To investigate the energy evolution and failure patterns of magnetite during blasting and to minimize the impact of blasting disturbances on the stability of pillars and surrounding rocks, a series of multi-stage strength impact tests were conducted on magnetite samples using a Split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) apparatus. The dynamic response characteristics of magnetite were analyzed, focusing on parameters such as dynamic peak compressive strength, failure modes, fragmentation size, and energy dissipation density under varying strain rates. The results show that magnetite's dynamic peak compressive strength and energy dissipation density increase exponentially with the increase in strain rate. At the same time, the crushing size decreases exponentially, demonstrating a strong strain-rate dependency. The failure process of magnetite can be divided into three stages: crack compaction, elastic deformation, and crushing. The dynamic increase factor (DIF) also increases with the increase in strain rate. The failure mode of magnetite transitions from splitting failure at lower strain rates to crushing failure at higher strain rates as crack interactions intensify. Therefore, when blasting rock breaking is applied to magnetite mining, it is crucial to balance impact strength and energy dissipation to enhance crushing efficiency while meeting the required fragmentation standards.

为探究磁铁矿开采过程中爆破破岩的能量演化及破坏形态规律,减少爆破扰动对矿柱及围岩稳定性的影响,采用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验装置对磁铁矿试样开展多级强度冲击试验,以动态峰值抗压强度、破坏形态、破碎尺寸和能量耗散密度为切入点,分析磁铁矿的动力学响应特征及各动力学参数的应变率效应。研究结果表明:磁铁矿的动态峰值抗压强度和能量耗散密度随应变率增大呈指数增长,破碎尺寸随应变率增大呈指数下降,具有明显的率相关性;磁铁矿的破坏过程分为裂隙压密阶段—弹性变形阶段—破碎阶段,动态强度增强因子DIF值随应变率的增大而增大;磁铁矿试样的破坏模式主要以劈裂破坏为主,随着应变率的增大,裂隙间的相互作用愈加明显,破坏模式从劈裂破坏转为压碎破坏。因此,在满足破碎块度要求的前提下,采用爆破破岩方式开采磁铁矿时应综合考虑冲击强度与能量耗散,以改善磁铁矿石破碎效果,论文研究成果可为磁铁矿精细化破岩、安全高效开采提供理论支撑。

为探究磁铁矿开采过程中爆破破岩的能量演化及破坏形态规律,减少爆破扰动对矿柱及围岩稳定性的影响,采用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验装置对磁铁矿试样开展多级强度冲击试验,以动态峰值抗压强度、破坏形态、破碎尺寸和能量耗散密度为切入点,分析磁铁矿的动力学响应特征及各动力学参数的应变率效应。研究结果表明:磁铁矿的动态峰值抗压强度和能量耗散密度随应变率增大呈指数增长,破碎尺寸随应变率增大呈指数下降,具有明显的率相关性;磁铁矿的破坏过程分为裂隙压密阶段—弹性变形阶段—破碎阶段,动态强度增强因子DIF值随应变率的增大而增大;磁铁矿试样的破坏模式主要以劈裂破坏为主,随着应变率的增大,裂隙间的相互作用愈加明显,破坏模式从劈裂破坏转为压碎破坏。因此,在满足破碎块度要求的前提下,采用爆破破岩方式开采磁铁矿时应综合考虑冲击强度与能量耗散,以改善磁铁矿石破碎效果,论文研究成果可为磁铁矿精细化破岩、安全高效开采提供理论支撑。

To investigate the energy evolution and failure patterns of magnetite during blasting and to minimize the impact of blasting disturbances on the stability of pillars and surrounding rocks, a series of multi-stage strength impact tests were conducted on magnetite samples using a Split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) apparatus. The dynamic response characteristics of magnetite were analyzed, focusing on parameters such as dynamic peak compressive strength, failure modes, fragmentation size, and energy dissipation density under varying strain rates. The results show that magnetite's dynamic peak compressive strength and energy dissipation density increase exponentially with the increase in strain rate. At the same time, the crushing size decreases exponentially, demonstrating a strong strain-rate dependency. The failure process of magnetite can be divided into three stages: crack compaction, elastic deformation, and crushing. The dynamic increase factor (DIF) also increases with the increase in strain rate. The failure mode of magnetite transitions from splitting failure at lower strain rates to crushing failure at higher strain rates as crack interactions intensify. Therefore, when blasting rock breaking is applied to magnetite mining, it is crucial to balance impact strength and energy dissipation to enhance crushing efficiency while meeting the required fragmentation standards.

磁铁矿是一种典型的脆性岩体,矿石和围岩的完整性较好,稳定性优良,多采用崩落法开采[1]。爆破由于其经济性和高效性,是崩落法开采最主要的破岩方式,但该破岩方式破碎块度难以控制,矿石需要进行二次破碎加工;爆破振动对周边围岩扰动性较大,在长时间爆破扰动作用下,矿柱及围岩易产生动态损伤劣化,进而诱发安全生产事故[2,3]。因此,需要开展相应的动力学试验,探究磁铁矿在不同冲击荷载作用条件下的动力学特性和破坏模式。而分离式霍布金森压杆(SHPB)设备是测试岩石材料在冲击加载作用下力学响应特性的一种有效手段,可对冲击、爆炸等动力扰动作用下岩石的受力特征开展多工况深入探究[4,5]
近年来,众多专家学者利用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)设备研究了多种岩石的动态力学特性和破坏形态及能量耗散规律,并取得了大量有价值的成果。王浩等对不同含水率状态凝灰岩在不同应变率下的动态力学特性和破裂破碎特征展开了研究[6],发现试件峰值应力和弹性模量具有明显的率效应。张蓉蓉等对红砂岩试样开展F-T循环和T-S循环冲击压缩试验[7],结果表明红砂岩的动态应力—应变曲线分为裂隙压密阶段—弹性变形阶段—破坏阶段。陈见行等对循环加卸载预处理过的冲击性砂岩开展了不同冲击气压条件下的动态压缩试验[8],分析了冲击性砂岩的动态力学响应特性和块度分布特征。杨世兴等采用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)进行单次冲击试验[9],分析了分级尾砂胶结充填体在不同动态冲击荷载下的动力学特性。刘志义等利用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)设备开展一维动静组合加载研究[10],分析了轴压比与冲击速度对磁铁矿石破碎效果和能量利用率的影响。戴兵等对预制平行裂隙岩石进行动态冲击试验[11],探究了裂隙角度和加载速率对岩石能耗规律和损伤变化的影响。肖鹏等采用改进的分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)研究了动静组合加载下预制裂隙对岩石动态力学响应和破坏形态的影响规律[12]。刘小庆等利用分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验装置开展动态断裂冲击试验[13],分析了夹层复合岩石的能量演化规律及断裂特征。
综上可知,目前砂岩、花岗岩和凝灰岩等为分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验装置的主要研究对象,且主要研究内容围绕岩体的岩爆倾向性和冲击地压致灾机理展开,而针对磁铁矿开采过程中的岩石破碎、能耗分析及爆破破岩对周边围岩和矿柱稳定性的影响研究较少。因此,为改善磁铁矿破碎效果,减少爆破破岩对周边围岩稳定性的影响,论文以磁铁矿为研究对象,开展相关动力学冲击试验,分析不同冲击气压强度条件下磁铁矿石的动态力学特性和破坏模式。
此次SHPB冲击试验所用磁铁矿试样均取自程潮铁矿-430 m中段生产过程中的大块岩样。试样制备符合国际岩石力学协会(ISRM)的相关规定,选用长径比为0.5的试样进行冲击试验,试样直径d=50 mm、高度h=25 mm,部分岩石试样如图1所示。
分离式霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验系统由发射装置、应力传递装置、固定调平装置、测量记录装置组成。子弹、入射杆、透射杆及缓冲杆均为高强度合金钢,杠杆密度为7850 g/cm3,纵波波速5180 m/s,弹性模量210 GPa,杆件直径均为50 mm,入射杆长度为3000 mm,透射杆长2500 mm,子弹长400 mm。试验过程中通过分析入射杆和透射杆上粘贴的电阻应变片电阻信息的变化计算入射波、反射波和透射波。图2为本次试验系统实物图。
此次试验选择入射波整形法即在子弹和入射杆之间粘贴整形器,消除波形在传播过程中的弥散作用,在试样中较好地平衡应力和均匀变形。
SHPB试验的基本原理是应力波在弹性杆中的传播理论,它建立在应力均匀性和一维应力波传播2个基本假设的基础上。论文采用“三波法”处理试验波形数据[14,15],通过入射杆上的应变片1测得的入射波应变εIn(t)和反射波应变εRe(t)及透射杆上应变片2测得的透射波应变εTr(t),计算得到磁铁矿试样的应力σs,应变率和应变εs
式中:Ce为弹性杆的波速;Ee为弹性杆的弹性模量;Ae为弹性杆横截面积;Ls为磁铁矿试样长度;As为磁铁矿试样横截面积;t为应力波持续时间。
为探究不同冲击强度下磁铁矿试样的动态力学特性和破坏形态及能量耗散规律,此次冲击试验选择0.2 MPa、0.3 MPa、0.4 MPa、0.5 MPa四级冲击强度,试验过程中记录分离式霍普金森杆(SHPB)子弹射出速度并计算峰值应力、峰值应变、平均应变率等,其中平均应变率是试样到达峰值应力前的应变-时间曲线线性拟合变化率。
此次冲击试验中,通过控制气压的强度和子弹的位置来控制子弹射出的速度。设定试验过程的冲击气压分别为0.2 MPa、0.3 MPa、0.4 MPa、0.5 MPa,子弹射出平均速度分别为7.43 m/s、9.35 m/s、11.9 m/s、13.27 m/s。图3为通过多组试验后得到的子弹射出速度与冲击气压的线性关系。
SHPB冲击试验可靠的前提主要是基于一维应力波与应变(应力)均匀性这两个假定,因此,对加载过程中岩样的应力平衡情况的检验是保证试验结果准确的前提[16]。利用动态单轴压缩试验过程的入射信号、反射信号和透射信号进行动态应力平衡状态分析,以此衡量试验设备的可靠性。由图4可知,入射与反射的应力曲线之和与透射应力的曲线基本重合,表明试样在冲击加载过程中处于应力平衡状态[17]
图5为SHPB冲击试验中记录的不同冲击气压条件下的原始波形图。随着冲击气压的增加,入射波波峰逐渐增加,透射波与入射波方向变化趋势相同,但峰值差异较大,说明磁铁矿石的波阻抗与弹性杆有较大差异。反射波峰值的增大一定程度上反映了磁铁矿岩石内部的破碎程度,是由于冲击荷载的作用导致岩石内部原有微裂隙发育扩展、新裂隙产生发育,裂隙的增多影响了反射波和透射波的传播。根据“三波法”理论,较大的反射波表示较大的应变率,较大的透射波表示较大的材料应力,磁铁矿试样的应变率和所受应力也会随着冲击气压的提高而相应提高,表现出明显的率效应。
使用“三波法”计算公式,计算获得不同冲击强度下磁铁矿石的应变率和应力—应变曲线。SHPB冲击试验中,动态应力达到峰值后岩石应力—应变曲线会出现2种形态:动态峰值应力小于试样材料的屈服强度,试样保持完整性未发生破坏,试样内部储存的弹性能释放,产生明显的回弹现象,应力—应变曲线出现卸载段,曲线呈现为闭口型。动态峰值应力大于试样材料的屈服强度,试样产生不可逆的破坏,变形出现累积增加,应力—应变曲线呈开口型。
图6为此次冲击试验试样在不同冲击气压下的动态应力—应变曲线。由试验结果可知,试验所得到的应力—应变曲线均呈开口型,即冲击气压大于0.2 MPa时,磁铁矿试样的动态峰值抗压强度均超过磁铁矿试样本身的屈服强度,试样产生了不可逆的破坏。
岩石材料是天然的非均质材料,试样内部含有较多的微裂隙,一般而言,磁铁矿石的应力—应变曲线的变化规律大致经历三个阶段[18]。动态加载初期,磁铁矿试样在低应力作用下内部微裂隙逐渐闭合,应力—应变曲线上出现非线性上升阶段—裂隙压密阶段;继而随着应力值的增加至某一阶段时,进入弹性变形阶段,应力—应变曲线出现一定范围的弹性增长;在弹性变形阶段末端,应力达到峰值进入到破坏阶段,该阶段已经超出了峰值应力但岩石仍具有一定的抗压能力,这个抗压能力随着试样应变的增大逐渐减小直到破坏。由图6可以看出,此次试验选择的铁矿岩石完整性较好,原生裂隙较少,所以在动态加载过程中压密阶段表现并不明显。
表1为根据“三波法”计算公式和岩石应力—应变曲线所得到的不同冲击强度下岩石的应变率、动态抗压强度和弹性模量。由试验结果可知,随着冲击气压的增加,磁铁矿石的应变率、动态峰值抗压强度和弹性模量均随之增加,具有明显的应变率效应。将动态峰值抗压强度与准静态抗压强度之比定义为动态强度增长因子DIF(dynamic increase factor)。
式中:Fd表示材料的动态抗压强度;Fs材料的准静态抗压强度。
课题组前期研究成果表明,同批次磁铁矿试样的平均单轴抗压强度为127 MPa,计算得到不同冲击强度下,磁铁矿试样的动态强度增长因子DIF值分别为1.02、1.27、1.49、1.69。结果可知,磁铁矿试样的动态强度增长因子DIF均大于1,认为在此次试验的冲击强度条件下,磁铁矿试样在冲击作用下的动态抗压强度明显高于准静态加载的抗压强度。这是因为在动态加载初期,由于动态冲击时间极为短暂,使得试样内部的原生微裂隙没有足够的时间进一步扩展,可以理解为动态冲击对岩样内部微裂纹的扩展具有一定的抑制作用,且冲击强度(应变率)越大,这种抑制作用越明显,从而岩样的动态强度增长因子就越大。
图7为磁铁矿试样在不同冲击强度下的破碎程度和破碎状态,可以看出所有试样均发生破坏,但破坏形态存在一定差异。应变率为66 s-1时,试样表面产生少量的微裂纹,但整体保持较好的完整性;应变率为87 s-1时,试样沿着平行于压应力方向起裂,并相互贯通产生宏观裂隙,试样表现为明显的柱状劈裂破坏;应变率为107 s-1时,试样仍表现为柱状劈裂破坏,但岩石的破碎程度和破碎面的数量明显高于应变率87 s-1时;应变率为126 s-1时,试样内部微裂纹的激活程度较高,试样表现为压碎和柱状劈裂混合的破坏模式。总体而言,磁铁矿试样的破碎尺寸随着应变率的增加越来越小,试样的失效模式也由产生微裂隙转变为粉碎性破坏,说明磁铁矿的应变率效应较为明显。
岩石在动态破碎过程中,能量耗散是驱动岩石材料破坏的主要因素,由热力学定律可知,岩石破坏的过程实质是能量的吸收、转化和释放的一个过程,试样在冲击荷载的作用下产生不可逆的能量耗散现象[19],冲击应力通过入射杆传播至岩石界面时,一部分能量以反射拉伸波的形式反射回入射杆,另一部分能量以透射压缩波的形式继续传播,还有部分能量被岩样吸收,以弹性能的形式储存在岩样内部,即能量耗散。岩石破坏后的碎块大小、数量和尺度分布即是能量耗散的宏观表现[20]
根据弹性应力波理论和功能转化原理,由SHPB试验所得的入射波σIr(t),反射波σRe(t)、透射波σTr(t)可计算出入射能EIn、反射能ERe和透射能ETr分别为
式中:ρe为弹性杆的密度;Ce为弹性杆的波速;Ae为弹性杆横截面积;t为应力波持续时间。
考虑到弹性杆与试样界面损失的能量,岩块破碎时的热能、声能及弹射动能等其他耗能较小,因此可忽略。根据能量守恒定律,岩样的吸收能EA
考虑到不同尺寸磁铁矿石对能量吸收的影响,定义破碎能耗密度EV

图8为不同应变率水平下四种能量和应力演化过程图。可以看出,能量的演化过程与试样的动态应力—应变曲线相对应,分为裂隙压密—弹性变形—破坏三个阶段。裂隙压密阶段,试样在低应力的作用下原有微裂隙逐渐闭合,应力波所传递的能量主要用于裂隙闭合。随着应力值的增加,岩石进入弹性变形即持续吸能阶段,此时试样内部原生微裂隙全部闭合,不断地发生弹性变形,因此试样吸收的能量以弹性能的方式储存在岩石内部,并由于试样和弹性杆波阻抗的差异,部分能量被反射或透射。在弹性变形阶段末端,应力达到峰值进入破坏阶段,此时岩石仍具有一定的抗压能力,试样内部仍存在能量吸收、转化和释放的过程,直到岩石完全破碎,作用在试样上的应力消失,能量演化过程结束,入射能、反射能、透射能和吸收能不再变化。
为直观反映磁铁矿在冲击载荷作用下各部分能量占总入射能的比例,分别用透射率、反射率和吸收率反应试样的能量传递特征[21]。应变率较低时,应力波透射率远大于反射率,这是因为磁铁矿的岩石结构较为致密,密度较高,试样波阻抗与弹性杆的匹配度较高。随着应变率的增大,出现了应力波反射率增大,透射率降低的现象,这是因为随着应变率的提高,试样径向变形加剧,导致试样的波阻抗与弹性杆的匹配度降低,应力波的反射率增加而透射率降低。
高应变率动态冲击作用下,在主贯通裂纹形成之前,由于能量释放面积和裂纹扩展速度的限制,新裂纹无法扩展或进一步贯通,但耗散了大量能量,间接提高了岩样的宏观破坏强度。随着应变率的增加,岩石的能量耗散密度随之增加,且增长速率逐渐增大。在应变率较低时,岩石内部产生少量的微裂隙,此时能耗较低,当应变率增加时,岩石内部的裂纹数急剧增长且开始扩展,因此导致能耗快速增加。
图9可以看出磁铁矿试样的动态峰值抗压强度和能量耗散密度随应变率的增加呈指数增长,平均破坏尺寸随应变率的增加呈指数下降。这是因为应变率的增高改变了岩石内部应力波的传递和变形机制,试样内部的裂纹数量急剧增长且快速扩展,吸收了更多的能量,则磁铁矿试样破坏时耗散和释放的能量相应也就更多,激发产生的微裂纹数目较多,使试样的破碎程度更为彻底。
图10可知磁铁矿试样的动态峰值抗压强度随破碎能量耗散密度呈幂指数函数增加,同样地,磁铁矿石的破碎尺寸与破碎能量耗散密度之间也满足幂指数函数关系。这是由于随着试样能量耗散密度的增加,试样破坏前积聚的可释放的弹性能越多,破坏时能量耗散和释放更多的能量导致试样的损伤程度增大,试样破碎尺寸更小。
论文通过对磁铁矿试样开展不同冲击强度下的霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验,研究了在冲击荷载作用下磁铁矿的动态力学特性和破坏形态及能量耗散规律。具体结论如下:
(1)磁铁矿在动态冲击作用下的破碎形态主要受冲击荷载强度的影响。若冲击强度在试样的弹性范畴内,主要表现为内部微裂纹的产生,并未产生宏观的裂隙或变形。若冲击强度超出了试样的弹性范畴,磁铁矿试样的破裂可分为裂隙压密阶段—弹性变形阶段—破碎阶段,且岩石破坏以劈裂破坏为主。
(2)随着应变率的增大,动态峰值抗压强度和能量耗散能密度呈指数增加,破碎尺寸与应变率呈负指数关系,且随着应变率的增大逐渐趋于平缓。
(3)磁铁矿的动态峰值抗压强度随破碎能量耗散密度呈幂指数函数增加,破碎尺寸与破碎能量耗散密度之间也满足幂指数函数关系。说明能量耗散密度越高,试样吸收能量越多,激发产生更多微裂纹数量,试样的破碎程度更为彻底。
