In order to improve the propulsion performance of contra-rotating propellers and reduce the cavitation effect, an end plate was applied to the contra-rotating propeller. The cavitation performance and propulsion performance of the end-plate contra-rotating propeller were analyzed. The RANS method with Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model was used for analyzing. Then the propulsion performance of contra-rotating propellers composed of conventional skewed propellers and end-plate propellers were checked for comparison. It is found that the addition of an end-plate makes the contra-rotating propeller possess better anti-cavitation performance. The sheet cavitation range is reduced by about 59% in the bollard state (J=0), and the cavitation is delayed when J=0.1. In addition, under the condition of low advance speed, the end-plate contra-rotating propeller shows a higher propulsion efficiency by 0.9%~3.1% than the conventional one. The open water performance of the end-plate contra-rotating propeller was tested at different rotation speeds, and the data were in good agreement with the simulation results considering the cavitation model. In this study, an end plate is innovatively applied to the contra-rotating propeller, which is suitable for the propulsion and operation requirements of low-speed submersibles.

为提高对转桨的推进性能,减小空化效应,将端板螺旋桨应用于对转桨,分析端板型对转桨的片状空化性能和推进性能。基于RANS及Schnerr-Sauer空化模型,对由常规侧斜螺旋桨组成的对转桨和端板螺旋桨组成的新型对转桨,在系柱及低进速下进行空化性能分析及推进性能校核。研究发现:端板的添加使对转螺旋桨具备更佳的抗空化性能,系柱状态下(J=0)桨叶表面片状空化范围减小约59%,J=0.1时空化延迟发生;且在低进速条件下,端板对转桨具备更高的推进效率,较常规侧斜对转桨高出0.9%~3.1%;在不同转速下,端板型对转桨的敞水仿真结果与实验数据较为吻合。本研究将端板螺旋桨创新性地应用于对转螺旋桨,适合于低速潜航器的推进及作业需求。

为提高对转桨的推进性能,减小空化效应,将端板螺旋桨应用于对转桨,分析端板型对转桨的片状空化性能和推进性能。基于RANS及Schnerr-Sauer空化模型,对由常规侧斜螺旋桨组成的对转桨和端板螺旋桨组成的新型对转桨,在系柱及低进速下进行空化性能分析及推进性能校核。研究发现:端板的添加使对转螺旋桨具备更佳的抗空化性能,系柱状态下(J=0)桨叶表面片状空化范围减小约59%,J=0.1时空化延迟发生;且在低进速条件下,端板对转桨具备更高的推进效率,较常规侧斜对转桨高出0.9%~3.1%;在不同转速下,端板型对转桨的敞水仿真结果与实验数据较为吻合。本研究将端板螺旋桨创新性地应用于对转螺旋桨,适合于低速潜航器的推进及作业需求。

In order to improve the propulsion performance of contra-rotating propellers and reduce the cavitation effect, an end plate was applied to the contra-rotating propeller. The cavitation performance and propulsion performance of the end-plate contra-rotating propeller were analyzed. The RANS method with Schnerr-Sauer cavitation model was used for analyzing. Then the propulsion performance of contra-rotating propellers composed of conventional skewed propellers and end-plate propellers were checked for comparison. It is found that the addition of an end-plate makes the contra-rotating propeller possess better anti-cavitation performance. The sheet cavitation range is reduced by about 59% in the bollard state (J=0), and the cavitation is delayed when J=0.1. In addition, under the condition of low advance speed, the end-plate contra-rotating propeller shows a higher propulsion efficiency by 0.9%~3.1% than the conventional one. The open water performance of the end-plate contra-rotating propeller was tested at different rotation speeds, and the data were in good agreement with the simulation results considering the cavitation model. In this study, an end plate is innovatively applied to the contra-rotating propeller, which is suitable for the propulsion and operation requirements of low-speed submersibles.

对转螺旋桨(contra-rotating propeller,CRP)作为螺旋桨的一种特殊形式,在可实现平衡自身旋转扭矩的同时,具有更优的推进效率,且在空泡和噪声特性上表现出一定的潜力,在船舶及水下航行器的推进应用方面,有着重要的作用[1]
螺旋桨的空化研究有仿真模拟和实验测量两种方法。其中,空化仿真所涉及的要点包括湍流模型、空化模型和衡量准则的选取,及计算域中网格的划分和构建[2]。目前使用的湍流数值模拟方法有直接数值模拟法(DNS),以及包括基于RANS方程的雷诺平均法、大涡模拟法(LES)和分离涡模拟法(DES)[3]在内的非直接数值模拟法,其中基于RANS方程的模型运用较为普遍。螺旋桨的空化模型则可分为基于状态方程和基于运输方程两种类型,后者又包含Singhal、Kunz、Zwart、Schnerr-Sauer等空化模型[4-6]
目前,国内螺旋桨空化的仿真研究聚焦于对单桨的评估和预测。陈影等[7]采用SST k-ω湍流模型和Zwart空化模型,将螺旋管区域加密与基于气体体积分数的网格自适应技术相结合,精确地捕捉到流场的空化形态和规律,发现空化会使涡量最大区域从中心转移;吴思源等[8]采用STAR CCM+商业软件,基于Realizable k-ε湍流模型和Schnerr-Sauer空化模型模拟PPTC螺旋桨在空化条件下的水动力学性能,其片状空化仿真结果与实验结果吻合良好;赵旺[2]采用延迟分离涡模型(DDES)计算E779A对转桨在均匀流与非均匀流条件下的空化性能,发现非均匀来流会增加片状空化体积的波动幅度;胡健等[9]将大涡模拟方法与Schnerr-Sauer空化模型相结合,预测E779A螺旋桨的梢涡空化模式,其预测结果与实验结果接近;赵旻晟等[10]研究了在非均匀流下Kunz及Schnerr-Sauer空化模型对螺旋桨空化仿真的影响,评估后认为Schnerr-Sauer空化模型在模拟中具有更佳的效果。
国外业界则更注重复杂工况下的螺旋桨空化性能的预测。Kim等[11]采用非定常RANS方法,对吊舱式对转螺旋桨在直航和转弯条件下的空化流进行了模拟,发现其在不同流向中的空化表现差异极大;Lloyd等[12]应用自适应网格技术和延迟分离涡方法分析螺旋桨在均匀流中的片状空化情况,实现了以更少的总网格数捕捉桨叶叶梢端的空化;Yilmaz等[13]提出体积控制和自适应网格细化相结合的网格划分策略,应用于RANS求解器中,采用Schnerr-Sauer空化模型计算螺旋桨梢涡空化,其计算结果与实验相比非常接近;Ge[14]等比较了STAR CCM+和OpenFOAM两款CFD软件在模型尺度下对螺旋桨在集装箱船船后尾流场的空化仿真效果,发现两者的仿真效果一致;Lee[15]等评估了全空化模型、Zwart-Gerber Belamri模型和Schnerr-Sauer模型在螺旋桨空化仿真上的应用效果,与实验数据比较,Schnerr-Sauer模型能够更精确地预测空化和推力;Viitanen等[16]基于RANS求解器在斜流工况下对螺旋桨进行空化仿真,发现仿真中的空化现象较实验观测到的空化更早发生。
本文以端板对转桨为研究对象,在系柱状态(J=0)和低进速(J=0.1)下,计算对比由常规侧斜螺旋桨组成的对转桨和端板螺旋桨组成的对转桨的空化性能,并校核低进速下端板对转桨在空化流中的敞水推进性能,与实验结果进行比较,验证仿真结果的准确性。端板螺旋桨拥有特殊的叶梢构造,其桨叶叶尖向吸力面弯折,可削弱叶尖处压力面向吸力面的绕流,降低叶尖梢涡的强度,提升螺旋桨的推进效率。
本文计算的对转桨包括两型,分别为常规带侧斜对转桨CRP-Kap01N和端板型对转桨CRP-Kap01S。端板螺旋桨Kap01S是在常规侧斜螺旋桨Kap01N的基础上,由叶尖向吸力面弯折而成。本文以对转桨CRP-Kap01N为对照组,探究叶尖端板对螺旋桨片状空化的影响。组成对转桨的各螺旋桨的几何参数如表1所示,Xs/D为桨叶叶梢处纵倾Xs与螺旋桨直径D的比值,用以表征桨叶端板弯折的程度;各对转桨前后桨盘面间距均为0.06 m,桨叶翼型均为NACA66 mod/a=0.8[17]。桨叶Kap01N与Kap01S的Xs/D径向分布如图1所示。对转桨的模型如图2所示。
螺旋桨的敞水性能以无量纲参数推力系数KT、扭矩系数KQ和推进效率η为衡量参考。记对转螺旋桨的前桨直径为DF,后桨直径为DA,前后桨转速均为n,前桨推力为TF,后桨推力为TA,前后桨推力之和为T,前桨扭矩为QF,后桨扭矩为QA,前后桨总扭矩为Q,流体密度为ρ,流体进速为VA,计算域远处入口的流体速度为V,计算域远处入口的流体压强为p,水的饱和蒸汽压为pV,则对转螺旋桨的进速系数J、推力系数KT、扭矩系数KQ、推进效率η及空化数σ[19]分别为
式中,前桨扭矩QF和后桨扭矩QA不考虑旋向,即在式中均取正值;对转桨计算扭矩系数的扭矩视为前后桨各自扭矩的绝对值叠加。此外,为方便讨论螺旋桨的空化性能,本文将以对转桨的载荷系数KT/J2与空化数σ的关系曲线作为评估依据。在相同载荷时,即载荷系数相同的情况下,对应的空化数的数值越大,螺旋桨的抗空化性能越优良。
本文采用RANS求解器和Realizable k-ε湍流模型,空化模型选用Schnerr-Sauer模型。Realizable k-ε湍流模型具有广泛的适用性和合理的求解精度,较标准模型添加了一个新的湍流耗散率传输方程[20]。模型的临界系数Cµ以平均流量和湍流特性的函数来表示,而非标准模型一般假设为常数。结合两层方法,可获得全壁面y+处理的额外灵活性[21]。Realizable k-ε湍流模型的方程[22]如下:

式中,ρ为流体密度,t为时间变量,xixj为空间变量,ui为时均速度,μt为湍流黏度,μ为流体动力黏度,ν为流体运动黏度,σkσε分别为湍动能k和耗散率ε对应的Prandtl数,Gk为平均速度梯度引起的湍动能k的产生项,E为时均应变率项,C1C2为经验常数。
Schnerr-Sauer空化模型是基于Rayleigh-Plesset简化方程并忽略气泡增长加速、粘性效应和表面张力效应。文献[23-26]均对Schnerr-Sauer空化模型进行了验证,证明了该模型在高转速运动空化中的计算准确性。其中,空化气泡增长率R采用的惯性控制增长模型[27]如下:
式中,pV为给定温度的饱和蒸汽压,p为周围液体的分压,ρl为液体密度,ρV为水蒸气密度,ρm为气液混合物密度,α为水蒸气体积分数,RB为气泡直径。
本文采用CFD商业软件STAR CCM+进行仿真计算,参考采用了Han等[28]及兰加芬[29]关于计算域的设定和湍流模型的选择,计算域及边界条件划分如图3所示。将对转桨的前后两个单桨分别划入旋转域A和旋转域B,采用多参考系法计算。计算域整体长度为9D,设置旋转域的直径为1.6D,速度进口位于前桨盘面上游4D处,压力出口位于前桨盘面下游5D处,此处D指前桨直径。除对入口和出口进行边界条件设置外,其余边界均设置为壁面无滑移条件。
通过使用计算软件中的自动网格划分功能,采用切割体网格生成器对整体计算域及旋转域进行网格划分及局部加密。为更精确地捕捉对转桨梢涡的形态和发展规律,采用圆管形加密区对尾流场进行加密,如图4(a)所示。
在相同网格划分策略下,通过调节基础网格尺寸来调整计算域网格总数,进行网格无关性分析。设置计算工况进速系数J为0.1,对转桨前后桨转速均为1500 r/min。所采用的仿真计算模型如1.3节所介绍。对对转桨CRP-Kap01N和CRP-Kap01S均设置11组网格算例,对应的网格基础尺寸分别为0.15 m、0.125 m、0.1 m、0.09 m、0.084 m、0.08 m、0.075 m、0.068 m、0.06 m、0.056 m和0.05 m(网格总数依次增大),计算得到的推力系数KT和扭矩系数KQ图5所示。由图可知,当网格基础尺寸小于或等于0.08 m时,计算结果开始趋于稳定。基于计算时长和资源的考量,本文统一采用0.08 m基础网格尺寸的设置,对应对转桨CRP-Kap01N和CRP-Kap01S的计算域网格总数分别为2.736×106和2.703×106
在1500 r/min转速的系柱状态(J=0)和低进速状态(J=0.1)下进行空化仿真,探讨CRP-Kap01N和CRP-Kap01S两组对转桨的片状空化性能,其中对J=0的工况计算结果做详细描述。在空化仿真中,取空泡数σ为2.0,饱和蒸汽压PV为2338 Pa,应用Schnerr-Sauer空化模型和VOF二相流模型。文献[26-27]对水汽体积分数a=0.1定义空泡界面的合理性做了验证,其计算结果和试验结果吻合良好。因此,本文对空泡界面的定义亦取为水汽体积分数a=0.1的等值面。
系柱状态下,对转桨CRP-Kap01S在高转速下的桨叶表面片状空化程度明显偏低,如图6所示。CRP-Kap01N前桨桨叶表面的空化区域占其盘面积的8.17%,空化现象较为严重;而CRP-Kap01S的前桨表面空化区域占其盘面积的2.36%,较CRP-Kap01N降低约71.1%,空化程度较低。CRP-Kap01N后桨表面的空化区域较其前桨小,占盘面积的6.03%;而CRP-Kap01S的后桨表面空化程度则较前桨高,空化面积占盘面积的3.21%,较CRP-Kap01N降低约46.8%。与CRP-Kap01N相比,CRP-Kap01S表现出更优良的抗空化性能,前后桨片状空化区域面积平均降低约59%。
对转桨CRP-Kap01N和CRP-Kap01S的桨叶表面压力分布如图7所示。两组对转桨的主要负压区均位于桨叶吸力面上的叶梢端,桨叶表面片状空泡的位置与压力分布图中的负压区中高幅值范围基本一致。CRP-Kap01S负压区的幅值低于CRP-Kap01N,其原因在于叶尖端板阻碍了桨叶压力面向吸力面的绕流,降低了吸力面一侧流速,呈现较低的负压幅值。同时速度分布图8显示,CRP-Kap01S的尾流轴向速度分布更均匀,尾流区直径更小,端板螺旋桨具有收缩聚拢尾流的效果。
J=0.1工况下,对转桨CRP-Kap01N与CRP-Kap01S桨叶吸力面上的片状空泡分布如图9所示。与J=0的工况(图6)相比,该工况下两型对转桨的片状空化程度均有所下降。CRP-Kap01N前桨桨叶表面的空化区域占其盘面积的6.04%,而CRP-Kap01S的前桨表面空化区域占其盘面比的0.03%,较CRP-Kap01N降低约99.5%,片状空化程度极低。
CRP-Kap01N后桨表面的空化区域较其前桨小,占盘面积的3.35%,而CRP-Kap01S的后桨表面则几乎观察不到空化。在低进速工况J=0.1下,对转桨CRP-Kap01S同样表现出更优良的抗空化性能,前后桨的片状空化区域面积平均降低约99.8%。
为研究两型对转桨的梢涡结构,若直接采用涡量进行螺旋桨梢涡结构的可视化,将会导致部分较弱的涡结构的可视化损失,而采取Q准则能弥补这一缺点。Q准则的定义如下:
式中,Ω为速度梯度对称张量,S为速度梯度反对称张量。
Q值为500/s2的等值面,用以描述梢涡的形态结构。如图10所示,两组对转桨的后桨相对前桨产生反向梢涡,与前桨的梢涡交叉形成网状涡结构。CRP-Kap01S前桨叶尖处,由于端板的存在,流经桨叶片表面的湍流被部分阻挡,阻碍了叶梢处的绕流,使叶尖涡强度减弱,同时使梢涡形状更为稳定,有助于提高能量利用效率。
采用空化模型,分别计算两组对转桨在进速系数J为0~0.5范围内的敞水性能,如图11所示。在低进速状态下,对转桨CRP-Kap01S更高效,效率高出CRP-Kap01N桨0.91%~3.13%;在相同载荷下,CRP-Kap01S也更高效,如图11(c)所示。就推力系数而言,CRP-Kap01S在J为0~0.5范围内均低于CRP-Kap01N。
本研究在系柱状态的不同转速下,测量对转桨CRP-Kap01S的推力和功率,验证空化仿真结果的准确性。螺旋桨功率P与其前后桨叠加扭矩Q和转速n存在换算关系,如式(11)所示,故后文以功率表征螺旋桨扭矩来进行比较。实验采用大型断面水槽,该水槽长为75 m,宽为1.8 m,高为2.0 m,如图12(a)所示。
分别在400 r/min、600 r/min、720 r/min和800 r/min转速下进行实验测量,将计算值和实验值进行对比,并计算误差,对比结果如图13所示。由图13(c)可知,除在转速为400 r/min时的推力计算误差大于5%外,其余转速时的计算误差均小于5%。实验过程中,在400 r/min的转速下,实验机构发生了共振,产生较大的噪音,导致该点测力出现较大的偏差。通过总体对比,采用空化模型的敞水仿真结果与实验数据较为吻合,进一步验证了本文计算的准确性。
本文对常规侧斜对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01N及相应衍生而来的端板型对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01S进行了空化分析和推进性能校核,得出以下结论:
(1)采用叶尖端板螺旋桨,有助于提高对转螺旋桨的整体抗空化性能。对侧斜对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01N和端板型对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01S,应用空化模型在系柱状态(J=0)及低进速状态(J=0.1)下进行了空化仿真,系柱状态下端板型对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01S相比于侧斜对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01N,前者桨叶表面片状空化区域减少约59%,而在J=0.1时对转螺旋桨CRP-Kap01S呈现空化延迟。
(2)端板型对转螺旋桨在低进速下表现出更高的推进效率。在进速系数J为0.1~0.4范围内,对转桨CRP-Kap01S相比对转桨CRP-Kap01N推进效率提升0.91%~3.13%。本文在不同转速下,测试了对转桨CRP-Kap01S的敞水性能,与空化仿真结果进行了比较,两者数据较为吻合。端板型对转螺旋桨适用于低速深潜器,具体应用值得进一步研究。
