Submerged waterjet propulsion is a variant of conventional waterjet propulsion, whose inlet duct is fully integrated into the bottom plate of hull, reulting in a more complex coupled flow field behind. In order to meet the development requirements of submerged waterjet propulsion, the differences in mechanical control system between two types of waterjet propulsion were studied. Numerical simulations were conducted for both conventional and submerged waterjet propulsion at designed speed point. The comparison results show that submerged waterjet propulsion has larger flow obtaining area, higher inlet duct efficiency and less impact on the ship motion while the thrust reduction fraction is larger.

浸没式喷水推进是常规艉板式喷水推进的一种衍变型式,其流道与船体高度耦合,船泵耦合流场更复杂。针对浸没式喷水推进技术发展需求,首次构建浸没式喷水推进控制体与力学模型,并开展其与常规艉板式的差别分析。然后针对同一型船、同一型推进泵,在设计航速点开展两种推进形式的船泵一体化多自由度运动数值计算分析。对比结果表明:浸没式喷水推进获流区面积更大,流道效率更高,对船体姿态影响小,浸没式喷水推进推力减额分数较大且为正值。

浸没式喷水推进是常规艉板式喷水推进的一种衍变型式,其流道与船体高度耦合,船泵耦合流场更复杂。针对浸没式喷水推进技术发展需求,首次构建浸没式喷水推进控制体与力学模型,并开展其与常规艉板式的差别分析。然后针对同一型船、同一型推进泵,在设计航速点开展两种推进形式的船泵一体化多自由度运动数值计算分析。对比结果表明:浸没式喷水推进获流区面积更大,流道效率更高,对船体姿态影响小,浸没式喷水推进推力减额分数较大且为正值。

Submerged waterjet propulsion is a variant of conventional waterjet propulsion, whose inlet duct is fully integrated into the bottom plate of hull, reulting in a more complex coupled flow field behind. In order to meet the development requirements of submerged waterjet propulsion, the differences in mechanical control system between two types of waterjet propulsion were studied. Numerical simulations were conducted for both conventional and submerged waterjet propulsion at designed speed point. The comparison results show that submerged waterjet propulsion has larger flow obtaining area, higher inlet duct efficiency and less impact on the ship motion while the thrust reduction fraction is larger.

喷水推进是通过推进泵喷出水流的反作用力而获得推力的一种先进推进方式,被广泛应用于中、高速船舶[1]。当前,绝大多数喷水推进船采用的是常规艉板式喷水推进装置,即流道置于船舱内,喷口外悬于水面之上,如图1所示。然而,当船体尾部空间较小或对喷射流尾迹隐蔽性要求较高时,此种常规喷水推进方式便不再适用。
浸没式喷水推进是近年来发展的一种新构型。2010年,国外的Rolls-Royce公司率先开发了一款完全在水下进行喷射的喷水推进装置,即浸没式喷水推进AWJ-21TM,如图2所示。该款喷水推进在电船演示舰上进行了试验评估,试验结果表明,浸没式喷水推进可提高推进效率并减少推进器噪声[2]。国内仅曹玉良等[3]将一款常规喷水推进泵应用于浸没式喷水推进船,并进行了数值模拟,通过分析得出了浸没式喷水推进泵可以按照常规艉板式喷水推进泵的设计方法进行设计的结论。
常规喷水推进系统与船体相互作用研究的文献资料比较多。戴原星等[4]基于STAR CCM+建立了考虑纵倾角及重心升沉等姿态变化的喷水推进三体船阻力数值计算方法,开展了船模自航数值模拟,探讨了喷水推进器-船体相互作用的物理机理;夏召丹等[5]利用平面运动机构(PMM),分别开展带喷水推进装置的船舶操纵性水动力系数模型试验,试验表明增加喷泵转速和船舶虚尾长度,有利于船舶稳定性,但当航速提高后,其航行姿态的改变会对其航向稳定性产生不良影响;易文彬等[6]分析了喷水推进船的推力减额在不同航速下的变化规律,并根据喷水推进船航行特点,给出了阻力增额和动量减额的定义,其研究表明采用动量通量法计算得出的推力要小于推进器发出的实际推力,船模姿态的变化是高速时阻力增额产生的主要原因。
浸没式喷水推进装置的进口流道和船底板集成一体,泵体的一部分作为船舶“附体”外悬于船底,船泵耦合流场更为复杂,目前,国内外极少有公开文献报道相关研究。本文首先对浸没式喷水推进系统控制体作出定义,然后针对一型船,开展两种推进形式在设计航速下的船泵耦合流场分析,通过与常规艉板式比较,掌握浸没式喷水推进系统的水动力特点,为工程应用提供了技术支撑。
喷水推进的基本理论为动量通量法[7],即喷水推进产生的推力可看成整个系统组成的流管进水口和出水口的流体动量差导致。经过多年的喷水推进研究探索,ITTC推进委员会确定了喷水推进系统控制体理论模型[8~10],如图3所示,红线为喷水推进器所有壁面,虚线为进水流线形成的虚拟流管,与进口喉部相交于点B,定义数字1~6共六个面,下文用面A1~A6表示:面A1为进流面,位于流道斜坡与船体的切点A’之前1倍的流道直径处;面A2为区分喷水推进控制体内外的假想面;面A3为喷水推进器的流道边界面;面A4为喷水推进器与船体相连的唇部曲面;面A5为进口喉部截面;面A6为喷口截面;因此喷水推进系统控制体定义为面A1到面A5的虚拟流管部分加上面A5到面A6的实体流管部分。
根据牛顿第二定律,喷水推进控制体在x方向的动量控制方程为

方程(1)左边为控制体在x方向上的动量变化,即自航试验时得到的总推力Tgross,应用动量定理分析推力的方法称为“动量通量法”,方程右边第一项为作用在面A1、A2、A3、A6上的压力和切应力,右边第二项为泵体积力。
喷水推进器的总推力[11]也可被定义为

浸没式喷水推进是一种新型喷水推进方式,由推进系统与船体高度集成,而ITTC并未对其给出任何相关的定义和建议。本文在常规喷水推进理论基础上,结合系统结构以及流场特征,定义了浸没式喷水推进控制体(如图4所示),同样,红线代表喷水推进器所有壁面。不同于常规喷水推进,为了便于轴系布置,浸没式喷水推进连接轴一般与水平线呈一个角度θ。这里仍将进流面A1定义在位于流道斜坡与船体的切点A’之前1倍的流道直径处,面A1~A3、A5~A7的定义与图3中一致,要注意的是,此时A4面处于船底之下,虚拟流管与导流管进口内壁相切于点B,而且根据CFD的模拟,图4中的流道假想面A2也与图3中的A2形状不同。
浸没式喷水推进总推力Tgross和净推力Tnet同样可以分别表示为
值得一提的是,在一般认知中裸船体是指不包括推进器及其他附体的船体。按照第十五届ITTC的报告,与进口系统有关的附体、流线体(导叶体、喷口)及进口流道本身的阻力均作为附体阻力[1],因此在现实模型试验操作中,我们通常把进口流道与船底板处密封处理,并将喷口移除也密封处理,还原成裸船体,如图5所示。对于浸没式喷水推进,将图4中红色壁面部分作为浸没式喷水推进整体,加工成可拆卸式,并移除喷泵等轴系零件,同样还原成裸船体。
本文研究对象为某半滑行式中高速喷水推进船模,配有两组喷水推进器。值得注意的是,描述常规喷水推进进口流道的主要参数共有13个[12],而浸没式喷水推进系统其进口流道与船体高度耦合,常规式喷水推进系统建模方法并不适用。本文在进行浸没式流道建模时,对于影响流动性能最重要的参数——流道倾角α,仍与常规式相同取为25°,喷口直径也相同,但不同之处在于浸没式轴线与水平面的夹角θ为5°,而常规式喷水推进系统轴线一般无倾角。此外,常规式喷水推进系统流道的水平方向长度大于浸没式,初始状态时常规式喷水推进喷口轴线与水线高度一致,而浸没式喷水推进系统喷口位于水线之下,两种喷水推进结构及其外形如图6所示。
本计算船模如图7所示,设计航速V为4.316 m/s,分别计算裸船体、常规式喷水推进以及浸没式喷水推进三种工况,通过调整叶轮转速,实现力的平衡,使其分别达到自航状态,其中常规式与浸没式喷水推进采用相同的喷泵,船模以及喷泵参数见表1
本文采用RANS方法来求解不可压缩黏性流体流动,控制方程为雷诺平均连续性方程和N-S方程:
式中,vivj为时均速度分量,p为时均压力,ρ为流体密度,μ为流体动力黏度。
本文采用两方程SST k-w湍流模型[13]来封闭该控制方程,近壁面运用全y+壁面处理方式。采用流体体积法(VOF)来处理自由液面,即引入流体体积函数来跟踪自由面的变化。本文旨在研究喷水推进航行特性,船体姿态作为重要影响因素不可忽视,因此引入动态流体固体相互作用(DFBI)模型[14],即根据流动引起的作用力来模拟船体的纵倾和升沉。
本文采用商用软件STAR CCM+进行网格划分和数值求解,计算域尺度和边界条件如图8所示,由于船体是对称结构,故计算半船和单泵即可,两侧边界取周期对称条件,计算域进口、顶面和底面均设为速度入口条件,出口设置为压力出口条件,出口距船尾距离约四倍船长。自由液面为静水面,进出口以及侧面边界加入VOF波阻尼条件,以消除来自边界的波反射。
上述计算域被分为三个部分,其中叶轮部分为旋转域,导叶体和船体部分为静止域,如图9所示,采用MRF(multiple reference frame)方法来模拟叶轮旋转,即内部为准定常,外部为非定常计算,三个区域坐标系均选择为船体动态坐标系,即推进器随船一起运动。由于船体部分的几何形状较为规整,因此该区域用切割体网格来划分,而叶轮和导叶体区域用多面体网格划分,其网格形式对复杂几何形状的适应性更好。船体和推进器壁面周围均生成边界层网格,第一层网格高度根据y+来确定,其中叶轮叶片和导叶体叶片表面平均y+约为2,船体表面约为70,自由液面附近、船艏以及喷口后段的网格均加密,带推进器时计算总网格数约为700万。图10给出了加密网格划分的示意图。
本文计算的船模已在哈尔滨工程大学船模拖曳水池中进行过裸船体阻力试验,如图11所示,因此本文先对该船在不同航速下进行了CFD模拟,并和试验值相对比,结果如图12所示。在计算的所有工况中,裸船体总阻力的CFD值和试验值误差均在5%以内,在设计航速V=4.316 m/s时,误差仅为0.57%,说明本文采用的数值模拟方法具有较高的模拟精度。
图13为艉板式进口流道的中纵剖面图,黑色边界为整个进口流道部分,红色虚线处(喷泵来流前方)为进口流道上出口面,浸没式进口流道采用相同定义。
进口流道效率是影响喷水推进系统效率的重要因素,流道效率[15]定义为
式中,Ein为获流区总能量,Eout为上出口总能量。根据ITTC喷水推进委员会的建议,各截面能量公式为
式中,ρ为流体密度,单位为kg/m3u为截面速度,单位为m/s;p为截面压强,单位为Pa;p0为大气压力,单位为Pa;g为重力加速度,单位为m/s2x为距离势能参考面高度,单位为m。
动量影响系数α是进口动量不均匀影响系数,在公式(2)中也已提到,是运用动量通量法计算推力Tgross的重要参数,α的计算公式如下:
式中,S1A为获流区截面;V为获流区速度,单位为m/s;A为获流区面积,单位为m2
由上述公式可知,虚拟的进口获流区是计算进口流道水动力特性的重要一环,如果获流面距进口过近会受到流动变形的影响,如果过远又会使得效率计算不准确。第24届ITTC喷水推进专家委员会会议建议,将此面放于进口流道入口前一倍名义直径处,形状为半椭圆形,即根据流线来拟合椭圆的形状,并使得面内通过的流量等于出口截面的流量以保证质量守恒,这在许多学者的研究报告中都得到了验证[16]。本文首先根据CFD计算得到的结果进行了流面获取,在1.2节中已提到,本文参考ITTC对常规式喷水推进的建议,将获流面位置同常规式一样定义为流道与船底板切点前一倍叶轮直径处,捕捉模拟得到的流线如图14所示,浸没式喷水推进的流线形状和图4所示的虚拟流管基本一致,其流线相较于常规式更为平缓。通过流线反向追踪得到的喷水推进获流面如图15所示。可以看到,浸没式喷水推进获流面依然为近似半椭圆形,但由于流道部分位于船底板之下,椭圆面积要大于常规式,提取椭圆面经过计算可以得知,浸没式椭圆面积为17 061 mm2,常规式为15 459 mm2;而浸没式进流椭圆面水平间距为1.44D,常规式为1.67D,也就是说常规式喷水推进吸收的船底边界层流体要多于浸没式。
根据上述公式计算可得常规式和浸没式喷水推进进口流道效率和动量影响系数α,结果如表2所示,常规式和浸没式进口流道的中纵剖面上的流线以及该面上的流场速度分量如图16所示。可以看到唇口处水流流动均比较光顺,不易产生旋涡和空泡,说明本文中两种推进方式的流道设计均合理。而浸没式流道相对较短,通过流道的流线较为平缓,摩擦损失较小,且常规式进口流道内部产生了漩涡和二次回流等不良流态,在浸没式流道中却得到了明显改善,减少了水力损失,因此浸没式喷水推进的流道效率要高于常规式。
浸没式喷水推进α和常规式几乎没有差别,所以在浸没式喷水推进方案设计性能估算时,α取值可参考常规式经验值。
表3给出了设计航速V=4.316 m/s时,裸船、常规式和浸没式喷水推进三种工况下的阻力、船体姿态结果(纵倾角Trim和升沉幅度Sinkage)、喷口流量Q以及功率P,表中Rbh为裸船体阻力,由于是自航工况,Tnet也等于除喷水推进所有壁面外的船体阻力。从表中可以看出,常规式喷水推进加剧了船舶的姿态变化,进而使得船体阻力增加,而浸没式喷水推进其轴线存在一个倾斜角,加之是完全水下喷射,对船舶纵倾和升沉影响不大,所以其船体阻力(Tnet)相比常规式较小。从推进泵特性上来看,在设计航速时本文所选取的推进泵应用于浸没式喷水推进方式中流量和轴功率均要高于常规式,在之后的研究中,可针对浸没式喷水推进船航行特性进行差异化设计。
根据第一章中的公式以及CFD计算结果,表4列出了常规式和浸没式喷水推进在设计航速时的阻力增额分数tr、动量减额分数tj和推力减额分数t。可以看到,与螺旋桨推进的船舶不同,常规式喷水推进在较高傅汝德数时推力减额为负值,这符合目前喷水推进的研究共识,但浸没式喷水推进在此航速下推力减额为正值,且为一较大值0.217,这与常规式截然不同,而浸没式喷水推进阻力增额却要小于常规式。这一现象通过分析理论公式可以得到解释:由于浸没式流道大部分位于船底以下,作为“船舶附体”形成了一部分负推力,因此对于公式(10)中这部分值,浸没式要小于常规式,导致浸没式tr小于常规式;而浸没式喷水推进吸收的流量Q大于常规式,动量影响系数α相差很小,因此浸没式动量减额分数要大于常规式,根据推力减额与动量减额分数以及阻力增额分数的关系,进而导致浸没式的t大于常规式。
图17为常规式和浸没式喷水推进在设计航速下的波高等值线以及尾部喷射流示意图。可以看到常规式和浸没式喷水推进船身部分的尾迹场几乎一样,而常规式喷水推进船体远后方尾迹的波高略大于浸没式,意味着其尾迹扩散更远。从局部喷射流图可以看到,喷水推进船舶高速航行时,船体尾部会形成空腔,导致常规式喷水推进完全暴露在水面之上,形成水线以上的喷射流冲击水面,巨大的冲击力会对船体姿态造成不小的影响,这也符合上文中得出的计算结果;而浸没式同样由于船体尾部液面下降,由完全水下喷射转变为半水下喷射,对船体姿态影响较小。
本文通过理论与数值模拟方法,对比分析了浸没式与常规艉板式喷水推进系统的控制体与力学模型及船泵耦合流场,建立了浸没式喷水推进系统控制体与力学模型,以及船泵耦合流场的数值模拟方法,掌握了设计航速下浸没式喷水推进系统的水动力特性。主要结论如下:
(1)浸没式喷水推进流道长度较小,进流流线平缓,流道损失较小,效率较高;
(2)浸没式喷水推进对船体姿态的影响与常规艉板式相比较小,但浸没式喷水推进系统部分位于船底板之下,在推进器后部形成涡流区,附体阻力较大,推力减额大于常规艉板式且为正值;
(3)浸没式喷水推进获流面同为近似椭圆形,面积较大,而动量影响系数α值和常规艉板式几乎相同;
(4)浸没式喷水推进可以实现水下喷射,能够减少船舶尾迹扩散。
