The interaction between an inclined plane and level ice is a complex dynamic process, characterized by periodic shear extrusion, bending failure, rotational immersion and sliding. To investigate the interaction process between structures and ice and the ice-breaking mode, a mechanical test on the interaction between inclined structures and level ice was conducted in an ice tank at China Ship Scientific Research Center. A high-precision tactile sensor and strain balance were employed to simultaneously measure the distribution of the model ice load and overall ice load. The resistance of the inclined structure to ice and its load temporal and spatial distribution characteristics during the interaction with the level ice were determined. Furthermore, based on physical observations, the failure process and load distribution law governing the interaction between inclined structures and sea ice were analyzed.

倾斜平面与层冰作用是一个复杂的动态过程,具体可表现为剪切挤压、弯曲破坏、旋转浸没和滑移的周期性过程。鉴于该类结构物与冰相互作用过程的复杂性,为探究结构与冰作用过程及破冰模式,本文依托中国船舶科学研究中心(CSSRC)冰水池试验室,开展倾斜平面与层冰相互作用的机理性试验研究,采用高精度触觉式传感器和应变天平同时测量模型冰载荷分布和总体冰载荷,得到层冰与结构作用过程中倾斜平面的冰阻力特性和载荷时空分布特性,结合物理现象观测,分析倾斜平面与海冰作用的破坏过程及载荷分布规律。

倾斜平面与层冰作用是一个复杂的动态过程,具体可表现为剪切挤压、弯曲破坏、旋转浸没和滑移的周期性过程。鉴于该类结构物与冰相互作用过程的复杂性,为探究结构与冰作用过程及破冰模式,本文依托中国船舶科学研究中心(CSSRC)冰水池试验室,开展倾斜平面与层冰相互作用的机理性试验研究,采用高精度触觉式传感器和应变天平同时测量模型冰载荷分布和总体冰载荷,得到层冰与结构作用过程中倾斜平面的冰阻力特性和载荷时空分布特性,结合物理现象观测,分析倾斜平面与海冰作用的破坏过程及载荷分布规律。

The interaction between an inclined plane and level ice is a complex dynamic process, characterized by periodic shear extrusion, bending failure, rotational immersion and sliding. To investigate the interaction process between structures and ice and the ice-breaking mode, a mechanical test on the interaction between inclined structures and level ice was conducted in an ice tank at China Ship Scientific Research Center. A high-precision tactile sensor and strain balance were employed to simultaneously measure the distribution of the model ice load and overall ice load. The resistance of the inclined structure to ice and its load temporal and spatial distribution characteristics during the interaction with the level ice were determined. Furthermore, based on physical observations, the failure process and load distribution law governing the interaction between inclined structures and sea ice were analyzed.

倾斜平面结构在近岸结构物中被广泛应用,包含宽大结构和桩腿结构等。倾斜平面与冰层的相互作用过程较为复杂,除了弯曲破坏外,也有冰层与结构接触时的挤压以及倾斜平面边界与冰层之间的剪切作用。Croasdale[1]将冰层的破坏过程分为冰层的弯曲破坏和碎冰的堆积两个部分,对倾斜平面受到的冰阻力进行了计算;之后,Croasdale等[2]将结构倾斜角度、冰厚、冰力学性能、碎冰特性以及冰-冰、结构-冰之间的摩擦系数等变量添加到模型中,进一步完善了该模型;Lu等[3-4]设计了倾斜平面与冰相互作用的试验装置,用以探究倾斜平面与冰相互作用的过程,同时使用触觉传感器对倾斜平面表面的载荷分布进行了测量;于永海等[5]运用简单的二维理论及较为复杂的三维理论,依据辽东湾环境条件,采用计算与作图分析的手段,对摩擦系数、坡角、冰强度及冰厚如何影响作用在斜体结构上的水平载荷进行了讨论,并验证了相应结论。
本文以二维倾斜平面为研究对象,分析倾斜平面与冰相互作用的力学行为,依托CSSRC小型冰水池开展倾斜平面与冰相互作用的模型试验,采用高精度触觉式传感器和应变天平同时测量结构物模型冰载荷分布和总体冰载荷,开发冰阻力及表面冰载荷分布精细化测量方法,观察冰与结构相互作用过程中的物理现象,得到详实的冰载荷记录,并分析倾斜平面与海冰作用的破坏过程及载荷时空分布规律。
理想的倾斜平面与冰层相互作用表现为挤压和弯曲破坏、碎冰沿结构物滑移的循环过程,图1为倾斜平面与冰相互作用的示意图。
在倾斜平面与冰相互作用过程中,冰层与斜面发生挤压,导致冰层会出现局部的挤压破碎和剪切裂纹。随着时间推移,冰层受到斜面的下压作用,发生弯曲失效。此时倾斜平面与冰之间的相互作用力主要由倾斜平面与冰的接触力以及浮力带来的摩擦力两部分组成,受力分析如图2所示。
在接触面内,切向相对速度的垂直和水平分量v1vτ,分别引发了摩擦力在水平面内的分量Fτ和在垂直面内的分量f1,在接触剖面内,法向相对速度v2引发了垂直于接触面的挤压力Fcr,挤压力Fcr与摩擦力分量f1的合力又可以分解为水平分量FH和垂直分量FVf1正比于相对速度v1Fτ正比于相对速度vτ,所以f1Fτ可分别表示为
式中,μ为倾斜平面与冰之间的摩擦系数。
根据倾斜平面与冰相互作用的受力分析,可以得到接触面内的水平作用力FH和垂向作用力FV分别为
在求得倾斜平面与冰相互作用接触面内的垂向力之后,即可对冰层的弯曲破坏进行判断。Kerr[7]针对实船试验观察得到的静态载荷或准静态载荷,提出了浮动冰层承载能力的分析方法,讨论了Kashteljan对失效载荷确定的计算方法。Kashteljan等[8]的研究工作基于对浮动冰楔发生初始破坏时的承载能力观察,提出了如图3所示的楔角为ϕ的冰楔在顶端受到垂直载荷的作用时的失效载荷表达式:
式中,σf为弯曲强度,hi为海冰厚度,Cf为常数。
通过比较FVPf的大小关系,即可检测冰楔是否发生了弯曲破坏。如果FV<Pf,则未发生弯曲破坏,冰楔仅仅在端部被挤压;如果FV>Pf,则发生了弯曲破坏。
本文依托中国船舶科学研究中心小型冰水池(CSSRC SIMB),其尺寸为8 m(长)×2 m(宽)×1 m(深),如图4所示。主要工艺设备包括制冷系统、微气泡发生系统、拖车和冰力学测量装置等,可开展模型冰制备、测量和模型试验等[10]
本次试验选取17°、24°和30°三种不同角度的倾斜平面,该角度范围涵盖了当前典型倾斜平面的主要倾角范围;根据冰水池宽度以及触觉式传感器尺寸,确定倾斜平面的宽度为237 mm;充分考虑倾斜平面与冰相互作用时冰的堆积与滑移,高度设置为300 mm,吃水设置为100 mm,倾斜平面具体的尺寸及样式如图5所示。
倾斜平面通过三分力传感器与拖车固连,拖车的前进速度即为破冰速度。触觉式传感器粘贴到倾斜平面前部,与冰层直接接触,以测量倾斜平面与冰作用过程中的冰载荷分布,确定主要的破冰位置;整个试验过程利用高清摄像机进行拍摄,观测倾斜平面与冰相互作用的过程和作用方式,倾斜平面与拖车的连接方式如图6所示。
为测量试验过程中结构冰载荷的分布,研究冰层破碎特点,试验采用触觉传感器对结构局部冰载荷进行测量。所采用触觉传感器整体尺寸为1000 mm×220 mm,传感器有效测量区域为900 mm×100 mm,共有320个大小均匀的测试单元,对斜板结构局部冰载荷进行测量,如图7所示。
触觉传感器的量程为1 MPa,采集频率为50 Hz,试验前,通过静力加载(标准砝码)的方式对传感器进行校核,如图8所示。校核结果显示,触觉传感器的误差在5%以内,如表1所列。触觉传感器在使用时需要注意防水和磨损,因此试验前在其上下表面各覆盖一层塑料保护膜,然后将覆盖保护膜的触觉传感器与试验模型光滑贴合。
为研究不同倾斜角度以及不同破冰速度对破冰方式以及破冰阻力的影响,选择变角度和变航速的试验工况,速度范围选取0.05~0.15 m/s,角度选取17°、24°和30°。
图9展示了倾斜平面与冰相互作用的过程,从图中可清晰观测到冰的破坏模式以及碎冰的运动。倾斜平面在冰层中破冰时,倾斜平面与冰层相互接触,倾斜平面对冰层产生与本身角度一致的向下作用力,中心位置对冰层产生弯曲作用,两侧边线对冰层产生剪切作用,随着倾斜平面的向前,与倾斜平面接触的冰逐渐被从整块冰层上切下,切下的部分随倾斜平面表面继续向下滑移,在到达倾斜平面底端时,由于浮力和倾斜平面底端的共同作用,冰块发生二次断裂。整个过程可简化为剪切、挤压和弯曲破坏以及二次断裂的周期性过程,与时历曲线中的大周期性变化吻合。
结合水上录像及照片记录,未发现明显的环向和径向裂纹,同时,倾斜平面侧面与冰层的相互作用(见图10)表现出明显的剪切特性,进一步验证了倾斜平面与冰层相互作用是以剪切和弯曲为主,且冰层的弯曲断裂主要发生在二次断裂阶段。
通过对试验时倾斜平面航行后的冰道进行观察可发现,冰道中的碎冰分布均匀且尺寸相似;再通过对破坏后的整个航道进行观测可发现,碎冰尺寸随着速度的增加有逐渐减小的趋势;同时对不同角度倾斜平面破冰后的航道进行观测,可发现随着倾斜角度的增加,碎冰的尺寸也在逐渐发生变化,这主要与二次断裂的过程相关(见图11所示)。
在进行模型试验的过程中,利用三分力传感器对倾斜平面的冰阻力进行记录,其中X方向记录值为倾斜平面前进方向上的冰阻力,Y方向记录值为倾斜平面侧向阻力,Z方向记录值为倾斜平面垂向阻力,坐标设置如图12所示。
试验中可观察到,破冰过程呈现弯曲破坏、旋转浸没与滑移的循环过程;在力的时历曲线中,可观察到明显的脉动特性及周期性。这反映出倾斜平面破冰的过程中,船首与冰相互作用的重复演化特性。方向为倾斜平面前进方向,其受力为倾斜平面破冰前行受到的冰阻力,冰阻力为21.14 N。通过对图13中时历曲线进行分析发现:斜向时历曲线谷值未回归0值,表明倾斜平面与冰层一直处于接触受力状态,由此判断在相互作用过程中未出现明显空航阶段;斜方向力值在0点上下不断发生变化,反映出冰层与倾斜平面的接触位置的变化,冰层与倾斜平面的作用过程也呈现出非同时破坏现象;倾斜平面垂向斜向受力最大,这主要是由于倾斜平面对冰层施加弯曲破坏以及碎冰旋转浸没时克服垂向力所致。所以,随着冰层的剪切弯曲破坏,垂向力会有较大的波动。同时,不同周期的峰值与谷值大致相等,这说明冰的运动呈现为规律的旋转循环过程,与试验观察到的现象吻合。
对倾斜平面与冰相互作用过程中不同速度状态下的冰阻力进行统计,结果如图14所示。在0.05 m/s工况下,冰阻力偏大,而在速度为0.10~0.15 m/s时,冰阻力总体呈现出随着速度增加而逐渐增加的趋势。
通过对0.05 m/s工况(图15)下倾斜平面起始阶段的碎冰航道进行观察发现,碎冰尺寸较大,未出现表明周期性变化的均匀碎冰场。在低速状态下,冰层与倾斜平面之间在非同时破坏的过程中,在接触位置的周围发生了断裂,此处缺少倾斜平面的剪切作用,表现为弯曲破坏的形式,造成航道两侧冰面的破坏,从而引起了阻力增加。
在连续时间段内观测倾斜平面表面的载荷发现(图16,不同的颜色代表不同的载荷量值),载荷主要位于倾斜平面的冰线位置上,且在宽度方向其分布并不均匀,随时间不断变化,在破冰过程中产生了非线性破坏。
利用M及其向量Mijk对总载荷及各位置的载荷进行表示,其中ijk分别表示倾斜平面表面载荷矩阵的行、列以及帧数。利用公式(6)~(7)对横向平均载荷及最大载荷进行计算得到
式中,Hj,max分别为载荷矩阵i方向上载荷的均值和最大值。倾斜平面表面压力主要集中分布在中间的位置(图17),表明了倾斜平面与冰层接触和破冰的主要位置,同时倾斜平面两侧承受了不同程度的冰载荷,导致在破冰过程中由于受力不均匀,倾斜平面产生了X方向的受力,这与时历曲线显示的现象吻合。
利用公式(8)~(9)可对纵向平均载荷及最大载荷进行计算:
式中,Vj,max分别为载荷矩阵j方向上载荷的均值和最大值。沿倾斜平面纵向的载荷在与冰层接触的位置达到峰值,而在冰层上部和下部未测量到明显的载荷,如图18所示。
针对倾斜平面冰载荷时空特征进行耦合分析(图19),倾斜平面表面载荷主要集中在中间位置,结构两侧也承受了部分载荷,量值较中间部位稍小。同时,表面载荷高压区呈现出随机性的特征,主要分布在倾斜平面中部区域,量值最大点位随破冰过程不断发生变化。
本文对倾斜平面与层冰的相互作用进行了系统的模型试验研究,分析了倾斜平面与冰相互作用的力学行为,基于上述试验和分析,得出如下结论:
(1)倾斜平面与冰相互作用的过程为均匀的周期性过程,但与船舶、锥体结构不同的是,倾斜平面与冰相互作用的过程呈现出剪切弯曲破坏、旋转滑移和二次断裂的循环特征。
(2)对倾斜平面与冰相互作用过程中不同速度状态下的冰阻力进行统计后发现,冰阻力总体呈现出随速度先减小后增加的趋势。
(3)通过触觉式传感器对倾斜平面表面冰载荷的时域变化、空间变化及时空耦合变化进行了测试分析,发现倾斜平面表面压力主要集中分布在倾斜平面中间的位置,同时倾斜平面两侧承受的冰载荷并不相同。
