In this paper, an underwater explosion acoustic-structure interaction numerical model of air-backed glass fiber reinforced composite foam sandwich panel is established using a nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS. The damage characteristics of composite foam sandwich panel under underwater explosion are investigated. Full-scale air-backed composite foam sandwich panel underwater explosion experiments were conducted in a large-scale explosion pool, which validated the accuracy of the acoustic-structure interaction numerical model. The results indicate that under underwater explosion loading, the air-backed composite foam sandwich panel primarily experiences delamination damage. The damage is concentrated at the center of the panel and along the surrounding boundaries. As the shock factor increases, the damage of the cohesive layer gradually extends inward from the surrounding boundaries. As the foam core density increases, the impact resistance of the composite foam sandwich panel progressively improves.

本文采用非线性有限元软件ABAQUS建立了背空玻璃纤维增强复合材料泡沫夹芯板水下爆炸声–固耦合数值计算模型,研究水下爆炸冲击波作用下复合材料泡沫夹芯板损伤特性,在大型爆炸水池进行背空复合材料泡沫夹芯板水下爆炸冲击实验,验证了声–固耦合数值模型的准确性。研究结果表明,水下爆炸球面冲击波下背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构主要产生分层损伤,损伤位置集中在面板中心及四周边界处;背空环境相对于背水环境会导致结构变形损伤加剧,其泡沫芯层压缩量较背水环境更小;随着冲击因子增加,粘性层损伤范围从四周边界处逐渐向内扩展。

本文采用非线性有限元软件ABAQUS建立了背空玻璃纤维增强复合材料泡沫夹芯板水下爆炸声–固耦合数值计算模型,研究水下爆炸冲击波作用下复合材料泡沫夹芯板损伤特性,在大型爆炸水池进行背空复合材料泡沫夹芯板水下爆炸冲击实验,验证了声–固耦合数值模型的准确性。研究结果表明,水下爆炸球面冲击波下背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构主要产生分层损伤,损伤位置集中在面板中心及四周边界处;背空环境相对于背水环境会导致结构变形损伤加剧,其泡沫芯层压缩量较背水环境更小;随着冲击因子增加,粘性层损伤范围从四周边界处逐渐向内扩展。

In this paper, an underwater explosion acoustic-structure interaction numerical model of air-backed glass fiber reinforced composite foam sandwich panel is established using a nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS. The damage characteristics of composite foam sandwich panel under underwater explosion are investigated. Full-scale air-backed composite foam sandwich panel underwater explosion experiments were conducted in a large-scale explosion pool, which validated the accuracy of the acoustic-structure interaction numerical model. The results indicate that under underwater explosion loading, the air-backed composite foam sandwich panel primarily experiences delamination damage. The damage is concentrated at the center of the panel and along the surrounding boundaries. As the shock factor increases, the damage of the cohesive layer gradually extends inward from the surrounding boundaries. As the foam core density increases, the impact resistance of the composite foam sandwich panel progressively improves.

纤维增强复合材料具有轻质高强等优越力学性能,越来越广泛地应用于船舶设计建造领域[13]。然而,复合材料舰船执行作战任务时,可能遭受水雷、鱼雷和深水弹药等的攻击威胁,导致结构毁伤,使舰船失去战斗力[4]。因此,对复合材料结构水下爆炸冲击损伤特性的研究至关重要。
早期国内外学者主要开展复合材料层合板水下爆炸冲击损伤特性研究。LeBlanc等[5]利用锥形激波管模拟水下爆炸冲击波载荷对玻璃纤维层合板进行冲击实验,通过数字图像相关(Digital Image Correlation,DIC)设备得到了试样实验后的变形状态。Schiffer等[6]通过透明激波管实验装置对圆形碳纤维和玻璃纤维复合材料层合板进行了水下爆炸冲击实验,结果表明玻璃纤维层合板的抗爆性能要优于碳纤维层合板,这是由于玻璃纤维层合板具有更高的拉伸塑性。Mouritz[7]采用箱型水下爆炸装置对不同纤维含量的玻璃纤维增强层合板进行了水下爆炸冲击实验,结果表明,纤维含量越高,复合材料的分层损伤越小,低纤维含量的层合板产生了基体开裂损伤。郑智午等[8]采用声–固耦合方法建立了水下爆炸冲击波与碳纤维复合材料层合板相互作用的数值模型,研究了冲击波与复合材料结构相互作用过程,结果表明随着复合材料层合板厚度增加,其反射的冲击波能量的占比逐渐增加,迎爆面边缘出现纤维压缩损伤和基体拉伸损伤,中心区域主要为纤维拉伸损伤与基体压缩损伤。综上所述,复合材料层合板在水下爆炸冲击波作用下的损伤模式主要为基体开裂、纤维断裂及分层损伤。由于复合材料夹芯板相较于层合板具有更优良的力学性能,国内外学者越来越关注复合材料夹芯结构水下爆炸冲击损伤特性。Wei等[9]建立了玻璃纤维复合材料夹芯板一维水下爆炸冲击平面波加载流–固耦合数值模型,研究了复合材料夹芯结构抗水下爆炸冲击性能,结果表明夹芯板主要以基体损伤模式为主,且泡沫在改善结构抗冲击性能方面发挥了重要作用。周昊等[10]开展了一维水下爆炸冲击平面波加载下碳纤维复合材料方形蜂窝夹层结构响应特性数值研究,结果表明复合材料蜂窝夹芯板在较小压力下仅产生轻微屈曲,随着压力增大,面板逐渐产生分层破坏。毛柳伟等[11]开展了碳纤维增强复合材料点阵铝夹芯板在一维水下爆炸冲击平面波加载作用下的动态响应特性仿真研究,结果表明结构主要损伤模式为基体开裂、纤维断裂和分层。上述研究主要通过数值模拟方法开展一维水下爆炸冲击平面波加载下复合材料夹芯结构损伤特性研究,缺乏相关试验验证,并且实际水下爆炸产生的球形冲击波具有更复杂的冲击环境。近期,Arora等[12]和Rolfe等[13]开展了背水环境下纤维增强复合材料夹芯结构水下爆炸实验,结果表明水下爆炸冲击下复合材料夹芯结构破坏模式包括芯层破碎、面板和芯层开裂、分层和纤维断裂,碳纤维增强复合材料面板相比玻璃纤维可以减小面板变形。综上所述,复合材料夹芯板在水下爆炸冲击波作用下的损伤模式除基体开裂、纤维断裂及分层损伤之外,还包含了芯层破损、开裂以及面板与芯层间脱粘的损伤模式。Arora及Rolfe等学者开展的爆炸水池实验能较好地模拟实际爆炸冲击球面波载荷加载,但其研究仅停留在实验定性分析,并且其研究对象均为背水环境下的复合材料结构,而船舶舷侧与底部结构遭受水下爆炸冲击载荷时处于典型的背空环境,爆炸水池加载水下爆炸冲击载荷下背空复合材料夹芯板的冲击损伤机制尚不清楚。
因此,本文采用声–固耦合方法研究了背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构的水下爆炸冲击损伤特性,并且在大型爆炸水池进行了背空复合材料泡沫夹芯板水下爆炸冲击实验验证,有助于指导复合材料舰船结构抗爆抗冲击性能优化设计。
复合材料泡沫夹芯板由玻璃纤维材料、乙烯基树脂材料以及聚氯乙烯(Polyvinyl chloride,PVC)泡沫芯层构成,试样模型如图1(a)所示。复合材料泡沫夹芯板几何参数如图1(b)所示,上面板尺寸为1200 mm×1200 mm×15 mm,下面板尺寸为1200 mm×1200 mm×12 mm,泡沫芯层尺寸为1000 mm×1000 mm×135 mm。委托咸宁海威复合材料制品有限公司加工制备,试样面板采用EUW玻璃纤维作为增强纤维,树脂基体为ETERSET 2960P–V乙烯树脂,芯层选用HP200 PVC泡沫芯材,密度为200 kg/m3。玻璃纤维预浸布按照[0°/45°/90°/−45°/0°/−45°/90°/45°/0°]n(四轴向布/单向布/四轴向布)铺层铺设上下面板,并与PVC泡沫芯层二次加热固化成型,制备的复合材料泡沫夹芯板如图1(c)所示。
本文采用大型爆炸水池开展背空复合材料夹芯结构水下爆炸实验,如图2(a)所示。水下爆炸实验装置包括浮箱、配重、复合材料夹芯板、药包、起爆缆、传感器等。浮箱是实验基础平台,提供浮力和背空环境,复合材料泡沫夹芯板通过螺栓、夹板、橡胶密封垫安装于浮箱下部;TNT药包用药包布放绳放置于水中,如图2(c)所示,Y方向上对称布置2个PCB–138A10压力传感器,测量水下爆炸自由场冲击波压力时程曲线,其中D1=3.28 m,D2=3.72 m。实验设计TNT当量W为7 kg,爆距R为2.62 m,TNT药包中心置于水深2 m处,冲击因子[14]为1.01。
冲击因子计算公式为

本实验旨在分析水下爆炸冲击波载荷作用下复合材料泡沫夹芯结构损伤特性,需避免气泡脉动对复合材料结构的破坏作用。气泡脉动半径的经验公式如下

式中:D为炸药水下爆炸后最大气泡半径,W为炸药当量,H为炸药与水面距离。
相关参数代入上式得:D=2.83 m,气泡半径大于炸药与水面的距离(2 m),表明气泡在靠近试样之前将破裂,表明上述设计工况能有效降低气泡脉动对试样的影响,从而达到预定目标。
本文利用有限元软件ABAQUS进行背空复合材料夹芯结构水下爆炸冲击声–固耦合建模计算[15]。模型主要由流体域、浮箱夹具及试样三部分构成,模型整体装配图如图3(a)所示。浮箱尺寸为1.2 m×2.7 m×1 m,试样尺寸为1.2 m×1.2 m×0.162 m,取流场尺寸为结构尺寸的5倍,设置流体域尺寸为6 m×6 m×6 m。复合材料夹芯板与箱型工装之间通过绑定(tie)接触,定义为理想绑定连接,结构湿表面与流体域之间定义为耦合约束,流体域上表面定义为自由液面边界,其余流体域边界定义为无反射边界条件。为了更加准确地模拟复合材料夹芯板面板层间及面板与PVC泡沫界面处的损伤,铺层单元层间插入零厚度Cohesive粘性层,粘性层位置如图3(c)所示。通过材料力学性能实验测得复合材料力学性能参数如表1所示,Cohesive粘性层材料参数见表2,HP200泡沫材料参数见表3,浮箱的材料参数见表4。定义流体的体积模量为2.141 GPa,密度为1000 kg/m3,声波在流体域中的传播速度为1500 m/s。复合材料面板采用Hashin失效准则,采用各向同性硬化模型表征PVC泡沫芯材的力学性能,Cohesive粘性层假设初始线弹性是基于B–K准则的线性损伤演化,并选择二次名义应力准则定义初始损伤。考虑到实验过程中复合材料夹芯板四周边界及箱型工装未发生明显变形,将箱型夹具设置为刚体。PVC泡沫芯材及箱型夹具使用C3D8R实体单元,流体域采用AC3D8R声学六面体单元,复合材料面板采用SC8R连续壳单元,粘性层采用内聚力单元(COH3D8),浮箱与试样网格尺寸均为15 mm×15 mm,流体域与试样接触区域网格细化为15 mm×15 mm。
TNT球形炸药冲击波的计算可采用一个半解析半经验的水下爆炸冲击波公式[18]

式中:θ为时间衰减系数;tp为冲击波正压作用时间;W为炸药质量;R为爆心距;$ \overline{r} $为爆心距与药包半径之比。
流体域内水下爆炸冲击波传递特性如图4所示。可以看出水下爆炸冲击波呈球形波阵面传播,随着冲击波的传递,冲击波压力逐渐减弱,当t=2.3 ms时冲击波到达自由液面;当t=2.5 ms时冲击波到达试样表面,同时可以看到向上方扩散的冲击波遇到自由液面后逐渐消散;当t=2.6 ms时冲击波与试样产生相互作用;当t=2.7 ms时声–固耦合界面部分产生了空化区域,空化区域主要出现在试样中心及四周边界区域;当t=3.0 ms时冲击波与复合材料泡沫夹芯板作用后在水域中产生了反射波。
图5为7 kg当量球形TNT炸药在自由液面下方2 m处起爆时,自由场压力测点处水下爆炸冲击波压力–时间历程曲线的理论、仿真及实验结果对比。从图中可以看出水下爆炸冲击波压力载荷曲线理论计算、仿真结果与实验结果吻合较好,验证了水下爆炸冲击波载荷声–固耦合数值模型的可靠性。
进一步研究水下爆炸冲击下背空复合材料夹芯板结构损伤特性,输出试样面板及粘性层的损伤情况如图6所示。仿真计算中面板基体与纤维损伤程度较小,以粘性层损伤为主,粘性层损伤主要位置集中在面板中心与四周边界处。损伤模式主要为层间脱离,分析其原因为:水下爆炸冲击波到达结构表面后与面板相互作用产生应力波,应力波沿着冲击波加载方向向面板内部传递,到达面板底部后又产生反射,面板内部的应力波在传递过程中导致不同铺层相互作用。此外,爆炸冲击波与面板作用后产生空化效应,面板同时承受向内的冲击波压力以及空化效应导致的向外的拉力。面板在应力波及空化效应的同时作用下,其内部粘性层达到受力极限,最终产生层间脱离的损伤模式。损伤区域主要集中在四周边界及面板中心处,分析其原因为:固支边界导致面板在四周边界处应力增强,应力波作用效果更加明显。此外,炸药爆炸产生的球面爆炸冲击波导致面板经历了从局部加载到均布加载的演化过程,面板中心区域最先受到爆炸冲击波加载,导致其挠度较大,同时中心区域受到空化效应的影响也最为显著。因此损伤区域主要集中在四周边界及面板中心区域。实验中迎爆板损伤模式表现为面板中心处与四周边界处发白现象,这是面板内部的分层损伤造成的,面板未出现明显的基体破坏或纤维开裂。仿真计算中面板损伤模式及损伤位置与实验吻合良好,验证了背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构水下爆炸冲击声–固耦合数值模型的可靠性。
选取复合材料夹芯结构中心部分a、b、c、d共4块试样进行CT扫描,扫描结果与仿真计算结果对比如图7所示。由CT扫描结果可知水下爆炸冲击后迎爆面板与PVC泡沫芯层间的粘性层几乎被完全破坏,粘性层破坏导致面板与PVC泡沫产生脱粘,而背爆板粘性层几乎未产生损伤,这是由于应力波传递到泡沫芯层后导致泡沫芯层压缩吸收了大部分冲击能量,背爆板承受的应力波明显小于迎爆板,这也体现了泡沫夹芯板的优良吸能特性。对比面板内部粘性层损伤情况可以看出迎爆板与泡沫芯层间的粘性层破坏程度比面板内部更为严重,这主要是由于泡沫对比面板具有更强的可压缩性,泡沫芯层与面板界面处的粘性层需要承受更强的应力作用。仿真计算结果与CT扫面结果吻合良好,进一步验证了背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构水下爆炸冲击声–固耦合数值模型的可靠性。
背空复合材料泡沫夹芯板在水下爆炸冲击载荷下的各构件能量吸收情况如图8所示。由图可知,水下爆炸冲击波作用下结构各构件发生变形和损伤,吸收的能量逐渐增加,当能量吸收到达最大值后,能量吸收曲线开始衰减,逐渐趋于稳定值。泡沫芯层吸收的能量远远大于其余构件,这也说明了PVC泡沫的存在使得复合材料泡沫夹芯板具有优良吸能特性。
为了进一步分析不同背衬条件对结构损伤特性的影响,输出不同背衬条件下复合材料夹芯结构损伤变形情况如图9所示,由图可知在背空条件下复合材料夹芯结构粘性层的损伤程度更加严重,其整体变形比背水条件下更大,但PVC泡沫塑性变形更小。由两种工况下结构面板中点处的变形情况可知,背空条件下结构迎爆面及背爆面变形均大于背水条件,然而其结构压缩量小于背水条件。这是由于背衬环境本质上相当于对结构的弹性支撑,而水相比于空气可以看作不可压缩流体,因此在水下爆炸冲击波作用下,背水条件下其背衬刚度K1远远大于背空条件下的背衬刚度K2,背水条件下结构近似处于刚性背衬的冲击环境中,而背空环境下结构受冲击后可以进一步压缩空气,因此背水条件下结构主要通过压缩自身进行吸能,其结构压缩量更大。
保持炸药爆距不变,改变炸药当量,不同冲击因子下复合材料夹芯板损伤特性如图10所示。由图可知,随着冲击因子增大,各层粘性层单元损伤越来越严重,损伤起始位置出现在四周边界处,损伤范围从四周边界处逐渐向内扩展。这是由于四周边界处存在较强的边界效应的作用,导致产生应力集中,因此应力波的作用效果更加明显,粘性层损伤破坏首先在边界处产生,这也说明了边界区域的破坏占主导作用,随着冲击因子的增大,应力集中更加明显,因此造成的损伤进一步扩大。另一方面冲击波在面板与流体域交界处造成的空化效应也进一步加剧,两者的综合作用导致粘性层的受损区域逐步增大。
为了研究PVC泡沫的芯材类别对结构抗冲击性能的影响,采用HP130、HP200、HP250三种PVC泡沫材料进行水下爆炸冲击计算,HP130及HP250材料参数见文献[17]。不同工况下粘性层损伤如图11所示。由图可知,当使用HP130材料时四角边界区域破损范围较大,其粘性层损伤范围对比其余两种材料有较大扩展,三种材料下U3、U4粘性层损伤情况差别不大。不同泡沫材料下复合材料夹芯板各部分吸能情况如图12(a)所示,结构总吸能如图12(b)所示。由图可知,随着PVC泡沫密度增大,泡沫材料弹性模量和屈服应力增大,结构变形局部化程度减小,泡沫芯层吸能占比逐渐增加,其他部分吸能占比减少,说明增大芯材密度能够提高泡沫芯层的吸能效果。
本文采用有限元软件ABAQUS开展了背空玻璃纤维增强复合材料夹芯板结构水下爆炸冲击损伤特性数值模拟与实验验证,分析了冲击因子及泡沫芯材对结构损伤特性的影响,得出以下结论:
(1)水下爆炸冲击波载荷和复合材料夹芯板结构损伤特性数值仿真与实验结果吻合良好,验证了背空复合材料夹芯板结构水下爆炸冲击声–固耦合数值模型的可靠性。
(2)水下爆炸冲击波作用下,背空复合材料泡沫夹芯结构主要产生分层损伤,损伤位置集中在面板中心处及四周边界处。相对于背水环境,背空环境下结构损伤程度及整体变形更大,但芯层压缩量较小。
(3)随着冲击因子增大,背空复合材料夹芯结构变形破坏越来越严重,面板内部粘性层损伤从边界处向内逐渐扩展;随着泡沫密度增大,背空复合材料夹芯结构抗冲击性能也逐渐增强。
