Feed and its additive dusts have a high combustion heat, which poses significant risks of dust explosions during production, thereby threatening life and property safety. Currently, premix inhibitors are widely used as explosion suppression measures. However, traditional inhibitors are inedible and cannot be added to feed dust to achieve explosion suppression. Therefore, this study focuses on the dust of DL-methionine (DLM), a primary additive in feed, and investigates the effect of self-synthesized phytic acid-cytosine (PA-CY), an edible biomass-based compound with nutritional value and environmental friendliness, on the flame propagation characteristics of DLM dust explosions. The flame propagation process was recorded through high-speed photography and visualized in a vertical pipe while calculating the flame velocity. Additionally, thermocouples were used to monitor changes in flame temperature. The results indicate that as the mass fraction of PA-CY increases, the luminosity of DLM dust explosion flames consistently decreases, severely disrupting the flame structure. After adding 20% PA-CY, there is a reduction of 50.0%, 52.2%, and 46.7% in peak velocity (from 27.66 m/s to 13.83 m/s), average velocity (from 14.39 m/s to 6.88 m/s), and peak temperature (from 1014℃ to 540℃) respectively. Moreover, when the mass fraction of PA-CY reaches 30%, ignition of the dust cannot occur indicating significant inhibitory effects provided by PA-CY.

饲料及其添加剂粉尘具有较高的燃烧热,在生产过程中存在一定的爆燃风险,威胁生命财产安全,预混抑制剂是目前应用最为广泛的一种抑爆手段,但传统抑制剂不可食用,无法加入至饲料类粉尘实现抑爆。因此,以饲料主要添加剂DL-蛋氨酸(DLM)粉尘为研究对象,采用自主合成的营养价值高、绿色可食用生物质基植酸-胞嘧啶(PA-CY),研究了PA-CY对DLM粉尘爆燃火焰传播特性的影响,通过高速摄影和可视化竖直管道记录爆燃火焰传播过程并计算火焰速度,采用热电偶监测火焰温度变化。结果表明:随PA-CY质量分数的升高DLM爆燃火焰亮度持续下降,严重破坏了火焰结构,加入20% PA-CY后火焰峰值速度、平均速度和峰值温度由27.66 m/s、14.39 m/s、1014℃分别下降至13.83 m/s、6.88 m/s、540℃,下降比重达50.0%、52.2%和46.7%,且PA-CY质量分数达30%后粉尘无法被点燃,说明PA-CY抑制效果显著。此结果可为饲料类粉尘爆燃的防治提供理论支持。

饲料及其添加剂粉尘具有较高的燃烧热,在生产过程中存在一定的爆燃风险,威胁生命财产安全,预混抑制剂是目前应用最为广泛的一种抑爆手段,但传统抑制剂不可食用,无法加入至饲料类粉尘实现抑爆。因此,以饲料主要添加剂DL-蛋氨酸(DLM)粉尘为研究对象,采用自主合成的营养价值高、绿色可食用生物质基植酸-胞嘧啶(PA-CY),研究了PA-CY对DLM粉尘爆燃火焰传播特性的影响,通过高速摄影和可视化竖直管道记录爆燃火焰传播过程并计算火焰速度,采用热电偶监测火焰温度变化。结果表明:随PA-CY质量分数的升高DLM爆燃火焰亮度持续下降,严重破坏了火焰结构,加入20% PA-CY后火焰峰值速度、平均速度和峰值温度由27.66 m/s、14.39 m/s、1014℃分别下降至13.83 m/s、6.88 m/s、540℃,下降比重达50.0%、52.2%和46.7%,且PA-CY质量分数达30%后粉尘无法被点燃,说明PA-CY抑制效果显著。此结果可为饲料类粉尘爆燃的防治提供理论支持。

Feed and its additive dusts have a high combustion heat, which poses significant risks of dust explosions during production, thereby threatening life and property safety. Currently, premix inhibitors are widely used as explosion suppression measures. However, traditional inhibitors are inedible and cannot be added to feed dust to achieve explosion suppression. Therefore, this study focuses on the dust of DL-methionine (DLM), a primary additive in feed, and investigates the effect of self-synthesized phytic acid-cytosine (PA-CY), an edible biomass-based compound with nutritional value and environmental friendliness, on the flame propagation characteristics of DLM dust explosions. The flame propagation process was recorded through high-speed photography and visualized in a vertical pipe while calculating the flame velocity. Additionally, thermocouples were used to monitor changes in flame temperature. The results indicate that as the mass fraction of PA-CY increases, the luminosity of DLM dust explosion flames consistently decreases, severely disrupting the flame structure. After adding 20% PA-CY, there is a reduction of 50.0%, 52.2%, and 46.7% in peak velocity (from 27.66 m/s to 13.83 m/s), average velocity (from 14.39 m/s to 6.88 m/s), and peak temperature (from 1014℃ to 540℃) respectively. Moreover, when the mass fraction of PA-CY reaches 30%, ignition of the dust cannot occur indicating significant inhibitory effects provided by PA-CY.

饲料及其添加剂作为可食用粉尘的一种,在畜牧业中扮演着举足轻重的角色,然而其具有可燃性,在工业生产中,当饲料类粉尘弥漫在空气中并与氧气达到一定浓度时,一旦遇到点火源,即可引发爆炸[1-4]。如2007年银川某饲料厂车间加配过程中发生爆炸,致5人受伤;2013年12月新疆梅花氨基酸公司发生氨基酸粉尘爆炸事故,造成2人死亡,6人受伤;2015年三月常州某饲料厂生产车间发生爆炸,导致4人被严重烧伤[5]。因此,研究饲料类粉尘的爆炸及抑制特性,为饲料类粉尘爆炸提供理论与实践支持,对保障生命财产安全具有重要意义。
目前将惰性抑制剂预先混合至可燃粉尘中来降低其爆炸风险被广泛应用于粉尘抑爆领域[6,7],通过研究加入抑制剂前后粉尘爆炸火焰传播特性来得出抑制剂的抑制规律和效果[8,9]。针对可食用粉尘的研究,ZHANG等研究了APP和Mg(OH)2对玉米淀粉爆燃火焰传播及热解过程具有良好的抑制作用[10-12];ZHAO等发现了(NH42HPO4可以有效阻隔小麦淀粉颗粒间的传热,从而降低爆炸反应速率[13];TAN等研究了NH4H2PO4能降低蔗糖粉尘的最大爆炸压力及压力上升速率,并延迟到达峰值的时间[14];WANG等研究了含磷的抑制剂对小麦、玉米淀粉爆炸及热解的抑制效果[15-17];ZHANG等研究了植酸钠(SP)对赖氨酸硫酸盐爆燃的影响,发现SP能有效降低LS爆燃的火焰亮度、温度及传播速度[18]
总结过往研究可知:目前用于可食用粉尘爆炸的传统抑制剂虽然具有良好的抑爆效果,但由于其自身的不可食用性、无营养价值且破坏粉尘原有的食用、医用价值等因素,使其无法应用到实际生产中。基于上述原因,采用植物种子中的天然物质植酸(C6H18O24P6)与核酸(DNA与RNA)中的主要碱基之一,通过绿色环保、无污染、可行性强的水相离子络合反应,自主合成了含有氮磷元素的生物质基抑制剂植物-胞嘧啶(PA-CY)。DL-蛋氨酸(DLM)作为动物生长所必须的氨基酸之一,广泛应用于医药、食品、饲料等领域,由于其生产过程中的易燃性以及应用的广泛性,将作为饲料类粉尘代表,研究PA-CY对DLM爆燃火焰的抑制特性。
实验采用自主搭建的粉尘爆燃火焰传播测试装置,主要由竖直管道、喷粉系统、点火系统、数据采集装置、同步控制系统、高速摄像和精密热电偶组成,如图1所示。其中主体部分为竖直管道,由两段500 mm管道组成,总长1000 mm,横截面为80 mm×80 mm,前后两侧为石英玻璃,用于观察火焰的传播。管道自下而上,底端为盛样皿与蘑菇形分散器,用于盛放实验粉尘以及喷粉,点火电极和精密热电偶分别位于管道底端80 mm和800 mm处。各子系统参数设置如下:喷粉压力为0.16 MPa,点火电极电压为14 kV,点火延迟时间100 ms,持续放电时间200 ms。点火前,将对应工况下的DLM粉尘放置底端盛样皿中,通过高压气体使样品悬浮在管道内形成粉尘云并由点火电极持续放电引燃。采用高速摄像记录管道内粉尘爆炸火焰的传播过程,拍照速率为3000 FPS。为保证实验数据的准确性,同一工况下,每组实验重复三次并求取平均值进行分析。
实验选取的材料为河南优丹食品有限公司生产的食品级DL-蛋氨酸,化学式C5H11NO2S,其颜色呈淡黄色,采用电动筛筛得300~400目DLM粉尘颗粒作为实验材料;采用上海阿拉丁生物科技股份有限公司生产的浓度为70%的植酸溶液和纯度为98%的胞嘧啶自主合成生物质基抑制剂PA-CY,用马尔文Mastersizer激光粒度仪对PA-CY和300~400目DLM进行粒径分析,得出各实验材料的粒径分布图及各特征直径表,如图2表1所示,研究表明粒子的表面积平均粒度(D[32])可以更好地描述粉尘材料的粒度分布[19,20],PA-CY和300~400目DLM的表面积平均粒径分别为7.585 μm与18.86 μm,由于PA-CY的比表面积远大于DLM,为吸附在DLM颗粒表面,阻隔氧气和热量提供了可能。根据前期研究,DLM浓度为350 g/m3、粒径为18.86 μm时爆炸强度最大,因此本文研究了PA-CY对此工况下DLM爆燃火焰传播特性的抑制。
图3所示为未添加抑制剂与添加5%、10%、15%、20%、四种质量分数PA-CY下DLM爆燃火焰传播图像,如图3(a),火焰前期传速向上蔓延,最终火焰基本铺满整个管道,几乎不存在火焰燃烧断层的现象,火焰整体呈现亮黄色,并且在0.2~0.6 m的火焰快速加速与减速区域出现大面积白色过曝区,表明此区域的燃烧反应最为猛烈,且由于火焰后区相比前区燃烧强度更大,说明DLM的燃烧主要集中在火焰后区。随着加入抑制剂质量分数的增大,火焰的白色过曝区逐渐消失,火焰亮度整体下降,出现了亮黄色、橙黄色、橙色、暗红色的转变,且火焰断层不断增多,当加入20% PA-CY时,火焰断层区增加明显,说明区域内的燃烧反应难以进行,管道内燃料不足以支持燃烧反应的进行。
图4为加入PA-CY前后DLM粉尘爆燃火焰结构的对比图,根据图像看出加入PA-CY后火焰的整体亮度明显下降,燃烧反应强度变低,主要是因为PA-CY受热分解,吸收了DLM粉尘热解释放的热量,并且PA-CY的热解产物不支持燃烧,从而使火焰颜色变暗,火焰结构更加离散,白色过曝区域的消失意味着高强度燃烧的区域不再存在。加入抑制剂前后火焰前锋由平滑、饱满、强聚合性转变为颜色暗红、离散状、无明显轮廓,并在前锋内存在火焰间断处。此外,由于抑制剂的存在影响了DLM颗粒间的传热效率,导致火焰传播后期管道下方所获得的能量不足以支持燃烧,因此在管道下半段出现大面积火焰间断区域。根据实验结果可得,随着抑制剂质量分数的增加,DLM粉尘爆燃火焰亮度逐渐降低,火焰结构遭到破坏,火焰间断区域增多,整体的燃烧反应强度持续减小。
图5为不同质量分数PA-CY下DLM爆燃点火延迟时间和管道内火焰传播时间变化曲线,根据点火延迟时间变化曲线可知,加入0%、5%、10%、15%、20% PA-CY所对应的点火延迟时间依次为49、65、74、85、98 ms,火焰传播时间依次为66、82、93、109、138 ms。随着PA-CY质量分数的增大,爆燃点火延迟时间不断增大,并且基本符合线性增长,主要是由于在点火过程中抑制剂热解,延缓了DLM颗粒被点燃的时间;管道内火焰传播时间随着抑制剂量的增加而变大,说明抑制剂可以有效地抑制燃烧的进行,从而有效阻止火焰的蔓延。
图6所示为加入不同质量分数PA-CY下DLM爆燃火焰传播速度与火焰前锋位置变化曲线,根据速度曲线变线可以看到,火焰传播速度的变化规律符合缓慢发展、快速加速、快速减速以及振荡减速四个阶段,这是由于爆燃初期粉尘颗粒被点燃后形成微弱火焰缓慢向四周发展,当触碰管壁后火焰迅速向上蔓延,火焰蔓延过粉尘颗粒气相热解区后速度减缓,并最终由于火焰速度和热解时间的负反馈机制,火焰速度呈振荡变化。对比图6中各曲线,加入抑制剂后燃爆达峰值速度时火焰前锋的位置未受明显影响,均在距离管道底端0.4~0.45 m处,这是由于火焰缓慢发展阶段时间较长,积累热量充足,使得火焰上方的气相预热区范围增加,有利于火焰的快速发展,而抑制剂的加入未改变火焰起始阶段缓慢发展的特征,因此对此位置变化影响较小,但随着抑制剂比例的增加,火焰传播峰值速度和平均速度均持续减小。
此外,在更高质量分数PA-CY的影响下,可以看到火焰速度的缓慢发展阶段时间明显变长,这是由于在燃烧初期当DLM颗粒被点燃后,其燃烧所产生热量的相当一部分被PA-CY热解吸收,导致剩余能量不足以支持DLM颗粒的燃烧以及快速的火焰发展,因此只经历了相对较长时间的低强度燃烧;并且火焰传播速度的震荡减速阶段更为突出,即火焰传播速度的脉动现象更加显著[21,22],主要是由于在火焰传播较快时热解不充分,但抑制剂会降低火焰传播速度,相对促进热解反应效率,从而使反应预热区增加,再使火焰传播速度增加,因此加入抑制剂后,在火焰加速传播时,就会受热解反应不充分和PA-CY抑制作用两种因素的共同制约,从而使抑制剂下的火焰速度脉动现象更为明显。
图7为不同质量分数PA-CY下DLM粉尘爆燃火焰峰值和平均速度拟合曲线,根据拟合结果可知,火焰峰值速度和平均速度曲线的线性拟合相关系数R2均大于0.98,表明此拟合的可信度较高。未加入抑制剂与加入20% PA-CY时爆燃的峰值速度和平均速度分别为27.66、14.39 m/s和13.83、6.88 m/s,下降率分别高达50.0%和52.2%,说明PA-CY不仅对DLM爆燃火焰蔓延具有良好的抑制功效,并且对爆燃火焰峰值和平均速度的抑制效果较为接近。
火焰温度是反应爆燃过程中火焰燃烧反应强度的重要标志,因此通过研究爆燃过程中火焰温度的变化来验证PA-CY对爆燃的抑制效果。如图8所示为不同质量分数PA-CY下DLM粉尘爆燃火焰温度变化曲线,根据图像可以看到,火焰温度随时间先快速增大到峰值温度,随后相对缓慢下降,直至室温。火焰发展初期,火焰位于竖直管道底端,离位于管道偏上方的热电偶较远,因此热电偶未有响应,随着燃烧反应逐渐增强,能量不断释放,由于管壁的限制和气体的膨胀,火焰迅速向上传播,热电偶开始响应,温度迅速上升,当火焰积聚与热电偶处时,温度到达峰值,随后火焰继续向上蔓延,冲出管道顶端,温度逐渐降低。
根据图8,随着PA-CY质量分数的增加,可以看到到达火焰峰值温度的时间逐渐变长,这主要是由于两个原因,一是更高质量分数的抑制剂在初始阶段吸收更多热量,因此被点燃所需的时间更长;二是抑制剂的增加使火焰传播速度下降,从而使火焰到达热电偶所需时间增加。此外,随着PA-CY质量分数的增大,DLM爆燃的峰值温度逐渐降低。温度是衡量燃烧热释放量的重要参数[23],通过计算反应过程中的热释放速率来研究PA-CY对爆燃的影响,热释放速率为单位时间内热释放量的大小,其大小可由式(1)计算
式中:v为火焰传播速度;ρ为所在气体环境的密度;GCV为总热值;A/F为空气质量比燃烧物质量。根据本文2.2节的结论,DLM粉尘爆燃火焰速度与PA-CY质量分数基本呈线性相关,以va代表火焰平均速度,vm代表火焰峰值速度,α代表抑制剂质量浓度,因此vavm可分别由式(2)、式(3)表示
将式(2)、(3)代入式(1),可得,PA-CY质量分数与热释放速率负相关,因此随着PA-CY的增加,DLM爆燃过程中的热释放速率变低。说明由于PA-CY的存在限制了DLM颗粒间的传热效率,并且在燃烧反应中PA-CY自身热解吸收了爆燃释放的热量,最终使热释放速率降低,抑制了DLM的燃烧反应。
图9为不同质量分数PA-CY下DLM粉尘爆燃火焰峰值温度及拟合曲线,当未加入抑制剂时,峰值温度为1014℃,加入5%、10%、15%、20%的PA-CY后爆燃峰值温度分别为1014、861、690、600、540℃,未加入与加入20%抑制剂相比温度下降了46.7%,证明了PA-CY具有出色的抑制性能。将火焰峰值温度曲线拟合,发现各质量分数下的峰值温度具有较好的呈线性相关性,R2为0.9628,可信度较高。
通过将自主制备的生物质基抑制剂PA-CY应用到DLM粉尘爆燃的抑制中,解决了可食用粉尘抑爆过程中由于抑制剂本身毒性或破坏可食用粉尘食用、医用功能的问题,并总结了PA-CY的对爆燃过程中火焰的影响,主要结论如下:
(1)PA-CY抑制了DLM爆燃火焰传播过程,使爆燃过程中的火焰亮度持续降低,由亮黄色密集火焰转变为暗红色离散状,并出现大面积火焰间断区,火焰结构遭到严重破坏,并且随着加入抑制剂的增加,点火延迟时间和火焰传播时间不断变长。
(2)PA-CY质量分数的增加使DLM爆燃的火焰缓慢发展阶段持续变长,震荡减速阶段更为明显,火焰传播速度的脉动频率增加,加入20% PA-CY后火焰峰值速度和平均速度由27.66、14.39m/s分别下降至13.83、6.88 m/s,下降分别高达50.0%和52.2%,且火焰峰值速度和平均速度与PA-CY质量分数基本呈线性相关,R2均大于0.98。
(3)PA-CY的加入使燃烧反应热释放速率降低,热释放量减少,因此火焰峰值温度持续下降,当加入20% PA-CY后火焰峰值温度由1014℃下降至540℃,下降46.7%,说明由于PA-CY限制了DLM颗粒间的传热效率,并且其自身热解吸收了爆燃过程中的热量,所产生的热解产物会通过一系列物理阻隔和化学反应最终抑制了DLM的燃烧。
