In order to study the ship seakeeping and hydroelastic responses in realistic random waves, a CFD-FEM two-way fluid-structure coupling method is employed to simulate the ship motions and wave load response in head irregular waves. First, a numerical tank and a ship finite element model are established in CFD and FEM solvers, respectively. A numerical simulation scheme based on high-performance computing platform is addressed for large-scale numerical computations. Then, the long-crested irregular waves are generated in the CFD solvers. The reliability and accuracy of the numerical waves is validated by comparison with theoretical results. Furthermore, the obtained results of the motion and load response of the ship hull in irregular waves, including the time series, frequency spectrum and probability of exceedance of the signals, such as heave and pitch motions, vertical acceleration and sectional bending moments, etc., are comprehensively studied and discussed. These results are also validated by comparison with those of the segmented model tests. The analysis reveals that the results of ship motions and VBM at midship simulated by the presented method are in good agreement. The errors of the significant amplitudes of heave, pitch motions and VBM amidships between experimental and numerical results for a typical case are 4.8%, 0.8% and 1.6%, respectively.

为了研究实际随机波浪下的船舶耐波性与水弹性响应,本文采用CFD−FEM双向流固耦合方法模拟迎浪不规则波下的船舶运动与波浪载荷响应。首先,分别在CFD和FEM求解器中建立了数值水池模型和船体结构有限元模型,并针对大规模计算问题在超算平台建立了仿真实现方案。然后,建立了CFD求解器中的长峰不规则波的模拟方法,并验证了数值造波方法的可行性和准确性。随后,研究了船体在不规则波中的运动与载荷响应的模拟结果,包括船体升沉、纵摇、垂向加速度、剖面弯矩等信号的时历曲线、频谱密度、超越概率等,并通过分段模型的水池波浪载荷试验结果对数值方法进行了对比验证。研究表明,本方法模拟的船体运动、船中弯矩的结果与试验结果吻合较好,典型工况下的升沉、纵摇和船中垂向弯矩的有义值与试验结果误差分别为4.8%、0.8%和1.6%。

为了研究实际随机波浪下的船舶耐波性与水弹性响应,本文采用CFD−FEM双向流固耦合方法模拟迎浪不规则波下的船舶运动与波浪载荷响应。首先,分别在CFD和FEM求解器中建立了数值水池模型和船体结构有限元模型,并针对大规模计算问题在超算平台建立了仿真实现方案。然后,建立了CFD求解器中的长峰不规则波的模拟方法,并验证了数值造波方法的可行性和准确性。随后,研究了船体在不规则波中的运动与载荷响应的模拟结果,包括船体升沉、纵摇、垂向加速度、剖面弯矩等信号的时历曲线、频谱密度、超越概率等,并通过分段模型的水池波浪载荷试验结果对数值方法进行了对比验证。研究表明,本方法模拟的船体运动、船中弯矩的结果与试验结果吻合较好,典型工况下的升沉、纵摇和船中垂向弯矩的有义值与试验结果误差分别为4.8%、0.8%和1.6%。

In order to study the ship seakeeping and hydroelastic responses in realistic random waves, a CFD-FEM two-way fluid-structure coupling method is employed to simulate the ship motions and wave load response in head irregular waves. First, a numerical tank and a ship finite element model are established in CFD and FEM solvers, respectively. A numerical simulation scheme based on high-performance computing platform is addressed for large-scale numerical computations. Then, the long-crested irregular waves are generated in the CFD solvers. The reliability and accuracy of the numerical waves is validated by comparison with theoretical results. Furthermore, the obtained results of the motion and load response of the ship hull in irregular waves, including the time series, frequency spectrum and probability of exceedance of the signals, such as heave and pitch motions, vertical acceleration and sectional bending moments, etc., are comprehensively studied and discussed. These results are also validated by comparison with those of the segmented model tests. The analysis reveals that the results of ship motions and VBM at midship simulated by the presented method are in good agreement. The errors of the significant amplitudes of heave, pitch motions and VBM amidships between experimental and numerical results for a typical case are 4.8%, 0.8% and 1.6%, respectively.

船舶在高海况下航行极易遭遇砰击,其载荷呈现明显的非线性高频振动特性。现有关于船舶波浪载荷与水弹性的研究主要集中在规则波中的运动和载荷响应。然而,将真实海况的随机波浪简化为规则波的方法忽略了大量动力学效应[1]。由于不规则波所含的频率范围较广,与单一频率的规则波相比,其可变波频分量对载荷响应的影响不可忽略,一旦波列中包含有较多船舶响应敏感的频率成分,就可导致船舶的剧烈响应。因此,研究船舶在不规则波中的运动与载荷响应,对准确模拟实船在真实海况下的响应至关重要。
迄今,一些文献采用试验方法研究船舶在不规则波下的水弹性响应。Jiao等[2-3]对分段船模开展了实海域下的海试以及水池模型试验,研究了长峰及短峰不规则波下的船体砰击载荷和水弹性振动。唐浩云等[4]统计了三体船在迎浪不规则波中的运动特征值,并详细分析了运动与载荷随浪级和航速的变化规律。张楷弘等[5]着重分析了集装箱船在极端不规则波下的垂向运动与载荷。
随着计算机技术的飞速发展,基于计算流体动力学(CFD)的数值波浪水池技术已趋于成熟。在船舶耐波性方面,除通过势流理论方法计算船舶在不规则波中的运动响应外[6],也有一些学者在不规则波数值水池中开展运动响应的研究[1,7]。另一方面,不规则波中的船舶波浪载荷与水弹性响应的数值研究相对较少。Chen等[8]基于Rankine面元法,对不规则波中的船舶水弹性现象进行了非线性时域数值研究,并通过与试验比较验证了理论方法的准确性。尽管如此,势流理论处理非线性响应的能力有限,且受理想流体假设的限制,无法模拟粘性、涡流等特征。
目前,采用CFD-FEM方法开展船舶水弹性研究分析已取得了一定进展,主要集中在迎浪规则波的问题研究[9-10]。例如,柳光军等[11]、刘维勤等[12]、张涵韬等[13]利用该方法对不同船型的运动与波浪载荷响应进行了分析。但迄今,尚未有文献采用该方法针对不规则波中的船舶水弹性问题进行研究。一方面是由于CFD-FEM求解器中不规则波与分段船体相互作用的仿真技术的复杂性,另一方面是由于不规则波中大规模流固耦合的高效率计算问题。
本文将CFD-FEM方法应用于长峰不规则波中的船舶波浪载荷与水弹性响应预报中。数值模拟涵盖了长峰不规则波的模拟方法,船体升沉、纵摇、加速度等运动响应,船体梁的截面载荷,以及砰击与上浪压力。通过与水池模型试验结果的时间序列、典型统计值和频谱结果进行对比,验证了该方法的合理性和准确性,并详细分析了数值结果中的船舶运动、载荷与水弹性响应。研究表明,数值模拟结果与试验结果精度相当,且计算成本和耗时都低于模型试验。
本文采用图1所示的某外飘船型进行研究,实船总长313 m,数值模拟和试验中模型缩尺比都取为1∶50。实船与船模主尺度如表1所示,船体模型各站的质量分布如图2所示。
为了验证数值模拟结果,开展了分段自航模型水池试验。船体共包括20站,在2、4、6、8、10和12站处将模型切开分成七段,并测量6个剖面位置的龙骨梁上的剖面载荷,尾部一整段的较大空间用于布置自航模推进系统。图3是试验船模照片。试验在哈尔滨工程大学船模拖曳水池实验室进行。
建立CFD和FEM模型,采用双向流固耦合方法计算船舶在长峰不规则波中迎浪航行时的运动、波浪载荷和水弹性响应。
采用商业软件STAR-CCM+建立不规则波数值水池。该水池与一般迎浪规则波[10]的计算域一致,包含背景区域及重叠区域。在本文中,其尺寸为–4.5L<x<2.0L, –2.5L<y<2.5L, –2L<z<LL为船体总长)。坐标系的原点位于静水自由表面高度处,且与船舶重心位于同一垂线上。计算域的四个侧面边界和底部边界均为速度入口,顶部为压力出口,船模表面采用无滑移壁面边界。船舶在水池中的纵向位置是固定的,通过施加流体与波浪的反向相对速度模拟前进速度。
采用切割体网格生成器划分计算域。在波高和波长方向上的网格数量对不规则波的精度至关重要。根据文献[18]建议,在有义波高范围内布置40层网格,在平均波长范围内布置60层网格。重叠区域的基本尺寸设置为0.03 m。为实现网格过渡平滑并捕捉流场细节,对船体表面周围、自由表面附近、船体大幅度运动区域范围及开尔文波区域进行了局部网格细化。采用棱柱层网格生成器在无滑动条件下生成近壁面边界的正交棱柱单元,设置6层棱柱层。图4展示了自由液面水平截面和船体中纵剖面的CFD网格划分,网格总量为2256万单元,其中2054万分布于背景区域。
基于Realizable k-ω两层湍流模型,采用流体体积法捕捉水和空气的交界面,流体压力和速度之间的隐式耦合采用压力耦合方程组的半隐式方法(SIMPLE)。采用速度入口边界生成所需的长峰不规则波。在水池速度入口边界特征区域内施加波浪力“Wave Forcing”(见图5(a))进行强迫造波与消波[10],以应对波浪衰减和边界反射等问题。利用STAR-CCM+的叠加波场函数定义速度、体积分数和压力等初始与边界条件,图5(b)给出了初始状态下长峰不规则波自由液面高程图。
在Abaqus有限元求解器中建立包含船体表面外壳与龙骨梁的船体模型,仅考虑裸船体模型,不考虑螺旋桨和舵等附体,建模方法与现有文献[1011]一致。龙骨梁为钢制等截面矩形管状梁,其外壁宽140 mm,外壁高72 mm,壁厚3 mm。该尺寸是根据试验船体垂向弯曲振动两节点湿固有频率相似来确定的。研究中考虑钢的阻尼特性。在有限元软件中使用瑞利阻尼实现,其表达式为

其中,CMK分别代表阻尼矩阵、质量矩阵和刚度矩阵。阻尼系数αβ是常数,其值可根据具体材料和结构确定。一般来说,αβ可用以下公式计算

其中,λ1表示材料阻尼比或一阶振动阻尼比,(本文取钢材典型值为0.02);ω1为第一阶模态的固有频率,在本文中是模型的第一阶垂向两节点湿频率。龙骨梁放置在中性轴的高度,距离平板龙骨316.8 mm处。沿纵向在龙骨梁上共设置20个参考点。通过在这些参考点上施加集中质量实现船舶质量分布与实验模型[3]一致。龙骨梁采用梁单元(B31)建模,最终生成40个梁单元和41个节点。无质量船体表面使用基本尺寸为50 mm的壳单元(SFM3D3)建模,最终生成13988个网格单元和6996个节点。通过运动耦合约束,连接船体表面的节点与梁节点,船体运动和振动完全由梁节点确定。图6为包括龙骨梁在内的船体有限元模型局部舱段与侧视示意图。
对开展流固耦合的有限元模型施加约束,在重心处约束其沿XY轴的平移(纵荡、横荡)和绕XZ 轴的旋转(横摇、艏摇)。除重力加速度外,模型还承受从流体求解器传递到结构求解器的流体载荷,如压力和壁面剪切力等。有限元分析采用动态隐式方法,它扩展了 Newmark-β方法。在离散的时间步长内,采用直接逐步积分法对控制方程进行积分。表2给出了该模型数值与试验确定的垂向弯曲固有湿频率的比较结果。
在流固耦合模拟过程中,CFD求解器中的流体压力和壁面剪切力在每个时间步长的计算中映射到结构求解器,而结构求解器将求解后的位移场传回到流体求解器中,待流场更新后,即完成一次双向流固耦合计算[14]。本文采用隐式耦合算法,采用恒定时间步长0.002 s,研究[14]表明该时间步长在规则波求解中能够获得合适的水弹性响应结果。设置最小交换数为3,最大内部迭代次数为4,压力亚松弛因子为0.15。
本文研究工况的计算总物理时间为200 s。为了提高计算效率,采用水池不规则波船模试验的“接波”思想与方法,通过四个并行计算窗口分段模拟(每个≥50 s),替代单程序连续计算200 s的方案。本次大规模数值模拟在华南理工大学科学计算公共服务平台开展,可以同时开启多个程序窗口,调用多个CPU进行大批量计算。服务平台使用的CPU节点型号为BX50 LP G50,规格为2×32C Intel Sapphire Rapids 6458Q,16×16GB DDR5内存。如图7所示,给出了使用超算服务器计算该工况的CPU使用情况及计算窗口示意图,每个计算程序采用1节点32核心计算。为此,生成了四组不同的随机相位,得到四组初始条件不同的随机波浪。单个计算程序运行50 s需耗时16天,计算该工况(四个运行窗口)共消耗5万CPU核时。
尽管STAR-CCM+中提供了典型波浪谱(P-M谱、JONSWAP谱等)的相关不规则波场函数的波浪仿真,但无法直接生成任意波浪谱或任意随机波。为了在该软件中生成任意不规则波时历序列,可以采用基于线性余弦波叠加理论生成一系列规则波参数,进而通过叠加波模型实现。这需要通过MATLAB自编程序对多个规则子波参数进行计算,涉及的基本理论与计算原理如下。
假设不规则波的波面高程为各态历经和平稳随机的线性过程,根据线性叠加原理,长峰不规则波可以看作是由许多不同周期、不同波幅和相位随机的余弦波叠加而成[15],则不规则波的波面函数可表示为

式中:aiωikiεi分别为第i个组成波的波幅、圆频率、波数和初相位,εi在(0, 2π)范围内均布分布。选用ISSC双参数谱作为海浪谱密度的估算,其具体形式为

设目标谱$ {S}_{\eta \eta }\left(\omega \right) $的能量大多数分布在$ {\omega }_{L} $~$ {\omega }_{H} $频率范围内,采用频率等分法把波频划分为M个区间,则每个区间$ \Delta \omega =\left({\omega }_{H}-{\omega }_{L}\right)/M $,并定义波浪圆频率$ {\omega }_{i}={\omega }_{L}+\left(i-0.5\right)\Delta \omega $,为避免模拟所得波浪以周期$ \dfrac{2{\text{π}} }{\Delta \omega } $重复出现,需在各区间内部随机选取代表频率$ \tilde{{\omega }_{i}} $,则各子波波幅可表示为$ {a}_{i}=\sqrt{2{S}_{\eta \eta }\left(\tilde{{\omega }_{i}}\right)\Delta \omega } $[16]。在求得每个线性余弦子波的波幅、相位以及周期后,在STAR-CCM+中选用叠加波模型,调用Java宏命令,实现对子波各参数的赋值[17]
图8为STAR-CCM+中生成长峰不规则波的流程图。流程上主要分为波参数设定、创建叠加波模型和波浪叠加三个步骤。其中,在波参数设定过程中通过MATLAB编程得到波幅、周期和初相位的列向量。当一阶余弦波各参数通过Java宏命令输入到STAR-CCM+后,求解器将自动完成各子波叠加,并计算流场数据。研究表明[18],频率等分数M大于30时,可保证不规则波数值模拟精度。在本文中,取M=60。为实现船体迎浪航行效果,将不规则波的浪向设置为沿x轴的负方向。
本文算例工况的海况选用ISSC双参数谱,有义波高H1/3=0.184 m(实船波高9.185 m);平均周期Tz=1.612 s(实船波周期11.4 s);船模航速V=1.309 m/s(实船航速18 kn)。根据ITTC[19]建议,在开展不规则波水池试验时,某个短期工况下,模型遭遇子波样本数达到200个,即可认为不规则波试验结果具有统计代表性。本次模拟时考虑船速,计算时长200 s,最终得到的遭遇样本数近似约200个,满足ITTC的建议要求。
在数值模拟中,在船前0.5L处布置波浪监测点。图9给出了其中一个计算窗口的测点监测到的实测遭遇波高以及根据余弦波叠加理论计算的理论值时历曲线。由此可见,CFD模拟结果与理论值吻合良好,但在波浪峰谷值位置存在微小差异。对于较大的波峰和波谷,实测值往往比理论值小。这主要是由于CFD模拟的波浪为非线性波浪,对应大波高情况下,与理论值中线性叠加的线性波浪存在一定差异。此外,CFD求解器中也可能存在一定的波浪衰减。这是由压力亚松弛因子、体积分数亚松弛因子、时间步长、网格尺寸等因素共同影响的,具体的影响和参数选取可参考相关文献[18]。
图10对比了波浪谱结果,包括试验结果、ISSC谱理论值以及CFD模拟结果。其中,数值模拟的自然波谱是由遭遇波谱推导得到的。由此看出,数值计算的理论谱与ISSC谱的谱峰频率和谱密度吻合良好。由于波浪衰减及非线性效应影响,实际模拟的谱峰值(计算值)略小于理论值,但与试验结果接近。表3总结计算了典型的波浪谱参数,并对不同方法的结果进行比较。由此看出,基于叠加波模型得到的不规则波的平均周期与ISSC谱理论值的误差为6.9%。由于波浪的衰减,数值模拟结果小于理论值,与理论有义波高Hs=9.2 m的偏差为−8.5%。总体来看,数值模拟的波高略小于理论值,平均周期偏大,数值模拟得到的长峰不规则波谱与试验结果以及ISSC谱吻合良好,表明通过该方法生成长峰不规则波是可靠的。
图11展示了数值模拟的船体在不规则波下的重心处升沉、纵摇,以及船艏第0站(艏柱)的垂向加速度时历曲线。观察曲线可知,虽然升沉和纵摇的运动方式不同,但具有一定的协同性。其极大值和极小值在同一时间段出现,但存在相位差。垂向加速度曲线的高频成分源于船体在航行中遭受砰击载荷引起的颤振效应。
为了比较数值模拟和试验结果,对升沉和纵摇时间序列进行傅里叶变换得到的频谱对比如图12所示。总体来看,CFD方法计算得到的运动响应谱密度及其频率分布与试验结果吻合较好,功率谱幅值与谱峰频率略有偏差。表4列出了试验与数值模拟的船体升沉、纵摇和船艏加速度的单幅有义值和谱峰周期结果对比。可以看出,船体运动的模拟结果与试验结果吻合良好,升沉和纵摇有义幅值的最大误差在5%以内,垂向加速度的有义幅值误差为1.7%。
船体在不规则波中的升沉和纵摇运动时历曲线是平滑的。然而,由于船体遭受到剧烈波浪砰击,因此在剖面弯矩中包含大量的高频成分,包括颤振和弹振响应。图13展示了船体垂向弯矩(VBM)成分时历曲线。选取临界频率2.1 Hz,将总垂向弯矩滤波为波频垂向弯矩和高频垂向弯矩。
对3个典型剖面(第2、6和10站)的试验和数值的垂向弯矩时间序列进行谱分析,得到的功率谱如图14所示。总体来看,数值计算与试验结果频谱的频率分布吻合较好,但船艏位置的数值谱密度幅值略小于试验结果,而船中第10站的弯矩幅值在波频处明显大于试验值。试验和数值模型的两节点振动频率(3.68 Hz)吻合良好,这与锤击试验得到的船模两节点固有频率(3.87 Hz)[3]非常接近,但数值结果的高频振幅稍弱。由于船艏发生了剧烈砰击,即使在非共振频率处,仍能观察到明显的高频振幅,这是由倍频谐振载荷引起的。
表5列出了试验与数值的垂向弯矩的有义幅值和谱峰周期结果进行对比。可以看出,艏端部的剖面载荷有义幅值的相对误差达11%,而船中剖面的误差很小,仅为1.6%。但由于艏部剖面的弯矩值量级较小,对船体结构载荷评估分析影响不大。谱峰周期的误差较大,但平均周期的吻合度较好。
图15对比了试验与数值船中剖面(10站)总垂向弯矩和波频弯矩的超越概率,分别计算了波频和总垂向弯矩的峰值(中拱和中垂)。由图可知,垂向弯矩的峰值呈现明显不对称性,且中垂弯矩大于中拱弯矩。一方面是由于弯矩的平均值为负;另一方面是由于高频颤振载荷的非线性特性。与试验结果相比,数值模拟的总弯矩和波频弯矩的中拱和中垂弯矩峰值的非对称性更为显著,但数值结果的超越概率分布在尾部区间,大于试验结果。在关于迎浪和斜浪规则波下船舶水弹性响应的研究[20-21]中发现,数值计算的波频垂向弯矩幅值通常大于试验结果,而数值计算的高频垂向弯矩通常小于试验结果,这是由于梁的几何模型和振动差异导致的。试验船体梁较短,自1站到13站;而数值船体梁始末端分别位于船艏柱与艉柱。这种几何差异将导致不同的振动模式,具体体现包括振动频率和阻尼比等差异。此外,不规则波中的极端波出现个数也会直接影响砰击发生的次数,但由于样本数量的限制,极端波出现仍具有一定的随机性,这也使得数值统计结果和最大值与试验结果存在一定的差异。
为了研究砰击压力,在船艏中纵剖面布置3个压力测点P1~P3,测点位置如图16所示。图17展示了各位置点的砰击压力时历曲线。由图可知,P2所在位置遭受的压力较大,最大峰值达3.68 kPa。图18展示了某时刻砰击压力极大值时的船体运动及局部流场波形图。图中,船艏与波浪发生砰击,船后方的开尔文波系清晰可见。在一定波浪条件下,船艏部会出现出水和砰击入水现象。图19给出了T=4.15 s时的船体表面压力分布图。该时刻没有出现甲板上浪现象。最大砰击压力出现在船艏底部,图中所示的最大砰击压力为4.49 kPa。
P2点处的砰击压力与船中颤振弯矩的短期时间序列如图20所示。从图中可以看出,当船体遭遇严重砰击时,垂向弯矩中会出现瞬态的高频成分,高频VBM的振幅急剧增大,进而导致总垂向弯矩的幅值比波频垂向弯矩增大很多。然后,由于结构阻尼的存在,颤振载荷逐渐衰减。图21展示了船体出现纵摇峰谷值时刻的船体运动和波面高程情况图,能明显观察到考虑粘流作用后的水流堆积与抬升、船艏底部出入水和流体飞溅等现象,表明该方法能重现船波相互作用的剧烈流动,这是势流方法无法实现的。
本文拓展了现有的 CFD-FEM 双向耦合方法,建立了船舶在长峰不规则波中的水弹性计算模型,从而能更准确地给出船舶在随机海况中的流固耦合性能。所得的主要结论如下:
(1)所建立的基于CFD-FEM的长峰不规则波中的船舶波浪载荷与水弹性响应预报方法,几乎能够模拟分段模型试验中所有的测量参数,例如波浪、船体运动、加速度、剖面弯矩、砰击压力、颤振等。数值模拟的精度与试验相当,且计算成本低于水池模型试验。
(2)该方法能准确模拟剖面垂向弯矩,其中包含波频成分和高频成分。通过与试验中典型统计值、超越概率和频率结果的对比,表明计算船中剖面的垂向弯矩的有义值与试验结果误差仅1.6%,而第2站垂向弯矩相对误差稍大为11%,但该剖面的弯矩值量级较小,对船体结构载荷分析影响不大。
(3)该方法能够准确模拟流场分布和船体砰击压力,能重现船艏与波浪的砰击及船舶航行时的开尔文波现象。该方法能够揭示砰击压力与结构颤振等水弹性响应的耦合机理,为船舶流固耦合的全非线性模拟仿真提供了有效工具,具有一定的应用价值和前景。
