系数的变化与KC数无关,其分布特征主要受傅汝德数的影响。为了进一步分析傅汝德数与水动力系数的相关性,本文引入总傅汝德数Frm的概念,其表达式为
基于该参数,在振荡流和组合流作用下柱体所受水动力系数的变化趋势如图13所示。蓝色圆和红色矩形分别代表组合流和振荡流作用下半浸没柱体所受水动力系数,灰色区域为满溢现象发生区域。由图可以看出:
(1)CdFrm和满溢现象的影响较小,整体上呈离散分布,但始终稳定在0.2~0.4之间。且由于叠加效应的影响,振荡流单独作用下半浸没柱体所受阻力系数要稍大于组合流作用下的阻力系数。
(2)满溢现象发生前后,Cm会发生突变。在非满溢区,CmFrm的增加线性增大,同Cd相似,振荡流作用下的附加质量系数值略大。随着满溢现象的发生,水体变形和波浪破碎严重,Cm分布较为离散,但整体变化趋势由线性增大转为线性减小。因此,可以初步建立起不同背景流下的半浸没柱体附加质量系数经验模型为
(3)振荡流单独作用下,CL分布比较稳定。随着Frm的增加,CL始终保持在1.42左右。在定常流和振荡流共同作用下,CLFrm保持良好的二次函数关系,拐点在临界Frm附近。在拐点之前,升力系数缓慢增加;当到达拐点处,满溢现象发生,柱体上下表面压力差减小,呈下降趋势。根据以上分布特征可以建立升力系数预测模型,如公式(21)所示:
上述经验模型减少了振荡流和组合流作用下半浸没柱体水动力系数预测所需参数,为相关结构的设计提供了理论支撑。但是由于没有足够多的试验工况,无法进一步确定振荡流下满溢现象发生后Frm对水动力系数的影响。在后续的研究中,将在更大范围的傅汝德数下进行更系统、更全面的实验,进一步研究柱体水动力系数的影响因素。
本文研究了定常流和振荡流共同作用下半浸没柱体在顺流向和横流向的水动力载荷特征,为了模拟等效的组合流场,柱体由拖车牵引向前运动的同时被迫以不同振幅和周期振荡,实验中观察了满溢现象以及KC数和Fr对水动力系数的影响,主要结论如下:
(1)同定常流和振荡流相似,组合流作用下半浸没柱体依然受到很大的升力,最大升力系数CL可达1.2,远大于其所受阻力系数(0.2~0.4),如此大的升力可能引起结构的破坏,在实际工程中应予以考虑。
(2)在组合流作用下,半浸没柱体所受水动力系数和KC数有明显的独立性,Fr是影响水动力系数的关键因素;
(3)满溢现象的发生是由总傅汝德数决定的。根据水动力载荷系数随总傅汝德数的分布规律,本文初步建立了不同来流下水动力系数预报的经验模型。
以上工作可为非定常流下半浸没柱体的水动力计算提供参考,在今后的工作中还需要在更大的参数范围内,进行更为系统的半浸没柱体水动力载荷模型实验。
