For the coupled analysis of tank motion and liquid sloshing, a coupled iteration algorithm was established by involving the Hilber-Hughes-Taylor implicit method for tank motion and the VOF method for liquid sloshing. By application into the experiment designed for a liquid tank of rolling system, the algorithm was validated by comparison of the numerical calculation and experiment results. An effective method was finally presented for analysis of tank motion coupled with liquid sloshing.

本文针对液舱运动与流体晃荡耦合运动问题,采用基于Hilber-Hughes-Taylor(HHT)格式的隐式直接积分法求解液舱运动,应用VOF法捕捉流体晃荡自由表面运动,建立液舱运动与流体晃荡双向耦合迭代算法。将算法应用到某转动液舱系统的模型试验中,通过数值计算结果与试验结果的比较验证算法的有效性。本文建立的分析方法可为液舱运动与流体晃动耦合运动问题提供一种有效的分析方法。

For the coupled analysis of tank motion and liquid sloshing, a coupled iteration algorithm was established by involving the Hilber-Hughes-Taylor implicit method for tank motion and the VOF method for liquid sloshing. By application into the experiment designed for a liquid tank of rolling system, the algorithm was validated by comparison of the numerical calculation and experiment results. An effective method was finally presented for analysis of tank motion coupled with liquid sloshing.

随着液化天然气(LNG)作为绿色高效能源的快速发展,LNG运输船以及以LNG作为燃料的双燃料船型需求急剧增长。目前,世界范围内采用的LNG液舱主要分为薄膜型和自支撑式两种[1]。其中独立B型棱形液舱属于独立型的一种,其最开始是由日本IHI公司设计建造[2],称为SPB(Self-supporting Prismatic Shape IMO Type B)。SPB具有上甲板宽而平、没有装载限制、可靠性高、易于经营和维护等优点。
晃荡是一种非常复杂的流体运动现象,呈现出很强的非线性和随机性[3]。Faltinsen等[4]曾基于线性势流理论在晃荡幅值较小的情况下对液舱晃荡进行了研究,然而在剧烈晃荡的情况下,液面伴随有波面破碎、飞溅和合并等强非线性运动现象[5],理论分析方法已很难适用,目前主要通过模型试验和数值模拟进行研究。数值模拟液体晃荡的关键问题是如何描述自由液面的变化,因此一系列捕捉或追踪自由液面运动的方法和技术得到了发展。其中有基于网格的MAC(Marker and Cell)法、VOF(Volume of Fluid)法、Ls(Level-set)法、CIP(Constrained Interpolation Profile)法,基于无网格的SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics)法、MPS(Moving Particle Semifinal Implicit)法、MLPG(Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin)法等[6]。沈猛等[7]采用VOF法和混合自由表面边界速度条件对棱形液舱液体晃荡进行了分析。Nagashima[8]应用有限元法并结合Level-set法研究了不同装载下液舱的晃荡,并与理论和试验结果进行了对比。Cao等[9]应用SPH法对矩形液舱晃荡进行了研究。
薄膜型LNG舱作为主船体结构不可分割的一部分,其晃荡研究一般将液舱和船体作为一个刚性整体,将船体运动激励直接作用在刚性壁上。独立B型棱形液舱的支撑结构相对于刚性液舱边界而言属于弹性体结构,船体运动激励需要通过弹性支撑结构传递到液舱内部,从而诱发舱室内部的液体晃荡运动,其晃荡问题是考虑弹性支撑结构作用下液舱运动与液舱内流体晃荡相互耦合的动力学问题。液舱运动与流体晃荡的相互作用问题最先开始于高位水塔和高楼上的液体晃荡减震装置上。Bulian等[10]建立了某调谐液体阻尼器在转动激励作用下的结构动力学方程,方程的相关系数结合试验来确定,采用SPH法模拟液体晃荡运动,将计算出的流体载荷与上述建立的动力学方程进行耦合计算,并与试验进行了对比。
本文针对液舱运动与流体晃荡耦合运动问题,建立液舱横摇转动与流体晃荡耦合作用动力学方程,引入基于Hilber-Hughes-Taylor(HHT)[11]格式的隐式直接积分法求解液舱运动方程,运用CFD求解流体方程,采用VOF法捕捉自由液面运动,并引入部分单元参数[12]处理棱形液舱边界,建立液舱运动与流体晃荡双向耦合迭代算法。为了验证该数值方法的有效性,将本文中的算法应用到Bulian等建立的试验模型中,通过数值计算结果与试验结果的比较来验证算法的适用性。
带有弹性支承的液舱晃荡模型如图1所示,液舱横摇运动动力学方程为
式中,I0为体系的总惯性矩,Cθ为液舱转动阻尼,Kθ为液舱转动刚度,θ分别为液舱的转角、角速度和角加速度,Mex为外部激励力矩,Mfluid为液体晃荡运动对液舱的作用力矩,Mg为液舱重力引起的力矩。
对船体施加正弦位移激励,将对船体的激励转化为对液舱的力矩:
式中,φ0为位移激励幅值;ωex为位移激励圆频率;β0为相位差,β0 = arctan(Cθωex/Kθ)。
流体作用在液舱上的力矩为流体在液舱壁以及内部构件表面压力积分的结果,其中压力由流体方程计算得到,液舱重力作用力矩为
式中,HoHg分别为液舱转动中心的高度和液舱重心的高度。
式(1)为二阶非线性微分方程,运用t时刻液舱运动瞬时状态量通过流体方程求出Mfluidθt),通过式(3)求出Mgθ),代入式(1),则原二阶非线性微分方程转换成t时刻二阶线性微分方程,采用HHT法进行离散求解。HHT法以Newmark法为基础,具有绝对稳定性,并且在保证二阶精度的基础上对数值结果引入数值阻尼,从而有效抑制了数值计算过程中尤其是初始状态的数值震荡。HHT法递推公式如下:
上述方程为方程(1)在时间步tn + 1的离散形式,其中,迭代步长为h。对每一时步进行迭代运算,具体步骤如图2流程图所示。其中,C为系统阻尼,K为初始刚度,K*为有效刚度矩阵,δ为收敛条件中的预设小量。
本文运用VOF来求解自由表面运动,通过引入体积分数F来捕捉自由表面的变化,F代表流体的体积与整个网格单元体积的比值。同时引入单元参数[12]的概念,考虑体积通度λ以后,假设液体不可压缩,以随液舱运动的动参考系为坐标系统,流体相控制方程中的连续性方程、动量方程和体积输运方程可分别表示为
式中,为流体质点速度矢量,ρpμ分别为流体密度、压强、体积力和动力粘性系数,D/Dt为随体导数。
体积力包括重力和由于流体控制域的非匀速运动而引起的惯性力:
式中,分别为重力加速度矢量和角速度矢量;分别为在大地坐标系中流体质点的位置矢量和晃荡中心的位置矢量;上式等号右侧后三项分别为角加速度项、科氏加速度项和离心力引起的加速度项。
对于粘性流体,其在固壁上满足不可滑移条件和固壁不可穿透条件:
式中,分别为切向和法向单位矢量;为液舱相对于连体坐标系的速度,当不考虑液舱壁变形时为0。
在自由表面上,流体必须同时满足运动学边界条件和动力学边界条件:
式中,unut分别为自由表面上的法向速度和切向速度,p0为舱室内蒸汽压力。
采用交错网格,压力p、体积分数F定义在网格中心,速度定义在网格的边界中心,采用有限差分法,均匀网格离散。压力梯度∇p和扩散项采用中心差分离散,强非线性项则采用迎风格式与中心差分格式相结合的混合差分格式,以保证计算的稳定性和精度。
自由表面的重构是VOF中的重要部分,本文采用计算精度较高的Youngs法对自由表面进行重构[13]。计算中采用预测-矫正法解决不可压缩流动的压力-速度耦合问题[14-15],在每个时间步内,首先忽略压力梯度项,通过动量方程求出预测速度,进而得到压力泊松方程,使用逐次超松弛迭代对该方程进行求解,最后用压力梯度对预测速度进行校正。
文中采用迭代耦合的方法求解双向运动与流体耦合系统,其主要思想是流体方程和运动方程分别按顺序相互迭代求解,在每一步将各自得到的结果提供给对方,直到耦合系统的解达到收敛后迭代停止。具体步骤如下:从液舱运动计算模块开始,将计算得到的角位移、角速度和角加速度传递给流体计算模块,流体计算模块由传递来的数据计算得到流体对液舱的力矩,再将力矩传递给液舱运动计算模块进行下一步的计算,如此不断循环。
Bulian等开展的试验是基于一个纯转动动力系统而设计的,整个动力学系统由3个部分组成:滑动质量块、刚性液舱、流体。滑动质量块作为外部激励源在滑道上运动对液舱施加弯矩,刚性液舱在滑块施加的弯矩作用下绕固定轴转动,从而引起液舱内液体的晃荡。滑块结构和试验液舱模型如图3所示,液舱的主要参数如表1所示。
由于整个系统为纯转动系统,整个系统运动可以通过角动量进行描述。如图4(a)所示,作用在液舱上的弯矩包括:(1)滑动质量块作用在液舱的弯矩Mmass/tank,(2)液舱自重对液舱产生的弯矩gSGsin(ϕ),(3)转动轴O对液舱的摩擦阻尼Mfriction和(4)流体晃动对液舱的弯矩Mfluid/tank。在大地坐标系Oij当中,设液舱转动的角度为ϕ,则有
图4(b)所示,以滑动质量块为研究对象,滑动质量块以线性简谐位移方式在滑道上运动,设t时刻滑块在局部坐标系中的位置为ξmt),则ξmt) = Amsin(2πt/T),作用在滑动质量块的力包括:外部激励力Fe,液舱对滑动质量块的反作用力Ftank/mass和自身重量mg。在大地坐标系Oij中,设滑块加速度为am,由牛顿第二定律可得

系统的自然频率由计算为3.263 rad/s,相应周期为T1 = 1.925 s,代入方程,得到液舱运动方程为
为了验证数值计算方法求解液舱运动方程的有效性,首先将空舱在质量块激励下的角位移数值计算结果与试验结果进行对比。设质量块激励为正弦位移激励,幅值为100 mm,周期为1.925 s。由于试验设备的局限性,质量块的周期性运动不完全是正弦规律变化的运动,图5~7给出了质量块在激励过程中的位移、速度和加速度时历曲线。
在数值计算过程中,以质量块的即时速度信息作为输入,图8给出了在上述激励下空舱横摇运动角度试验与数值计算对比结果,两者显示出很好的吻合性。
为了验证在考虑液舱运动与晃荡耦合效应作用下算法的有效性,针对不同液体以及不同激励进行计算结果与试验结果比较。计算取水和油两种液体,液体充装高度均为0.092 m,此时液体自振周期与液舱固有周期一致,均为1.925 s。质量块激励周期为1.925 s,幅值设为50 mm、100 mm、150 mm。液体参数和工况设定如表2表3所示。
图9~11分别为工况1、工况2和工况3试验液面和数值模拟的对比图,即液舱充装水时的情况。可以看到,随着质量块激励的增大,晃荡越来越剧烈。当质量块激励幅值为50 mm时,液体晃荡较平缓,呈行进波状;当质量块激励幅值为100 mm时,波面晃荡剧烈,水跃逐渐形成;当质量块激励幅值为150 mm时,波面晃荡更加剧烈,波面呈现水跃或组合波。从对比结果看,数值模拟波面总体上与试验液体波面较吻合,而当液体晃荡出现碎波、翻卷等强非线性现象时,数值模拟效果有待提高。
图12为工况4试验液面和数值模拟液面对比图,工况4液舱中充装的液体是油。与相同激励幅值下充装水的工况2液舱相比,液舱内水的晃荡比油的晃荡更加剧烈,这是由于油的粘性较大,水的雷诺数大于油的雷诺数,水在晃荡过程中更加容易形成湍流。
图13为工况1中液舱运动的角度时历曲线的试验与数值计算对比。从图中可以看到,试验中液舱运动的角度达到稳定状态后呈包络状,而数值计算结果中液舱运动达到稳定状态后运动幅值保持不变,数值结果与试验结果有一定的差距。图14为工况1中质量块对液舱弯矩、流体对液舱弯矩的时历曲线,其中Mmass/tank为质量块对液舱的弯矩,Mfluid/tank为液体对液舱的弯矩。由于质量块的激励带动液舱的运动,液舱的运动再激励液体的晃荡,因此质量块激励相位大于液舱运动相位,液舱运动相位又会大于液体运动相位。从图中可以得到液舱运动与Mmass/tank相位差为-97.2°,液舱运动与Mfluid/tank相位差为77.1°,于是Mmass/tankMfluid/tank相位差为174.3°,质量块激励与液体晃荡相位差接近180°,液体晃荡抑制了质量块对液舱的作用,从而抑制了液舱的运动,这正是调谐液体阻尼器的设计原理。
图15为工况2中液舱运动角度时历曲线的试验与数值计算对比。从图中可以看到,数值模拟液舱运动与试验液舱运动两者趋势一致,数值模拟液舱运动幅值略大于试验结果,二者存在相位差的原因是,试验中当液舱刚开始运动时由于惯性其运动存在时间滞后。图16为工况2中质量块对液舱弯矩、流体对液舱弯矩时历曲线。从图中可以得到,液舱运动与Mmass/tank相位差为-97.2°,液舱运动与Mfluid/tank相位差为83.2°,于是Mmass/tankMfluid/tank相位差为180.4°,质量块激励与液体晃荡相位差接近180°,液舱液体运动抑制了质量块对液舱的作用,液舱运动得到抑制。
图17为工况3中液舱运动角度时历曲线试验与数值计算对比,从图中可以看到数值模拟液舱运动与试验液舱运动除了存在一定相位差外,二者运动趋势和幅值比较吻合。图18为工况3中质量块对液舱弯矩、流体对液舱弯矩时历曲线,其中液体对液舱弯矩在曲线后半程周期性出现不规则波动,这是由于晃荡剧烈导致流体产生破碎或翻卷等强非线性效应,因而载荷振荡剧烈。
以上是液舱充装水时数值模拟和试验结果的对比情况,至于液舱充装油的计算结果与液舱充装水的结果类似,图19给出了工况4中液舱运动位移的试验与数值计算对比结果,可以看到二者有较好的吻合。
本文引入幅值缩减比,该参数代表质量块激励一定时间内,充装一定量液体后液舱横摇最大幅值与空舱横摇最大幅值的比值。100%代表液体没有减幅作用,0%表示在液体晃荡作用下液舱横摇幅值接近0。幅值缩减比在调谐液体阻尼器的应用中代表其减振的程度。
将试验和数值计算得到的幅值缩减比进行比较,表4给出了具体的数据,图20图21给出了对应结果的柱状图表示,其中用SPH法得到的数据为Bulian等计算得到,用VOF法得到的数据为本文数值计算结果。由于试验的限制,液舱运动只在一定的幅值范围内进行,所以幅值缩减比取的是在激励特定时间内装有液体的液舱运动最大幅值与对应空舱最大幅值的比值,且激励幅值越大,试验能进行的时间越短,因此对应激励周期的取值就越短。当激励幅值为50 mm时,取激励26个周期得到的幅值缩减比;当激励幅值为100 mm时,取激励18个周期得到的幅值缩减比;当激励幅值为150 mm时,取激励11个周期得到的幅值缩减比。由图20图21的结果可以看到,SPH法和VOF法数值计算结果二者比较接近,当激励幅值为50 mm和100 mm时二者相差在3%以内,而激励幅值为150 mm时,充装水和充装油的液舱幅值缩减比与试验的差别分别为5.6%和8.4%,这是由于当激励幅值较大时液体晃荡剧烈,此时不同数值模拟方法差异性增大的结果。相比于试验结果,SPH在模拟充装油的液舱时,激励幅值为50 mm和100 mm时与试验相差都在5%以内,在激励幅值为150 mm时相差5.9%;本文的方法除了在模拟水激励幅值为100 mm时与试验相差达到5.7%,其他工况下模拟结果与试验结果相差都在5%以内,总体呈现较好的模拟效果。
由以上分析可以看出,本文建立的算法在处理液舱运动与液舱晃荡耦合计算问题时是有效的。
本文针对液舱运动与流体晃荡耦合运动问题,采用基于Hilber-Hughes-Taylor格式的隐式直接积分法求解液舱运动方程,应用含部分单元参数的VOF法求解流体方程,建立了液舱横摇转动与流体晃荡的耦合求解算法。
为了验证本文算法的有效性,将本文算法应用于调谐液体阻尼器试验模型,该模型与弹性支撑下独立液舱晃荡模型原理相同,均为液舱运动与液舱晃荡耦合动力学问题。液舱运动为外部质量块激励与内部流体晃荡共同作用的结果,通过质量块激励下空舱运动的数值计算结果与试验结果的比较,验证了本文求解液舱运动方程算法的有效性;通过充装一定量不同的液体(水和油)以及改变质量块激励幅值设定了多种计算工况,将液舱运动时间历程曲线以及液舱运动幅值缩减比的数值计算结果与试验结果进行对比,验证了本文建立的算法适用于处理一般运动与晃荡的耦合动力学问题。
